    Vitamin D please, Tom.

  2. ds says:

he looks like the most boring bf in the world. when he says he’ll be gone for a couple of weeks you’re like please don’t come back. if you ain’t surprising in me in bed and waking me up don’t bother making breakfast,ok?

“Tom Hiddleston made a commercial for Centrum vitamins….”

Well……OK then. That’s weird. I mean I’ve seen movie actors in commercials for cologne, alcohol, credit cards, Nespresso, and magnum ice cream. I think think Catherine Zeta Jones did cell phones. Get that cash of course. But drug store vitamins seems just a tad…low rent? Kind of random too. Eh, get paid I guess. 🤷‍♀️

  4. Karine says:

He totally looks at his mark on the floor after saying “I finished early”. Such bad acting. It looks like a rehearsal…seems like they shot this in a day. He seems embarassed to be in the commercial the whole time. It’s the worst.

    • maxine ducamp says:

They probably shot it in less than a day. I remember a group shot from someone on twitter stating that they’d just done a commercial with Tom Hiddleston and it wasn’t all that long ago, definitely after he stared on Betrayal which runs every night but Sunday, plus two matinee performances a week. I think he’s a great actor. His Coriolanus was a revelation (I’d seen it performed by Ralph Fiennes 20+ years ago on stage–not the modern set movie that he made–and was left cold and I like Ralph Fiennes as an actor. Tom brings a certain vulnerability to all of his parts that make them more human). To each their own, but he gets dragged on here for the stupidest reasons. Ditto for finding the one mediocre/bad review for his performance in Betrayal, when literally every other review has been 4 and 5 stars and praised his performance.

Celebrities, even those at their peak, have been making commercials in the Asian market for eons. It used to be easier to it on the DL in the western press but that ship has sailed. I don’t think he’s got an expensive habit, but–and this is reaching and purely speculative–I wonder if he’s just trying to bank as much $ as he can to appease his father who reportedly did not approve of his career choice, at least when he first started.

      • Lightpurple says:

They shot it in over a few hours last week on his day off from Betrayal and it’s to air in China. He does seem to have a sizable following in China so Centrum is probably just trying to capitalize on that target audience.

I agree with your other points. He seems to get dragged for the strangest things. That article on the one bad Betrayal review was posted on the same day the theater announced that the sold out run was being extended. Meanwhile, others do absolutely horrible things but still get strong support from many here. It’s puzzling.

      • Karine says:

For the record, I don’t hate him. I do think he’s a good actor. But this commercial is bad. It’s not on him, it’s on the team that put this together. Why keep a take where he looks down at his mark? It seems like a very rush commercial and it’s cringe worthy.

  5. Andrea says:

Is this for multi vitamins? Didn’t studies come out and say if you are deficient in something, than take a specific one, like a probiotic or vitamin D, but multi vitamins don’t help most people?

    • Anatha. A says:

Yes. In fact they were found out to be detrimental to health and lead to kidney stones and digestion problems.

    • Nanea says:

What’s worse, his father is a physical chemist PhD and could have told him to stay away from selling snake oil.

This cringe ad and all those Disney $$$ for the upcoming Loki series, plus all the handsome fees for fleecing fans by doing those ACE con appearances make me wonder if he has an expensive habit. Hookers, blow… or a huge house mortgage to pay off…

      • Andrea says:

Maybe simply lifestyle. He was used to a certain lifestyle and he needs the cash to maintain it?

      • Lana234 says:

Wow Nanea really girl a lot ppl take multi vitamins everyday. The guy is not a snake oil salesman. Hahaha

      • Karen2 says:

…the multivitamin industry is absolutely snake oil country…on pricing alone..

    • Lightpurple says:

It’s something to discuss with your doctor as it relates to your own health. My primary care, my oncologist, my radiation oncologist, and my liver specialist all recommended that I take a multivitamin. And they recommended that one.

My mom’s doctors and my 90 year old great aunt’s doctors recommended it too to counter side effects of medications they take. But my mom’s doctor told my sister she didn’t need one based on her blood work.

It’s a balancing act and it can depend on whether you are taking other medications or supplements.

      • Tigerlily says:

I totally agree, it’s an individual thing plus depending on your health issues it can be an absolute necessity. I have rheumatoid arthritis which I take plaquinil & methotrexate for. Methotrexate sucks all the folic acid (Vitamin B9) out of me so I take supplementary folic acid daily which alleviates some of the worst side effects. I don’t think anyone should be making a blanket statement that all multivitamins are bad or snake oil FFS.

