Lindsey Graham is a POS. He was literally ratf–king the election, lying about BLM and “antifa” and enabling Trump just two seconds ago. [Towleroad]

This is what I’ve been saying. What happened yesterday was no secret, these people have been all over SM talking about this and recruiting for this. So for the magas to now claim it was ANTIFA in disguise is effing deplorable!!! Yet so many faux news watchers are eating it up and spreading it all over SM. I seriously can’t take it and am going to have to stop watching the news for a few weeks. News outlets should not be covering any of the a$$holes in congress that are spewing this conspiracy to skirt any responsibility once again.

I watched him speak last night. The man has absolutely no shame… like I can’t even imagine what the inside of his brain must sound like. To stand up, after everything that happened yesterday and after the sitting president basically instigated and blessed an attempted coup, and adopt a tone of joking joie de vie? I couldn’t even deal with it… the way he laughingly said “Trump and I have had quite a journey”… it’s not a joke, you seditious little worm. It’s not funny. It’s not something to be looked back on with warm chuckles and mild regret. It was literally earlier that same day that the president, with whom he’s had such a fun journey, incited violent white supremacists to attempt an overthrow of the sitting government and overturn the results of a democratic election. And he had the nerve to stand there and chuckle?! To act like it was just a funny little blip on the radar, as if one day he’s sure we’ll all look back on this and laugh!?!?!?!?

    How. Dare. He.

    • elle says:

OMG, Megan – I thought the same. And people CLAPPED for his shameless little routine.

      • Megan2 says:

It was one of the worst, most shameful displays I’ve ever seen from an elected official, anywhere. So much so, that my stomach hurts just thinking about it. Cannot even fathom the black hole that must exist where his conscience should be. There were a lot of truly awful, appalling, beyond description moments yesterday… but watching Lady G stand on the senate floor afterwards and joke his way through his speech to the sounds of applause just broke something inside of me.

    • Larisa says:

Thank you for saying what I feel. This is unbelievable. He’s almost glorious in his unabashed shamelessness.

    • sunny says:

It was so disgusting. They are the most shameless people. They were stoking these attacks by spreading lies but now enough is enough. They are all acting surprised this violence came to be. My god, they are repugnant.

    • Kristin says:

I was so furious watching this last night that it’s amazing nothing in my house is broken. You a–holes sat back and enabled this BS for years. I can’t imagine being this void of conscience.

    • Korra says:

You know what is frustrating thing about Lindsey Graham? He has survived decades in office when he is the most craven, fair-weathered politician in the modern era — he stands for nothing! The people of SC will never care as long as he has an “R” next to his name, but it is so infuriating how this cockroach keeps thriving when he has done nothing for our democracy.

    • Sandy says:

Thank you for putting it into words – I feel sick thinking about his little performance

  3. LightPurple says:

Graham was so drunk last night when he made his speech, slurring his words, swaying in every direction, and burping loudly several times. No, Lindsey, you can’t pretend you didn’t try to get legitimate votes destroyed in Arizona and Georgia and probably did just that in South Carolina. You can’t pretend you didn’t happily put a rapist on the Supreme Court, mocking rape victims while you did so. You can’t pretend you didn’t actually spend Christmas Day at Mar a Lago with Trump after bragging about i. You can’t pretend you didn’t say Trump is much smarter than Barack Obama. You can’t pretend you didn’t rush that puppet Amy Covid Barrett onto the Supreme Court. You can’t pretend you didn’t defend Mitch McConnell’s refusal to grant confirmation hearings to Merrick Garland., You can’t pretend that you didn’t help Nagini crash John McCain’s funeral so she could play with her phone while his daughter eulogized him. You can’t pretend you didn’t accompany her on her overseas grifting trips. You can’t pretend you didn’t stand by and defend every horrible thing that man did from the Muslim ban to trying to deprive us all of healthcare to defunding the pandemic units to pay for the Wall. You can’t pretend you didn’t stand by while he allowed Putin to put bounties on our troops. You can’t pretend you didn’t leave every single day of the impeachment trial early or skipped days of hearings entirely. We all saw it. We all heard it. And most people face discipline when they show up drunk for work as you did last night. Where and when exactly were you drinking? Do you keep a stash of Jack Daniels in your office for those occasions when you have to go back to work after an attempted coup fails?

    • Liz version 700 says:

He sure was drunk. I wonder how much alcohol it takes to sleep at night when you are Lindsey

    • Tom says:

That’s also what I saw, LightPurple. “How much did he have to drink.” I was talking to the tv.

    • Truthiness says:

OMG I had to go to bed for work, I missed something good! I had no idea he he helped Complicit crash John McCain’s funeral – how f@#$%-ing dare he! John planned his funeral and she stunk to high heaven with that stunt.

      • Lightpurple says:

He told Cindy McCain he was going to do it the night before during the wake in front of hundreds of people so she really couldn’t respond without making a scene during her husband’s wake. She had to go through the whole night knowing that her husband’s “friend” was planning to ruin the carefully arranged funeral with a cheap political stunt to appease Nagini. It had to rankle him that he only got to do a short reading while Lieberman, Bush, & Obama got to make personal speeches.

    • KhaoManee says:

Oh yeah, Lady G was “In the cups” last night for sure. Such a disgrace.

