Prince Harry moved the Endeavor Fund away from the Cambridges’ foundation

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex attend The Mountbatten Festival of Music in London

I’ll admit it, I’m still very confused about the technical aspects of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s exit from the royal family and what it means for various charities and such. Harry already made the Invictus Games into its own stand-alone thing, so he got to “take” Invictus as he left. If it had been under the umbrella of anything official with the military or Windsors, I’m sure Liz of House Petty would have made him “give it up.” But I didn’t realize that the Endeavor Fund, another charity Harry started, was up until now still part of the Royal Foundation, the one which he and Meghan were part of pre-Sussexit. Now Harry is taking it away from the Cambridges’ chronic failures and self-owns. Good for him.

Prince Harry has merged The Endeavour Fund and the Invictus games so that he is able to continue working on them following his decision to step back as a senior royal.

Taking to Twitter, @WeAreInvictus penned: ‘The Invictus Games Foundation is delighted to announce that the Endeavour Fund has been transferred across from The Royal Foundation and into the work of the Invictus Games Foundation. The Endeavour Fund will continue to support the ambitions of wounded, injured and sick service personnel and veterans but will now expand its activities across the international Invictus community.’

The Duke of Sussex established The Endeavour Fund in 2012 when he was patron of The Royal Foundation – alongside brother Prince William and Kate Middleton.

The Invictus Games Foundation website reads: ‘Since the time of its inception, the Endeavour Fund has granted over £3,000,000 across over 100 endeavour activities that have supported over 6,000 wounded, injured and sick service personnel and veterans (WIS) to re-engage with sport or adventurous challenge after sustaining injury or falling ill during their time in the military. This includes being responsible for establishing and funding the original Invictus Games in 2014. And this transfer now presents an exciting opportunity for both organisations to further their support for international members of the WIS community.

Jason Knauf, CEO of The Royal Foundation commented: ‘The Endeavour Fund has played an important role in ensuring that those injured in service have the opportunity to rediscover their self-belief and fighting spirit through physical challenges over the years. The Royal Foundation is proud of its role in creating both Endeavour Fund and the Invictus Games, and the impact that both have had on the WIS community. We look forward to seeing their continued success, together.’

[From The Daily Mail]

(Poor) Jason Knauf could have saved his breath and just said: DON’T FORGET ABOUT THE KEEEEEENS. Knauf really wanted to remind everyone that Will and Kate helped Harry “create” Invictus and Endeavor. I imagine Will and Kate have spent years privately patting themselves on the back for all of THEIR good work in “creating” two of Harry’s successful ventures. God, how I would love to get a look at all of the current schemes of the Royal Foundation. I bet the whole thing is a mess since Harry and Meghan left. I think it was a mess while the Sussexes were around too, which is why the Sussexes wanted to GTFO.

Meanwhile, did anyone catch this hit piece in the Sun a few days ago? A wealthy Republican developer named Rick Caruso confirmed that he met with Harry and Meghan in April and he said he was “very impressed” with them and they talked about charity work and more. The Sun turned this into the lede: “The Sussexes, who have both been critical of the US President in the past, recently had a meeting with developer Rick Caruso while living in a £15m Beverly Hills mansion.” The British peeps are apparently still f–king salty about the fact that Meghan has the audacity to A) hate Trump B) still meet with politically conservative businessmen to work on common-ground charitable initiatives and C) live in a mansion. It’s all so stupid and funny.

Good for Harry and he also released the books on Sentable imagine that.

  2. jess says:

They’re going to seethe the moment their foundation launches. With Harry gone, what initiatives does the royal foundation have that actually created large tangible results like the cookbook and invictus? I cant think of any. I guess the struggle survey counts, but what came out of that struggle survey? none.

  3. Ali says:

The plan was to have the Sussex Foundation.

If that had happened then The Endeavour Fund would have been moved under it.

But I’m thinking the Sussexes may never have a dedicated social media. Seems like working on different platforms is working out better.

(Anyway I have to bully James Middleton)

    • Ginger says:

I saw that on twitter. He is getting dragged and I am glad. He had to turn his comments off.

      • jess says:

havent been on twitter because of finals week! wait what happened to james middleton?! please spill the tea!

      • Ali says:

@JESS Jimmy ‘nazi marshmallow’ Middleton posted on Instagram Black Lives Matter and a quote that being silent on the issue is being on the side if the opesser.

Well people are calling him out for being silent on the racism directed at Meghan from his sister and mother.

Also I commented that he hasn’t spoken up for the racism in the UK.

