Donald Trump tried to order Georgia officials to ‘find’ 11,000 votes for him

Trump returns White House Cutting Short His Vacation

Since November, Donald Trump has been spinning unhinged conspiracy theories on Twitter, in speeches and in private meetings with staff, always about how he was “cheated” or defrauded out of electoral victory. Trump is such a Hector Projector, I think we can safely assume that he had big plans to defraud his way to “electoral victory,” only to see his plans disrupted significantly by the move towards absentee ballots (a paper trail of documentation) and historic turnout. So all of the sh-tty conspiracies he’s projecting onto Democrats are probably the plans he had to win. Anyway, since the election, we also know that Trump has been personally calling up various state officials in Georgia, Michigan, Arizona and Pennsylvania to get them to somehow reject the will of their states’ voters and simply overturn the election results. Like, those calls and meetings have been happening for two solid months. And finally, someone bothered to record one of those calls.

President Trump urged fellow Republican Brad Raffensperger, the Georgia secretary of state, to “find” enough votes to overturn his defeat in an extraordinary one-hour phone call Saturday that legal scholars described as a flagrant abuse of power and a potential criminal act.

The Washington Post obtained a recording of the conversation in which Trump alternately berated Raffensperger, tried to flatter him, begged him to act and threatened him with vague criminal consequences if the secretary of state refused to pursue his false claims, at one point warning that Raffensperger was taking “a big risk.”

Throughout the call, Raffensperger and his office’s general counsel rejected Trump’s assertions, explaining that the president is relying on debunked conspiracy theories and that President-elect Joe Biden’s 11,779-vote victory in Georgia was fair and accurate.

Trump dismissed their arguments.

“The people of Georgia are angry, the people of the country are angry,” he said. “And there’s nothing wrong with saying, you know, that you’ve recalculated.”

Raffensperger responded: “Well, Mr. President, the challenge that you have is, the data you have is wrong.” At another point, Trump said: “So look. All I want to do is this. I just want to find 11,780 votes, which is one more than we have. Because we won the state.” He later added: “So what are we going to do here, folks? I only need 11,000 votes. Fellas, I need 11,000 votes. Give me a break.”

The rambling and at times incoherent conversation offered a remarkable glimpse of how consumed and desperate the president remains about his loss, unwilling or unable to let the matter go and still asserting he can reverse the results in enough battleground states to remain in office.

[From WaPo]

I heard someone describe Trump as surprisingly lucid-sounding on the call, but… I don’t know. He clearly had notes in front of him and talking points he was trying to hit, which is even scarier to me, the fact that his staff presumably wrote out a document for him to reference as he committed multiple ratf–king crimes. Something else that’s sort of stupid-funny-crazy: this f–king call happened on JANUARY 2. Like, as of Saturday, Donald Trump is still sitting in his diaper, calling up state election officials and demanding that they “find” 11,000 votes for him.

You can hear the full hour-long call at WaPo. They posted a damning clip on YouTube:

Well, the only way American will ever be able to heal is the for Dems to retake Senate.

And, charge those 140 House representatives plus 11 Senators for sedition and remove them from their seats.

If they claim the presidential election was fraud then their own seats (which was on the same ballots) were fraudulent as well.

    • Snuffles says:

At this point, I think charges of sedition have to be brought. It’s one thing to whine and go through proper legal channels (no matter how week the case), but this openly defying the system of government that we fought a REVOLUTION for, can’t go unchecked. And some are advocating for violence or seceding to start their own country!!

They NEED to be slapped down HARD. And tried for ALL of their crimes. I mean, this has to be treated like Nazi War crimes until every last one is tried and put away.

      • Mac says:

A failed coup is still an attempted coup. They should be charged accordingly.

      • Seraphina says:

Actually, a successful coup can’t be brought up on charges – they are the party in control. At the very least, because I doubt we will see these clowns brought to court, they all need to be stripped of their duties and never allowed to hold office again or work for federal or state jobs.

