Donald Trump channels Mussolini for stage-managed departure from Walter Reed

President Trump arrives at the White House after departing Walter Reed National Military Medical Center

I woke up yesterday knowing that the week would be a total sh-tshow. I was not wrong. Yesterday afternoon (EST) corona-ridden and heavily medicated Donald Trump tweeted this:

“Don’t be afraid of Covid. Don’t let it dominate your life.” There are 210,000 Americans dead from this virus. Trump makes it sound like they were complicit in their own deaths because they were “afraid” and they let the deadly virus “dominate their lives.” He’s a psycho, no surprise. But yeah, Walter Reed allowed Trump to return to the White House, where I assume he’ll be treated by a crack team of drunk Navy doctors in the White House baby bunker as Mother’s Husband quietly eats his fruit cup in the corner. But did you think that Trump would simply allow himself to be released from Walter Reed without fanfare? Of course not. He had to (literally) make a production out of it. He stage-managed it, starting with his walk out of Walter Reed:

“How many of your staff are sick?” and “Do you think you may be a super-spreader, Mr. President?” Peak 2020. But that wasn’t all. Mustard Mussolini also decided to do a little photo-op on the White House balcony like he was Evita Peron. Don’t cry for me, neo-Nazis/the truth is I never left you/all through my rona/my mad existence/I kept my promise/don’t keep your distance.

Yes, he took off his mask (he’s still hella infectious) and began gasping for air on the balcony too:

And after that, *someone* tweeted this:

“Don’t let it dominate you, don’t be afraid of it…” This is so dangerous. He’s literally going to kill thousands of people with that advice.

He does not look good and I hope he makes it until after the election. I want him to see total humiliation before the devil takes him back.

Hahah siera FTW. Also, 1/3 of covid patients displayed altered mental state.

    • minx says:

New CNN poll shows Biden’s lead expanding to 16 points, largest so far.

      • AnnaKist says:

Trouble is minx, like everywhere else, the only poll that counts is on Election Day. Last year, every poll tipped a Labor Party win for Australia. They were unbeatable. Yet, come that day in May, the conservative (“Liberal Party”, I kid you not) absolutely trounced Labor. They seem to have pulled together since then, but I think they are still reeling from that unexpected and stunning defeat. I wanted to vomit when our Prime Minister told how he had wished “our great friend and ally, and the First Lady, a speedy and full recovery.”

      • minx says:

Yes, I don’t think there will be much complacency this time around. Early voting is through the roof. And Trump just nixed a stimulus bill “until after the election”—he knows he’s losing and gave a middle finger to the populace.

    • snappyfish says:

I see Gaspy McFascist didn’t learn his lesson. I can’t even with this horrible stooge of a man. I do want him to get better because want him to die in prison. After a long long life there.

Please Vote. Ignore the polls. Vote him out. Save our Republic. Vote in honor all those who died and can’t, for RBG, for your family, for the return of decent civility and so those horrible racist, misogynistic bigots will slither back under the rock from whence they came.

      • Chrissy says:

Gaspy McFascist? OMG, so great! Thanks for the laugh.

      • LahdidahBaby says:

Snappyfish, you made my night with that Gaspy McFascist! I was thinking of him, up on that balcony like Evita, as Covita!

    • Bettyrose says:

That only works if he loses. At this point I’m terrified he’s going to win and drop dead in office.

    • joy gilbert says:

also, douglas McCarthy who wasn’t satified with his first strides back on the beach to phillipines so he had a do over,

    • Tiffany :) says:

He is struggling for air on the balcony. At one point he grimaces, and it reminds me of people with COVID who say it can feel like you have needles in your lungs. He’s lying to the American people for vanity reasons and he’s endangering so many people.

I did read on CNN that “Trump’s Covid-19 diagnosis inspired almost a quarter more Americans to wear a mask, a new poll finds”, so maybe some people have finally stopped listening to him.

    • SomeChick says:

Somehow, I don’t think the devil is in a very big hurry to have him.