        Lots of fun conversations.

    • Molly says:

Lol, James will get dragged and not learn a thing. He posted that to be trendy and will center himself as the victim.

  4. Ruby_Woo says:

Yes! Yes! Yes! They have gotten it done. Out nice and clean. And with the Wessex’s charity/ foundation nonsense, they made the best decision.

I noticed that comment about how the Royal Foundation helped create the Endeavour Funs too – they so thirsty for credit. Everyone knows Invictus and Endeavour Funds are Harry’s projects.

And Jesus! Even ‘wealthy Republican developers’ doesn’t have a bad word to say about them, but all those craggy faced Royal ‘experts’ are still foaming at the mouth over tights protocol.

  5. Busyann says:

Ahhhhhh! That name, Rick Caruso sounded familiar to me. Then I remembered he is the guy that developed The Grove, and a few other entertainment hot spots around SoCal. Good job Meghan and Harry. Good job.

  6. Rae says:

I will be interested to compare “books” in a year or two time, just to see which foundation actually makes money and which does not, ala The Wessex’s mess.

  7. Snazzy says:

Of course he did. He knows the Royal Foundation is just about money laundering. He needs to remove all his causes from them to ensure the money goes to where it’s supposed to go, instead of paying for Duchess Karens buttons and and bespoke coat dresses.

    • mer says:

So Harry was cool with this supposed money laundering before, but now that he sensibly left the UK to protect Meghan and Archie from the virulent racism, from the tabloids and from members from his own family, he has a problem with it? That’s not the best look.

      • Desdemona says:

Maybe he wasn’t allowed to take it away before..

      • Couch potato says:

It is rumored that some of the fall out between the brothers was about the foundation finances. Someone tweeted about it after a RR spilled some beans while drinking. Harry probably didn’t know. It might have come to light, when they tried to funnel the money from the cookbook elsewhere.

      • Snazzy says:

I think either he couldn’t do anything about it, or didn’t know until, as Couch Potato mentioned, he saw what they tried to do with the cookbook funds. But his finding out precipitated the separation from the Foundation for sure

      • Emmitt says:

Harry may not have known about any money laundering until Meghan showed up and started asking questions. After Harry started paying attention, it was time for him & Meghan to separate themselves from the Keens.

“If you know what I knew”

      • morrigan01 says:

@Emmitt I too tend to think this is how it went.

I don’t think Harry is dumb or dim or anything. But he probably had no reason to question where the money going into the Cambridge Foundation was going or what it was doing so long as his charity projects were financially okay and solvent. He likely just trusted everything was okay. Given his comment about his family being “the family she [Meghan] never had” I think Harry really was just blind to a lot of things wrt his family.

Getting with Meghan opened his eyes wrt thinking his family would protect her and be a family to her. And Meghan has lived for years having to manager her own significant finances and life with her own money. I’m sure she knows at least the basics of financial management and investing. So she probably started just basically looking into things when setting up the Cookbook and was like “wtf?” at what she saw was happening with money that went into the Cambridge Foundation and talked to Harry about it. Which leads us all to this now.

    • Lady D says:

Doesn’t Charles pay the clothing bill in that house?

  8. Becks1 says:

I’m glad he was able to “take” the Endeavour Fund, and Jason’s statement about it is pretty amusing.

So what do you have left, Cambridges?

    • Nic919 says:

Where is the year end accounting for the Cambridge royal foundation? Year end was April 30th. What is the delay?

      • FicklePickle says:

That is a good question. Their website only has the 2018 report, why wouldn’t they have the previous years up as well?

  9. Digital Unicorn says:

Oooh this will hurt the RF funds as that made up a chunk of their money. I wonder how many charities will now suffer due to the Cambridge mismanagement of the RF funds? Let’s remember that even the auditors from last year raised concerns over how the RF money was being spent AND the fact that the Snowflakes can’t keep financial directors – how many have they gone through in the past year?

There is seriously shady shit going down at the RF. Are they funding the Middleton weed farm?

  10. Ginger says:

It blows my mind that theses RR’s are so upset about them living in a mansion. Do they expect them to live in a 1 bedroom apartment or a box by the side of the road? They both have connections to very powerful people. Of course these people would take care of them. The royal family certainly didn’t take care of them.

I’m glad for Harry. I see that a Coach Core also moved from the Royal Foundation and is moving to become a private charity.

    • Ali says:

There are people on this site that didn’t like that the Sussexes live in a mansion.

Now I wonder if their security guards are staying in the mansion given the protests in Los Angeles?