    • Esmom says:

Republican House Rep Chip Roy tried to move that Reps-elect from those states not be seated yesterday because of that very reason. It failed but it was nice to see someone acknowledge that contradiction in such a public way. Between him and letter from the former defense secretaries, I feel like we now have a few solid counterpoints to what Ted Cruz and his gang plan to do on Wed. Not that it will convince any MAGAs to move on, sadly.

      • Rapunzel says:

Esmom- they technically are only talking. They haven’t done anything yet- they haven’t officially objected. My hope is that after they turn Wednesday’s certification into a nightmare, they will face punishment. Frankly, after this tape, there will be even more reason to punish objectors.

And I think lots of things will change if the Dems take the Senate.

Give ’em lots of rope to hang themselves is a fine play for now.

    • denisemich says:

so there is not really a 2 party system. We have the democrats and the wackjobs go to the republicans.

If we could support a more distributed voting system we could really see what Americans are voting for perhaps: Evangelical, Hate for all not white and straight, Fascism, Keeping your Money, Constitutional values, Democracy…

I want to understand the Trump vote. They are trying to dismantle America and make it worse we need to understand the triggers better.

  2. Snuffles says:

January 20th, 12:01 PM, put the handcuffs on him and drag him out of the White House on line TV.

    • Izzy says:

And make it a worldwide pay-per-view event so we can put a dent in the national debt.

      • BearcatLawyer says:

Many people around the world would gladly pay for this! Heck, some would probably donate big bucks to ensure everyone can see it!

      • HoofRat says:

I’m not even American and I’d re-mortgage the house to pay for this!

      • AnnaKist says:

I’m in Australia. I’m a tight-arse, but would pay to see that. Just a couple more weeks…
She’s holding his hand. And looking as orange as he once did. I used to think she’d file for divorce any day now, but now believe they’re made for each other.

      • Joanna says:

        Thanks guys for the laugh!

    • cassandra says:

I really didn’t think it would come to that two months ago, but now….

I’m so scared people are going to die/be seriously hurt in the next few weeks.

      • Dl says:

That is my fear as well. I hope people with intelligence are keeping a close eye on this man until he is gone😕

      • Tiffany :) says:

I’m very scared about what is going to happen in DC on the 6th. I am also worried about my own safety in a notoriously “liberal” area that has been targeted by right wing extremists.

  3. Darla says:

This is going to be the most awful week, and really the most awful 17 days. My stomach is killing me, nervous pains.

    Ted Cruz should be arrested.

    • Noodle says:

@darla, me too. The more I read, the more I mourn for our country.

    • Esmom says:

I hear you. I barely slept on Sat night and my anxiety is worse than it has been in at least 10 years. Hang in there, try to find ways to take care of yourself.

    • Lightpurple says:

Yes, Darla, I do believe he and those around him are preparing a siege.

    • ican'tanymore says:

@Darla I’m not sleeping much either – there’s just too much support for this foolishness all around me and on the national stage. Just imagine if Obama had done any. of. this. Trump lost the popular vote against H. Clinton and Democrats didn’t act this way. Why don’t they just come out and say they want a dictatorship and they’re willing to do whatever they have to do leave a spineless man at the top so they can do whatever they want?

      • HoofRat says:

Obama would have been lynched in broad daylight if he had attempted anything remotely like this. All of these lowlifes need to be charged with sedition and punished accordingly.

    • Seraphina says:

How in the world can Ted Cruz be allowed to be an elected official after all he has done????? My mind cannot comprehend what is happening and how they are allowed to spew the lies and spread anarchy. They should be arrested and stripped of their seats.

    • Nana says:

Can they ring-fence DC? They need to protect its residents from all the stabbing, gun-toting, black-church vandalising, nazies/crazies that are about to descend on the capital. Feel for all its residents and hope the authorities are well-prepared.

      • Larisa says:

Thank you for thinking of that!
I’m routinely annoyed by people talking about DC as if it was just the Capitol Hill and the White House. It won’t be them who will suffer, but regular people who don’t deserve any of this.

      • Mac says:

DC has three separate police forces, four federal agencies that provide enforcement, and the national guard. The deployment against BLM protesters was a fraction of the city’s capacity. I’m not worried about violence in the streets, I’m worried about sedition in Congress.

