Did anyone else see that Dr Debra Birx, aka Dr Neckscarf, said that only the first 100,000 COVID deaths in the US were unavoidable? That the rest could have been mitigated? In that case, why the hell didn’t you do something to mitigate them, you sycophant?

my husband “made” like 10k in an hour with this NFT art stuff. The crypto world is full of really strange people…
I will say this. I don’t really understand why people want cryptocurrencies when many aren’t accepted anywhere but the popularity assigns the value. Most people don’t even exchange their currencies and cash out and until they do turn it into dollars or…i guess bitcoin, it’s all just worthless sh*tcoin sitting around swinging wildly up and down in value.

Wow, I really want to learn how to do this. I’m trying dollar-by-dollar to pay off astronomical student loan debt so every bit counts. As an artist, maybe I should look into this…

I can answer your question with two words: Money laundering.

There are plenty of people just nerding out innocently about NFTs and bitcoin, etc, but in the meanwhile, organized crime is shunting money back and forth under the cover of their enthusiasm.

@Libra I had no idea either! I will definitely chat with him about it. I know his friends work for crypto companies and have showed him how to do things. He mined bitcoin a few years ago with a PC but stopped that because the energy consumption is insane.

I will definitely talk about environmental impacts with him though! We are middle class government workers and grow a lot of our own veg and have our own chickens. Environmental health is definitely a big family concern so thanks for the info.

Oh that song is TERRIBLE. I will give Lilo this, she is entertaining, but not in the way that she thinks she is.

God bless fanfic, that’s all I can say.

Oh, I loved that way more than I thought I would. Really made my day brighten up a bit.

I finally watched Mean Girls for the first time. So cute and LL was so cute. Now I have to go through (on an accelerated basis) the sadness and horror of what she ultimately became after having so much potential.

    • Betsy says:

It’s just really, really depressing seeing what happened to her. Wasted potential, indeed. I wasn’t really following her story much more than headlines at the grocery store, so I don’t remember when it began to go south for her, but it’s sad.

There’s a YouTuber who goes by “mila tequila” and is doing very thorough breakdowns of 2000s-era starlet careers, and she’s done two on Lohan. They’re fun, but insightful. I’m struck by a) how Gen Z-ers seem fascinated by that era and b) how many of the same elements come into play: unstable families, career pressure, abuse from paparazzi, inability to manage themselves after a lifetime of BEING managed, etc. That was really a decade where young women became a force to be reckoned with in pop culture, but the rate at which they were chewed up and spit out is……. depressingly consistent. As is how many of them were were WELL under 18 but dating 20-something men in an era when no one said “boo” about it.

Yes drugs and alcohol. And that’s the best part. Her life has been an avoidable train wreck.

I adore Denzel Washington and have always admired his work and he is such an incredibly talented actor. He is of the old school and I don’t think anything he has done was bad, in my book. I even enjoyed him in The Little Things. And OMG, if you haven’t seen it yet, watch Fences!! I adore
Viola Davis as well and they were magical in that movie!! I will watch anything he is in!! I also love that he and his wife have been married since 1983, met in 1977. She is gorgeous and he is so f#cking hot!!

  7. BothSidesNow says:

In regards to Khloe Karka$$ing, she is upset that people are talking about her but she is IN the public, right? So she expects people to stay silent? WTF? Grow thicker skin or STFU Khloe!! You are IN the public mainstream but you’re pissed about comments?

Lindsay Lohan has a tragic story. Her family was abusive, she was the breadwinner and I’m sure she felt like she had to put up with her parents so that her younger siblings were provided for. Yes, she was/is? an addict and has made bad decisions and PAID the price for her crimes. But having the world judge you, mock you, criticize you, and hate on you when headlines are needed must be difficult for her. Why would she come back to America if she’s a joke to us all? She’s a human.