      • BayTampaBay says:

@Ali – What “people” are you referring to?

      • Genessee says:

They are in a gated community far up in the hills away from commercial centers. They are fine. I’m sure the home has a security or gatekeeper house onsite for live-in staff.

      • morrigan01 says:

Beverly Hills itself isn’t gated totally, but a large majority of the houses there have gated entrances, and there are gated sections of the area. They live in one of the sections that’s gated.

And yes, where they are is WAY up in the hills, far away from downtown and the commercial centers and districts. They’re fine.

    • Cee says:

If the Middletons get to live in a COUNTRY MANOR then TRH The Duke and Duchess of Sussex sure as hell get to live in a Beverly Hills Mansion.

  11. Loretta says:

Good for Harry, he will do amazing things in the future

  12. Jumpingthesnark says:

The palpable relief in the tweet sent out by invictus!!! Such shade!! So good!! And yes, let’s all put popcorn and beverages on the calendar in about a year to compare the charitable efforts of teams Sussex and Cambridge…….

  13. IntheKnow says:

There is now an article on the fail about Willnot and Kantnot using Heads together to support BLM. Ugh, I could vomit. After what these racist did to Meaghan???

    • Ali says:

Queen’s Commonwealth Trust had a statement yesterday

      • Harla says:

I think that came from Harry and Meghan who are still the President and Vice President of the QCT, the Queen couldn’t give 2 f*cks about Black lives.

      • Anon says:

Yes, that was the Sussex voice, not Lizzie’s….

    • BayTampaBay says:

      Deleted!

    • Molly says:

Those two better stay tf away. William “I”m so bored with racism” and Karen “tightsgate” Kensington can take their insincere trash behavior and go fight with the Turnip Toffs.

What happened to any followup to William’s “work” on racism in football or BAFTA nominations?

  14. ClaireB says:

Good for Harry! The farther he can get himself, his new family and his projects from these toxic grifters, the better.

  15. MeghanNotMarkle says:

Good for Harry. This seems like a natural progression, though, so I’m not surprised it happened.

  16. Mtec says:

“The Royal Foundation is proud of its role in creating both Endeavour Fund and the Invictus GameS”

I think the wording is very interesting here. Technically since he’s speaking about the past “The Royal Foundation” could actually just be alluding to Harry some of the staff, BUT because it’s being intentionally vague people could mistake it as the Cambridges helped as well. I don’t think Knauf could actually say that or allude to the Cambridges themselves actually having an active role in helping create either charity. Because he knows that ain’t true. The Cambridges are looking for any win they can have right now, specially if it will make the Sussexes look bad, so if they actually had helped create these two charities they would’ve had Knauf straight up mentioned their involvement. But keeping it as “The Royal Foundation helped,” the generalization of that statement makes it seem as if Will and Kate were also involved, which I bet they weren’t.

    • Lizzie says:

Sort of like killing it on a project at work and then your boss takes all the credit. Everyone knows and rolls their eyes at the pompous fool.

  17. Harla says:

I’m so glad that the Endeavor Fund is out of the RF and with Invictus Games Foundation, it just feels “safer” to me.

  18. CAP N' CRUNCH says:

When will the Royal Foundation release their annual report? I need a good laugh.

  19. S808 says:

Other than Heads Together what projects are left under TRF??? I heard that the Cookbook is but it’s protected and the funds it generates goes directly to them but I don’t know how true that is.

    • Molly says:

The struggle survey, the Earthshot prize, the yacht race, events put on by their mental health charities lumped together as Heads Together.

  20. Alice says:

Rick Caruso may be a Republican but he’s also a big figure in L.A.’s civic life and it makes complete sense they would meet with him if they’re looking to get involved and expand their network. Caruso is chairman of the USC Board of Trustees. He was president of the L.A. Police Commission and regularly flirts with running for Mayor.

  21. Lizzie says:

Can I say, these pictures are still stunning and make my day. They are both flawless. I thought nothing would come close to the iconic pic in the rain, but these two in red are killing it.

  22. My3cents says:

What a relief! Now the Cambridges can finally get back to doing their morning school run.
Just one more charity away from rescuing those poor kids from being thrown under the bus!

  23. Jaded says:

“The Sussexes, who have both been critical of the US President in the past, recently had a meeting with developer Rick Caruso while living in a £15m Beverly Hills mansion.” ….

Rick Caruso is a vocal opponent of Trump. He was asked whether he would consider banning him from the Grove when Trump was caught in “grab ’em by the pussy-gate” and Caruso said “I would be happy to do that.” He also said “If you want to be in public office … you’ve got to be compassionate, you’ve gotta be a gentleman, you’ve gotta be professional … I just don’t see him being any of that.”