    • BearcatLawyer says:

As a native Texan, I wish to emphasize that Evil Muppet Count does NOT represent the feelings of millions of Texans. Lock him up and charge him with treason and sedition!

      • HoofRat says:

As a native Albertan, I would like to apologize on behalf of the province for being Cruz’s birthplace.

      • MerlinsMom1018 says:

        @BearcatLawyer
Native Texan here as well and I second that.
        @HoofRat
No need to apologize. It’s all good.

    • clomo says:

Ted is a stand out for in this confederacy of dunces. Not King Dunce, more a jester.

  4. Eleonora says:

    How many days left?

Can’t wait for him to finally leave the White House.

  5. Rapunzel says:

So Trump is basically doing all the worst things we said he’d do. This is likely to continue. Be prepared.

I’m personally expecting the worst. After this stuff with the certification doesn’t work, he will likely attempt to invoke the insurrection act. The military will say no. He will have a fit. He will likely attempt to drag us to war, or worse. He may attempt to use the nuclear codes. He will be denied. He will likely need to be forcibly removed from the WH. He will probably take up arms and shoot some Secret Service or police in some Waco style seige of the people’s house. He will get arrested or shot.

He could also possibly just flee the country. But that’s looking less and less likely. He is digging in to fight, and with this tape, that is basically evidence to put him in jail, he’s gonna be even more desperate.

    • Esmom says:

Yes. I feel like everything you say could be circumvented if someone, anyone, would invoke the 25th Amendment now. Or hold another impeachment trial and convict him this time.

I feel like too many people have just hoped waiting him out would be sufficient but I’m not sure it is.

      • Darla says:

Wow you guys really believe it will get this bad? That he’ll lay siege?

      • Rapunzel says:

Darla- it’s possible. He thinks he won, and everyone saying otherwise is the enemy.. I’m bracing myself for the worst. I think we all should.

      • Nana says:

Hopefully they do invoke the 25th before he gets the chance to pardon any more of his own criminal swamp-dwelling family and friends/funders.

      • Chicken Tetrazzini! says:

At that point the Praetorian Guard scenario will come in to effect and as predicted it’ll be a secret service member who takes him out for the good of the nation

      • Korra says:

Oh he knows he has lost. What makes him dangerous is his entitlement and desperation to keep his power.

    • Miranda says:

Everything you said is terrifyingly plausible, but I kinda love the mental image of Trump taking up arms himself. He’s such a buffoon, it’d be so cartoonish. He’d try to fire the gun, it would jam, he’d turn it around to examine it and put his eye right up against the barrel, then he’d get the shakes and accidentally pull the trigger (assuming he has the strength in his tiny baby hands to do so).

      • Snuffles says:

Trump doesn’t have the balls to fire upon the secret service or military. If it gets to that point he will run to the bunker and go the way of Hitler. But don’t expect Melanie to join him. She’ll probably hand him the gun.

      • Miranda says:

You know, Hitler apparently tested the cyanide capsules on his dog (poor puppy). Which of the Republican boot-suckers would fill that role for Trump? Maybe he’d just use Junior.

      • Chicken Tetrazzini! says:

@Miranda it would 100% be Eric and he’d be so thrilled for Daddy’s attention

      • Miranda says:

@Chicken Tetrazzini! I think you’re right, and the only reason I didn’t say Eric to begin with is that I kinda forgot about him. Just like his dad.

    • ican'tanymore says:

At the very least, I think he’ll call on Proud Boys to stop standing by and step up. And they’ll respond.

      • Snuffles says:

The police are already turning on The Proud Boys. It could get ugly but they won’t succeed.

    • Alarmjaguar says:

There’s no way DT himself will take up arms, he is a complete coward! He’ll ask others to do it for him, absolutely, and this mess of a march on Washington on the 6th is part of that. But he himself in his bunker, no, he’ll be cowering and crying.

      • Christin says:

Bullies are the biggest cowards of all, especially loud-mouthed ones.

I think it would definitely be incite and hide. And solicit more contributions to the family funds while doing the above.

