Tom Hiddleston stepped out solo at celeb hotspot Craig’s in West Hollywood

Tom Hiddleston grabs dinner at Craig's

Tom Hiddleston is in LA this week, and I only found out about it because he stepped out last night for dinner at Craig’s. Craig’s is a celebrity hot-spot – celebrities are always getting pap’d going in and out of Craig’s in West Hollywood, so much so that I think paparazzi just stake out the restaurant rather than waiting for a “tip” that so-and-so will be there.

The photo agency said that Tom arrived and left alone – he either had a car and driver, or he used Uber or Lyft. I wonder what’s going on there – did he DINE alone, or did he just arrive and leave alone, and meet someone inside? Is he in town for business or pleasure? He’s signed on for that Disney+ streaming service Loki series, so maybe he was in town doing some meetings about that. Or maybe he came to LA to beg Taylor Swift for another chance. PLEASE LET THAT BE THE REASON.

Anyway, I like that Tom is getting pap’d a bit more this year. I can’t believe he went to such a celeb-hotspot! He wanted to be seen, I guess. Maybe that was part of his plan to ensnare Tay-Tay in his dragonfly web once again.

I would bang him like a screen door.

Ah, something warm on this ridiculously cold morning. The guy has to eat. The beard has been trimmed. Some pictures with glasses, some without glasses. He was in New York a week or so ago too. Hopefully, these are meetings for new projects, although the Betrayal rehearsals are probably starting soon.

Hot chocolate in the sun room?
      Too cold for veranda!!
      Stay warm everybody!!

      • Lightpurple says:

The veranda is currently covered in ice. We are serving hot chocolate in the music room, which affords us a lovely view of Colin, Mark, and Matthias as they try to clear away the ice.

      • Emmet says:

        @LP
Thanks, will bring sheet music 🙂

      • antipodean says:

Dear LP, so sad the veranda is out of bounds due to polar vortexs, but a cosy sun room is an inviting alternative! I am thrilled to see that Mark is back to serve our beverages of choice. A hot chocolate with floating mini marshmallows would go down a treat about now. How lovely to see Hiddles out and about in WeHo, especially in that fetching pea coat, it is interesting to speculate as to who he might be meeting there! Business or pleasure? Hopefully his purpose will eventually be revealed! I had the feeling he was currently working in the West End, or is that gig over now? Anyhoo always good to join all our veranda pals over a Hot Hiddles.

I wonder are some new projects going to be announced or is this connected to the Loki series, as in he has to be seen out a bit more. Its a good way to do it, go to a pap spot, but alone and don’t give them anything more than that. I genuinely think he learned that the hard way with Swift.
He looks good. FLUFF and LEGS!

    • Lightpurple says:

The beard has been trimmed a bit. I think this is going to be the look for Betrayal, for which he’s probably starting rehearsals soon.

      • Lindy79 says:

Even though I wont see it (sob), I’m excited to hear about the progress with it and hopefully we’ll see a bit of him out and about in London.

      • Lightpurple says:

I expect there will be promotional work like interviews in The Guardian or Evening Standard and maybe a Graham Norton appearance. And then we will have the reviews.

      • Lindy79 says:

Whoo hoo! I’d love it he does Norton again. Just no more DeNiro (which he was totally put on the spot to do and too polite to say no).

    • so cool says:

Apparently Zawe Ashton is in LA, so maybe they will made some Betrayal promo? Or maybe he was on Stan Lee tribute? Finger cross for some new project

      • Lindy79 says:

Just wait for people to start linking them baselessly because they’re doing a play and in the same city

We agreed I would slip out the back so as not to be seen together
    *wakes up from dream*

  5. Case says:

Upon seeing this post I realized he was in my dream last night. Oh my.

  6. Harryg says:

He is so cute and seems like a good guy. He handled the Taylor Swift-episode really gracefully.

  7. Ninette says:

No way was he there to dine alone! Anyways I hope he is getting plenty of both business and pleasure while in LA.

