Donald Trump made up yet another new word on Twitter: ‘shellaced’

President Donald J. Trump participates in a roundtable discussion on School Safety

Two weekends ago, there were back-to-back mass shootings in El Paso and Dayton. The El Paso murderer was literally incited by Donald Trump. Trump didn’t bring the country together, nor did he show any human emotion like grief during that time. Instead, he chose to tweet more hate directed at Democrats and double-down on racism, white supremacy and fascism. And… everybody moved on in about a week. The topic of conversation this past weekend was a lot about the Trump Recession and how Trump has zero clue about what he’s doing to the American economy. A lot of outlets covered the whole “Trump wants to buy Greenland” story too. And of course, people covered Anthony “The Mooch” Scaramucci’s very public break from Trump.

The Mooch had been critical of Trump before, but nowadays, the Mooch thinks Trump is basically the worst person in the world. I don’t really care about any of these rats fleeing from a sinking ship – I never cared about any of them. But Trump cares very deeply, which is why he made up a special new word for The Mooch:

'Game of Thrones' season 8 premiere

Why “nut job” in quotes? I don’t think Trump knows how to use quotes, or rather Ivanka-tweeting-as-her-father doesn’t know how to use quotes. She also doesn’t know how to spell shellacked, because I think that’s what “shellaced” was supposed to be. It honestly took me like five full minutes to figure out that it was supposed to be shellacked. Shell-aced. Shell-A-Ced. Shel-laced. How are you pronouncing it? It’s the new covfefe.

Trump didn’t write those tweets. The sentence structure and lack of random capitalization gives it away. I have longed believed that Nagini uses Daddy’s Twitter to air her anger without polluting her brand. The Mooch was her hire so she has to feel really betrayed by this.

ETA and she’s a blithering idiot so “shellaced” would not be a surprise coming from her.

I am already volunteering to make sure Trump and his ilk are shellacked in 2020.

      • Meghan says:

I am so scared about 2020. Especially how he said at one of his dumb rallies “you HAVE to vote for me. You HAVE TO or you will lose all your money.”

      • B n A fn says:

The man wants to be a dictator and a ruler. People like him talk a good game, with empty promise, don’t let him scare you. He’s full of you knows what…. fill in the space.

    • Arpeggi says:

I tend to think Stephen Miller also takes over his boss’ account more than once in a while. It could be either one really

  2. Megan says:

LOL Trump can’t even spell his insults correctly.

You know what is so upsetting is the media. So right after the El Paso shooting, followed by Dayton, I swear to god I watched reporter after reporter on MSNBC (!) actually reporting that trump was seriously looking into background checks and the feeling was he’d have to do something this time.

OMG, he had the exact same thing floated last time! He did! And he backed away immediately, and of course he was going to do it again. So, I ask you, do they really fall for this (in which case they should be fired for being staggeringly stupid) or are they liars playing their roles in Kabuki theater (in which case they should be fired for dishonesty)? I feel like screaming, and I have had to stop watching any of the news. It is the only way to keep my sanity, because they are all gaslighting us including the “liberal” media. All of them!

    • Darla says:

And don’t even get me started on their recent elevation of The Mooch! No really don’t get me started because I could stroke out and I’m alone right now I might not be found for days! Until someone in my family needs money and comes looking for me, so probably by tomorrow, but still…

    • Kitten says:

They will never stop reporting on him like he’s a good faith actor. They refuse to view him through the same skeptical, cynical lens as the rest of us.
My BF and I have been watching a lot of documentaries and we watched one about war and man, the media was so different back then in how they reported things. They didn’t mince words. We are living in scary times and MSM is not going to save us.

      • Megan says:

No one is coming to save us. We have to save ourselves.

      • Darla says:

Absolutely Kitten. I just wish it didn’t seem like they were working with him. Sometimes I really believe that the one thing that lunatic is right about is that the media wants him reelected because they make money off him.

      • Alarmjaguar says:

My brother-in-law works for a major media outlet and it is so depressing to talk to him about how higher-ups make decisions about what to cover.

One thing I can say about Trump is that he is an expert at distracting people. The media is making the same mistake they did three years ago by giving DT endless amount of coverage. He thrives off of negativity and has no shame. You won’t embarrass him. It’s time to find another strategy for dealing with the Trumps.

    • JanetDR says:

The proper technique is “planned ignore”. It’s used for reducing unwanted behavior that is used for attention. The behavior falls off then escalates in a burst and then just goes away. We have to convince everyone though, so probably not happening.

  5. Sharon k says:

I literally get sick of the thought of him winning in 2020. We are all to blame!! Where is the outrage, protests and marches?
The democrats have to improve their game to beat him. Keep talking about his scandals and inappropriate business dealings.
How he has any supporters is beyond me.
This guy is a fraud, crook and disgraceful.

    • Mignionette says:

The Dem’s are out of their depth and don’t know how to play this game for shit.

Thus far Beto is the only one who is showing signs of utter disbelief. That is the response that needs to gather momentum and => demonstrations, marches and daily literal witch-hunts of this totally abhorrent human being.

There needs to be a push back against the craziness of this bullshit nationalistic movement condemning the crap that comes out of his mouth.

No one is immune from this lunatics attacks and none of us will be free until we’re all free as the saying goes.

    • M. says:

The problem is that people know about his scandals and many of them don’t care. Millions of people overlooked Trump’s antics and failures and decided to vote for him. Democrats can’t do anything about the conservatives who worship Trump. They need to focus on voter registration and support in swing states so they can win the electoral college.

      • Darla says:

Mignionette, I am looking HARD at Beto right now and had all but dismissed him until recently. I made my first donation to him about a week ago. I am loving what he is doing, this is what I want. And though Kamala was my number one, that’s back in flux. Also, I have long thought a Kamala/Beto ticket was the winning one, and now I am starting to think Beto/Kamala. But whatever, Beto rising fast on my list.

I’m not a socialist, though I want a VERY strong social safety net. Racial justice, liberal immigration, civil rights, including the civil rights of women and LTBTQ, and guns are the biggest items on my list. That whole bagging on wall street and the banks things doesn’t do anything for me. Beto is speaking my language.

    • K-Peace says:

“Where is the outrage, protests, and marches?”—This is exactly what i’ve been wondering.

      • Tiffany :) says:

I marched with 750,000 people in Los Angeles, so marches have absolutely happened. But marches without goals or strategy don’t have much of an effect.

When we are closer to determining the Dem nominee, and when get out the vote efforts start in full, I think mass events will have more impact.

    • Angela82 says:

Americans are complacent AF and never want to speak ill of their country. I hate it.

      • Tiffany :) says:

Americans CONSTANTLY talk about what is wrong with their country. They just have different ideas on what to fix and how.

  6. Phonycat says:

Wasnt Trump a Wharton graduate? His alma mater must be so proud🤦‍♀️

  7. Angela82 says:

    Shellaced (Urban dictionary)

“A drunken state of being induced either by playing excessive amounts of beer pong, bullshit pyrimid, or by consuming a very high proof liquor using a “chug mug.”
Shellaced is not only a state of being, but also a state of mind, in which one becomes completely obsessed with making it to the frats, the rugby house, or any other nightly house party in which there will be inevitably more drinking.
Origin: Our 7 foot long beer pong table had to be sealed with shellac to protect its superior paint-job. the word just stuck thereafter.”

I mean he did pick Kavanaugh for the SCOTUS…