    • sassafras says:

Lost in all the news yesterday was the letter from the last ten living Defense Secretaries. If that’s not a signal to the military, I don’t know what is. I mean, Cheney and Rumsfeld and Trump’s own guys Mattis and Esper, all signed it. They KNOW SH!T and they went public with this. Why?? Why now?

      • Seraphina says:

Thank you for the info. Well written (of course) it almost brought a tear to my eye. So many years of peaceful transition and we have a clown in office who will bring about more chaos. And yes, the letter is correct: enemies of State see this weakness we have and it will be exploited. The repercussions will continue from these antics. God help us if he goes completely bonkers.

    • Leah says:

I’m sorry but I refuse to live in fear. His so called proud boys are just a bunch of cosplaying GI Joe’s who are basically Joe Bobs in khaki drag. IMO: Let these guys go at eachother like last time and let the DC police handle it. These Joe Bobs aren’t the military and the military is never going to go along with this, not after what Trump said about them. The votes will be certified and let those crappy republicans try to raise an objection. They’ve got no leg to stand on after what happened yesterday. Trump trying to get Georgia to add votes after the electoral college has already voted. Criminal.

      • Rapunzel says:

Leah- It’s not living in fear to be prepared for the worst. I’m not scared. I’m just bracing myself for the sh-tshow.

      • Anne Call says:

The more undemocratic and unhinged he gets, the less people will care if the state AG of NY slaps him with an fraud/money laundering indictment after January 20. His hard core base of crazies will always support him, but hopefully he will become a distant (hopefully jailed) memory very soon.

    • Tiffany :) says:

I don’t think he will take up arms…but it is sad that we have to even consider that he might.

He’s a bully with his words and power, and I think he will try to use that to influence OTHERS to do the dirty work for him. If things get violent, I think it will be his minions, not Trump himself.

  6. aquarius64 says:

Cheat-gate is still the lead in the US press. And no comment or tweet about it.

    • Truthiness says:

Former White counsel John Dean, who has experience in White House taping, thinks that the tapes were recorded at the White House because of how much stronger & clearer Trump’s voice is. Dean thinks it was taped via speaker phone. Listen for yourselves, he might be right. Georgia election crimes can’t be pardoned either. Laurence Tribe says that Trump is already suing over the leaked tape. Lawyer Marc Elias – who has won 120 cases this election cycle wrote “I am certain his criminal defense lawyers will tell him not to go to the Georgia rally tomorrow night.” Trump is the dumbest mafia boss ever, you don’t get caught saying these things, don’t you find a quiet Italian restaurant and have other people say it?

      • Sayrah says:

I saw that he could be arrested by GBI if he actually goes to Georgia today. But is that really possible with a secret service detail?

      • Truthiness says:

It’s more that these things are just not done, Secret Service protects the president and his family, but not from lawful consequences of their actions. He should not go to GA because his actions could tally up some more crimes that he may or may not be able to get away with.

    • BeanieBean says:

We have the proverbial smoking gun. Will it matter? I’m feeling far too cynical to think it will. Must be lack of sleep & coffee jitters.

  7. Miranda says:

I’m honestly scared for that election official, and anyone else who has had the moral courage to stand up to Trump’s bullying. Many of his worshipers are armed and dangerous, and then you have slack-jawed sycophants like Louie Gohmert actually encouraging them to get violent. It will never cease to amaze me that we went from (admittedly flawed) democracy to, well, THIS in just 4 years. January 20 can’t come soon enough. Obviously Biden can’t fix everything right away–I believe it will take decades to repair the damage–but at least there will be a return to something resembling sanity.

Also, Melania’s coat looks like she wrapped herself in a plaid wool trash bag.

    • Esmom says:

Along with wondering about that coat, I was wondering if that was faux Melania.

      • Dee says:

Melamine doesn’t wear anything but tight-fitting clothes. Chin and nose are different and she’s HOLDING HIS HAND. That’s definitely the Faux.

      • Ann says:

I didn’t notice the coat (which upon a second look is awful) but I too thought that might be “Melania.” The hand holding looks natural and there isn’t a hint of a scowl under the sunglasses so I’m thinking it is Fauxlania. The real Melania is probably still in Florida doing her Eva Braun cosplay while the civil war unfolds.

