So much for Kirk being pro-life…

I stand in awe of how you always find the most perfect picture for the headings.

  3. Nicole says:

This angers me so much. I have friends that are nurses in LA area suburban hospitals that are giving me the deets. It’s not good. Hospitals are turning away ambulances and the nurses are overworked. People are flouting basic public safety in the name of some BS righteousness. It’s beyond annoying.

    • YatterOn says:

@ Nicole, that is what angers me the most. These people ignore the science and the rules, as they don’t apply to them, but then jam the hospitals and the death rates. They travel for Thanksgiving, openly walk around with NO masks but are the first ones screaming at the health care workers as they spew profanity and insults to them. I think churches should be fined for stupid sh#t like this! Any organization that participates or encourages mass gatherings, must mandate ALL to wear a mask. And if they do not comply, fine them thousands of dollars!! It is not restricting freedom of religion when you are singing carols!!

    • Miranda says:

My stepmom, an ER doctor, was just saying the other night that, when our city (NYC) was going through absolute hell at the beginning of the pandemic, many overworked doctors and nurses tried to comfort themselves with the hope that the sacrifices they were making at that moment might convince the rest of the country to take COVID more seriously. We were basically having a 9/11 every day for a while, and it was difficult to imagine how it could get worse. Now those numbers are often surpassed on a daily basis in multiple states, places where people have room to stretch out and don’t live stacked on top of each other like we do. And then it circled back around, and New Yorkers are becoming more and more complacent because, hey, if no one else is gonna bother to follow the rules, why should we? It’s so discouraging.

  4. Monika says:

Where is Tom Cruise when you need him!! 😁 He will kick some serious a*ss in that Kirk event!! LOL!!

    • Esmom says:

LMAO. Seriously. Here is what I don’t get…they keep talking about “not living in fear.” Yet these are the same people who can’t go to Wal-Mart without strapping on an assault weapon. Seems like that is living in a considerable amount of fear.

      • Godwina says:

Yeah, Esmom, those studies that neurologically show how conservatives’ brains’ fear centres are LIT compared to progressives’ brains just keep making more and more sense with each passing year, you know?

    • YatterOn says:

@ Monika, he is being reprogrammed!!

  5. Ariel says:

He wants Christians to meet with god- the sooner the better!

  6. Jennifer says:

I get conflicted when I see Kirk acting like a tool because he looks so much like one of my brothers. I feel like I’m hating on a brother haha. I saw a comment on another article regarding this (on DListed) that I wholeheartedly agree with: “I love how hypocrites like Kirk Christian don’t want the government telling them what to do with their bodies during a worldwide pandemic but they are totally cool with the government telling me what I can and cannot do with my body as a woman (birth control, abortion, healthcare).”

  7. Miranda says:

Ohhh, so THAT’S why he doesn’t accept evolution: he’s still on the monkeys’ intellectual level himself.

No, sorry, that’s quite unfair. At least some species of ape have shown that they’re capable of compassion and empathy.

  8. Sara says:

Saw a very recent pic of Kirk and he looks terrible. I’ve gotta wonder if he caught Covid from his stupid “I’m such a victim” gathering. I just remember his “Saddest Birthday Party Ever” pics starring sad Subway sandwiches and feel a tinge better but not really.

  9. Nimbolicious says:

That event took place near my home, which is across the street from a bar and grill that has also chosen to defy shut-down orders. All this against the backdrop of new mass-fatality protocols in California (including extra body bags and the opening of field hospitals) and an alarming shortage of medical personnel.

    Un-f$&@ing-believeable.

    • mander says:

Nimbolicious, you must live by me. I can NOT believe the danger he spread through our community. I seriously hate this guy. Anything for PR with him.

  10. Michael says:

I wish we had a list of every name at these events and when they get sick they have to wait until every other person who obeyed the rules is attended to

    • helonearth says:

I would go one further and state no treatment for you if you have attended an event like this.