      My wishes:
      – he survives but suffers
      – he loses the election
      – Amy Covid Barrett is not confirmed
      – we get a decent, intelligent, fair judge who knows the law
      – he is hauled into court for his many many illegal acts
      – he spends the rest of his miserable life in an orange jumpsuit
      – they prosecute the other evildoers and he watches them go down

    • Ms Lib says:

      Yes, yes, yes!

  2. Becks1 says:

I wish none of the stations had covered it. He does these things because he knows they are going to dominate the news cycle. I wish there had been the photographers there, but the stations didn’t air anything unless something happened (something newsworthy beyond just this photo stunt.)

he definitely was having trouble breathing, so I don’t know why he’s talking about the campaign trail when he’s sick. he’s setting a horrible example and he’s going to get more people killed.

(Well, I should say I know why he’s going out on the campaign trail. there were a few stories yesterday and Sunday about how Biden had the battleground states all to himself while Trump was in the hospital.)

    • Arpeggi says:

Agreed, they should have ignored it and use the images of him gasping for air when it’d be mentioned during the evening news.

    • Noodle says:

From all accounts, he hasn’t even reached the worst stage of the illness yet. Anecdotally, Days 7-10 are the worst of it. Saying it’s no big deal at day 5-6 is premature.

    • Tiffany :) says:

Honestly, I’m kind of glad they covered it. If we just had his videos, I would think he was doing much better. But his balcony performance showed that he is struggling to breathe. He’s pretending to be well.

      • Ponchorella says:

Also, you can tell he wants to grab the handrail so badly when leaving Walter Reed, but instead keeps patting it really oddly the entire way down.

  3. Darla says:

He is going to kill thousands from that one sentence alone. I am seriously considering going back into NY Pause days, where I saw no one, had food delivered, and stayed shut in. I am surrounded by trumpers where I live, and now, well, now they are lethal biological weapons. I really don’t know what I’m gonna do if Biden doesn’t take office. I say it that way because he WILL be elected. I will tell you something though; I still have my hopes. But I’m gonna keep those private. I don’t think the voluptuous lady sang yet.

    • Mac says:

I have barely left the house since March 12. When I do, I always wear a mask. I haven’t seen my mom in months, when winter comes we won’t be able to hang out with friends outside. I’ve put my entire life on hold because I am trying to be part of the solutions and this MFer walks out of the hospital and basically says it’s no big deal. We are going to be isolation forever.

  4. Digital Unicorn says:

Even under all the makeup he still looks pale and it was very very clear he was struggling to breathe properly. Not only is he going to continue to infect others, he is hindering his recovery and won’t likely make it to election day. If he drops before election day, the cultists will make him a martyr to the cause. Plus there is NO WAY he will do any more debates – the only thing he is good for is cheap photo and video stunts from the WH.

He knows he hasn’t got the sympathy vote – i was reading that many republican voters felt he didn’t take it seriously. The only sympathy he is getting is from his hard core cultists.

  5. Seraphina says:

Everything about this man is a lie. He is a performer. I put nothing, no antic, to be beneath him. If he is sick, I wish him well but the message he is sending is dangerous. I know medical staff that are hard core right conservatives and they are taking COVID seriously, urging friends to wear masks and get vaccinated for the flu. POTUS is sending bad messages about how to handle this and election day can’t come soon enough.

  6. Josie Bean says:

Trump has the audacity to say “Don’t be afraid of COVID”!!! What the hell is he talking about – he just spend 3 days in hospital!!! That is enough to scare the hell out of most Americans considering the cost and time away from work. Moreover, he has been taking drugs that are not even available to the American public. The guy is losing it.

    • Lanie says:

And after all those experimental treatments, he’s still clearly struggling to breathe. He’s got Covid pneumonia.

      • BL says:

I wonder if it’s that he’s got pneumonia- or he can’t walk up a flight of stairs without gasping for air?

      • Christin says:

The doctor comments about lungs being “as expected” is being construed as having pneumonia.

