O.J. Simpson’s ex-girlfriend is afraid of him getting released from prison

fp_573748_roc_oj_6_0828061

Although she spent 13 years with O.J. Simpson, his now ex-girlfriend Christie Prody admits she’s afraid of the former NFL player/current convict. She’s hired lawyer Gloria Allred to represent her, which must mean she wants a little attention, too. Simpson is appealing his conviction on the legal equivalent of “I don’t like being behind bars and should get to do whatever I want without ever having a single consequence.” I’m not up to putting that in legalese. His lawyers are also claiming he should be let out of prison while he’s appealing his case. Naturally, so that he can chill at home, maybe eat a nice steak and watch some T.V. O.J. Simpson should never have to sit in a concrete cell because he kidnapped a guy, robbing and threatening him. Allred claims Prody is afraid that if Simpson’s let out, he’ll contact and/or harm her. This after thirteen years of her denying he killed his wife. NOW she gets that he’s someone to be afraid of.

One person who is hoping O.J. Simpson is not released from prison is the former gridiron star’s now ex-girlfriend Christie Prody, RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively.

Simpson was convicted last December on robbery, kidnapping and weapons charges and sentenced to nine-to-33 years in prison. His attorneys on Monday argued before the Nevada Supreme Court that he should be released pending his appeal.

“Christie would not want to see him released because she is concerned that he might try to see her,” Prody’s attorney Gloria Allred told RadarOnline.com exclusively. “She is concerned that he is dangerous and she fears for her safety.”

Prody was a fresh-faced 20-year-old Nicole Brown-lookalike when she met Simpson. Back then she told her family and friends she didn’t believe he’d murdered his ex-wife and her friend Ron Goldman. Over their 13 years together, however, their relationship became increasingly violent, with numerous calls to 911 and allegations of drug and alcohol abuse.

A decision on Simpson’s request for bail could come at any time.

I tend to go back and forth in my ability to have empathy for Christie. I mean she dated O.J. Simpson for 13 years. That’s a lot of time to make a better decision. And obviously it makes sense for to be as afraid of a rage-filled killer when he’s your ex-boyfriend as when he’s your boyfriend. It just seems to me like she should have been afraid all along.

In related – and tacky – news, the story of the botched heist that landed Simpson in prison is being made into a movie, according to the Enquirer.

Coming to a theater near you – O.J. The Movie! The knuckleheads behind the botched Las Vegas robbery that ended up landing O.J. Simpson behind bars for up to 33 years are now going to be immortalized in a Hollywood movie.

A script for the film version of the book “Busted!” – ex-con Thomas Riccio’s account of the bungled 2007 Sin City heist – has been making the rounds at top Tinsletown agencies and studios, where it’s caught the eye of filmmakers Nick Cassavetes and Martin Scorsese, among others.

The Enquirer has obtained a copy – which casts the main players in a startling light. The story is Riccio’s take on what happened when the former Heisman Trophy winner and his henchmen stuck up memorabilia collectors Alfred Beardsley and Bruce Fromong in their Las Vegas hotel room to get back O.J.’s items.

As crazy as it seems, the screwed-up “gang that couldn’t shoot straight” is going to be portrayed in the movie as a bunch of heroes.

[From the National Enquirer, August 10, 2009, print ed.]

Well that just makes me physically ill. Simpson won’t profit off it, but Riccio sure will. In fact he’s already made a good deal of money from that ill-fated night – the Enquirer also says that he’s earned at least $200,000 from a secret audiotape of the crime, and received a $350,000 advance on the book. He’s also portrayed as a “noble righter of wrongs,” instead of a true criminal, even though he’s got a lengthy rap sheet. This’ll probably make Simpson pretty infuriated too. Maybe more reason to keep him behind bars… just in case.

Time to consider the witness-protection program….

  4. Nicole says:

I’d be scared to death if I were her!

  5. Diane says:

Riccio has a script to sell, Cassavetes and Scorsese are interested? And they’re heroes = )

If it isn’t a Three Stooges style comedy I’m not interested.

I’m surprised the ex-g/f doesn’t have a book to sell. What is wrong with Gloria, usually she is advancing her clients in the media?

