Prince Harry left the UK Monday night, arrived back in California on Tuesday afternoon

Duke of Edinburgh funeral

The Daily Mail has been trying to track Prince Harry’s movements for the past week and they finally got something nailed down. Harry must have flown out of Heathrow on Monday night, and he arrived at LAX on Tuesday afternoon. The Mail is trying to lay a guilt trip on him, like how dare Harry leave without reconciling with Charles or William. But Charles and William both left Windsor soon after Prince Philip’s funeral. My question is not “why didn’t Harry spend time with his dad or his brother,” it’s “what did Harry do on Sunday and Monday?” I would guess that he spent some time with his York cousins and perhaps visited the Queen.

Prince Harry returned home to California from London yesterday, Dailymail.com can reveal, missing the Queen’s birthday today and with the Windsor’s family row unresolved after meeting only once with his father and William following the Duke of Edinburgh’s funeral. The Duke of Sussex, 36, is understood to have flown into Los Angeles on an American Airlines flight from London Heathrow shortly after 1.30pm local time yesterday.

His chauffeur-driven MPV was seen leaving the private terminal at LAX, reserved for celebrities and the super-rich, and was spotted again arriving at the Sussexes’ Montecito mansion at around 4pm. Harry returned to the US just 24 hours before his grandmother the Queen turned 95 today – just days after the funeral of her beloved husband of 73 years – as she spends her first birthday without him in more than seven decades.

Her Majesty, the world’s oldest reigning monarch, will spend a ‘low key’ day at Windsor Castle, where she will see family members and walk her dogs. Prince Charles is at his Welsh home and Prince William is not expected to visit. Family members living closest to the Queen, who may be able to see her, including Prince Andrew, Princess Eugenie, and the Earl and Countess of Wessex. There will be no traditional gun salutes or birthday photo due to the monarch remaining in mourning.

Harry also chose to fly from Britain with the rift with his father and brother caused by his decision to emigrate and pour his heart out to Oprah still seemingly unresolved.

Harry had been widely reported to have been planning to stay for the Queen’s birthday, although sources said he was ‘conflicted’ about the decision and wanted to get home to Meghan. Father-of-one Harry will now begin a second 10-day quarantine – a requirement for international travelers journeying to the US, although it is not mandatory unlike in the UK. CDC guidelines recommend travelers get a Covid-19 test prior to departure and self-isolate for 10 days after they return. California also has its own travel advisory, with visitors and residents required to fill in a form that includes their contact details on arrival at LAX.

[From The Daily Mail]

Page Six also made a point about how Harry never had any one-on-one discussions with his father or brother, although the reporting around all of that is a mess. Some outlets say Harry spoke at length to Charles and William on Saturday, but there are some reports that William wasn’t interested in any of it, and it was mostly just Harry and Chuck talking. One source told Page Six: “It was wonderful to see William and Harry talking, but it’s early days. There’s a way to go. It’s not just Charles and William who want to keep their rapprochement private — but Harry too. No one needs Gayle King reporting on private family matters.” That’s interesting, because I can’t wait for Gayle to call Harry and report what he tells her, just so we can get some f–king clarity about what actually went down after the funeral.

Oh, something else I didn’t get to mention – when Harry flew into Heathrow, he had his own security team with him. They were met by Met Police officers, who then took him to Frogmore Cottage. The security aspect of his travel freaks me out, and I’m glad Harry is back in the protection of his own team.

Good. I hope he traveled safely. Always nice to be reunited with family after a long time away 🙂

But honestly the DM’s obsession and stalking is worrying.

    • Elizabeth Regina says:

I am so glad he is back with his family. The vipers nest he left behind can continue with their dastardly ways.

      • bamaborn says:

YES, Yes and yes! So glad he’s back in this country and reunited with Duchess Meghan and Archie. Loved he took his own security team.

    • Brielle says:

Totally….how were that able to trace him like that? He came without them knowing when and they knew all of that on his return?…

      • anotherlily says:

They got photos of his car at the airport (I think it was a convoy of cars judging by the photo) and also turning into his private road. They are probably paying undercover photographers.

      • Yvette says:

I love how the reports were that Prince Harry had an open end British Airways ticket, but he flew home on American Airlines. LOL! I hope the British tabs were left stalking British Airways as Harry quietly driving past to American Airlines. 🙂

      • Juniper says:

I worked at an airline and now I’m wondering what his ticket would say for his name since it was AA.

