Virginia Giuffre’s defamation lawsuit records have been unsealed and oh my god

As discussed, Ghislaine Maxwell tried to appeal the unsealing of Virginia Giuffre’s defamation case. The documents were ordered unsealed last week, but Maxwell’s legal team was given a chance to appeal and they lost that appeal. I thought the document dump would happen starting Monday. Nope! The document dump began last night – you can read the actual documents from Virginia’s 2016 deposition here, as well as some emails between Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell from 2015. Here’s what people are talking about:

Virginia Giuffre, an alleged victim of Jeffrey Epstein, describes the psychological toll of Epstein’s abuse in portions of a newly released deposition from May 3, 2016. Giuffre has previously described being recruited by Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s onetime girlfriend who has been described as a “recruiter” for Epstein’s purported sex trafficking ring, as a teenager, and has alleged she was instructed by Maxwell to have sex with numerous men including Prince Andrew.

In her deposition, Giuffre is pressed by attorneys to provide additional names of men who Maxwell “directed her” to have sex with. The attorney conducting the interview names several, including Prince Andrew, former New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson, and an individual described as “another prince,” and another individual described as “the large hotel chain owner.”

“Look, I’ve given you what I know right now,” Giuffre said in response. “I’m sorry. This is very hard for me and very frustrating to have to go over this. I don’t — I don’t recall all of the people. There was a large amount of people that I was sent to.”

In the court filings, Maxwell and her attorney portray Giuffre as an unreliable narrator, pointing to errors in certain dates and figures she provided. Giuffre acknowledges in the deposition she was paid for the photo of herself with Prince Andrew that has been published in numerous media outlets. Giuffre also claims in her deposition that she rode in a helicopter that Maxwell piloted to Epstein’s private island in the Caribbean “plenty of times.”

Discussing her interviews with reporter Sharon Churcher in 2011, Giuffre says she told Churcher that Maxwell had claimed she flew former President Bill Clinton into the island owned by Epstein as well. “Ghislaine told me that she flew Bill Clinton in. And Ghislaine likes to talk a lot of stuff that sounds fantastical. And whether it’s true or not, that is what I do recall telling Sharon Churcher.”

Giuffre acknowledges in her deposition that in some ways she felt Churcher got the story wrong but she never tried to correct her. Giuffre described wondering why former President Clinton was on the island while she was there and discussing it with Epstein.

“I remember asking Jeffrey what’s Bill Clinton doing here kind of thing, and he laughed it off and said well he owes me a favor,” Giuffre told attorneys in a 2011 recorded conversation about her claims against Epstein. “He never told me what favors they were. I never knew. I didn’t know if he was serious. It was just a joke.” Giuffre went on to say that Epstein told her “everyone owes him favors. They’re all in each other’s pockets.”

Giuffre said that Maxwell and other “girls” were on the island at the time as well. Giuffre has previously said publicly that she saw Clinton on the island. Clinton has denied ever going to Epstein’s island in the Caribbean.

In the 2016 deposition, Virginia also describes how she was first “recruited” (groomed) by Ghislaine. Virginia and her father both worked at Mar-a-Lago, and Ghislaine recruited her to come to Epstein’s house so she (Virginia) could learn more about massages, because Virginia (then just a teenager) was interested in massage therapy. Her father dropped her off at Epstein’s mansion and Ghislaine promised her father that she would get Virginia a ride home. That was the first time Virginia met Epstein and the first instance of abuse.

In the deposition, Virginia also named the other men Epstein and Maxwell trafficked her to: Prince Andrew, Bill Richardson, Glen Dubinn, Stephen Kaufmann and Alan Dershowitz.

This stuff is really foul. There should be a trigger warning on it. I hope Ghislane and her ilk gets what’s coming to them.

    • Kanye’s Blonde Hair says:

The Clinton connection is most disgusting of all. That man is such a fkng pig!

He denies ever being on that island in spite of physical evidence and people naming him. PIG!

      • Queensland says:

Agreed. Sadly those at the very top will get away with it because the people with any power to do anything about it are their friends.