Herman C thought he was doing better and beating it, too. This disease is a hard marathon, not an easy sprint – especially for a large, elderly man with a mostly unknown health history.

    • Esmom says:

Yes, it’s tone deaf and irresponsible af. His cluelessness is astounding and his staff are inept to allow this to happen this way.

If only he put as much thought into doing the job of POTUS as he does into playing one. Although I guess we should be grateful that he hasn’t actively tried to destroy more.

  7. original_kellybean says:

I see he sprayed himself with some fresh pumpkin juice. How Americans ever elected that prick as president, I will never understand. It’s been almost 4 years and I am still dumbfounded that he is president.

    • Chaine says:

Hey! Don’t insult pumpkins like that!

    • Giddy says:

I sincerely hope he applied his makeup himself. Otherwise some staffer had to stand close enough to apply it, and they would have gotten his Covid laden breath right in their face. God bless all the housekeepers, waiters, and other WH staff who have to take care of this sick, mad man. But I hope he demands that McConnell, Lindsay Graham, etc. come meet with him.

    • Anna says:

@original_kellybean White Americans voted for him, across class demographics. Let’s be clear. And white women voted overwhelming against their own interests (other than that biggie: the maintenance of their white supremacy) at what was it 54% for him? So yeah, let’s be super-clear about which “Americans” supports/supported him.

  8. Eleonor says:

I have a question: this man health is compromised, he is putting himself and all the WH staffers at risk and there is not even a law that remove him temporary from the office ?

    • Becks1 says:

There is something called the Twenty Fifth Amendment. It provides for the chain of command if the president cant discharge his duties. The relevant part for this is:

“Whenever the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive departments or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall immediately assume the powers and duties of the office as Acting President.”

That basically means that if the VP and enough acting cabinet members sign off on the idea that the President is not able to serve, the VP takes control (after some back and forth and it could go to congress). That’s not going to happen here because they are spineless cowards.

    • Lightpurple says:

Pence and a majority of the Cabinet have to invoke the law and they need to be asked at every opportunity why they have not done so. A president does have the right to challenge an invocation of the 25th Amendment but it if up to Congress to decide, based on medical evidence presented. It has never been invoked involuntarily so it is untested.

  9. Sophie says:

He’s all puffy from the steroids they’ve pumped into him. It makes him look more disgusting than usual.

  10. FancyPants says:

I don’t hope he dies. I want him to be absolutely and utterly humiliated in the election and live with that crushing rejection for the rest of his life. Unfortunately, he seems to be following Herman Cain’s timeline (in which Cain also claimed to be feeling better and that his doctors were telling him he was doing great), which would put him dead on November 6. Three days would simply not be fair enough time for me to gloat at his epic failure.

    • Bettyrose says:

Ohgawd. The election results might not even be confirmed by Nov. 6th. I’m so scared we’re going to end up with Pence as an unelected president for a full four year term.

      • FancyPants says:

Nope- if there’s no clear winner by election day, the Speaker of the House assumes the Presidency.

      • Bettyrose says:

You mean if there’s no clear winner by the inauguration. There doesn’t have to be a clear winner on election day. It’s fine if it takes a day or two to account for all ballots, as long as there’s nothing preventing a fair count..as happened in 2000. At that point, it went to the SC who appointed W. (The Speaker was never acting president because it was still rightfully Clinton’s term).

Nevertheless, if Trump wins by votes or SC appointment, and then dies, Pence will be our unelected president for four years. So the thought of Trump dying on Nov. 6th (rather than say Nov. 2nd) is terrifying.

      • FancyPants says:

Yes, I meant to say inauguration day. Let’s all just hope that it isn’t even close and there’s no way for them to steal the election [again].

    • Lizzie says:

He will never be humiliated or admit defeat. If he loses in a landslide he will yell ‘rigged’ until his dying day.

      • FancyPants says:

He will, but not until after he retreats to Maralago for a long time to nurse his narcissitic injuries… or goes to jail where they confiscate his phone! I can dream!