      • cassandra says:

I really hope they confirm that faux!Melania is real before I die haha

      • msromperstomper says:

Oh my god, that is absolutely NOT Melania! The smoking gun is that she’s wearing boots with no heel. Is that Hope Hicks?!? How are we supposed to work with all this craziness going on?

      • sassafras says:

Thank you! I looked and immediately thought it was Fauxlania but then I felt crazy for thinking so. Y’all gave me the evidence I needed.

    • MyName says:

If that’s actually Melania, I’ll eat the coat.

  8. Isa says:

How is this not prosecutable?!?! How is this not treason? He clearly wants to overthrow our democracy and establish an Eastern European/Russian-style dictatorship.

    • Miranda says:

It is, at the very least, the definition of seditious conspiracy.

    • Truthiness says:

This case is looking to be the tipping point, Dick Durbin and others say it warrants an investigation. Biden wants to take the high road and not be consumed by a witch hunt but with this, his DOJ will have to investigate the election crimes. His senior advisor lawyer Bob Bauer released a statement yesterday, usually Bauer keeps a low profile.

    • LightPurple says:

It is prosecutable under state and federal law. At the very least, it is election tampering and extortion.

  9. TIFFANY says:

Yeah, the only reason Raffensperger and Germany recorded this is to keep the attention on Casino while they and Kemp try to steal those 2 Senate seats.

Media is always quick to give these garbage dudes credit and will do so in the future.

    • Larisa says:

Right? You know Southern Republicans. Always throwing Republican presidents under the bus to steal some seats for Democrats!

    • sassafras says:

I mean, maybe. Or maybe they did it for the same reason that Jim Comey started keeping notes of his meetings with the Orange One. Because they were feeling heat and didn’t want the facts turned on them. Trump is pretty predictable in that way.

  10. Seraphina says:

I listened to parts of the recording. I am beginning to wonder, how much of this does he believe and how much he knows are lies in order to save his rear. Or, has he begun to believe is own lies???? Or has he had a mental breakdown, a stroke – to make all this (in his head) plausible? And I hope karma comes to those who are feeding the Trump monster this week.

    • Digital Unicorn says:

Narcs eventually start to believe their own lies – I think he’s had a mental break because this is the first time in his miserable life he has lost that cannot be overcame to the decision he wants.

He is beyond desperate now and I do think he will start, or try to, civil unrest on a bigger scale in the lead up and on the day of Biden’s inauguration. Dump is not going to go away quietly – he will burn down what he cannot have.

      • B n A fn says:

He did not have a mental break that has been his behavior for 50 years. I lived in New York and have been hearing stories of how he has been conning people out of their money. They said he will get someone to work in his buildings, he would offer them a certain amount to do a job, let say $100 for fixing the floor, when the work was done he gives $30 dollars. When the worker say that’s not the agreed price, he would tell them to sue him knowing they cannot because it takes money to take him to court. He’s been a con artist all his life. People are saying he really believes he won, I don’t believe that, it’s just part of his con game. Hope he goes to jail for all the people he has conned all his life.

      • Miranda says:

It reminds me so much of that Game of Thrones quote about Littlefinger: “He would see this country burn if he could be king of the ashes.” In fact, that was so on-the-nose that I had to look up which season it was from, because I thought it might have been a not-so-subtle nod to Trump.

      • Tiffany :) says:

B n A fn, I think Digital Unicorn is right, because as you state, he has always been able to get away with previous cons. However, in this instance, he is not being allowed to get his way (like he was allowed to underpay contractors), so he’s FINALLY facing a moment where he has to face the facts and his mind can’t compute.

      • Mumzy says:

@Miranda Funny you mentioned that because I think Trump has lived by Littlefinger’s “Chaos is a ladder” statement. Trump creates chaos and then uses the resulting mayhem to grab power and get what he wants.

  11. mellie says:

This is one of the phone calls that we are hearing about….imagine what the ones we don’t know about….

