I just notice something – Trump, and most of the accounts associated with him – Team Trump, The War Room, etc. – none of them have tweeted to acknowledge the death of the police officer in the riot. Not one. Where is the law and order crowd? A police officer was just murdered in cold blood. Most members of Congress have acknowledged it (even Ted Cruz, although Josh Hawley has not yet). He can tweet that he’s not going to the inauguration, though. Disgusting.

      Good point.

    • Truthiness says:

Well, there will be no more twitter madness from Trump unless you count all the attempts Trump tried to use alt accounts which got immediately banned. Hilarious to watch in real time, he got at least 5 accounts banned. He’s complained about his first amendment rights but the lazy ass can waddle over to HIS OWN BRIEFING ROOM and yammer on 24/7.

  2. Sean says:

Neither Bezos or Musk touch Big Daddy Vlad when it comes to wealth.

  3. KHJ says:

NASA should be careful working with Musk. Dude is very smart and VERY unstable. Also the DEA should probably look into his Boring Company & friendship with El Chapo’s ex-wife…..he loves his drugs too much to run the show

    • Lemons says:

Elon is an eccentric dude, but a government agency like NASA isn’t going to get duped. They have FAR too much money on the line. They are working with a team at Space X, not specifically Elon. The same would apply for Elon’s Boring company.

I honestly appreciate how he makes “futuristic” ideas mainstream. Obviously I do not appreciate other aspects of Elon as a person, so I’m not a huge supporter.

      • Elizabeth says:

Government agencies make mistakes and waste our tax money all the time — military budget for example!

  4. Michelle says:

That amount of money is sickening. So many people in the world suffering & to think all these billionaires could solve half of the world’s problems with their wealth & save so many lives. That’s the legacy i would want.

    • LikingMyHaircut says:

Nope, billionaires can’t solve our problems and nor should they be tasked with it. Look up what Mike Bloomberg, a billionaire with public service experience, said about philanthropy. He basically said this: Government budgets are in the trillions per year. 10 billionaires can’t come close to funding that. If 100 got together they could maybe do something for one year or two, then nothing.

The solution, as it always has been, is to tax fairly for improved income equality and funding of education, health, infrastructure, etc. Unfortunately a lot of people call that socialism (incorrect) or simply say, nah, we can’t afford that. But you can somehow find $934 billion for the military, plus extras like around 3 billion a year for military aid to allies like Israel. Go figure.

Do I think his personal life is messy? Sure. Do I think wealth should be more evenly distributed? Sure. I have mixed feelings because my Tesla stocks have made me a lot of money and I think his promotion of EV technology is important for the planet.

I was binge-watching M.A.S.H. to self soothe. There’s a lot of ‘humour’ involving sexual assault, not to mention racism. The AA actor’s name in the show is Spearchucker. Things I missed as a kid watching it the first time in the 70’s.

  7. Ellie says:

Just wanted to be the first one to say here: Trump banned from Twitter permanently 🎉 🎈!! 🥂

    • Miranda says:

After 4 years of letting him run his lying, racist mouth. Truly, Twitter is a profile in courage. /s

In related news, Google has suspended Parler from their app store after they refused to remove “egregious content,” and Apple appears to be following suit.

  8. Natters5 says:

Easy to the be the richest man in the world when your corporation doesn’t pay taxes and your accountants can write off just about everything you do or own.

  9. AB says:

I wonder will Trump now transfer his insane jealous hatred of Bezos to Musk.

  10. Silent Star says:

    Best soothing binge-watch: Schitt’s Creek!
I also love “Please Like Me” and “Norsemen” for light, clever fun.

Those guys on the Late Show were amazing! So fiery!

  12. Emily says:

Richest person in the world is basically a competition for who is a more despicable person. No one needs to accumulate that type of wealth. I get much of it is based on stocks, but still. In Bezo’s case, he’s gotten rich of the backs of others.