      • Mumzy says:

I don’t know what to make of the Clinton connection. In the documentary, I thought Virginia (and/or the property manager?—many weeks since I watched) said she never saw Clinton with any girls or doing anything sketchy [other than being with JE]. I felt that the comments weren’t just careful wording (to imply but not accuse without evidence), but more of a reflection that yes, Clinton had been on the island, but perhaps to just meet with JE. Please correct me if I got that wrong!

The most damaging factor regarding Clinton in my mind, after watching the documentary, was him lying when he claimed that he had never been to the island.

For those who haven’t watched the documentary, please do if you are able—It is difficult to watch, and definitely deserves a *massive* trigger warning. The film is very well done, and staggering on so many levels, the most positive being the strength of the women who are sharing their experiences and speaking out, not only for themselves, but also for those who cannot. Their strength and determination, especially after suffering shocking and staggering abuse, is heroic and inspiring. Those women are badass warriors. We need new monuments—let’s start with strong women who fight back in an effort to hold the powerful and guilty accountable, and shine a bright light into dark doings for the protection of others.

      • osito says:

Mummy, you’re not wrong about what was said about Clinton, though I did think the language was a little careful. He was mentioned, along with Bill Gates, as powerful person with a lot of notoriety who was on the island. Unlike Gates, however, Clinton’s island visit seemed more involved somehow. They were very clear in saying that Gates had a meeting and was out of there before dinner was served, but Clinton was there for longer, like maybe there was a meeting, but there was also dinner, and there were photos taken of him lounging with other guests at what appeared to be a party. They were very careful to say that they didn’t see him interact inappropriately with any of the girls, though.

      • letlightshine says:

If you guys think Clinton is big….just wait. History will change, particularly in entertainment, if all the ppl Epstein served with underage girls is released.

      • bettyrose says:

Problem is, I have no problem believing this about Clinton. I allowed myself to be in denial about Clinton for decades, because as president he spoke eloquently about women’s rights – the first in my lifetime to do so, and very unlike our current president who actively and openly hates women. But we know/have known since before he was first elected that Clinton has a small category of women he treats as sex objects (not rich college girls like Monica Lewinsky, but the office assistants and little known women whose claims of abuse have always shrouded him).

    • Sunday says:

I’m sorry, but there’s zero legitimate business to be done with a “man” (demon?) like Jeffrey Epstein on his private pedophilia island. I don’t believe Gates or Clinton “sacrificed” their morals to sink to Epstein’s level because whatever business they had to conduct was JUST THAT IMPORTANT. They were there because they wanted to be there, full stop. Just because they weren’t first on the conga line or doing chicken fights in the pool in front of everybody doesn’t indicate in any way that their presence or behavior there was above board.

Ms. Giuffre’s language may have been careful because she wasn’t directly trafficked to either Gates or Clinton, and hadn’t seen anything first hand. Her lawyers would naturally advise her not to speculate and focus instead on what she knows to be true and what they can prove.

To play devils’ advocate (literally), IF IF IF Gates and Clinton WERE on the island because they just HAD to be or were tricked into it, once they arrived and saw the CLEARLY underage girls, these men had a moral responsibility to speak up and they failed. I mean, do you think they were actually undercover vigilantes who went to the island to infiltrate the inner circle and bring the DOJ evidence so they could open an investigation? LOLOL yea right. This is just wishful thinking, these men are living garbage and deserve to burn with the rest of them.

      • Jules says:

Yup, they are all complicit. Furthermore, Epstein and Maxwell were all about blackmail and hidden cameras. So they probably have dirt on everyone they came in contact with, then would blackmail them into secrecy and compliance.

      • osito says:

To be clear, I wasn’t saying that anything they were doing on the island was legitimate. Just confirming Mumzy’s characterization of how it was discussed in the Netflix series.

  2. A says:

Jesus. I hope she gets justice out of all of this because having to go through all of that and then having to recount it in a deposition and then having that deposition become headline news must be exhausting and traumatic with very little relief. I believe Virginia Giuffres.

  3. Kate says:

This woman is so brave. I hope she gets the justice she has worked so hard for.

  4. lanne says:

And people are still angry about how Meghan touched her stomach too much while pregnant and smiled too much for the cameras when Andrew was raping teenaged girls? British media is diseased and toxic. The British royal family is diseased and toxic.