  8. Dani says:

Man he looks so good here. I’m not even ashamed. SO GOOD.

  9. Pandy says:

Sorry, but Joe Alwyn is a hunk (is that term still used??) – no WAY Hiddles is an upgrade!

    • DahliaDee says:

      In what alternate reality?

    • so cool says:

Well if you likes guys with dead eyes 🙂
JA isn’t hot or even cute. Dude looks like 12 yo kid. I can’t imagine a women who wthinks he is a hunk 🙂 Maybe she is 12 yo also 🙂

      • Cransby says:

“Dude looks like 12 yo kid. . . . Maybe she is 12 yo also”

You make a good point. Based on looks, JA and TS are a better fit. They both look like they’re still in adolescence. I say looks because I’m sure JA is more mature than TS.

Although to give her some credit I think she also has learned some lessons from the backlash to all her manipulative pr/sm games.

    • Case says:

Joe’s face is just so strange to me. It completely lacks definition. I saw both films he was in this winter, Mary Queen of Scots and The Favourite. He was fine. Not terribly exciting to watch, and not the next big thing, despite all the press he got for the films.

    • virginfangirl says:

Stay in your own lane. No one’s going to agree with you here.

    • TaniaOG says:

      @Pandy: muahahaha what!?

  10. so cool says:

Confession – Hiddles is my fashion guru 🙂 Last year I made a capsule wardrobe and now I realise that I practically have one uniform which I love. So he can be an inspiration 🙂

  11. Brownbear says:

Seems like a nice, good natured man but oh so thirsty. Love him as Loki esp in the very first Thor film (kind of Shakespearean or whatever family drama with more depth than your usual superhero film probably thanks to Hopkins and Branagh). However as a cheerful, eager-to-please dark blond guy or whatever his colouring technically is he just doesn’t do it for me. He’s been derided as a “professional Bond campaigner” but honestly, for me, he’s the sort of guy you wouldn’t mind winning a major role like Bond, getting lots of awards, and becoming part of a celebrity power couple with clout even though he would probably go on and on about himself in interviews and get overexcited with everything. So what I’m trying to say with this war-and-peace post is his niceness helps dilute his strong thirst.

    • Justme says:

He hasn’t acted the way you are describing in years. He’s been very quiet and well . . “low-key”. I think that suddenly getting all the attention did overexcite him, but that was more of a 2013 thing. He was pulling back from that even before HIddleswift.

    • so cool says:

Yeah Hiddles is the only thirsty guy in HW. 🙂 Idris propose to his girl on scene with people to watch, but it hey he is cool. Chris H is selling his family on Insta with Elsa, but hey it isn’t thirst. Pryanka and Jonas dude are getting married every day, but it is ok. But Hiddles is uncool, so people on SM, who want to be so cool, are making fune of him and bullying. Like they did with Anne Hathaway.
So what would you say aboout Ramie Malik, who is pretending he doesn’t know Singer, so he can get an Oscar. Is it thisrt or not?

      • Brownbear says:

Good points, Justme and so cool. I guess Hiddleston is just not subtle and “not cool.” Pryanka and Jonas aren’t even in this category – aren’t they celebrities rather than serious “talents”? Idris plays the media game but has never seemed in your face to me – or maybe I haven’t been paying enough attention. The Bohemian Rapsody guy has an excuse at least for now – he is pushing the PR for the Oscars. I block Elsa and Chris Hems out as their shoelesss Byron Bay lifestyle with the cute kids seems so boring to me.

