Ariel Winter loves mint chocolate chip ice cream because it is the best

We haven’t heard much from Ariel Winter lately. Since we mainly hear from her when she’s clapping back at people on social media, I hope this is because she’s at peace with herself lately. Ariel, who is now sporting red hair, is the spokesperson for Ulta Beauty’s new signature hair blowouts so of course, E! thought her promotional interview for it was the best time to ask about her workout routine. Although, to Ariel’s credit, while answering the exercise question, she slipped in how she likes a good Ulta blowout after her workout. Ariel admits she’s not an enthusiastic gym goer, but does it because it’s good for her physical and mental health. When it comes to diet, Ariel lives by moderation because she doesn’t like diets that tell her no:

I don’t believe in diets, for myself, at least. I can’t stick to them. It just doesn’t work for me. I believe, you know, you eat everything that you want in moderation, if you can, if you’re not allergic. Anything you can – in moderation. I think it’s best, that way you’re not like, really wanting something you can’t have and like, you absolutely tell yourself you can’t have it when, you know, you probably could, just in moderation. I’m having to make my mint chocolate chip, move that in moderation. Because mint chocolate chip ice cream is my new thing. Just everything in moderation. If I can’t have something, if I’m told I can’t have it, I want it. Like, I can’t be without it. Like I can’t be without it.

[From E! News]

Ariel expounded on her current mint chocolate chip ice cream obsession and it’s because she’s only just tried it for the first time recently. My personal MCCIC obsession reaches so far back, I’m not sure it didn’t begin in the womb. Just writing about it makes me jones for an It’s It. I, too, do not like being told no, especially by a diet. But I am terrible at moderation of anything. If I open a bag of snacks, I am generally finishing that bag before I put it down. So there are foods I simply don’t start, like chips, because I can’t grab just a handful. For some reason, if it’s me telling myself no, it works better. But I’ve been stress eating for three months now and I have to do something, and I’m pretty sure what I need to do does not involve an It’s It, and certainly not three in one sitting *she says, discreetly tossing wrappers in the trash* Ariel looks great and she’s found a plan that works for her. That’s what it’s all about, finding something that works and that you can stick with.

As we know, Modern Family will finally end next season. Ariel said she’ll be sad to say goodbye but is looking forward to playing new roles, which I can see, she’s been Alex Dunphy for half her life. She did, in fact, leave UCLA after a semester. Ariel said she simply overestimated what her schedule would allow and missed about half her classes due to work. I thought it was really cool she’d decided to go to school but yeah, if you can’t put in the work or show up to classes, the respectful thing is to wait until you can. Ariel and boyfriend Levi Meadon are still going strong after almost three years of dating. I don’t think any of us thought he was a keeper, but she’s absolutely smitten with him. If everything she says about him is true, then I wish them the best.

Our local ice cream stand has a “mint and cookies” flavor. It’s mint ice cream with Oreo cookies in it… it blows mint chocolate chip away!

    • SamC says:

We have that too and it’s the best, though peanut butter/Oreo ice cream is a close second.

  2. Becks1 says:

Mint chocolate chip ice cream is the best ice cream.

    Tis known.

I have a friend who is mad about mint slice biscuits. I just can’t get it. I will eat just about any chocolate, even dark if I have to and maybe even white if there is nothing else left, but mint choc makes no sense. Like brushing your teeth and taking a bite of chocolate. No no no.

I do not understand the love for mint choc chip. Its usually made with dark chips, which I hate and the mint is often too strong.

Best ice cream I ever had was in New Zealand: boysenberry, SO YUMMY.

  5. SJR says:

She should be financially set for life after all the MFamily years.
My suggestion, no on MCCIC….what you want is cheesecake ice cream. Yup, yup. 🙂

It is the best. That and watermelon sherbet – the kind from Friendly’s – which we don’t have in Canada! 😖

    • SNAP says:

I’d love to try watermelon sherbet…if it tastes as good as it sounds, YUM! 🍨🍦🍧

      • Redgrl says:

Yep, it’s awesome. They used to also have this watermelon slice sherbet which was shaped like a slice of watermelon & had lime sherbet for the rind, lemon for the inner rind, watermelon sherbet inside and chocolate chips for the seeds. It was the most amazing thing. Haven’t been to a Friendly’s in years – so don’t know if they still have those flavours on the menu…I’ve tried other brands but it’s never tasted as good as that…

Ariel is such a beautiful girl!
My hubby is nuts for mint chocolate chip ice cream. It’s not my favorite, but i find it edible. My current crush is raspberry with dark chocolate chips from Kroger. DANG IS IT GOOD!!! i used to think their cherry cordial flavor was the best ever but this berry flavor is rich, decadent, silky and i can’t leave it alone!

Mint chocolate chip was my go-to as a kid, I remember being blown away the first time I had it. Trader Joe’s makes a really good one, with nice dark chocolate chips. Yum. I think the best ice cream I had as an adult was a local one from a San Juan island in Washington State, coffee with dark chocolate chips.

Ariel looks a bit like Rachel Bilson now to me. Wishing her continued happiness and success after MF.

  9. Shazze says:

That auburn color is gorgeous on her!

    • Otaku fairy... says:

Yeah, I’m starting to like the red hair on her. Her natural hair color is actually blond, which was harder to imagine before because she’s had her hair dark for so long.

I had to look up It’s It; I’m from the PNW, so I’m not familiar with it. I am the kind of person who will try all the regional sweets & ice creams, though, so I’ll look for it when I travel.
As for Ariel, now would be the time to return to school.

If you are near a Harris Teeter, you MUST try their coconut chocolate almond ice cream; you’d never know those are the ingredients, but EVERYONE I know who’s tried it has loved it. We call it crack ice cream, it’s so addictive. It’s in their All Natural brand. Gosh, I think I need some right this moment….

    • nikki says:

Ha, ha Celebitchy: instead of another post about best cosmetics, etc., one day you could ask people’s best loved foods!! 🙂

As a ginger, I have to say Ariel is rocking that red!! She is absolutely stunning.