    • Edna says:

No wonder the anti Meghan stories have been full tilt this week. Need that distraction from Andrew and what would come out in these depositions.

    • Mumbles says:

Not every post and news story is about Meghan. This is Virginia’s story and moment, it’s a long time coming, don’t take it from her.

Most British people, if they even care about the a Royal Family (and most don’t), find Andrew abhorrent.

  5. CidyKitty(CidySmiley) says:

This is so horrible. Shes so f-ing brave. These people are disgusting and I hope they get what is coming.

She is speaking for some many girls who have been and will be trafficked in the future. The nightmare she has gone through to even have her day in court, to have her voice heard is a mountain. I stand with her.

    • Esmom says:

I agree. If you watched the Epstein documentary on Netflix all the women who came forward are so incredibly brave. And the other people, law enforcement and lawyers, who’ve fought so hard for so long in a corrupt system that was just stacked against them, didn’t give up in the face of terrible obstacles, either. I’d really like to believe justice will eventually prevail.

    • Miss D says:

Does anyone know how she finally got away from these people? I’m sure it felt completely hopeless from her perspective.

      • Mumzy says:

According to “The Sydney Morning Herald” she

“made her escape from Mr Epstein’s employment when, for her 19th birthday, he enrolled her in a massage course.

She flew over to Thailand and met an Australian martial arts expert named Robert. A whirlwind courtship ensued, and within 10 days they were married. ‘Robert taught me how to live again,’ Ms Roberts told the Daily Mail.”

        https://www.smh.com.au/world/virginia-roberts-new-lease-on-life-after-escaping-from-billionaire-sexual-predator-jeffrey-epstein-20150105-12i9f8.html

      • Amelie says:

^what Mumzy said. Viriginia also talks about her escape in the Filthy Rich documentary, being in Thailand and meeting her Australian husband and getting married. That whole story is pretty insane but she was probably so desperate for someone to protect and take care of her and this guy was probably the first decent human she had met in years. They are still together and she lives with him in Australia.

I got a lot of satisfaction when Virginia mentioned she called Epstein to tell him she was never coming back and also how she had gotten married. He must have been so astonished, thinking she would never dare run.

      • Trashaddict says:

The choice of Thailand is intriguing. I like the country but very unfortunately there is an exploitative sex tourism industry there. They take advantage of people from the hill tribes. Who knows what would have happened if she hadn’t gotten out with the Australian?

  6. Darla says:

Dershowitz not only raped underage girls he watched other high profile men rape underage girls, and he was then involved in that coverup with Acosta where he managed to give himself immunity from something he claims he never did. So what now? What happens to him now?

None of this was a surprise, but I did find myself disgusted all over again at the Royals. And I can’t help it, I think absolutely nothing of the Queen. She’s disgusting. I’m not the Meghan stan most here are, I really have almost no opinion. I don’t know them. But that they are so busy attacking her in the press, even if she’s no saint, she’s not this! She’s not Andrew. Maybe you should concern yourself with other matters you pigs!

  7. Anna says:

    “another prince”??? Who is this?

    • Darla says:

I suspect MBS, but it’s impossible to say at this point. More will come out, down the road I believe. It also says in here that Epstein was trafficking girls as young as 12, and I cannot help but remember there is a woman who said she was raped by a certain, hotel owner let us say, in Epstein’s NYC mansion, when she was 13. And that her life was threatened by him. It’s all coming together and it’s more sickening than most of us could imagine.

      • Mich says:

MBS is too young for it to be him. There are a million Saudi princes. One lived in DC when I lived there in the 90s and I was invited over for a dinner party with some friends. Got the hell out of there as soon as it became clear what kind of party it really was.

      • Darla says:

Oh yeah you are probably right, I didn’t do the math on that. Really? God it’s so awful.

    • Digital Unicorn says:

A lot of people are saying MBS but he’s 34 years old and Virginia is 36, so he would have been a young teenager as well at the time. People are saying it could be Prince Albert but I think its a royal that doesn’t have a high profile (or not anymore).

