I didn’t travel over Thanksgiving. Holiday travel is hell on earth and I would never choose that for myself. If I was rich as hell like Taylor Swift, I would spend the money and get everyone to come to me, wherever I was. Taylor was apparently in New York for Thanksgiving Eve, where she likely hosted a Friendsgiving celebration for the last remnants of the Girl Squad (Martha Hunt is still ride-or-die but Karlie Kloss remains in the wind). Then Taylor… flew to London? ON Thanksgiving? What in the world?
Looks like Taylor Swiftis shaking off the last couple of weeks and spending time with her loved ones. For the Thanksgiving holiday, it looks as though Swift is taking a step back to spend some much needed time with her friends and her beau, Joe Alwyn. As you may recall, Swift and Alwyn have been dating for about three years now but have continued to keep their relationship private and under wraps. An E! News source shared that this Thanksgiving, Swift traveled to London to spend the holiday with the 28-year-old actor.
“She arrived on Thursday from New York and is spending the weekend there,” the source added.
Prior to leaving the country to be with Alwyn, Swift hosted her annual Friendsgiving party with model Gigi Hadid, 30-year-old Martha Hunt and Queer Eye’s Antoni Porowski.
“It’s an annual tradition for Taylor to get together with close friends and do this,” an E! News source shared. “Many have been at her gathering in years past. This year was intimate and casual, but they all had a great time.”
Her friend Hunt shared a sweet picture of the two friends hugging it out for the ‘gram on Thanksgiving, captioning the photo, “thankful for friends.” Hadid also shared a group picture of the lovely Friendsgiving celebration on her Instagram Story where Swift could be seen taking a sip of wine. “Friendsgiving this week :),” wrote the model on her picture. “Love you all sm.”
Maybe Taylor’s Friendsgiving is the new Taymerica Fourth of July party? I hope so, because I think Taymerica parties might be a thing of the past. No more Independence Day parties, and no big Thanksgiving celebration with her family? I mean, Taylor could have spent Thanksgiving with her parents and her brother. But she chose to have her pilot fly her private jet to England ON Thanksgiving Day. Which is a lot. Did… Joe not want to celebrate an American holiday? Did Taylor’s pilot at least get paid extra to fly her overseas on a holiday?

That is my thought- seems like there is a pretty big divide between these two now. That isn’t petty it seems to be based on values.
Yes people love to hate Taylor but Karlie Kloss is a lost cause and Taylor is probably right to leave that behind her.
I follow Karlie on Instagram (mainly because I love Project runway) and she was back at her parents house for turkey day.
Seems kinda weird and try-hard that she had to fly to him in another country for a US holiday. You’d think he’d make the effort to come to her.
The rest of the world has a normal, working day. As it was her holiday, made sense for her to do the travelling. Besides, perhaps she wanted to go to London? I dont blame her, its one of the worlds truly great cities and we nail Christmas decor like no other.

My personal belief is she wrote it about Tom, about the period when she was still with Calvin. Then when she and Tom broke up she changed a few lyrics and can claim it’s about Joe. There is no way Gorgeous was originally about him 🤣🤣
I don’t think this is a big deal at all. I think Thanksgiving is a stupid holiday (I know a lot don’t this is me personally) and I wouldn’t think anything about doing something fun with friends and then going to my boyfriend.
I mean she seems more into Christmas and it’s not like Taylor is like me with limited time off so big holidays is when she can see her family. So that probably isn’t as big of a deal

Comparing us regular folks flying/traveling on Thanksgiving to Taylor flying on Thanksgiving is like comparing apples to oranges. Holiday travel on your private jet is surely not hell on earth.

Flying on a holiday is the best. The airports are way less busy than normal, and you usually get some kind of treat from the flight attendants when on the plane. Flying on Christmas Day is my favourite.
I like Taylor but how come she never gets called out about travelling by private plane?
Maybe her boyfriend is working and couldn’t travel to her. Maybe she actually wanted to spend time with his family too.
I think the celebs that get called out about private planes tend to be the ones who talk a big game about protecting the environment. I think the hypocrisy bugs people more than anything else. Taylor never spoke out about climate change or environmentalism so the hypocrisy isn’t there. She talks a lot about bullying while doing things that others perceive as bullying, so that’s where the hypocrisy is, meaning that’s where the criticism is
He was at the British Independent Film Awards yesterday, so yes he was working.
My boyfriend is English (London) and comes to Paris to do Thanksgiving with me every year. He takes off work and everything, and a few restaurants here in Paris do a Thanksging service. I don’t understand why he couldn’t come to her. If my boyfriend could, and I could, we would fly to America for thanksgiving. Weird.
I did a quick check and he is currently filming a movie that looks to be London based so maybe he couldn’t leave so she visited him.
I think it’s as simple as that. She had a break in her schedule on Thanksgiving because it’s an American holiday, he had demands on his time because it’s not a holiday in the UK, and she has way more resources than he does. Makes total sense to me. In Daylight, one of the songs on Lover, she mentions flying “back and forth from New York” in the early parts of their relationship, so I think hopping her private plane from New York to London is just totally the norm for her.
Also, and I realize I am alone on this island, but I find Joe waaaaay more attractive than Tom Hiddleston, but also, I have literally never found Hiddleston attractive and could never figure out why people were so into him/Loki. So yeah, different folks, different strokes.

I’m not a big fan of hers, but I do admire how in love she is with him. Lover and Cornelia Street are endearing songs. I’m curious on if he feels as strongly as she does though. She has some clear “I want to get married” messages in her latest album, so I wonder if he’s feeling the pressure.
I kind of think they’re already married and she has a specific time when she plans to share that particular information (I could be totally, totally wrong). Also, she definitely sings, “He’s so obsessed with me and boy I understand” on I Think He Knows. Also also, I think that she emphasizes “and true!” in the Lover bridge because if anything, she’s insinuating that she’s really in it as much as he is, because I think she absolutely two-timed him and Hiddles in the beginning and was kind of a dick to Joe for a while. Sigh. I have a lot of thoughts about Tay Tay.