  6. j. ferber says:

Why in the frigging world would anyone want that murderer free (except, of course, himself)? I mean, there’s preferential treatment, that all celebs/rich people get, and then there’s nullification of all the laws/morality we live by. I say freeing that narcissistic psychopath would be the second. Why go to the trouble and expense of trials for him and his repeated crimes when his lawyers (and the judicial system) get him off no matter what heinous acts he commits? Why not just give him a “Get Out of Jail Free” placard to wear on his chest for the rest of his life? That way, he gets to do whatever the f— he wants without the pesky consequences that have never applied to him anyway? Or how about getting it passed through the legislature that “OJ Simpson is a law unto himself and is exempt from any and all laws of the United States of America” since that is the de facto truth anyway? I so hate that bastard.

  7. TaylorB says:

I still can not wrap my brain around WHY in hell she dated him in the first place. If I knew a man had battered his ex, and possibly murdered her as well, that would certainly give me pause before I accepted a dinner invitation. There are red flags, then there are red flags that are red because they were used them to wipe up blood from the back of a white Bronco, best to pay attention to them especially the second kind.

  8. BlueSkies says:

She’d better watch out! O.J. Simpson is a more sociopathic but sloppier Showtime character “Dexter”.

  9. j. ferber says:

Secondly, my advice to the woman, whom I will not pass judgment on, is to hire some really, really good bodyguards as well as the lawyer. They might just save her life.

  10. Firestarter says:

I have NO sympathy for any woman who would date this man KNOWING what he did to his first wife. The fact that she is scared now, well where was this fear over the period of 13yrs? Obviously, this is a means by which to get money and attention, since her sleazy sugar daddy got put behind bars. Any woman that would have dated this man is as low as they come and she dated him for the money that should have gone to the families of those killed by his hands.

She disgusts me for being with him almost as much as he disgusts me for the murdering, lying, bullying , woman abusing thief that he is.

  11. mel says:

If he were to be released and that’s a big IF, he would end up going to jail again because he’s such a dumb ass, he didnt learn his lesson the first time.

  12. Skins says:

That is what you get when you date double murderers. Be afraid, be very afraid

  13. fantasia says:

if i could transform into a killer .it would want to be leather face(the killer from Texas chainsaw massacre)and have OJ in the same room with me!!!!!! GOD i would slooooowlyyyyyyyyyy cut him into pieces and throw his remaining in the trash coz that is where it belongs!!!!!!!

  14. rop says:

“She is concerned that he is dangerous and she fears for her safety.”

    I’m speechless.

  15. Judy says:

Oh please, that tramp needs t keep her face out olf the news. She is no more afraid of him than I am. She was with him for the money and he was with ehr for the sex and she no more looks like Nichole then OJ does. I doubt if he wants anything to do with her. He lived in Fl and she went to some dinky ass town in Iowa or somewhere and I doubt if he thinks she iks worth stalking. It is all about HIM and she doesnt count.

  16. danielle says:

Alot of people don’t think he did it. Obviously after 13 years she knows he’s violent…and knowing that didn’t help Nicole, why would it help Christie? Yeah, if he gets out she needs to hire bodyguards.

  17. gg says:

Christie, hon, this is how you pay for your sucking up of the infamous OJ’s money, boob job and other perquisites. The living in fear after you realize that was dumb, I mean. Which is gonna be anytime he’s up for parole or any other smokescreen his expensive lawyers can cook up. Tough luck toots.

  18. DD says:

Whatever. She dated him for fame not because she believed he didn’t do it, and now that it’s all said and done she chooses to be afraid.

  19. orion70 says:

errr, for those who are calling bullshit, yeah she got involved in this with full knowledge of his history, but I don’t suppose there might be a little of the typical domestic abuse dynamics at play in this case.

I’d probably be a little afraid to say “get him the hell away from me” too AFTER realizing what he was actually like, but BEFORE he went to prison. Would YOU be shouting it in the streets knowing he could do the same to you? Just sayin’.

  20. javelin says:

I think the sequel will involve Gloria Lawyer as the quasi-hero and Chrstie as the bait.. but who will play Christie’s love interest? Dumb enough to date the person who was dumb enough to date OJ? Your time has come.