Plus the Saudi RF has too many Princes to shake a stick at. It would be interesting to see what Royals (other than Andrew) had a profile in NY at that time.

      • CL says:

        Who is MBS?

      • MerryGirl says:

How about David Linley Armstrong-Jones – Princess Margaret’s son who was just discovered to be in Epstein’s black book. Virginia may have assumed becuase he’s related to Prince Andrew that he was a Prince too?

      • Anoni Mus says:

@CL, MBS is Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman.

    • 10KTurtle says:

      Albert of Monaco?

    • A says:

I don’t think this person would have been a very high profile prince or royal. There are lots and lots of minor royalty in Europe, who are technically princes, but don’t officially have that as a title or serve in that capacity. It could be any number of people, sadly.

  8. Lively says:

The saddest thing about this is there will be no justice for these women, all those vile men named will get away with it. I swear this world depress the living $hit out me.
The rich and powerful own the justice system

    • Darla says:

I fear they will get away with it. Dershowitz is tweeting right now saying “there’s no charges against me in the files I got released”.

That HE got released! And there’s no charges in them, those are all “old debunked charges”.

I’m telling you this is so depressing.

    • A says:

The more people say this, the more it’s likely to become true. Hope is not about wishing for a positive outcome. Hope is about doing what’s right, regardless of the outcome that it results in. This fight is not just about justice, it’s about the truth. It’s about giving people the courage to stand up and speak out, regardless of the odds. In that way, Virginia Roberts has been doing a great deal of good. We can’t all only fight if we’re guaranteed to win.

  9. Who ARE These People? says:

    1. She gave this information under oath.

    2. Bill Clinton may have been there for other reasons (one hopes) but this underscores that Hillary Clinton’s deserved ambitions were perpetually undermined by his.

    3. Dershowitz has long been a gross and overrated pig.

    • Nobody can possibly deny at this point that Bill flew no less than 11 times on the “Lolita Express” for anything other than underage girls can they? He may have the mind of a politician but he has the soul of a predator of woman.

      • ChillyWilly says:

Yeah, I find it hard to believe Clinton didn’t partake in what that island specialized in. It’s so disgusting.

    • Justme says:

Hilary protected him though. Don’t forget that

      • Unpopular opinion but I believe this to. I don’t think the Clinton’s have had a “traditional” marriage in a very long time. They are now political partners and she tried to keep his image from dirtying hers. She has been covering for Old Bill for a long time and vice versa.

      • Mary says:

I have been disgusted with both of the Clintons since the Lewinsky affair. I knew he was a pig then and he is still a pig; and, I was also disgusted by Hillary’s support for him (that you just knew was to serve her own ambitions).

    • 10KTurtle says:

There’s no doubt in my mind about Bill Clinton being a pig, but the thing that gets me every time I try to make sense of this is his Secret Service detail. Don’t they have to go everywhere with him? Do they wait outside the door while he rapes 15-year-olds? Somebody said once they vet a property they don’t have to be in sight at all times, but how did Rape Island pass the security vetting? Was EVERYBODY in on it? [yes]

      • Chaine says:

I could be wrong, but I think the secret service mission is very limited, like they are protecting the people from being kidnapped or assassinated, they are not there to be moral police or protect third parties from their dignitary. Just a trivial example, but remember the Bush daughters and their underage drinking escapades? Secret service people were there and did nothing to stop them being served.

      • Mary says:

Haha! Clinton’s secret service, back in the day, were themselves a bunch of dirty dogs sniffing after all the girls and women they could!!

      • Tin says:

About the Secret Service—my son attended an Ivy League college where Malia Obama was visiting. My son was at a party in a dorm room. The Secret Service agents came into this dorm room right before Malia, told the kids they would be watching to make sure Malia was safe, but they would not get involved in stopping any illegal activities unless those endangered Malia’s life.

Obviously that’s not on the level of this stuff with Clinton.

  10. Lanie says:

Quick! Someone find Andrew another daughter to marry off in another old gown from the queen!

    • cherriepie84 says:

I wish there was a like button for your comment!

