I will never understand why so many women wear this shade of beige. Mandy Moore looks beautiful otherwise. The beige dress is Emilia Wickstead, btw. [Red Carpet Fashion Awards]

HATE that beige, looks like underwear.

    • tealily says:

I actually think it looks very beautiful!

      • minx says:

She looks beautiful, yes. I just think of all the wonderful colors you could wear…or white or black or silver. And then there’s…nude. Not my favorite.

      • Holly says:

My 5 bridesmaids wore this color in 1999. It was actually really pretty (I thought), but maybe they were silently cursing me lol

    • Bella Bella says:

I think it might be a rose blush color but is photographing poorly.

  2. Veronica S. says:

I love those blush tones, but they are definitely not the best for lighter skin or in large quantities of fabric. Great for shoes! Lingerie! Maybe one piece of an outfit! But it definitely needs an accent color to work with.

    • Erinn says:

I agree. When you’re really fair, I find it looks better when it’s a bit more mauve leaning just to create the contrast from the skin. Love the shade, but I’d look awful in it. I also don’t like the top part of her dress.

    • Tiffany :) says:

A couple months ago I did searches for spring trends, and every source said “Beige”. Now I am seeing it everywhere, and while trendy, it isn’t flattering for a lot of people. Don’t get me started on beige pants, which can make the wearer look 1/2 naked.

I totally agree about needing an accent color or getting a tone that contrasts and enhances your skin tones.

With Mandy’s dress, I think the high neckline works well for the kneeling and bending over that the Walk of Fame ceremony requires, but I think a v-neck would have been more flattering.

  3. Risa J Marks says:

Love the shape of the dress. I think it would have been gorgeous in just about any other color.

Blac Chyna makes more money than Rob Kardashian, a USC grad. Go figure ha !

“Apple Martin knows her mother is insufferable”
    I hope she tells her…..

    • Mel M says:

I said the exact same thing to my own mother. She used to constantly post pics of me and my kids on her FB without asking and it really bothered me since I don’t even post pics on FB. She has since stopped but she was totally offended by it and acted like a child throwing a fit.

  6. jammypants says:

I was hoping to see the massive marvel social media campaign in the links. It’s genius!

  7. Miss M says:

Happy to see Shane West at her ceremony.

  8. xdanix says:

I don’t adore Mandy’s look, but I DO adore that her friendship with Shane West has lasted all these years (and their friendship with the director of the movie, too.) They’re so sweet together and still seem to (platonically) adore each other, and seeing that love and appreciation for each other’s friendship and the movie and the opportunities it gave them still going strong, seventeen years later, is so lovely.

  9. JadedBrit says:

She looks sweet and wholesome. I’m the opposite of a pearl clutcher (as I hope other commentators on the site have ascertained if/when they’ve come across my missives/occasional rants) but it seems rather lovely to see a beautiful young woman dressed in something that doesn’t have half her backside hanging out. Moore makes more look good.

  10. Dani says:

THE ENDING WE ALL WISHED FOR. Aside from that, I love Mandy so much and have loved her since I was younger. She is so beautiful and elegant and talented. Many of my hair styles were based off of hers.

  11. ravynrobyn says:

Steve Carell back on tv?!? Playing an aging, soon-to-be-irrelevant Matt Lauer type?!?!?! Portraying a smarmy, ridiculous, pompous, sarcastic yet maybe vulnerable human?!?!?!?!?!

Oh god, I’m so there 🤪

    • Mia4s says:

Honestly what I’ve seen of that Apple streaming service presentation was slightly hilarious. Here’s really famous people! Big actors! Clap now! They looked sooooo bored. Not saying some of the content doesn’t look good, but the presentation was a bit of an eye roll.

My how things have changed. 15-20 years ago, TV was “lesser than” movies. The 1980s and 90s were all about actors leaving shows to be movie stars (to wildly varying success).

      Now?

Are you anyone these days if you don’t have a streaming series? I mean…if Disney, or Apple, or Netflix haven’t given you a limited series do you even matter? Can you even get a meeting if you’re not in production with a streaming service? It’s BONKERS how much things have shifted.

Oh hai Mr. Spielberg, so you’re taking some of that sweet Apple streaming money, but they’ve promised never to compete for Oscars right?….right? 😏

  12. Lina says:

Does eveyone get a star nowadays?!

    • Emilia says:

As long as you have the money to pay for it (or the backing of a studio/network), yes, pretty much anyone can get a star.

    • Mia4s says:

@Emilia has it exactly right. It’s not an award, it’s literally a paid promotion.

This article explains (very often a studio pays the fee which is why the ceremonies tend to happen close to a film premiere or in conjunction with a TV show or album promotion):

  13. Bella Bella says:

Just saw a news flash that Conor McGregor is being investigated for sexual assault. May explain the sudden retirement.

    • me says:

I don’t know if the sexual assault is true or not but that man is a real piece of sh*t who never gets punished. He has a huge anger management issue, that is well documented. We’ll see how this sexual assault thing pans out.

    • Gobo says:

The story going around in Ireland (not in the papers) is that he was involved in a pretty brutal rape. It’s not on our media (yet) because it could impact the case in court. We’re a small country with a small population, word gets around anyway.

      • Cait says:

Yeah it’s pretty much taken for granted that he did it. He’s such a piece of sh*t.

  14. Case says:

Mandy Moore has such gorgeous, glowing skin. She’s aging so well. I love that Shane presented this to her, so cute.

  15. Twolinesohmy says:

Omg! Jack Pearson is standing behind mandy in the first pic😍😍😍😍😍😀

  16. Lex says:

I saw Elle Fanning’s latest film Galveston and was outraged by the blatant use of her character as a plot device for a man’s redemption/journey.

Ive seen people complain about that before but this was the first time I really noticed and boy did it smack me hard in the face. Would not recommend, even though Elle was great in the role.

  17. whybother says:

That color looks better on someone with a deeper skin tone. Since she is fair, that washes her out. I have a top in that tone but since I have tan skin tone, it doesn’t look like an undershirt
    lol

  18. whybother says:

that racist POS conor mcgregor is retiring? good.

  19. Antonym says:

“You were at my wedding, Denise…” has me rolling 😂

  20. sommolierlady says:

She has really aged into her beauty but that dress is hideous.

  21. nocleverhandle says:

Mandy Moore’s face looks different. New haircut? I didn’t recognize her in the header until I scrolled down.

  22. Mar says:

    She’s absolutely gorgeous
