Venus Williams’ Wonder Woman kit was so incredibly cute. It completely sucks that Venus lost first round of the Miami Open and we won’t get to see it again! [GFY]

I’m so glad my husband has a working brain, doesn’t think being a carnivore is a personality trait, and believes in science. We both got our first shots already and get the second next weekend. These men who put on this show of being the head of the household and the manliest of all the men are toddlers. Their wives do everything for them and their kids and they would never last a day living on their own. Instead of being proud of providing for your family, doing for your family, having a strong educated wife, they think being manly is maybe bringing in a paycheck but it’s mostly having a wife that waits on them hand and foot and raises their kids while they clean their guns and take naps.

The high heeled duck boots are interesting. Big 70’s energy in her work for the fall.

  3. Stellainnh says:

Gwennith Paltrow loves WAP. She will say that she invented it.

    • (The OG) Jan90067 says:

Wait for it: she’ll market a lube and call it WWAP (White WAP).

Or wait… a candle, and call this one “This Smells Like MY WAP”.

      Countdown….3..2..1

  4. (The OG) Jan90067 says:

Everything in Stella’s line seems over-exaggerated and cartoonish to me (esp. the size of those bells and the shoes). Some of the tops look like they could be cute dresses, or even tunics with *normal* pants though. JMO as always…YMMV 😊

You know what? As long as the rest of us sane people are getting vaccinated and still wearing our masks to protect ourselves from COVID, I am perfectly fine with losing half of all Republican men. F–k those neo-fascist, treasonous Trump worshipers and the shiny $50K pickup trucks they rode in on because they like to fantasize about being gritty, salt of the earth farmer/rancher types even though they live in an $800K McMansion in a gated community.

The only thing holding me back from saying “good” is that these men are probably dictators at home and won’t let their wives and kids get vaccinated or wear masks. Everyone has to suffer for their stubbornness and stupidity.

    You guys…Jessica Walter died. 😭😭

    • Tiffany says:

      Just saw this.

It hit me with the feels.

    • Rural Juror says:

Nooooooo not Jessica Walter! Ugh, that sucks.

    • The Recluse says:

Sad. First Kotto, then Segal and now her.

    • Lucy2 says:

I’m so sad. Jessica was just brilliant and hilarious. Lucille Bluth forever!
My screen name comes from her arch rival, Lucille 2.

    • North of Boston says:

That news made me so sad. She was truly a National Treasure. We were lucky to have her here with us mere mortals for 80 years.

And it still makes me sad to think of how her male AD costars were such s-heads to her in that NYT interview when she was talking about her experience working with unprofessional bully Jeffrey Tambor and Jason Bateman, Will Arnett, Tony Hale and David Cross all poo-pooed her experience, particularly Bateman trying to mansplain to Walter how “the industry” works. I cannot watch any of them in anything without thinking about what trash they were to her at that moment. I think eventually some of the ‘apologized’ but the fact that they even tried to minimize her experience AT ALL, while actively disrespecting her by talking over her, interrupting her was horrific.

It was, what? like two years ago? And I still nearly cry my own righteous tears of frustration/anger/indignation at their audacity and misogyny.

My partner just casually mentioned that he has met Venus Williams. I was shocked it has never come up until now but the story is: she played a charity match for a cause his company sponsored. He said she was incredibly nice, almost shy and very, very funny. He also mentioned she was patient with all the grown men fan girling over her. Venus was there with Andy Roddick and apparently he was a great guy too.

    • Tiffany says:

That story never came up on the 1st date. Just….sitting on that awesome info.

If I met Venus Williams, that would be on my business card.

  8. The Recluse says:

Bellbottoms? BELLBOTTOMS!!! Dear Lord, no, not yet again!

    • North of Boston says:

My first thought was “oh no! Not bell bottoms! They are such a trip hazard!” especially when you combine them with platform or other chunky shoes.

I think I’m getting old LOL!

  9. Reece says:

Stella’s bellbottoms look like the tiktok leggings in bb form. Also I’m pretty sure I had that blue sweater as a kid

  10. Soupie says:

My eye roll almost rolled right out of my head looking at that Stella McCartney collection. What a poser she is. This is her worst yet and that is really saying something. I’ll bet she didn’t design that white dress of Meghan Markle’s after the wedding. Probably stole the design and put her name on it.

  11. Mash says:

What’s interesting is that in the comics WW had a brown sister name Nubia who has the phenotypic look of Venus.

Is a true shame that a lot of brown characters in comics get discarded and or forgotten about :/