    • Mary says:

      🤣🤣🤣

    • KellyRyan says:

Can’t stop laughing 🙂 Keep hoping with a trial, more reveals, the BRF grifters are moved to a Bunker. Has anyone watched Worriker, 3 part PBS series? I highly recommend it. Reminds me of the Epstein connections, human trafficking, arms trading, money laundering.

    • Desert Lizard says:

He’s all out of daughters to marry off in his mom’s old dresses so I guess now one of them has to get pregnant. Then we can hear what a doting grandfather he is but we won’t see any pictures, of course.

  11. ChillyWilly says:

So disturbing. Who is the hotel chain owner? Trump?

    • Esmom says:

I’m guessing no because she would remember him. I think Trump’s in a separate category.

      • Darla says:

I do as well. I think first of all, Trump always had his own private plane so he wouldn’t be on any logs. though I believe he was still found on at least one of those logs. He’d be on a lot more if he didn’t have his own plane, this guy knows how to cover his smelly behind. Second of all, he lived 5 minutes from Epstein’s NYC mansion. Also, in Florida. And lastly, it’s long been my view that Trump himself was trafficking and I think it’s really obvious when you look at the details of his so called modeling agency. I think Epstein was learning the ropes from Trump, but you’ll never see that really delved into. It’s all there. But the media won’t touch it. Like so much else with Trump.

      • Yvette says:

@Esmon … She didn’t say that she didn’t ‘know’ who it was (though it’s possible at 16 or 17 years old she may ‘not’ have known who he was), just that he was ‘the large hotel chain owner.’ It probably isn’t Trump, though, because I don’t know if his hotels would be considered a ‘chain.’ But Trump has said himself (in a recent press conference when he was asked about his ‘wishing Maxwell well’ comment) that Epstein and Maxwell lived in Florida near him so they saw a lot of each other.

    • PhD gossip says:

      Stephen Kaufman

    • Tris says:

Is the hotel chain owner Trump??? If so this should be the top headline and takeaway.

      • TadBit says:

Come on. It’s GOT to be trump, but she’s either threatened and or paid off mightly to “Forget”

      • msd says:

Hyatt hotels magnate Tom Pritzker has been named.

      • BeanieBean says:

But if you were to describe trump, would you use the phrase, ‘large hotel chain owner’? Even before the election? I’d say big deal NYC developer, which was his carefully constructed PR.

    • Sid says:

Besides Trump, the ones that come to mind are two uber-wealthy male owners of luxury hotel groups and are based out in Las Vegas.

    • Embee says:

Who was that dufus who was a hotel owner named ambassador by Drumpf and testified at the impeachment? Could it be him? He’s in the nest of vipers…

    • Jenn says:

Didn’t she work at Mar-A-Lago? I thought I read that her and her dad both worked there, and she had met Trump before

  12. Becks1 says:

My god. To see it laid out – its really disgusting and heartbreaking to think about how many girls were victimized.

and STILL, the british press protects Andrew. The Telegraph tweeted a story about this and blocked replies to it.

    • Jules says:

There are so many more girls…. where are they? Still alive, or too afraid to speak out?

The British monarchy is slowly starting to crack wide open.

      • KellyRyan says:

Per Zev Shalev the number of young women, girls are in the thousands. Paid or threatened? As to Trump, keep in mind he uses an unsecured phone and with or without one our National Security has a record of the calls and conversations.

  13. Sunday says:

Am I the only one that’s confused about the redacted versus unredacted files? The initial drop I saw on twitter from verified journalists/lawyers were all redacted, and then some anonymous accounts like the Techno Fog thread linked here posted unredacted ones but they were just screenshots which isn’t exactly properly sourced?

I’m just worried that trump’s trolls will obfuscate the truth by flooding the internet with doctored screenshots (which they’ve done so many times before) and the more reputable journalists and media will fall for it (which they’ve done so many times before) and the story will get so convoluted that the general public will lose interest (which they’ve done so many times before).

    • Darla says:

Yes, that is what they are doing. Dershowitz is out there now mixing Al Gore’s name in with his. It’s all about the obfuscation. Getting people so confused they throw up their hands. And I’ve always believe that one of the biggest weapons you see deployed is; if everybody’s guilty, than no body is.