    • fluffy says:

I thought he was drunk also. And I know drunk when I see it from personal experience. I can’t drink alcohol now as I break out in spots. Spots like Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, East Hampton…

  4. grabbyhands says:

    Again, is anyone surprised?

The republican whitewashing of the coup attempt started almost immediately after they were all allowed back into the Capitol building and it will be business as usual right after Biden is officially inaugurated. Absolutely nothing has changed.

  5. Leah says:

No Lindsey, there’s no free pass for you. Scoundrel.

Caught a video of the magat insurgents sitting around a hotel lobby like they were attending a convention or conference. Sitting there with their stupid flags. They threatened the person taking the video, tried to mace him, chased him off and hotel security had to intervene.

    • Veronica S. says:

If I were an FBI agent, I’d be calling every single hotel in that region and slowly compiling a list of names. Probably the fastest and easiest way to get most of their information.

    • Christin says:

A group from my area went to DC because patriots, stolen election, etc. How do I know? Because two of them – a construction company owner and retired doctor – have contacted both local TV stations to give interviews!

They want it known they were there. Similar to the guy who was photographed inside the building with his WORK ID clearly visible! His company tweeted that he’s now terminated. These are not our most clever citizens.

      • KhaoManee says:

There was a Magat from my state on the local news this morning who was there. He tried to say that only a handful out of MILLIONS of “protesters” who were there were causing the trouble. Millions??? Bwaahaha!! These people will believe Trump over their own eyes.

      • Eleonora says:

        @Christin, good.
Bunch of idiots don’t understand actions have consequences.

  6. lucky says:

welp. Not that is is a surprise, but now we know what ‘the line’ is for this pos’s. When the violence comes to their house/homes will be the only time that enough is enough. Noted.

  7. BlueSky says:

F*ck you Lady G!! You are a treasonous POS!!

    • Cidee says:

Just came here to say those same exact words!!! “F*ck you, Lady G!”

      • BayTampaBay says:

We call her Miss Lindsey at our house.

Online you can buy a Miss Lindsey Doll complete with a fan, snuff, smelling salts and pearls suitable for clutching.

        Handbag and buggy-whip sold separately.

    • JanetDR says:

Me too, but I say Miss Linsey.

  8. Liz version 700 says:

We see you Lindsey. We won’t forget Ever!

  9. Mabs A'Mabbin says:

Hate. Hate. Hate. Hate. They won yesterday. And they’re winning today. Nobody has consequences. And they’ve successfully turned this particular voter into an abysmal sack of hate. Before this loser? Eternal optimist, lover and defender of everyone. Now? Half this country’s enablers and criminals could explode into nothing, and I’m not sure if I’d cry one tear. Hello 2021.

    • Christina says:

I say that these things are now out in the open. No more plausible deniability of the deep racism and bigotry dressed as patriotism that many people have been able to escape through privilege. You are an ally who saw it, but so many haven’t before the this year, before yesterday.

So many Black and brown people have complained of this type of treatment for years. The irrational hatred. Now that the bigots are advocating for hanging Pence before Pelosi, which was discussed on a Reddit feed, and now that people have actually stormed the Capitol, it is within the realm of possibility that the hate can effect them, too.

The mob was destroying TV equipment and fashioning noises out of the wires. That is usually reserved for frightening Black and brown people.

  10. Miranda says:

Has anyone seen my eyes? They just rolled right the fuck out of my head.

  11. chimes@midnight says:

South Carolinian here. Just wanted to add that the Trump cultists around here already hate Graham and have for some time. He’s a RINO to them.

  12. olliesmom says:

Too little too late Miss Lindsay b**ch, you coward. They are all separating themselves from Don the Con after that stupid stunt that did nothing yesterday.

  13. Freddy says:

Trump incited a domestic terror attack with absolute no concern for ANYONE’S safety in the Capitol building–including the people who have enabled his lies and corruption for 4 years!! Dr. Frankenstein, meet your monster.

  14. MIBound says:

Lindsey is up in it to his neck. I didnt think about the swaying and inappropriate jokes. That would explain it if he was drunk. He knows trying to protect his secrets, he has allowed a narcissistic, psychopath to take a fragile, cracked country and push it over the edge. I hope he can live with it, by the looks of him, he cant.

  15. jferber says:

Update: A Capitol police officer has just died of injuries sustained in the riot yesterday. So that brings it to 6 deaths Trump is responsible for. Another point for those who say, “It’s just 13 days more.” A top official just said Trump can get the country into a conflict with a foreign power that Biden will then have to deal with on top of the pandemic and all the other trump fuck-ups. He wants everyone to fail now that he’s burning it all down (some Rethugs say he wanted the two Rethug Georgia senators to fail, too) so why wouldn’t he fuck us up even more by starting a war? He can do that in ONE minute. It wouldn’t even take 13 days. He’s a liar and a loser and he is armed and dangerous.

  16. jferber says:

The police officer was murdered by a rioter, who hit the officer in the head with a fire extinguisher. The poor officer was taken off life support and died. They need to get video of the incident and find and charge the murderer. Also, there’s a law that if when a crime is committed, someone is murdered, ALL who took part in the crime are charged for the murder. Can all the insurrectionists be charged with this?

  17. jferber says:

Update: Officer has not died, but is still on life support after being hit in the head with a fire extinguisher by an insurrectionist. His family says it looks bad for him and he has a blood clot in his brain.

  18. J ferber says:

Update. The officer died last night. He was 42 years old.
