Chris Brown tapes Larry King Live appearance; breaks terms of probation

Chris Brown is reported to have pre-taped an appearance on Larry King Live yesterday that will air on CNN next week. Radar was the first to break the news that Chris would “apologize” on Larry King once his sentencing was complete. Now that he’s been ordered to serve five years probation, stay away from Rihanna, do six months of community service and take domestic violence education classes, he’s ready to reclaim his position as a vastly overpaid singer/dancer. In order to do that he needs to properly disguise his sense of entitlement and get back into the public’s good graces. Given the lame apologies and rude deflections of blame we’ve heard from him so far, I doubt that any amount of coaching will make this kid’s apology convincing. I guess we’ll see next week, though. If he manages to cry some crocodile tears we may have to give him some credit.

Chris Brown has apologized to Rihanna (several times, he says) and ‘fessed up on video for the world to see.

But apparently the disgraced R&B star still had something to say, because he sat down with Larry King on Wednesday at CNN’s Hollywood headquarters for his first interview since his Feb. 8 arrest for assaulting his ex, E! News has learned exclusively.

And it was a no-holds-barred chat during which Brown answered every question put to him, according to our source. We assume some of King’s inquiries pertained to the 20-year-old’s probation report, which indicated that he got rough with Rihanna more than once over the course of their stormy relationship.

The insider tells E! that the interview will air sometime next week on Larry King Live. A network rep could not immediately be reached for comment.

Brown was formally sentenced yesterday to five years’ probation, 52 weeks of domestic-violence counseling and 180 days of community labor, which he’s planning to complete in his home state of Virginia.

[From E! Online]

Brown didn’t seem contrite after his sentencing and went out partying Tuesday night to celebrate the fact that he won’t be going to jail. Brown, who is only 20 and is not of legal drinking age in the US, was out to a club afterwards, where he was photographed dancing. The probation report orders Brown to “abstain from the use of all alcoholic beverages and stay out of places where they are the chief item of sale.” TMZ reports that Brown might get off on a technicality though, because “in her sentencing order, the judge did not mention the restriction. We’re told the judge trumps the probation department.” This idiot will screw up his community service most likely, and when he does there will be a judge willing to cart his ass off to jail. After all, it only took him a day to violate his probation requirements.

    He should be in jail!

  2. Praise St. Angie! says:

    he beat someone severely.

girlfriend or stranger, he should be serving time, especially since he doesn’t seem to be feeling any remorse for what he did.

  3. Firestarter says:

He and his fat, block head, disgust me!

It’s refreshing to read the above comments in regards to this guy. I can’t believe that girls were screaming, “I love you, Chris,” when this douche came out of his sentencing, that he got no jailtime, and that there are people who have the nerve to say nonsense such as “she asked for it.” I have no time or patience for self-entitled aholes like him. Can’t believe he had the cajones to have custom made and order an “OOPS” necklace and parade around in it! This whole thing is a joke to this guy. And why not? Our society made it a joke.

  5. gg says:

Something tells me he doesn’t understand what “probation” really means. Which is why I think he should have been put in a lockdown instead.

  6. Obvious says:

I say send him for a week, let him see what jail really is, then let him work on probation.

I think once a beater always a beater, but at 20 i think he’s still young enough he MIGHT learn. but someone needs to show him the hard truth.

Although as an entertainer he will no longer be allowed in many countries to perform thanks to his criminal record.

You guys are too much…they reported on Radaronline that Chris drunk water the entire time he was at that club…you ppl hate him so much and Rihanna doesn’t…other media outlets said that Chris drunk water the entire night…no club owner wants to lose their liquior lice. for no one because that’s how these clubs make their money…but you have some media outlets that are shedding light on Rihanna’s violent behavior also and realizing that it wasn’t just Brown but her also…ppl look at the entire picture and lets see if she comes to court Nov. 19 to ask the judge for the modification of the stay away order to be dropped….

    florida_girl: you’re an idiot.

I will NEVER give this creep any credit. He brutally attacked someone and has never showed an ounce of remorse or culpability in it. It’s disgusting that Larry King even allowed him on the show.

  9. Ducky says:

@Obvious – I think he’s young enough that he COULD possibly learn, but I also think that his behaviour thus far has shown that he won’t.

@florida_girl – “look at the entire picture?” Would that be the picture where Rihanna is the one with all the bruises and scars??? Or is there some secret photo of Chris looking remorseful somewhere? Keep drinking the Kool Aid. :-/

  10. Firestarter says:

Excuse me Florida Girl, but terms of probation are: You cannot be anywhere liquor is served as the main source of income. It matters not that he drank water all night, it matters that he was in violation of the rules of his bloody probation.

It really disappoints me to see you being an apologist for this SWINE!

Furthermore, it is not an issue that Rihanna goes out to party because SHE IS NOT THE ONE ON PROBATION.

Again, it is never okay to physically abuse someone. A man should conduct himself like a man and never touch a woman physically. If he was being abused by Rihanna, then walk away, call the cops on her, not argue, beat her and then run away and deny the incident until you cannot deny it any longer.

People who defend this chump and his actions amaze me.

  11. filthy cute says:

Florida_Girl, I hope a marginally talented, overpaid egomaniac beats you about the face and body one day. Dumb b1tch.

  12. Alex says:

florida_girl – the whole picture in this case is he was charged for severely beating and threatening to kill Rihanna.

She hasn’t been charged for anything so it’s hard to say for sure what she has or has not done in the past – which doesn’t matter in the slightest.

Oh… and a woman slapping a man’s face (yes, it’s wrong) is comparable to a man choking, beating, restraining, and threatening to kill a woman??? Get your head out of your *ss – you’re completely clueless!

  13. jule says:

anyone catch “liquoir lice” from florida_girl…..lololol

  14. the original kate says:

@ florida girl: “other media outlets said that Chris drunk water the entire night…”

FYI: it’s drank water, not drunk water. and “liquoir lice” is not an actual term.

  15. Firestarter says:

I guess she didn’t know how to spell license!

  16. Snoopchew says:

    @florida_girl
Please spit that vomit out of your mouth and quit spewing it on this website.

  17. Daniel says:

screw jail, beat the sh*t out of HIM and leave him in an alley somewhere!

  18. GatsbyGal says:

Florida_girl, you are the reason why so many women stick with abusive men. You’re trying to paint the victim as someone who is also violent, but that still does not excuse Chris Brown’s behavior. Have you even READ what he did to her that night? It’s insane. No matter how many times she slaps him in the face or shoves him, the truth of the matter is that he is a man and he is much stronger than her, and the photos of her face prove just how ruthless he really is. I can’t believe you would try to somehow justify his actions; you’re making it sound like you believe she deserved it. You sicken me.

  19. Catlady says:

What Chris Brown did was wrong. There’s no argument there. But if the reports are true that Rihanna also engaged in instigating physical violence against him, she should be facing the music as well. Physical violence is wrong, regardless of who starts it. Just because she may not have been able to do as much damage as he did doesn’t mean she should not be held responsible for her own behavior. I’m just sayin’…

  20. Magsy says:

Don’t wanna hear your shit Chris. Unless you wanna beat Larry King’s ass–that I’d watch.