    • Cransby says:

“He’s been derided as a “professional Bond campaigner””

BB you are in error. That slam of him is yet again the sm/celeb gossip going overdrive to tear someone down. He was not promoting himself as Bond any more than others. In UK it’s very common thing to constantly speculate who will be the “next Bond” or who would be a good Bond. Several other British/AU actors where regularly being brought up alone with Hiddles, the guy from Poldark, Idris of course and a few others. It’s something the celebrity pr media does all the time.
What made it worse for Hiddles is that TNM was a Bond character type and so this fueled the idea that he was a serious front runner for Bond. For a long time he politely played along with all the speculation, but it was always in terms of humoring this media process. After a while you could see he was getting annoyed with constantly being asked the same thing about Bond. But TH is a consummate professional and gentleman and he would always follow his revealing tell and would thank the media person for their compliment and express how much of an honor it would be to even be considered to play Bond but that as far as he knew it wasn’t even a possibility because D. Craig still held the part.

      • Cransby says:

        cont.

I do agree that his management or agency would put out the cues to media folks to ask him about “Bond rumors” as a way to promote him or his current project. As I said, he went along for a while as he thought it was customary pr business.

But I think they were the ones that were pushing this tactic, mostly out of laziness. He was obviously surprised when big US media journalist ie. GMA would run with this idea. He obviously didn’t think it should be brought up in any serious discussion about his career and would clarify that the Bond rumor assumption was likely due to his role as Pine in TNM. On GMA show he was literally surprised, almost shocked as to why the host was bring up Bond rumors as a serious possibly.
This is why I always maintain that his management or agency did not take good care of him. They saw that we was very likeable, and he able to attract a lot of attention because of his open playfulness. So instead of giving him more hands on representation and career planning, they did the least amount of work to promote and protect him. Outside of the few projects that weren’t Loki, they did not help him craft relationships with industry people to get more and better roles, even if they were small roles. Maybe he didn’t pay them enough or only for one year, but it seems most of his more significant work is stuff he landed through his own connections ie. Brannah, RADA.
I think TH doesn’t do the high stakes agency because it costs too much $ for the really good, quality representation and management. I think he has a much better idea how Hollywood / studio film business works now, but it seems to me that he’s getting work through his own relationships and networking as opposed to paying $$ to an greedy, indifferent agency.

      • Brownbear says:

Cransby, maybe you’re right. For some reason they just latched onto him. Anyway, I’m not saying he’s unlikeable. They all play the PR game but somehow TH might have stood out a bit more for whatever reason. Taylor Swift doesn’t get the thirsty comments now and she disappeared for as long as TH did after they were both playing it for all they could.

    • Lightpurple says:

Sure, so thirsty that he pretty much disappeared for most of the past year

      • Brownbear says:

Disappeared only after the backlash though…

      • Lightpurple says:

Actually, no, he didn’t. He attended several awards ceremonies and promoted several movies, as his contracts required. If he was as thirsty as you claim, he would have been in our faces constantly. They broke up in in August 2016. This is 2019.

  12. Clairej says:

Tom is so lovely. I still love him, but lately he has been replaced in my heart by Bill Skarsgard. But wonderful to see Tom out and about.

  13. virginfangirl says:

I never cared for the cool guys. I have always had a thing for the good looking nerds.

  14. Tigerlily says:

Breath of fresh air to see Hiddles. He’s looking great

  15. PutnamPrincess says:

He has been so quiet since TNM. Maybe he was in town for meetings about a role. It would be nice to see him on the big screen again.

  16. chsmeleon says:

Craigs is THE place to go to be papped everyone knows this and many celebs go for this reason, so Mr. Thirsty here must have known or been told this.
Also he may have have attended the SAG after party on Sunday night. I have not lookef at those pics.

    • Cranberry says:

Obviously he’s here for business. Otherwise he wouldn’t have left his comfortable London home and sweet, little Bobby. Stop calling him thirsty when he’s doing the same thing everyone in the business is doing like going to popular, Hollywood “hot spot”.

He doesn’t live in US, and when he’s in town it’s for business. Someone could have told him to try it out. It’s got to be popular for a reason other than celebrity sightings. He also could have been meeting someone there. He has been spotted at other West Hollywood cafes before so it’s likely he stays at a hotel in that area as it’s a very nice city and not far from studios where he may have meetings with execs / industry folk. So stop with the petty celebrity nit picking. It’s old.