    • Becks1 says:

Yeah….they were staking out his Montecito home to see when he arrived?

They need a hobby or something.

      • Betsy says:

I mean, if we want them to stop doing that, then we need to stop clicking on the threads here that rely on the paparazzi/stalkers’ photos.

      • Becks1 says:

I never click through to the actual stories in the tabloids, I just read the parts that Kaiser excerpts (which presumably is what you are doing as well.)

      • LaraW” says:

They need a real job is what they need.

      • Feeshalori says:

I never give those trash tabloids clicks, I just read the excerpts here.

      • WithTheAmerican says:

I’ve been looking for an app that would block the Fail, as they have become an attack on western democracy IMO. I never click the links here, but when im googling sometimes they come up.

    • PEARL GREY says:

Another round of Harry-bashing articles is due, as it is unforgivable for Harry to return home to his high-risk heavily pregnant wife and child and not stay in the UK to celebrate his grandmother’s birthday instead. Forget about the fact that the Queen’s eldest son didn’t stay either and has apparently gone to Wales, her favourite son Andrew is goodness knows where, the same goes for the rest of her children, and Statesman Bill and “the monarchy’s rock” Kate Mandela won’t be with her too. I guess she already did what she came to do, get dressed up in the Queen’s jewellery, pose for staged glamour shots in an attempt to get her first viral photo in 10 years, do her best human linchpin peacemaker impression and go home. But no, it’s only Harry who is wrong for not staying.

      • Kebbie says:

This is exactly what I said when they first reported he’d stay for her birthday. They were always only setting up a new line of attack. They knew he wouldn’t stay that long, but it created a narrative that makes him look bad for going home to his wife and son. Just more nonsense for their readers to rage over.

      • Commonwealthy says:

Kate Mandela *crying emojis x 4*
(Full love and respect to actual Mandela, Rest In Peace Tata)

      • Isabella says:

Where is Charles on Queen’s birthday? In Wales. Where are William and Kate and Anne and the other siblings? There’s no reason why the Queen is having a birthday alone, which I doubt she is.

    • Beach Dreams says:

I can’t believe they tracked his car from the airport to Montecito. I also don’t know why I’m even surprised, considering this IS the Fail and they have a reporter living close to Toxic Tom in Mexico.

  2. Snuffles says:

Yay! He’s home! He probably stayed to visit the Queen. Maybe he couldn’t get in to see her until Monday. You know those courtiers are always controlling her schedule.

    • Boxy Lady says:

It would be particularly egregious if the courtiers did that right now because the family is supposed to be officially in mourning and not working.

    • Edna says:

Omid Scobie has a write up in Harper’s Bazaar basically shutting down all the tabloid fan fiction. Seems a “Sussex source” spoke directly to Omid to shut the rumor factory down.

    • Chelsea says:

I think youre right Snuffles. Omid has a story out claiming Harry met with the Queen before he left so i wouldnt be surprised if the courtiers didnt let him see her until late sunday or monday and that’s why he stayed longer. Though it still doesnt explain to me how the tabloids were so clueless to where he was and when he was leaving. The Sussexes did a great job of keeping everything close to the vest while also showing how clueless the British press is.

  3. Lauren says:

I’m so happy that he managed to get to and leave the UK without the roaches being none the wiser.

  4. Belli says:

I’m glad he’s back home and yes, I’m sure he did spend some time with the Queen before he went.

The Mail is trying to berate him for not being with the Queen on her actual birthday today, but none of the rest of her children and grandchildren will be either.

    • Harla says:

Exactly! If her heirs can’t be bothered to spend the day with her then the BM can back the f$ck up.

    • Becks1 says:

Right?? They’re trying to guilt trip Harry about not being there for her bday, and then they’re like “oh and Charles is in Wales and William isn’t visiting her either.”

    • Anne Call says:

Story says that Anne and Sophie will be with her, her daughter and daughter in law.

  5. Harper says:

I’d love to hear Gayle King say, “The funeral was sad for Harry; the talks with the family continue to be unproductive.” FtureFtureKingPetulant would again blow his mind with rage. Harry must be so relieved to be back home with Meghan, who probably baked for him and had Archie make a Welcome Back Daddy sign.

    • Greywacke says:

I love how salty they are that Gayle King. Even Richard Eden dragged her. The RR are pressed like panini about her access to info they don’t have. It is hilarious.

  6. Sarah says:

I saw a tweet about this that said “Man leaves event after it ends” and yep. That’s the story.

