Is Kanye West planning to expand his Yeezy brand into cosmetics & perfume?

When Rihanna started her Fenty Beauty brand, it shook the cosmetics industry to its core. While other celebrities had, at that point, done side-business cosmetics lines, Fenty Beauty went off like a bomb and fundamentally changed the industry. Rihanna offered a huge variety in skin-tone foundations, and that became the signature for her brand: something for all races, for all skin tones. Other cosmetics companies had to play catch-up after ignoring women of color (literally, women of all colors) for far too long.

Fenty Beauty also had another effect on the cosmetics industry: suddenly, every celebrity with a million Instagram followers thought that they too could start a cosmetics brand and get a slice of the lucrative cosmetics pie. Kylie Jenner expanded her brand around the same time, Kim Kardashian launched her cosmetics brand, Khloe Kardashian started hers, Lady Gaga has got one too and on and on. So, obviously, now is the moment for… Kanye West to start HIS beauty line??

Kanye West is putting on his Yeezys and getting to work — it looks like he’s trying to expand his brand into the world of cosmetics and fragrances … just like the women in his family. According to new legal docs, Kanye’s company recently filed for a “Yeezy” trademark to cover a plethora of beauty and skincare products. We’re talking makeup, false eyelashes, facial masks, nail polish, moisturizers, bath gels, body oils, shaving cream, hair care products and perfumes, along with some hygienic products like toothpaste and deodorant … and even scented pine cones and aromatherapy pillows.

If Kanye’s successful, he’ll be following in the footsteps of his wife Kim Kardashian’s KKW Beauty line and sister-in-law Kylie Jenner’s massively popular Kylie Cosmetics … which includes Khloe’s Koko Kollection.

It should be noted … Kanye’s tried to go this route before. Back in 2017, he filed similar docs to lock up the rights to DONDA brand cosmetics — named after his mother — but it never really got going.

It’s completely possible that Kanye is just trademarking all of this stuff so that no one else will, and he wants to keep the Yeezy brand solely for his shoes and clothing line. But I actually think it would be smart business for him to expand – not necessarily in cosmetics, but definitely start building into the “lifestyle” aspect, and maybe start smaller with Yeezy perfume and cologne. Maybe that’s entirely too reasonable, and for sure, I’m only thinking about this through a business perspective. Kanye is still a horrid Trump-supporter living in a sunken-place dome in Wyoming.

Well I will not be buying any of his overpriced crap. Shoes, cologne or anything else. He has gone over a bridge to the dark side and I do not want to let him back. I think a skin care line aimed at men is a great idea but I wish it was a celebrity I liked doing it. Maybe John Legend

Khloe has a make up line, whats it called?

  3. Deedee says:

I actually, I think he should go into a men’s line, such as cologne, body wash and soap, deodorant, shampoo, shaving cream and razors, etc. I don’t think the ladies in his life do anything like that. OT: why is he dressed in silver in those pics?

Make-up is so over-priced anyways, I can’t imagine what he would charge. I mean dude sells cotton t-shirts for a hundred bucks. What the f*ck does he know about make-up. Hell even the women in his family know very little about make-up. I don’t think Kim can even do her own make-up or hair.

Its not how much he would profit, but how much money he’ll be able to launder for the mob through fake sales… Kanye and Trump have more in common than narcissism.