      • Sunday says:

Of course they are, and the entire media body (except Maddow and Soledad O’Brien) will fall for it all, again. Wonderful.

    • Olenna says:

Blew me, too. I saw an unredacted name (B. Richardson) on what appeared to be the same page as a redacted one. WTH?

    • C-Shell says:

AND they’ve (ineptly) redacted names of the power hitters, but did *not* redact the names and addresses of the law enforcement officers. Creeps and cretins. 🤬

    • Jules says:

There really is no reputable media. If you trace it back, all of the media companies are owned by just a couple companies/families. All the information we get is controlled unless it’s through a private journalist who has no other intention than honest reporting. But the perps who are still hiding out will get revealed sooner or later, too many people know at this point.

      • hunter says:

This. Bezos owns Washington Post. You think he wants to get all up in this story? Bezos has hung out with Ghislane too.

    • Jules says:

I don’t know if I can copy links here but you can go to courtlistener.com and see the docs

    • Golly Gee says:

I was just thinking the same thing when I read the comment above this one questioning who the hotel owner was. People are listing all of these different names underneath so the question remains unanswered.

  14. Frida_K says:

Virginia Giuffre is so brave. I hope that she has a lot of support around her, a great therapist, and all that she needs in terms of resources. Even then, this has to be crushing, daunting, traumatizing. All of it.

May she one day see justice served.

  15. taylor says:

i wish we lived in a world where it didn’t take decades (if at all) for rich and powerful people to be held accountable for their heinous and predatory actions, particularly against women.

Also, the more that’s revealed, the more it clear that the BRF and UK media protect Andrew out of absolute necessity. If the full extent of his criminal behavior, from grifting to rape, were exposed, what’s left of the institution’s integrity would be shot. People like to think it’s just the Queen protecting her favorite son, but Charles would do the same. And throwing Meghan and Harry under the bus is much less detrimental to his future reign than exposing Andrew’s life of criminality, aided by the protection and support of the Firm. The same dynamic exists within the ruling class establishment in the US and their protection of Clinton, Trump, and countless others. All of these systems of power need to be dismantled.

    • ArtHistorian says:

Andrew really is a ticking bomb for the British monarchy – his criminal behaviour can blow the very foundation of the institution apart.

  16. Sunday says:

I find it very convenient that the names that have been mentioned are all people we’ve known about before: Clinton, Dershowitz, and Prince Andrew. A cynical person might say that this was intentionally done because certain people are still being protected and this is a very shiny group of disgusting pigs to throw to the crowd. Given Barr’s involvement and what we’ve seen so far, I think this is highly likely, however I’m holding out hope that this is merely an amuse bouche to get us ready for the still-to-come main course that will break the internet.

(Also, Ms. Giuffre is so, so brave.)

  17. ABritGuest says:

Everything around Epstein, Ghislaine Maxwell etc is so disturbing. Their victims are so incredibly brave to seek justice against such powerful players& kudos to journalists like at the Miami Herald for doggedly pursuing claims around Epstein etc.

Looks like Prince Andrew& Dershowitz lobbied the justice department for Epstein’s deal. No wonder Epstein threw a party for Andrew when he came out of jail. Epstein also blatantly has evidence on them. Petty shocking all around but hey Meghan wore a necklace so that’s all the palace & press care about

  18. Darla says:

the right wing trolls have arrived. Today’s a good day for an internet break, I have tons of work! One interesting thing – I have a blog and I sell political merch on it, liberal obviously – yesterday I didn’t just break a sales record, it was smashed. I am trying to keep up with the orders. Something happened yesterday, people got activated. Maybe it was Obama, I don’t know. Maybe there’s some hope. I don’t know. I’ll try and be optimistic. In the meantime: ARREST DERSHOWITZ!!!

  19. Veronica S. says:

I wish I was shocked, but I really am not. My suspicion is that most of the ultra wealthy and powerful are involved in human trafficking, either directly profiting from it or by utilizing its services, simply because that really is the ultimate result of end stage capitalism, even though people don’t like to see it – the absolute commodification of people themselves. When your money protects you from the law, how can you possibly be held responsible to any basic sense of morality, much less any humanity? You’re completely removed from the social communal aspect of human life. It’s why billionaires are inherently dangerous.

