The one time I watched Real Housewives of Beverly Hills this season was when the astrologist was on. That was episode six in season ten (thanks Lisa!) and it reminded me so much of the drunk vaping psychic on season one! The astrologist did everyone’s charts and seemed like he loved sowing feuds, which is the whole point of this show. They did it at Erika’s house and my god her husband is OLD! He’s 81, I just checked, and he talked about meeting John Wayne when he was younger. I could not get with a dude that old, but I’m not a gold digger like so many of these women. Anyway the woman who was definitely the blandest was Teddi Mellencamp. Her main plotline was that she was besties with Kyle Richards, which is super boring. They tried to make some kind of “more than friends” story out of it, but that wasn’t flying at all. Plus we know the real hookup was between Denise Richards and Brandi Glanville. We recently heard that Denise is leaving RHOBH, and now there’s news that Teddi probably won’t be coming back either. Outlets are reporting that she’s about to be fired after three years.
Teddi Mellencamp is set to be axed from “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” after three seasons on the show, the Daily Mail reported on Monday.
“The network has not been impressed with her performance on the show,” an insider told the outlet. “They considered cutting her last season but gave her one last chance.”
The insider added, “She is boring and stale and does not offer anything to the franchise with her robotic and staged delivery when interacting with the other cast members. The issue is, the other cast members don’t particularly like her and beyond Kyle [Richards], no one is friends with her.”
Mellencamp, 39, joined the show in 2017 and struggled to fit in with the women. She found her footing with her close relationship with Richards this past season, but it seems that was not enough to save her diamond…
Mellencamp took to Instagram to defend the program and told Page Six: “We realize that social media is a blessing and a curse, and it can bring out the best in people and the worst. We have so many fabulous friends and fans on social, but there are also detractors, and there will always be people who want to feel better by making other people feel worse. That makes me sad, but it’s the way it is.”
“I decided to start All In when so many of my Instagram followers started reaching out and wanted to achieve the same level of accountability, I had found for myself,” she concluded. “I realized this in fact is my purpose and what I love doing. Helping others feel their best.”
Teddi is younger than the other housewives at 39, she’s sort-of a self-made businesswoman apart from the fact that her dad, John Cougar Mellencamp, is rock royalty, and she’s married to a guy who is only four years older than she is. She’s boring comparatively and she wasn’t good at getting in feuds with the other women either from what I could tell. We just talked about her extremely expensive diet coaching plan, which former clients say boils down to eating 500 to 1,000 calories and exercising for an hour a day. That’s very unhealthy and borderline starvation, but even her response to that was predictable, defensive and not that interesting. Everyone says the same thing about haters trying to bring them down because they’re successful. So she’s getting fired for being boring on the show. The fact that she didn’t turn that PR disaster into some kind of lifestyle content with People or US likely just reminds RHOBH producers that she’s not going to change.
BYE Teddi. Now fire Kyle, Rinna and Erika. I stopped watching this season. Their bullying tactics made my blood boil. Poor Denise didn’t deserve all the vileness they directed at her. Ironically, these same women have sooo many skeletons in their closet. Mauricio ans Harry cheating, Erika’s husband owing millions etc.
Ugh I’m so sick of Kyle and Rinna and Erica brings nothing. But, I think it’d be interesting to see Kyle and Erica fires and Rinna essentially left on her own. Nonetheless relieved to see Teddi going!
The show needs a massive cast overhaul. At least 2 people in the Kyle-Rinna-Erika-Teddi sqaure need to be fired (other than Teddi)
I also think they want to cut her loose in case there’s lawsuit’s from her diet plan.
Someone might try to figure out a way to tie in the Housewives franchise in the lawsuit.
this bugs me. everyone is on a tirade about how Teddi is SO BORING but literally all anyone can do is talk about Teddi. and then they went after her business. i agree that an extremely low calorie diet is supremely unhealthy and should be questioned BUT then you have to go after all the other accountability programs that are doing very similar things. it just feels like they’re unfairly going after one because people love to hate her and that’s pretty terrible. if you’re mad about the diet industry – get mad about all of it! i watch the show (it’s my guilty pleasure) and thought it was refreshing to have a housewife on there who was her age, with the young kids and running her own business separate from opening stores and performing on stages. i don’t get how you can complain about someone being boring but ONLY be talking about her.
What do you mean? Literally no one talks about her. This is like the only time she’s ever had an article written about her and I think it’s likely because she just crowed that she was never leaving, just a few weeks ago. Plus the Edwin doxxing/all in issue.
I think if they get rid of Teddi, who is boring AF, they’ll bring Sutton on full time, and I do not like Sutton. I get bad vibes from her. Her only qualification is that she’s extremely wealthy due to being a golddigger. I’m also weary of Lisa tirelessly promoting her daughters’ modeling careers.
I don’t know anything about her but she looks like her dad. That’s all I’ve got.
I’m so old I remember when her father John married her mother Vicki. Fun fact: my ex BIL’s first wife, before my sister, was one of John’s girlfriends when he was on the road. Six degrees and all that. Its the reason why my BIL divorced his first wife.
She’s not just boring, she’s self-centered illogical annoying boring. When she argues with people, she points of their flaws but fails to see herself doing the same exact thing. When she went after Lisa V. last season, she was all about how holding herself accountable for being lying and being manipulated while refusing to take any responsibility for lying or her own choices, and refused to consider that she may not be correct.
I loathe Dorit, but at least my loathing isn’t boring. And Kyle has charming moments and some interesting life stuff, while also being petty and backstabby. Linna is annoying, but if she stopped stage moming, at least she tries to do things. Teddi is just lacking any charm or interest.
I watch the show and glad to see Teddi go. She’s boring, self centered, and likes to point out other people’s flaws while not acknowledging her own.
Rinna and Kyle are interesting but their mean girl behaviour with Denise was a big turn off. I wish Denise would stay, I find her and her weird husband interesting. I think she’s leaving because she doesn’t want to deal with the Brandi drama that would certainly follow her into the next season.
Dorit and Garcelle and fine, I actually like Garcelle a lot.
So who else thinks that Brandi and Denise did hook up and Denise is lying about it? I kinda wish they’d bring Brandi back. She’s a train wreck but that’s just good TV!
according to Sutton she heard they hooked up 2 years ago – that’s before her marriage to Aaron so sure, they were probably friends with benefits but the only reason it became a topic on the show was a way for Kyle & Teddi to go after Denise for “mom shaming ” them (even though she did no such thing) as part of their over-reaction to Denise’s comments about how she keeps the sex talk away from her teens (and their friends who were with them during her party). Is Denise lying that they never had sex or she never complained about the other women (something they ALL friggen do)? Sure Is it something she probably didn’t want on the show because Charlie might try to find a way to use it against her? possibly. It’s odd that Brandi was all hurt & bent out of shape over how Denise wronged her blah blah blah because she very quickly & loudly told Denise & Aaron she wanted to be a throuple with them at Kyle’s party so I think her happily telling a salivating Teddi & Kyle what an horrible person Denise was to her was two-fold: #1 to get back on the show & #2 to get revenge b/c it was clear the feeling wasn’t mutual
I’ll also note that Teddi proved herself to be the worst last season, thanks all her lying about how she never tells a lie, refusing to hold herself accountable and claiming she was the moral authority for the group. When Dorit, who was too irresponsible in her handling of 2 rescue dogs she adopted, looked like a better person than Teddi, that says a lot
And, yes, I’m ashamed I know any of this
