The Duchess of Sussex’s toxic father is still being paid to memorize scripts written for him by British journalists. There is literally no other explanation for why this keeps happening, and the increasingly bizarre sh-t said by Thomas Markle. He’s just a performing circus animal, trotted out every so often on British outlets, to yammer about how Meghan and Harry are “disrespecting the Queen.” I can only assume – given Toxic Tom’s appearance this morning on Good Morning Britain – that Piers Morgan was the one to write today’s script. Some lowlights:
The “skin color of the baby” issue was not racism: “I have great respect for the royals, and I don’t think the British royal family are racist at all. I don’t think the British are racist, I think Los Angeles is racist, California is a racist, but I don’t think the Brits are. The thing about what color will the baby be or how dark will the baby be — I’m guessing and hoping it’s just a dumb question from somebody … It could be somebody asked a stupid question. Rather than being a total racist. This whole thing about color and how dark the baby is, is bull—,” Markle said, adding that he thought the remark should be investigated.
On Meghan’s description of her suicidal thoughts: “Had I known she had psychological problems, I would have been there for her,” he said, but claimed that Meghan had “pretty much ghosted” her family in the US and “she really had no one to reach out to.” Markle, 76, did concede that the revelations of his daughter’s mental state “really did upset me.”
Thomas Markle thinks they should have delayed the interview: Asked further about the explosive interview his daughter and son-in-law gave to Oprah, Markle said “they went way over the top,” and should have waited, considering that Prince Philip, was still in the hospital after undergoing a heart procedure. “They should have waited considering the queen’s age and Philip’s age,” he said.
He is so disgusting: He was “disappointed” after watching the interview and that he “can’t imagine doing anything to intentionally cause pain to my child”. “I’m very disappointed about it. I’ve apologised about this thing, what happened, at least 100 times or so. The bottom line is I’ve never heard back from Meghan or Harry in any way shape or form. When they say that I’m taking advantage of the press, well basically what I do because I haven’t heard from them, is I’ll do a story for the press. If I don’t hear from them in 30 days then I’ll do another story for the press. When they decide to talk to me I’ll stop talking to the press.” He added that no one had offered him help or support ahead of the wedding, and in a sharp criticism of Harry, he said: “In spite of all that, I still apologised . . . but I’ve never played naked pool and I’ve never dressed up as Hitler.”
“The bottom line is I’ve never heard back from Meghan or Harry in any way shape or form… well basically what I do because I haven’t heard from them, is I’ll do a story for the press. If I don’t hear from them in 30 days then I’ll do another story for the press.” Just pointing out that the whole reason why Meghan wrote her father a letter in 2018 was to ask him to stop doing these interviews. She did contact him and tell him what he needed to do to be in her life. He refused to do as she asked, sold the letter she sent him and lied about how she had not contacted him for years, and he’s still lying about it. Instead of asking those follow-up questions, British media continues to both exploit Thomas Markle and exert complicity in his very public abuse of his daughter.

Brits are obsessed about not being racists, they don’t want to be called off. Meghan put the knife in the wound of a country with just a sentence.

If anyone comments anywhere (social media or papers) telling about racism or xenophobia they have suffered and call the Brits racists, be sure you get a million comments under it saying that UK is the most tolerant country ever and that there are far more racist countries.
I’ve been the victim of a hate crime twice in UK (xenophobia, not racism as I am not a POC) and the police even refused to accept the report. It speaks volumes about the unwillingness to acknowledge that this country has a big problem with racism and xenophobia.
I think the xenophobia helped make things worse for Meghan too. Racism was definitely the driver but xenophobia came along for the ride. My sister is a white British citizen but speaks with a Canadian accent and people said horrible things to her during the run up to Brexit. They didn’t seem to understand that Brexit didn’t mean they are getting rid of all foreigners.

Tom is not a bright man, we saw that in his very early interviews he was bumbling and inarticulate, he wasn’t this precise. Literally Morgan wrote those blurbs for him. There’s no doubt.

Though she is dealing with his toxicity from afar I’m very happy for Meghan that she doesn’t have him in her life any longer.
This disgusting man reminds me so much of my own (very toxic) father. After being terrible and emotionally abusive to me for years (even after I welcomed his only grandchild 8 years ago), I finally recognized his abuse to the full and awful extent it was and I finally cut him out of my life last year.
That being said, my mom talks about how she not recognize the man my father has become over the years either. She is in as much disbelief as me and my sister when looking at who my father has become. My parents divorced in the 90’s, and my father just slowly devolved into the worst version of himself over the years. In my father’s case, his mental health was likely already tenuous while married to my mom, but then he stopped caring to help himself, and the spiral downward continued.
This is how I imagine it with Doria and Tom- he was normal enough back when they were together ages ago, but then after their split he slowly went off the rails, until we see him how, and he has obviously become the complete mess we’re seeing in the media today. That’s just my guess, as I agree Doria is a queen, who has been one of the few stable and supporting forces in H&M&A’s life during this intense transition for them. Thank goodness for her kind heart!

I honestly don’t get how Thomas thinks he’s going to have some kind of relationship with or get some kind of reward or acknowledgment from the royal family. Does he think that if he keeps saying these things that one day the Queen is going to call him up personally and invite him to come live at the palace and be knighted? When you watch the video, you can tell he is trying to remember the script he is supposed to say during this “interview.” Also, a year or so ago, he stated the same thing in another interview about Meghan ghosting both sides of her family, the thing about doing the interviews every 30 days if he doesn’t speak to Meghan, etc., etc.; because after that interview, a picture was posted on the sussexroyal instagram or twitter showing Harry, Meghan, & another Black woman smiling & talking. I believe this was at a gathering with Doria’s side of the family to show that Thomas is a LIAR & the people interviewing him are LIARS TOO.