  11. Lenn says:

I’m sort of fascinated by my own wish for someone else to suffer so badly. I am constantly checking the news, hoping he has gotten sicker.

    • Aang says:

Lenn I’m right there with you. The diagnosis gives me hope.

    • Doodle says:

Lenn, I’m glad I’m not the only one! 😂

      • antipodean says:

I make it a life policy never to wish anybody ill, but I have to confess that the fire of a thousand suns does not even come close to how much contempt I feel for this person. If I let it get to me I can feel physically ill as to how this loathsome imposter, and his cronies, has hijacked the highest office in the land, and gloatingly bathes in the privileges that office affords. I have visions in my head of the fate of Benito Mussolini, and how the populace dealt with his traitorous perfidy! Too much, or not enough? It is the only thought that gives me some comfort at this time.
I saw a wonderful gif of RBG dressed as Lady Oleanna saying “Tell Donald, I want him to know it was me”. It gave me a much needed laff, from her mouth to the gods’ ears!

    • Bettyrose says:

I think we’re all agreed that it’s never okay to wish someone ill or dead, but the longer he’s able to keep up the pretense of not being sick, the more dangerous his cult’s no-mask indoor crowding behavior will be. It’s a weird conundrum. Only a visibly sick Trump will the message across that this is serious. What’s a decent human to do?

      • Christin says:

And this message is being put out there just as flu season begins – a timeframe that was already of great concern. It’s reckless and terrible.

But “it is what it is”, right?

    • lucy2 says:

Me too. I want him to survive. But I want him to do so experiencing what he was so dismissive of and ignored, for his own ego. More people have suffered and died than needed to, because he is utterly incompetent and cruel.

    • schmootc says:

I’ve been checking the news since this weekend myself. Keep expecting to see that he’s gotten worse. Do I kind of feel like a ghoul? Yes. And slightly ashamed. But also justified at the same time. It’s a weird brew of emotions.

    • fluffy_bunny says:

      Me too.

  12. Sayrah says:

Hate hate hate this pos. I donated to Biden for the 7th time last night and I’ve never donated like this before.

  13. Lightpurple says:

Respiratory failure can come on very, very quickly. Once the lungs shut down, other organs follow very quickly. I watched it happen to my Dad twice. One minute he was telling me he wanted to leave the hospital and the next, the tech was pulling in the heavy machinery while the doctor explained the options to me while I was on top of him doing chest compressions and telling him to breathe. The second time, he walked to the ambulance while arguing with me that he was fine and didn’t need to go to the hospital. By the time, we got there, 5 minutes later, he was in full respiratory failure , other organs were shutting down, and his extremities were turning blue. He came through both times, weaker each time. Most aren’t as lucky as my Dad.

    • Chris says:

Yeah other people have pointed out that Herman Cain seemed to improve and then suddenly took a turn for the worse and passed. Trump is really playing with fire here and should be in a hospital resting. Like you said, respiratory failure can come on quickly and is extremely dangerous. I think trump and his followers still don’t accept how dangerous this virus actually is and/or they think trump is superhuman. I’m glad your father is okay after those incidents.

      • mynameispearl says:

I bet the Whitehouse got equipped with a full intensive care unit during Trumps stay in Walter Reed. Guaranteed he went straight into a hospital bed in the Whitehouse, Ivanka is probably tweeting out all caps nonsense pretending to be him.

      • Lightpurple says:

Thanks, Chris. He’s gone now. He had cancer and Parkinson’s and cardiac issues. But the first time that happened, he only had the flu, nothing more, and he didn’t know he had the flu. He thought he had the beginnings of a cold, took some aspirin, and walked 6 blocks to work. When he got there, he really didn’t feel well or look well, and his boss said she would drive him home. While she was getting her car, he collapsed and an ambulance was called. His boss called my mom and I took her to the ER. When we arrived, he was on oxygen, sitting up and answering the doctor’s questions about symptoms. He was arguing with me that it was too much of a fuss and he wanted us to take him home. Then everything crashed. It was incredibly scary. He spent 3 days on a vent that time.