It really is, in so many ways, the absolute height of evil to me. The utter destruction of a life, reducing it to an object to be bartered around at will. I wish this hadn’t happened to her, or any of the victims, but I hope that they get some justice out of this, even if only by removing the veil of silence that’s surrounded the horror they went through.

    • Sid says:

Veronica, ITA. I have often said that one reason it seems like people convicted of these offenses get such light sentences is because so many people in positions of power (judges, law enforcement, politicians, uber-wealthy, etc.) are also involved in sex trafficking, pedophilia, etc. These trash buckets protect each other.

  20. Mabs A'Mabbin says:

It’s refreshing to see renewed disgust with the “royal” family. I honestly quit interacting with anything labeled royal because I want them to eventually be cloroxed out of the area’s historical architecture. They should be the last in a long line of horrific dysfunction dating back to the middle ages.

Maxwell should be tried for everything minus actual penetration. She handed girls to old men on silver platters dressed, rehearsed and ready for consumption. She’s the recruiter. She’s the trainer. She’s the costume designer. She’s the set designer. She’s the stage manager. She’s the party planner. She’s the concierge (old French–cumserges). This piece of trash deserves far less than a federally-funded jumpsuit.

  21. LZ says:

Please someone forward this to the women of the Talk, because when this first came to light they defended Prince Andrew and said Guifree was 17 and she was old enough not to be manipulated and she needed to get it together and over it cause it was also her fault

    • BL says:

      What?? For real?

    • Jules says:

Right, because The Talk is all about exemplary journalism.

    • Desert Lizard says:

The Talk? Sharon Osborne, yes? You’ve said it all. They are a bunch of entitled, wealthy women who feel free to pass judgement on folks who are in situations that the “ladies” of the Talk cannot imagine and would never survive.

  22. Queensland says:

Wake me up when Bill Clinton gets implicated.

  23. cisne says:

    #nolessthan10years; #rikers4ghislaine; #rikers4alltherapists;

    • Roo says:

Cisne, it’s late and I slept very little last night. I read your last hashtag as “Rikers for all therapists” and I was confused for a bit. Sigh…

  24. L says:

Is this why Dershowitz is strangely supportive of Trump???

    • lucy2 says:

Probably. He probably had a “talk” with him the way he had a “golf game” with Lindsay Graham.

All of this is so horrible. Everyone who participated in this needs to go to jail and not come out.

    • ItsYaGirl says:

It’s why he wrote the opinion in The Spectator piece to be easy on Maxwell. He also brought up Al and Tipper Gore! That one shocked me. He’s filthy. He tried to lower the age of consent to cover his child sexual trafficking crimes.

  25. Tasz says:

I believe Virginia. She’s a strong, brave woman. I also believe the other victims. All are remarkable.

I hope justice comes hard for their abusers. Sex trafficking is an abomination and should not be justified by how many coins are in your pocket.

  26. adastraperaspera says:

Tip of the iceberg. Much of the money being laundered by contemptibles like the Trumps is from sex trafficking.

    • Jules says:

Agreed, a lot more names will be coming out. Remember, we used to love Cosby and Spacey. Hollywood is built on corruption, and the people at the top are gonna fall.

  27. Beech says:

Bill Richardson is the former governor of my state, NM. He was the the UN ambassador under the Clinton administration and there was talk of being a possible running mate in Hillary’s run for the presidency. He was all over the talking heads tv programs as he discussed his diplomacy work in Korea. And of course, NM is where Epstein’s compound is located outside Santa Fe Richardson pushed for tax breaks for Hollywood productions to film in the state. His last term had issues along the pay to play area. He moved in many circles.

    • Jules says:

I just commented on this… politics and Hollywood overlap, and many of the top players are involved in this corruption.

    • schmootc says:

I was really surprised by his name being on this list. I didn’t know Epstein had a compound in NM. I do remember going to see Obama when he came to Portland during his first campaign and Richardson was speaking with him. There were rumblings about him being a VP pick then. Glad Obama didn’t go that route! I just didn’t think Richardson was a creep! Live and learn.

