ITA about the headband. Stunning dress tho

  2. livealot says:

I’m into it. She’s young enough to pull it off.

  3. Callid says:

At a quick glance I thought it was Kelly Osbourne

  4. ChiaMom says:

The most diplomatic headline ever somekne give this writer a peace prize STAT

  5. ThatBlackGirl says:

Why is she already doing plastic surgery.

    • Lilly (with the double-L) says:

      Oh yeah… wow.

      • Original T.C. says:

What???? LOL! That’s normal skin for her age. She’s always had lovely pore free skin . I see girls in real life with that skin all the time. We are so used to older older Hollywood women getting plastic surgery to look young again that we forget that it’s *normal* in the young girls.

I don’t think it’s the headband per say, it’s the headband causing her over bleached hair to be closer to her skin color. Mahogany hair would display her beauty so much better. It’s a Fanning sister thing to over-bleach their hair.

      • Lilly (with the double-L) says:

I apologize to those who feel offended by my agreeing, but her nose looks very different to me. I never said anything about her skin, which seems to have always been amazing. Nor, am I saying I’m against adults making their own choices, but just one person’s opinion is there’s a change and I’m surprised.

    • fifee says:

I dont see it tbh. Her hair pulled back off her face makes her look different to me as she usually has it in a middle parting around her face.

      • Erinn says:

And I mean… she’s 20. She’s got good skin, but I think it’s youth and makeup making her look different, combined with the hair like you said. But I also sometimes combine her and her sister as one person in my head and I think that throws me off.

    • runcmc says:

She doesn’t look like she’s had plastic surgery. She looks like she’s grown into an adult.

    • Heather says:

I don’t think she’s had plastic surgery. She has her hair pulled back, a bored blank expression in the top pic and her make up makes her look waxy.

    • Carol says:

Elle, in the above pic, reminds me of Nicole Kidman right after she divorced Tom Cruise and went crazy with the fillers and botox

      • minx says:

She does resemble NK there. The dress is fine, I don’t care for the hair or headband, it’s not flattering to the shape of her face.

    • amilou says:

I can’t tell that she has had any plastic surgery. I think it’s the overload of highlighter that’s kind of throwing her appearance off for me.

    • 90sgirl says:

She’s beautiful, she’s always been beautiful, she’s young, good skin.

      Jelly much,

    • Diplomanatee says:

      Sadly, I see it :/
Her nostrils look a it more narrow and her nose a lot less wide…

    Very Valley of the Dolls.

  7. Lilly (with the double-L) says:

    YES! To the house!

  8. Erinn says:

I think the craziest part of the Project Runway failing to be able to dress plus-sized women thing is that over the years – there’s been a good deal of these designers who have been plus sized themselves. You would think they would want to make themselves clothes, or to be more inclusive of sizes when they’ve been left out of styles.

Elle is very cute – but it’s not the right headband. I think there’s some sort of headband out there that could have worked – but it’d have needed to be quite a bit different. More subtle, but with some glitter maybe? And not the hot pink.

    • Mabs A'Mabbin says:

If the headband was made to mirror the shoulder straps….. Buy a second dress and use the straps lol.

    • Anne Call says:

The designer last week just made a bad look. There have been some really good plus size fashions in the last season and I really like they are using models that are not stick thin. Still not sure about this new PR. There’s still too many designers to figure out who is who and Karlie seems like she’s trying really hard to be the perkiest, nicest gal ever which hopefully she is in real life. I love Christian but really miss Tim.

  9. JustSayin' says:

She’s too tall to pull off this cutesy look. It looks silly on her.

  10. lucy2 says:

I like the dress, but the headband makes her look like a child, not a 20 year old adult.

  11. Yawn says:

    No, it did not.

  12. ItsTheVibe says:

Forget the headband. What is most disappointing is he relationship with Max Minghella. She’s 20 and he’s 33, but more than that, he was her boss on this film.

It is interesting that in an interview about The Handmaid’s Tale he said he was disturbed by the storyline that his character was forced to marry and bed a 15 year old. He said it was still confronting for him as a man in his thirties, even though he knew the actress wasn’t actually 15 but 20 at the time. He said it was still weird.

And now he finds himself here with his 20 year old employee.

It’s real easy you know… when you meet someone you think is attractive and nice… but you’re way older and lived life, and they’re still staring out… and you’re in a real or perceived position of power over them… you be an adult and walk away. You just don’t engage sexually or romantically. It’s that simple. There a billions of people on earth. Find a more appropriate match.

It’s not that one is very mature, it’s that the other is very selfish and immature 🙁 it’s the entitlement.

    • Ain’tNoTelling says:

Actually, it is the headband. The thing looks awful and once her hair is away from her face, Elle loses her already so so looks by 90% or more. She’s done something to her face recently or is partying hard and has the facial bloat of a 40 year old.

She’s 20. And while I agree with you that Max should and does know better, there’s nothing anyone can do or say.

Elle’s going to have to experience this for herself. He is either going to dump her for a younger woman, or a woman that he has more in common with, or she will dump him. That’s the way the ball bounces in these situations, and you know it as do I.

It sucks. But sometimes, getting burned is the only way to get experience and learn to not make the same mistakes again.

      • ZGB says:

Love your take on the relationship @Ain’t NoTelling 100000!!

Also, if she was gonna use a headband, it should’ve at least been gold, matching the shoulder straps