      • Lizzie says:

So sorry for your loss Lightpurple.

  14. Cate says:

Now he’s saying he will be at the debate next week! What are the odds of him getting a genuine negative test by next Wednesday? Pretty low, I’m guessing. The debate commission needs to either refuse to have it or turn it to virtual. Personally I’d be somewhat in favor of virtual, so everyone gets an unedited view of him—-I’m guessing it will show a lot more coughing and gasping for breath.

  15. Edna says:

We truly are living in the Twilight Zone. I hope people are just as mad as I am about this shit show circus. This Orange 🤡 pays no taxes, uses our tax dollars to get the best of healthcare at no personal cost and enriches himself cause he’s invested in the drug companies that supplied the experimental drugs used to treat him. When will this nightmare end.

  16. Stacy Dresden says:

Every time Ronald Dump does something that shocks or disgusts you, donate to a blue cause of your choosing.

  17. Aang says:

I think are going to keep giving him steroids to keep him mobile till the election. Then if he collapses Pence can pardon him and install Ivanka as VP.

  18. Sarah says:

He also has access to healthcare so many Americans can’t even dream of, let’s not forget that. Even if he is feeling better (debatable given his lies, possibly temporary if it is true), many of his cultists wouldn’t have anything like this if they get infected.

Seriously, universal healthcare! You pay your taxes and everyone benefits.

    • Also Ali says:

      +1 infinity

There is a decided lack of humanity and common sense in too many Americans as demonstrated by the lack of a loud DEMAND for access to healthcare for everyone as we all try and survive this pandemic.

  19. HK9 says:

Trump is definitely gasping for air there. You know how I know?? I do the same thing when I have to climb three fights of stairs at work! 🙂 Because of the corrupt nature of this administration I don’t think we’re ever going to know the truth about what’s going on with him though.

  20. Lucy2 says:

All those drugs and steroids, and he is still gasping for breath. I’ll be shocked if he’s not back in the hospital within the week. So many people shared their experience with losing loved ones to Covid, and it reflected that – felt better at first, then suddenly much much worse and then gone. My friend’s stepdad was one of them.
I hope he stays alive until the election, I want him to see himself lose huge, and don’t want the chaos of what it would do to the election.

    • Chris says:

Yeah I posted this elsewhere, but Herman cain was the same. He definitely has access to healthcare that regular people could only dream of but they can’t work miracles. They could pump him full of medications, but he’s still an elderly man in poor health. He’s never going to fully recover from this.

  21. Lindy says:

Let’s assume for a minute that he is still alive and kicking and wants to do the next debate. NOOOO! There is no plexiglass shield, no mask, no bleach wipes that would make me feel ok about Biden exposing himself to Covid.

Biden and his team better say no effing way to that. I don’t want Kamala doing this debate with Pence either. We cannot have them getting sick. Cannot.

  22. Lemons says:

Whether he is gasping for air or trying to hold back a hacking cough, this guy should be in a bunker. He’s looking more and more like patient 0 at the White House and it’s disgusting that his cult is still supporting him.

  23. Also Ali says:

Why isn’t his first priority putting federal dollars into more testing and more production of the treatments he received so that his citizens can “not be afraid of covid”? Has anyone in the media asked him about that?

  24. KellySunshine says:

I call complete and utter bullocks to him claiming that he’s feeling so great. He’s not even a full week in to his diagnosis. I had the virus back in August (thanks to a careless brother who spread it to both our 70 year old mother and to myself) I felt like crap for a good 10 days, the fever at first, then the utter exhaustion, and coughing. I literally couldn’t take a full deep breath of air without having a coughing fit. And I’m 31 years younger than your president, and did not require any hospitalisation like he did. It ENRAGES me that he’s telling people that it isn’t a big deal and maybe he’s immune? WtF! His attitude is going to kill god only knows how many of his minions, because their supreme leader is lying through his teeth and saying that the virus is no big deal. I truly don’t believe he’s recovered, and he’s being a selfish moron for endangering so many people for these photo-ops.

