Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas spent all of November and December in a flurry of wedding preparations, pre-wedding festivities and at least a dozen weddings and wedding receptions. It was epic in a terrible, cringe-worthy way. And I know, if you have the money, those over-the-top wedding celebrations are a thing in many Asian cultures. But that’s just it – it really was two full months of weddings and wedding sh-t, and all of it was sponsored. It was a tacky spon-con extravaganza. I’m still mad about it.
In 2019, Priyanka and Nick finally took a break from their non-stop weddings and IDK, maybe they went on a honeymoon at long last? Looking through her Instagram, they did go on a ski trip around New Year’s, so maybe that was it. They’re back in LA now, and they got pap’d at Craig’s in West Hollywood last night. I loathe her jeans. I had those jeans in 1996 too – I hated them then and rarely wore them. It’s weird that they’re back in style.
Anyway, this is just a reminder that we’ve gone almost four full weeks without another Priyanka-Nick wedding. Which probably means they’re pregnant already. Just a guess.

I think they’re cute together. If I had the money/could get sponsors, I would totally have multiple parties in honor of my wedding. Especially if it was part of my culture. I feel like people are extra angry about this coupling and it’s weird to me. There are soo many thirsty celebrities out there.

I’ve said before I’ll be honestly surprised by a quick pregnancy. She’s on the hunt for movie roles, and I don’t mean in small indies that can shoot around a pregnancy. I mean ROLES. But who knows, maybe she’s fine with the long game.

I don’t get the flack she receives for wedding celebration. Cue to multiple parties, very extravagant, at the same time for Deepika Padukone and Isha Ambani, both prominent people in India. Priyanka just gets more attention in international circles. Yes Indian weddings are crazy lavish, yes there are multiple parties and celebrations. I would totally have sponsors for mine because why should I spend my money if I can get someone else to? You can spend millions of dollars on a wedding, better to have sponsors. Why does she get so much bashing for her parties? It’s totally cultural. And as for sponsors, seriously, who wouldn’t take them? I am fine with this couple. They don’t have to make sense, they just have to be happy together. 40% of marriages in this country end in divorce, so clearly some things are more important than love, and maybe they just do love each other. After her being in Bollywood for so long I am not surprised that she chose someone who gave her much more respect than she ever received in the industry.
People seem to have this instinct that they need to shame these two for their relationship, whether it is the age difference, race, culture, or an inherent bias against one or the other. That these two don’t act ashamed really seems to annoy people. That combined with a lot of ignorance because of how few people actually knowledable about both of them as well as their families and countries.
It is common to have a whole week of celebrations and more than one reception in rich, influental Indian circles. They spend crazy on the whole thing. See the weddings of Deepika Padukone and Isha Ambani at a similar time to Priyanka’s. Also I was so sure she would get pregnant like now, but it seems she has another movie to do. Most likely end of this year she’ll get pregnant and announce sonetime in 2020.
