Isn’t this just Inception 2? Am I the only one disappointed that Denzel’s son isn’t a more nuanced actor. There’s no surprise to his cadence or how he says his lines. Oh well he’ll be fine. Nice to see Christopher Nolan acknowledge black actors exist. Only took him 30 years
He has mentioned that he doesn’t like being called “Denzel’s son.” He is his own person and is trying to build his own career and not be compared to his dad. I think he’s a very good actor – he was fantastic in Spike Lee’s BlaKKKlansman.

There’s also lots of Batman in there too with Nolan having directed a trilogy, Michael Caine doing a long stint as Alfred, and Pattinson the new Batman but the Cedric Diggory and Fleur thing struck me first. Of course, Gilderoy Lockhart could be a double agent, having directed Thor and being the first voice heard on Avengers: Infinity Wars.
I’m really bummed I won’t be seeing this in the theater. I just can’t see myself doing that this year. But this does look amazing. Darn.

Eh. I don’t know how to feel about the Good News thing. This is a time where of course you need a break from the misery, but turning it into a full fledged show is a meh idea to me. It’s slightly in the realm of “Hey! You don’t need to focus on all the terrible things going on in the world, you’re wealthy and white! Watch this show instead!”
I agree. And with that announcement, it has jumped the shark.
I worked as a PA on the set of Tenet last summer when they were filming the highway scene for 3 weeks. It was the most pleasant, friendly and professional workplace experience I’ve ever had. I saw R Pattz, Washington and Nolan & K. Branagh while working. One of my best summers ever.

I still have no idea what this movie is about, but it looks cool. Unfortunately I will be waiting until it comes onto HBO or on demand, because I don’t see any circumstances in which I set foot in a movie theater this year.
