I doubt Melania blocked Ivanka outright. If anything she didn’t want to be First Lady and would have totally gave Ivanka the Wing office if it was possible to do without people yelling.
Nagini didn’t want First Lady duties. Organizing egg rolls, Christmas parties, and visiting troops isn’t her thing. Nagini wants power and she has it in the West Wing, at great financial expense to us, and she’s tried to grab it internationally by inserting herself into international summits where she doesn’t belong.
Melania probably does try to undermine her but Nagini most likely just ignores her and does what she wants any way. She likely has no patience for Daddy’s third wife.

I thought she was really good last night— inspiring, prepared, passionate, explained things in lay men’s terms and came across warm! The attendees seemed very receptive and enthusiastic too!
I like her a lot. She’s had some stumbles, but I hope she learned her lesson from falling into Trump’s trap last time. Now, it’s just a matter of whether any of the voters who let their internalized misogyny get the better of them in 2016 have done any real reflection.
@ Veronica-I’ve spent the last three days arguing with Bernie Bros about her so I’m pretty sure that The Army of Angry Men are already targeting her, from both the left and the right. My favorite complaint from the Bros is that Warren is a useless traitor because she “didn’t throw her support to Bernie” in 2016. LOL priorities, amirite?

I know we still have time and the primaries will be important but I can’t imagine finding another candidate that I like more than Warren. Happy to see her getting the credit she deserves for her bold-yet-realistic progressive policies.

I haven’t seen it either but I have been to a number of her town halls and Senate events and always found her engaging, funny, well-informed on issues that matter to her constituents, and positively brilliant
Yes! I have never understood the criticims of her being cold or boring. I find her to be quite the opposite: warm and engaging. I’m happy to see other people getting to know that side of her 🙂
I’ve watched a few of her events and rallies on youtube as well as her speech at the Edward M. Kennedy Institute from 2015 and I thought she was incredible.

I saw the clips today online. Warren is everything I’d love in a president! Love her strategy of sticking to policy and the issues. A serious person for a serious role. And actually qualified for the job!
Longtime lurker/reader here. First of all, thank you for all of the links and the information over the last couple of years. I try to watch all of the documentaries and read all of the links posted here. I’ve learned a lot! I liked Elizabeth Warren when she seemed to speak up about holding people and companies accountable for the mess surrounding the 2008 Recession. I want to like her…but I can’t get past the fact that she may have irresponsibly or intentionally, identified herself as a Native American for gain.
Bill Clinton was a sleazy, dirty old man. Trump and his gross family are kings of the sleazy Right. I am just so done with sleaziness in the White House! Elizabeth Warren- as much as I like her- her credibility’s in question for me. How is everyone else able to get past that she got ahead by stealing from minorities? Please, if I’ve gotten something wrong, I want to know. Thanks.

She did not claim to be Native American when applying to the University of Houston or Rutgers, the schools she attended. It was not a factor in her hiring anywhere because there was no slot for a Native American, like her detractors keep falsely claiming.
Yes, she claimed it on a bar registration form, which means NOTHING, because bar registration is never race based and the person must have met the other requirements of a bachelor’s degree, a JD, a passing bar score, and usually a passing MPRE score.

It’s not “NOW”. It was a very unwelcomed by the Pope meeting of heads of states in 2017, and the Pope has, both before and since that visit, stated publicly his opinion on Trump’s policies. The Pope is a head of state. Trump is a head of state. To do his job, the Pope must meet with other heads of state, whether he approves of them or not. And the Trumps chose to insult this Pope to his face by ignoring the protocol on attire and wearing those ridiculous get-ups.