  21. marlena says:

this man is a certified psychopath…

  22. Giz says:

She falls into the same category as the women who write and marry murderers in prison and/or on deathrow, the one twist is this guy was free! Yeah, like it took 13 years for her to realize what a menace he was. Yeah…right! Uh-huh.

I was in WNY a few years ago, when both of them were brazenly mugging and chucking up for the cameras while looking for at houses in the Buffalo area. They were the talk of Buffalo and Lockport. My co-workers expressed disgust and fear at the very idea of having the OJ residing within a two-block radius of them.

The only reason she probably fears him now is because she dumped after his conviction. Not to mention, the gravy train ceased to be!

The guy should remain locked up for the rest of his life on the basis of brazen arrogance, ego and stupidity alone (no need to even touch on the other reasons). She, on the other hand, should rid herself of that trashy appearance and get a job. A REAL job! She’s lucky to still be around, period!

  23. karl anglin says:

I saw OJ Simpson in Santa Monica,
California in March 1997. I heard him
complaining about having to give up
his antiques when he should have been
thankful for his freedom. If he is
released again, I doubt he would
appreciate what he has been given.

  24. Snoopchew says:

Agree that Simpson is one of the most despicable excuses for a human being, but look at the sharks out there in the legal ocean just hanging around for the money and willing to put him free to kill again. They too, are despicable.

  25. Magsy says:

She better be good and scared cuz she looks like Nicole too. Here’s a tip, get rid of all of your knives.

  26. SB says:

I bet her dad is proud.

  27. Bryan says:

I happened to be related to christy, Her grandfather is my uncle. He once referred to our family as Bohunks. I would like to invite him to a family reunion and introduce him to LOUISVILLE SLUGGER!!

  28. burnzie says:

Wow….Wow…..Some people are so very naive and blind. Girl, you better go get a concealed handgun liscense and buy a gun cuz you’re going to need it when this nutcase gets out of jail. Run
Baby Run! …Oh yea and spend ur money quick in case he gets you B4 you get him. 🙂

  29. ed says:

Holy cow, I’m so tired of golddiggers and publicity seekers. Get a real job and some self respect! For 13 years, her “career” was Simpson’s prostitute for lack of a better word. He paid and she gave. It’s amazing how scary he’s become to her now that he’s not paying for her anymore. What she’s really afraid of is having to support herself now.

  30. mali2u says:

I just can’t seem to understand these bimbos. This one in particular, knew OJ’s history yet she dated him for 13 years? Give me a break. I would say she got just what she deserved. So shut up and stop whinning. You indured the abuse until this individual landed in prison, now that he is behind bars, you start ranting and raving. Well, you should be behind bars too, for being stupid enough to begin dating Simpson right after Nicole’s murder. Gheez, what rock did she crawl from under.

  31. mary says:

What a brainless twit. She deserves him

  32. rose says:

I don’t think that douche bag is
afraid of OJ. I think she is writing
this book to have some money for
him when he get out. That way he
don’t have to share with the Goldmen’s
or the Browns. I hate that bastard
I wish someone would kill him

  33. john cosner says:

wtf keep is black ass in jail

  34. patricia says:

That girl know what she’s doing. She claims afraid she’s need money to keep living that high life, what u bet she’s still takes his fone calls and write him every week. Barbie looks better than she does and she didn’t need O.J.

  35. Charles says:

I dont believe a word this witch is saying .Her gravy train done got lock up and now she has to do something .I dont know whats worse the people who do wrong or their friends who squeel like pigs. If OJ was beating her everyday she looks dang good maybe she owes him for a cosmetic makeover

  36. free oj says:

the man had the right to get his personal belongings, some else stealing those for personal profit was wrong even in a capitalistic sociey.
OJ was set up because of his LA acquidal, that is the main fact between the lines regarding corrupt public servants, corrupt politicians, corrupt professionals, corrupt crooks. corrupt capitalists and corrupt americans (.)

  37. rose says:

That bastard killed his wife and Ron
Goldman as sure as I’m sitting here. His
money got him off. Justice is GREEN
especially in his case. Oh! and poor