    • Snuffles says:

It was probably the most recent and someone in the White House got fed up, recorded it and exposed it.

      • Tiffany says:

This was recorded and released by Germany and Raffenspenger. This has nothing to do with the White House.

      • LightPurple says:

Recorded and released by Raffenspenger and Germany after he made 18 attempts to call them in a short time span. Those guys knew what he was going to try.

      • Seraphina says:

Snuffles, I agree 100%. This smells of an inside job – how else could that have leaked out.

    • sassafras says:

So much more is going to come out in the next year or so. My parents are still in denial about a lot of his acts because “we haven’t heard about it” and I told them to hold that thought. There are national security and strategic reasons that more people haven’t come forward. We know about Georgia and Ukraine calls. OF COURSE there’s more.

    • Seraphina says:

EXACTLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is the first of many that have been brought to light. Recall, many prophesized that his dirty dealing will come to light and they already have begun. It makes my head hurt to think this lunatic has all the power that he does right now.

    • Tiffany :) says:

Exactly, especially because changing the results of Georgia alone would not change the election winner. I bet there have been many calls, many crimes.

  12. B n A fn says:

All I have to say all that cheating and conning makes him looks like $#*t. He looks like a broken 😡 deranged devil 👿, will not call it a man. I’m so sick of seeing his pictures in the news. Good riddance to bad rubbish. Can’t wait for January 20 @12:01 pm don’t have to see that again.

  13. BearcatLawyer says:

The Guardian published an opinion piece that I felt is spot on: https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2021/jan/04/trump-republicans-electoral-college-sedition-secession-lincoln-confederacy

To all the people who still believe Mango Voldemort’s BS: BIDEN WON. TRUMP LOST. GET OVER IT SNOWFLAKES.

  14. Mabs A'Mabbin says:

My thoughts on the matter are quite evil. Medieval.

  15. Leah says:

This is so much worse than watergate, so much.

  16. Sean says:

My big fear is that he won’t actually face prosecution for any of this. He’ll face state charges for financial crimes most likely but I worry this along with the seditious Representatives/Senators will get swept under the rug in the spirit of “healing the nation”.

This will cause a precedent for such things occurring and it may not be in four, eight or twelve years but eventually a sociopath who’s intelligent enough will come along and completely destroy democracy.

I know it’s cliché to say but Rome did not fall in a day.

    • Thirtynine says:

I agree. I’ve been saying all along prosecutions must happen. They must be visible, and fully in accordance with the law. The rule of law must be reinstated and upheld and criminal acts held to account, no matter who by or when. If Biden does not ensure this is carried out, his presidency is over before it’s begun. That’s the truth. The rightwing media should not get to decide- of course they’ll scream witch-hunt! But the incoming president can not allow the right-wing press to set his agenda by frightening him off what needs to be done. This is absolutely critical for Biden to get right, i think.

    • Traveler says:

      I completely agree!
How can this possibly be classified as only a “potential criminal act” by legal scholars. If the law isn’t 100% clear on this it needs to be fixed IMMEDIATELY. Also, sitting presidents should NOT be given carte blanche to commit any criminal act without repercussions.
Drumpf needs to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. President-elect Biden and VP-elect Harris need to hear from all 81+ million of us that this is not the time for kumbayah. This act has enormous implications for the health of this democracy and the punishment for sabotaging it should fit the crime.
Take a play out of the republican handbook – can you even imagine for one moment that they would overlook something like this and instead extend an olive branch?

  17. FancyCatsup says:

I think that’s Faux Melania in the picture- the real one rarely puts her arms into coats, which always confuses and angers me. Just like everything Trump does too

    • msromperstomper says:

Agreed. I pointed out above that she’s not wearing heels. I mean this woman wore heels to shovel dirt in the Rose Garden or whatever. And wasn’t she wearing those “sexy” thigh high boots just a week ago? Her boots always have 3 inch heels. Try again.

    • LightPurple says:

This one also got her boot heel caught in the grass and stumbled, grabbing h old of him so she didn’t fall flat on her face.