So much for the snide shade about the Sussex’s criticism of Trump in the past and how could they consort with an evil Republican.

    • Anon says:

The whole lede makes no sense at all, other than to inflame their trumpster mob against the couple.

  24. yinyang says:

Harry’s getting tired of being associated with the the RF, nothing but hell there.

  25. Bella says:

    Good.

  26. Vanessa says:

Good for Harry it’s about time people realize their a difference between the two couples The Sussex’s wanting to work and do actually charity work . Where as the Cambridge’s just wants to appear to be Keen to do something in the near future and get praise for being mediocre and do nothing . The sad as attempted by the Cambridge’s and Jason to try to take credit for Harry work is just sad they spend years gaslighting Harry making him seem like the dim Witted younger brother who was just happy to be a part the third wheel with the Cambridge’s . The Cambridge’s and Kensington Palace helped the press smeared Meghan at time when she should be able to relax and enjoy being newly married and pregnant instead They helped tear this woman down in the most disgusting ways racist ways .

  27. L4frimaire says:

Great news about the Endeavor Fund. They know who really does the work and puts in the time and brings in the money. They really can’t get over that mansion, can they?

  28. MA says:

Lmao wish they would preface all royals like that… “The Queen did an engagement while living in palaces costing a billion dollars.”

  29. Abena Asantewaa says:

I have suddenly come to the realisation that Harry was the one person carrying the RF with his heavy weight charities: Invictus, Sentabale (co-founded)The Endeavour Fund, Headfit. All these he founded himself. The sky is the limit for H&M.

    • Gingerbee says:

Agree. The bumbling Shamebridges want to latch on to Harry’s projects and take credit.

    • Molly says:

And the Cambridges and their stans want to gaslight Harry about needing them when it was the other way around.

  30. Charfromdarock says:

Good for Harry but more importantly god for the charity.

I feel bad for the charities that have Cain and Unable as patrons. They are as useless as t*ts on a bull.

  31. morrigan01 says:

I wonder if Harry getting the Endeavor Fund out is a big signal to some that, one year review or not, Harry is never coming back? Because I kinda think it might have been.

    • Lizzie says:

Or when the review happens there will be begging to return but not from Harry. I think Liz and Chuck will be worried about the Doolittle sh!t show and try to temp Harry back with the military roles they ruthlessly took away.

      • Molly says:

They better be trying to figure roles that could tempt Harry and Meghan back, guaranteed financial security, and make it understood with the Cambridges and the RR that the scapegoat pr tricks needs to stop.

But all this will never happen. And it seems like people Tyler Perry have stepped to help while the Sussexes get things figured out.

    • Babsorig says:

I think at the 1 year review, Harry’s half in and half out offer will still be on the table, just that; half in and half out and living in the US for most of his time. Meghan’s wont be, and it will be Harry that will deliver the bad news that “Meghan is no longer in any desire to be associated with anything royal. She will support me as her husband and accompany me whenever I need her to, but she will not be a working royal (not even a half in half out one) in any way, shape or form”. That’s what I believe will happen. The Cambridges saw the writing on the wall when Harry stated at the last Endeavor Awards that Endeavor was getting merged into the Invictus and its gonna be an international event starting year 2021, they knew this was coming, it was a matter of when, not if. The Cambridges are NOTHING without Harry, absolutely nothing.

  32. Lily says:

I am excited to see all the great ideas the Sussexes will have for their foundations and charitable causes.

  33. blunt talker says:

I am very proud and elated to see Harry make the decisions he wants for the charities he supports and help get funded. I do agree with some posters statements that something happened to cause Harry and Meghan to get uneasy with the funding process for the charities they are responsible for. Harry and Meghan do not have any problems talking and working with others who share their charity dreams and hopes. Whether they be democrat or republican. Being a disrepectful shitstain before even meeting them is a another matter-Piers Morgan/Donald Trump’s discussion of Meghan’s views before Trump was elected. The orange shitstain was starting shit before he met the Duchess and the tabs ran with it. If you are disrepectful to them before meeting them-I don’t blame the duchess for skipping that meeting. I love them more as time goes on. I wish nothing but happiness and success as they move forward. The one thing the British tabs need to understand about wealthy black people in America-please do not ask or tell them who support and how to spend their money-you will get a knee on your neck. That is a nono-mind your business and the business of the remaining monarchs.

  34. bamaborn says:

    GOOD!