My poor HIddles getting picked on again…..geez

    • Rita says:

My oncologist routinely recommends one after surgery.

Adding to the Betsy DeVos is the worst, she is also defending cutting all federal funding for the special olympics and giving more to charter schools. Some people will argue what the SO have to do with education but special needs students have different educational goals then mainstream. For some the SO is one of the biggest things they will do in their lives. I know a few people that participate and let me tell you, it makes them happy beyond belief. Everything that goes into it for them is educational in my opinion. They will never have the same opportunities in life as a typical person so why are we trying to take away what is essentially a drop in the bucket in this massive budget proposal. Being a special needs parent I can tell you we do not get nearly the financial help as many people seem to think we do so it’s not like the govt is already throwing us gobs cash. Every piece of equipment or toy that we have to purchase that’s labeled specials needs is quadruple the price and insurance very rarely pays for it any. Fight tooth and nail to get billions for a freakin wall but let’s cut from the most vulnerable oh and let’s move that on over to charter schools while we’re at it. Yeah the ones that we’ve wasted billions on that never open or go under.

    • Jerusha says:

Meanwhile, the execrable Betsy DeVos has a $40 million yacht. Several yachts, IIRC. She really stands out in an administration filled with one POS after another.

      • Jan90067 says:

All Dump had to do is cancel FIVE golfing weekends, and there is the SO budget. FIVE. But the selfish SOB would NEVER do that.

    • Katy says:

I am so infuriated at her f*@&ing budget proposal!! She thinks we should put all of the money in charter & private schools and dump on the public schools, the minority populations, and the disabled. As it is right now the government only gives $18mil a year for the Special Olympics. That is not even a drop in the bucket – all while proposing to give billions to charter schools & take billions away from public schools. Who thought this silver spooned idiot was a good idea for education secretary?………….oh yea – the a-hole moron in the White House

      • Lightpurple says:

While Special Olympics are getting most of the attention, they also are gutting funding for teaching kids with autism. Also, DeVoes has a Cabinet position. She had full approval from her boss Trump for this. And Nagini reviews all DeVoes does. She’s fully in favor of this horror show of cruelty

    • iconoclast59 says:

Today’s Chicago Tribune has a nice article about a family with a Special Olympian. Doctors at first thought the guy would never be able to talk or walk unassisted, but now he’s posting the fastest times in SO foot races and giving speeches about the SO. While it may not be a traditional classroom, the Special Olympics do give participants the opportunity to learn about important things like teamwork, perseverance, etc. Here’s the link; try opening it in a private window to get around the Tribune’s paywall: https://www.chicagotribune.com/lifestyles/stevens/ct-life-stevens-special-olympics-cuts-brent-kampert-0327-story.html

  7. Lightpurple says:

The commercial is for China and yes, it was filmed in less than a day. Western actors make huge amounts of money doing commercials in the Asian markets.

    • Skylark says:

I think it’s actually quite sweet! And probably perfectly pitched for the market concerned.

And yes, so many actors do these for the cash, and why not, as long as they’re not shilling/endorsing some dodgy snake oil product.

    • Jerusha says:

I watched it and thought it was done totally tongue in cheek and kinda cute. Certainly better than those godawful Nespresso ads.

    • Tigerlily says:

It makes me think of Bill Murray in Lost in Translation making the Japanese commercial for whisky. I don’t think this commercial is that bad and agree it is somewhat tongue in cheek

  8. Vanessa says:

All I could think during that commercial is, “What did this guy do that he’s making up for?’ That’s the vibe I’m getting.

  9. Lila says:

Ha! Oh that’s a terrible commercial. But who cares. Hiddles is some delicious eye candy. He’s welcome to wake me up with that breakfast anytime.

  10. Bella Bella says:

LOL about the bathtub trays. I would never eat in a bathtub. (Particularly salad!) Or bring electronics anywhere near a bathtub. I can’t even read a book in a bathtub because they inevitably get wet. I am living in an alternate universe of incompetent bathtub behavior. LOLOLOL

  11. jammypants says:

Someone give the lady who took those bathtub screenshots an award. A+ commentary 😂

  12. no no says:

I love Asian commercials. They are always so over the top and cringy in a cute way. Hiddle sis cute. Also he can make me a breakfast every morning. 🙂

  13. Sam says:

She’ll need a multi-vitamin after that dopey breakfast. Bring home the bacon, Tom!

Why is he so sweaty? Is chopping veg that much of a workout?

After eating a breakfast full of vegetables, he’s wise to leave soon after. Coffee + heaping breakfast of cabbage and peppers = 🥴💨