    • Cate says:

Agree. I had a very mild case and still had noticeable respiratory symptoms+tiredness for about two weeks. I really can’t believe someone nearly 2x my age who is clearly displaying symptoms is actually doing “great” right now. That 100% steroids and bluster talking.

    • joy gilbert says:

he feels good because they pumped him full of steroids. wait until that medicine wears off,

    • Grant says:

My sister, a pediatric nurse, and her husband, an NFL football player, both caught COVID about a month and a half ago. My sister’s case was relatively mild. Doctors think it was because she had so many micro-exposures from working on the frontlines in the hospital during this pandemic that her body naturally built up an immunity. Her 6’4, 250 lb husband, however, was LAID UP for two weeks. He said it was the sickest he has ever been and he still can’t completely smell or taste eight weeks later. This virus is not to be trifled with!

  25. C-Shell says:

There’s a lot of interesting, believable tweeting going on today that 1) as is generally the case, Trump’s pupils are blown even in bright light (“coke/Adderall eyes”), and 2) he demanded release from Walter Reed because he couldn’t get his fixes there. The euphoria he’s getting from the dex isn’t doing it for him.

    He’s a homicidal maniac.

    • LarkspurLMM says:

I believe it! He shat all over the reputation of Walter Reed Hospital and it’s disgusting! Outrageous that this is the Untied States of America 2020!!

Be safe everyone – take care of yourselves cause no one else is going to!

    • FancyPants says:

It’s common for junkies to discharge themselves AMA- too many people watching in the hospital.

    • Lizzie says:

      I hadn’t thought of this.

  26. Anna says:

Hi, I have to ask, for someone who been watching the polls like a hawk over the past few months and from someone who lives oversea. Did Trump COVID situation change anything within on who people will vote for? I mean are people mind made up already? Was there any poll different when he got sick? I’m hoping Biden is still leading and Trump doesn’t get any sympathy votes from this.

    • LW says:

One or two polls I’ve seen showed no sympathy bounce, but it’s a bit early to tell. Those polls will be coming out this week.

    • Faithmobile says:

Anna, polls indicate the only sympathy is from his base of 30%. Overall republicans went from 50% concern for Covid to 70% after his diagnosis and independents went up to 80% concern from 60%. Democrat’s were unmoved at 86% concern for catching Covid. 2/3 of Americans think it’s his own fault for contracting the virus. In other presidential health scares there has been a bump in support but he is who he is and Americans are tired of the drama. Mark my words October an November will be very difficult for this man’s health, politically and physically.

    • Tiffany :) says:

Since the debate, Biden is gaining rapidly. New CNN national poll shows Biden 57% to Trump 41%. Per the tweet from Kyle Griffin, the poll was taken totally after the debate, and mostly after Trump was diagnosed.

  27. Mamasan says:

I have to be honest, watching him return to the White House yesterday, my heart sank. This guy has proven there are no consequences for not doing the right thing. Everything that has been thrown at him hasn’t stuck. I’m so mad. I didn’t vote for him in 2016 and I didn’t vote for him this time.
But no one is taking him to task. No one. If he wins, its over for America. If we think he’s bad now, what will the next 4 years look like?
I pray Biden wins. I pray we can flip the Senate. I want America to be whole again. Because right now, I’m afraid.

  28. Rapunzel says:

His campaign claims this infection will help him beat Biden… because it’s given him “firsthand experience Biden doesn’t have”

He also said he got this cause he “led from the front” like he got this because he is such a good leader.

Today, he’s saying we need to “learn to live” with COVID-19, and compared it to the flu.

    This is literal insanity.