    • lucy2 says:

I think Richardson actually ran for POTUS in 2008 but was one of the early drop outs.

Seeing his name made me think, I can’t imagine having the gall to do such horrible things, AND think you should be in charge of the country, but then remembered…Trump. And probably Bill Clinton. Hillary should have kicked his ass to the curb decades ago.

      • Kalana says:

Tim Russert pretty much ended Richardson’s campaign when he was a guest on Meet the Press. Russert flattened him with such noticeable contempt. I wonder if Russert knew.

  28. Megs says:

I’m finding it odd that all of a sudden- past two weeks- all the anti-maskers and Covid deniers on my Facebook feed have been posting incessantly about human trafficking and child sex abuse and how rampant it is and I’m like… yeah, we already have proof of this with Epstein, but it’s like they are trying to push some Qanon agenda- is anyone else noticing this? What’s their angle? I find it suspicious because, while I think this subject needs to be brought to light, why are none mentioning Epstein and just promoting “shadowy” unknowns.

    • Lucy says:

I’ve seen that too, and people openly saying wayfair is involved? Which, wayfair is profiting off of the border caging of children.
I don’t know if it’s like Amazon where anyone can list something on the marketplace and fulfill (which does set the possibility of laundering money/selling disguised items).
It is a convenient thing to care about all of a sudden. Distract distract spin spin

  29. DME says:

Dershowitz was simply not believable in the documentary. At all. Virginia is so brave. This case would’ve just went away without her pushing.

    • February-Pisces says:

I know I admire her so much. She’s taking on some of the most powerful people in the world. She’s an incredibly brave woman, I hope she stays safe.

  30. ItsYaGirl says:

WHO is the other Prince o_0

  31. Fatima Knows says:

    Prince Albert of Monaco.

Naomi Campbell is a common thread running through many of these events. Check out the hundreds of images of her 2001 birthday party in St. Tropez and notice who you see.

Naomi Campbell was also rumored to have attempted suicide around this time, which she denies.

  32. Kkat says:

So would it help or hinder the RF if Andy dropped dead from a heart attack or covid?

  33. jnet says:

I don’t understand why Clinton being a twisted, sex addicted pervert is so hard to believe. Monica was in her 20s, he was the leader of the free world. Had this scenario played with anyone else, we would have called him out as a predator a looong time ago.

  34. Ennie says:

What about Andre Balazs? Hotelier linked to Epstein, too.

  35. Moo says:

Why don’t I see this on CNN? Seriously shocked. What news outlets are running this story?

  36. Marigold says:

I’m so sick of Bill Clinton being the beneficiary of so many double standards. Because he’s well-spoken. Because he’s a Democrat. Because people “like him.”

I grew up in Arkansas while he was a governor, and he’s been a user of women since he was old enough to know how to use them.

He’s been hurting women and exploiting women and his wife has been complicit in covering it up…and the American left has swallowed it whole.

He’s a horrible human being and so is his wife. There. I said it. I’m so tired of watching people dance around the Clintons, trying to believe it isn’t so. He’s a rapist and a philanderer and a libertine of the worst kind. He ALWAYS has been. His wife has enabled him and covered up for him. The party has dismissed, slandered, and smeared every single one of his victims who came forward.

If you have any trouble believing Bill Clinton was there, and if your first instinct is to try and defend his presence when it hasn’t been for any of the other named men…then my personal opinion is that you need to sit and consider what that means about how serious your political prejudices might be and how violently they cloud your judgment.

If someone said they saw Barack Obama with Epstein…I’d give Obama the benefit of doubt. I wouldn’t believe it without proof because there has never been a whiff of this kind of crime or proclivity around President Obama. I wouldn’t believe it of Jimmy Carter (even if he were hale and hearty, still) for the same reason. Clinton, however? Seriously? I’d be more surprised if he HADN’T been named as one of Epstein’s boys.

    • Hoot says:

Marigold – Thank you for being so candid with your remarks about Bill Clinton. I think you have a unique perspective since you lived in the state while he governed there. I feel the same as you do. People forget, “Where there’s smoke, there’s fire.”