  11. Tiffany says:

Steve Schmidt is not and will never be a Democrat. This is just another grift because Michael Steele outed what they plans were for the money they got for the biggest grift of all, The Lincoln Project.

I just don’t trust the dude who thought Sarah Palin would be a viable VP and possible POTUS.

    • Lanie says:

Me neither. Steve Schmidt is a scumbag. I’m tired of conservatives who used racism and xenophobia to rally their base acting shocked and appalled that Trump is a thing.

And acting like they aren’t going to try to shoehorn in a Mitt Romney type for POTUS with that Lincoln Project money: the same type of GOP bigot robber barron as Trump, but with a dog whistle instead of a bullhorn.

  12. Christin says:

In person “anything” is a higher risk activity, and singing puts it at an even higher level. This has been known since the early weeks of the pandemic when there was a choir practice super spreader.

Our area has mobile morgues outside two hospitals, which are at 95 percent or more ICU capacity. Yet there are still people talking about holiday gatherings and going to in-person church activities. I pass by a church with a sign stating “faith over fear”. I cannot understand it. I know that if I go stand in a roadway, my personal belief and faith will not keep me from being hit by a vehicle. It’s like a peer pressure situation to ignore a serious threat.

Some of the same people who insist on freedom, faith over fear, etc., have concealed carry permits. The dissonance is mind boggling.

  13. Annaloo. says:

For a party that CLAIMED to be about the economy and business, the Republicans have done EVERYTHING to sabotage consumer confidence of safety by not wearing masks, adhering to social distancing, etc because “muh rights”

    The evangelical wing is TERRIBLE
The hard core bigot libertarians jonesing for a fight are right up there with them
BUT THE WORST are the yellow bellied cowards and/or sycophants of Donald Trump that so need a hero to have any direction in their miserable lives. Sometimes, when secession comes up from these idiots, I’m thinking, “FINE BY ME: LEAVE AND TAKE COVID WITH YOU”

  14. Liz version 700 says:

Kurt Cameron is such a jerk. Of course hosted a super spreader event of course he did. Gahhhhhh

  15. GuestwithCat says:

I’m proud to be a Christian. But Jesus never said to be a stupid Covidiot. If he wants to do the Lord’s work, contribute or volunteer with a food bank. My husband and daughter and I are struggling with our health so we can’t do the boots on the ground work so we donate every week and did at-home work.

We mask up and stay indoors. We pray for everyone who is sick or struggling. And we support the politicians who are trying to get practical help out to the people.

What good is it to hold a rally without masks? These people are blessed with health and energy and means, yet go stand out there like fools and ignore the wisdom and science that’s a gift to us from our innate abilities and hard work.

Please don’t judge all Christians by this fool and his ilk. We aren’t all determined to get in your business or ignore science and medicine. In fact, most of us are just quietly doing our part trying to flatten the curve and alleviate misery with our non-Christian brethren. I don’t personally have any friends of any faiths testing our respective deities’ patience like this. Shaking my head here. Sigh.

    • Liz version 700 says:

Correct! Jesus often preached common sense. Treat others as you want to be treated. Giving people Covid is a huge violation of the Golden Rule

  16. shanaynay says:

I guess arrogance and being a jerk runs through the family (referring to him and his sister, Candace.)

  17. NYStateofMind says:

He’s been circling the drain for decades. Hopefully he gets sick and then we will see if God helps him get better.

  18. GuestwithCat says:

As I scrolled through the main page of this site I see in a line Kirk Cameron, Tom Cruise and Tucker Carlson. This site is really trying to help me with my diet. It’s working. I’ve lost my appetite for dinner.

  19. FYI says:

Cameron said it was a “Christmas protest.” Uh, dude. That’s not what Christmas is about. Ask the baby Jesus.

  20. Godwina says:

I see KC finally caught the crazy preacher eyes I hate so much in a certain type of rightwing middle-aged male nut job. Why do so many of them have those eyes?????