  29. MsIam says:

Well while he was still in the hospital his campaign put out ads on YouTube that showed him giving comments at Walter Reed and proclaiming him a “Warrior !”. So I guess that is going to be his campaign theme for the next few weeks. Instead of showing how irresponsible he is to not take precautions, this shows how strong and invincible Trump is. I also believe he will use this to hook the wavering religious folk into believing that “God has favored Trump by letting him beat COVID!” It’s going to be a long, long next few weeks. Sigh……

  30. Leskat says:

There’s 2 telling and scary moments between these videos. One is him walking down the stairs and doing this little tapping on the stair railing, as if he is trying to figure out where it is but doesn’t want to actually hold it and the second is him struggling to breathe, shoulders heaving, sucking in for air. He’s in a bad way.

    • Lightpurple says:

The hand tapping on railings is a common move for him now. My Great Aunt does that too. She’s in her 90s with mild dementia.

  31. Rapunzel says:

They’re also selling a “trump beat covid” commemorative coin in the WH gift shop. For $100.

    Is this real life?

  32. Christin says:

Last night, Jim Acosta called the balcony performance “Covita”, so the lyrics are appropriate.

CNN’s AM host called it Orange’s version of Sunset Boulevard (“ready for my closeup”). Both called out the dangerous message and behavior.

One medical panelist thinks he has a “moderate” case, and most agree he is likely infectious to others and could be for more than 30 days! There is still so much unknown about this virus shedding, but we do know that masks and distancing matter. Flaunting those basic safety measures led to this outcome.

I wish the media would ignore him now and get back to healthcare, jobs, and other issues that matter to the regular citizens.

Yup. How many of us said he was going to rule the ‘China virus.’ He wins no matter what.

  34. pottymouth pup says:

is it wrong that I’m hoping there’s a huge wave of Trump supporters who get just sick enough by the end of the month through election day that they actually can’t get out to vote in person (I just want to hear them complain how unfair that Biden won “because” they were too sick to vote in person

Also, what’s gonna happen when a bunch of them who are obviously sick show up to polls? I just have images of them getting extra belligerent & coughing in people’s faces

I don’t want to wish anyone ill but then I remember this f$&@er has babies and children locked in cages and it assuages my guilt.

    • Lizzie says:

I look at it as he asked to get covid and then he did. Although many wished it in him he did it to himself. It’s like he stood outside in a thunderstorm holding up a big old tv antenna.

  36. Lizzie says:

I knew the first time the first doctor gave a live update that he would be seething because he wasn’t in front of the cameras. He started plotting how to do it that moment. First it was the car ride and when that bombed online he staged Evita on the balcony. He will be filmed every single day from now to the election.

  37. mikunda says:

So shameless. He has the best healthcare available to him. The best drug cocktails and top doctors. Even though he pays 10 times less taxes than I do.

Whereas us, the people who live honest lives and pay our taxes do not even have regular access to tests. God knows how much money all this care and cocktails cost and we will never have this access.

And he has the nerve to tell me to not be afraid – will he personally see to it that I have his level of care if I get sick and on my knees? No, he will se, well, some stay, some go.

    Shame on him.

  38. RIP Eddie Van Halen says:

Less than a month to go before election day. Thank the non-gender specific diety of your choice that this chapter is almost over. I’m sick of it. All of it.

  39. Brucie Izard says:

I love the way you tell it like it is—thanks so much for your coverage. I really depend on it and have been a faithful reader since 2008!!! SO keep on with your unique voice and unadulterated and perceptive opinion!

  40. Nic919 says:

I think that little covita peron act will anger even more people because those who have experienced death or illness due to covid are from all parts of the country and all parties.

He doesn’t look well though and the crash from steroids hasn’t even started yet.

  41. NotSoSocialButterfly says:

“…assume he’ll be treated by a crack team of drunk Navy doctors in the White House baby bunker as Mother’s Husband quietly eats his fruit cup in the corner.”

    Simultaneously tickled and depressed AF.

    Thanks, K.

    • Vernie says:

Agreed, Butterfly! I have consumed a staggering amount of news and social media since Friday and this clever post is the best thing I have seen in days. Kaiser, you are a beacon in dark times.