I believe the number he requested was 11,780 votes, ONE more than President-elect Joe Biden won by. The only fraud and cheating done is by trump and the rethuglicans. The euphemism trump used was “uh, re-calculate,” even though the votes were counted THREE times. It’s very clear that the “steal” is only being perpetrated by the losing party. Unbelievable. And it’s recorded, too. Imagine if Barack Obama or Joe Biden called a state they lost and tried to strong-arm a state official to flip them an illegal win. Just imagine the OUTRAGE. For trump, it’s business as usual and his
groupies probably think it’s “smart.” Bill Maher was right when he predicted
four years ago, that if trump won, he would never give up power. And
Wednesday 12 republican senators will try to usurp power for trump in Congress and trump invited his thugs (Proud Boys, etc.) for a “wild” day in D.C. during that time. He is pulling the levers for an insurrection and a coup d’etat. This is NOT NORMAL.

Yes, Trump seemed to think that Georgia could just add 11,780 votes (all for him of course) describe it as something like a “re-calculate” as if that would be perfectly understandable and everyone would buy it.

His increasingly desperate actions just make me more certain he is very fearful of private citizenry, not just the image of losing the election. If he were not so afraid of his vulnerability as ex-POTUS, I think he’d only be tweeting about election fraud, not ACTUALLY COMMITTING IT HIMSELF.

He’s out. It’s a done deal. The real drama will be after he’s out. Just how successful will those investigations be? How many more are in the works? How many people are going to be free and willing to testify? Will he go to jail? Will he lose all his foreign allies? The potential for his final comeuppance is all I’m here for.

For anyone who’d like a bit of light relief from this unbelievable national insanity, check out the Twitter feed by historian Michael Beschloss. He posts wonderful historic pictures, often with a delightfully shady accompanying comment.

Yesterday he posted the full body mug shots of Nixon’s guys Mitchell, Haldeman, Ehrlichman and Colson, all of whom went to prison. We can only hope.

Just listened to a BBC report on Trump’s Georgia phone call – she reported that the Trump supporters she spoke with didn’t think it was a big deal – not a surprise really. She also mentioned that since the Presidential election in early Nov, approx 23,000 Georgian teenagers turned 18 and are eligible to vote tomorrow if they registered. Be interesting to see if these young people get out to vote and who they would vote for.

  22. jferber says:

It’s never “a big deal” when their guy does it. Country over party, people! Your guy IS a fraud, not one ounce of decency or honor in him. And he’s probably proud of that. His supporters sure are.

God, it IS fake Melania. The real Melania is much closer to her husband’s height. This one is very, very short. Also, real Melania will only wear stiletto pumps, even if she’s in the desert or the jungle. Also, fake Melania is stouter in the face, not as pretty and doesn’t have the obvious plastic surgery of real Melania . Notice she has on dark shades, so you can’t see the real Melania’s very weird, obviously tweaked eyes (that slit shape, which she never had before the plastic surgery). And yes, the very baggy shape coat masks this woman’s true figure, which most probably hasn’t had hundreds of thousands of dollars of plastic surgery. I’m a believer! Sorry, but lastly, she is willingly holding his hand, not something the real Melania would deign to do.

Things are getting weird, and that’s saying a lot.

I think it’s a different Fake Melania than the one we have seen before. This one looks more like real Melania around the mouth and jaw, except she’s still too short.

As an attorney I cannot believe a lawyer was in on that call. This was a crime and Meadows and lawyer lady were participants. She is in a world of hurt and obviously deserves it. Meadows needs to get an attorney also, maybe the Kracken is free? Also participating in a crime waives attorney-client privilege so she can be thoroughly questioned. Jesus this is disgusting.

Did you hear the rasping in his voice? He is struggling to breathe. I am severe asthmatic and that’s how I sound when trying to talk and wheezing. I could see the spit flying out of his mouth. And no he did not really sound coherent almost like a stroke victim trying to speak coherently. Good grief talk about no dignity or self respect. I am embarrassed by him

On a happier note Scotland closed its borders to the dumpster with the Prime (First? Apologies to lovely Scotland) Minister stating that golfing is not essential.
Apparently he was heading there and she’s all…the hell you are…