    • SarahCS says:

How do you expect to sell newspapers by reporting the plain truth?

    • TeamMeg says:

He may have asked the Queen if she wanted him to stay for her birthday and she said, “Don’t be silly—it was wonderful enough that you came for the funeral! Go home and be with your beautiful family. Give my love to all.” Nice to imagine that.

  7. Over it says:

Oh I see how this blame game guilt trip goes. The Christmas pudding making heirs can scamper off to their country abode but the not worthy of a picture during the Christmas speech 6th in line should stick around. Ammm no.

    • Lemons says:

Right? They showed their true colors when the Sussexes were present, on the ground and working for the family in the UK. Soooo why exactly should they be doing more than anyone else now?

  8. Abby says:

“ Harry also chose to fly from Britain with the rift with his father and brother caused by his decision to emigrate and pour his heart out to Oprah still seemingly unresolved.”

Missed the point y’all! That’s not why there’s a rift. FFS.

    • Frida_K says:

      That pissed me off too.

I don’t think they missed the point, though. I think that is the point that they wanted to make.

Every decent human being sees through them though. They’re delusional and rotten and they go for the most toxic narrative possible. Then they sugarcoat with vomitous drivel about Katie Keen in other accompanying PR hit pieces and violà: another steaming turd eagerly ingested by racists and Kate stans.

“Caused by his decision to…” ?! Nope. Not even close.

  9. Harla says:

So neither Charles nor William can be bothered to spend time with the queen on her birthday just days after she buried her husband?! That just isn’t sitting right with me and imho speaks of how cold and unfeeling C & W truly are.

    • Brielle says:

Lol,this is just not a family..they are coworkers who happen to be related.

    • Harper says:

If I were the Queen I wouldn’t want to spend my birthday with Charles and William. The Queen probably enjoys the company of her ladies in waiting and her dogs. Maybe Andrew and Fergie will come by and Eugenie and Jack will wave from outside with the baby.

      • FicklePickle says:

Yeah, Charles and William in particular seem to be exhausting and uncomfortable to deal with at the best of times. Best to just get some quality Corgi time.

    • Becks1 says:

It does speak to the general dysfunction of the family – but I think it may have been the Queen’s choice. If I were her i’d prefer to spend the day with Andrew (I mean he’s heinous but he’s her favorite, so just going from her perspective that’s probably her preferred visit of the day, you know?) or Eugenie and Jack – I’m sure they’ll stop by.

You know the more I think about it the more I’m struck by how NICE it was for Harry and Meghan to offer Frogmore to the Brooksbanks (even if they’re paying rent) – not only is it a bigger space, but they are close to the Queen, close to her parents, and that can be really helpful in the first few months of a new baby .

      • IRMAVEP says:

Becksc1. It was sweet of Harry, but the Brookbanks only stayed at Frogmore Cottage for under six weeks, before decamping back to Royal Lodge to stay with Andrew and Fergie and await the birth of their baby. A large haulage van was spotted outside F C in the middle of the night, taking the Brookbanks’ furnishings and belongings. Photos of the van appeared in the DM. No explanation was given for their leaving Frogmore Cottage, but as it is isolated in the grounds of Windsor and it is relatively close to where tourists walk, so it may also have been considered a security risk. A woman today managed to scam her way past security guards at Windsor and – getting past all the guards at the various security posts – to make her way inside York Lodge. She even conned the guards to pay for her taxi cab, saying she was having lunch with Prince Andrew. Like a scene from The Crown! Security is only as good as it isn’t – if you see what I mean. So Harry would have stayed there solo in the past week or so. How lonely he must have felt alone at FC in the middle of Windsor Great Park. And frankly, what a waste of time that whole trip to the UK has been. It changed nothing. The only one to come out of it with any dignity was Harry.

      • TeamAwesome says:

IRMAVEP, it was reported that all three Brooksbanks moved back to Frogmore. I think they had moved to Royal Lodge because of the bubble system in the UK for COVID isolation and wanted her parents in the bubble so they could help take care.

      • Chelsea says:

@IRMAVIP i believe Eugenie and Jack moved back into Frogmore Cottage after the holidays. The paps claimed the pic they took of them coming home from the hospital with their new baby was to FC so i think they were there this past week

    • Capepopsie says:

Maybe that is her own request, just as she preferred to sit
by herself during the church service?

      • Isabella says:

Also, the Queen has Anne and Andrew and their families. She’s not alone except through choices. This happens to all families. Sometimes we celebrate birthdays ahead of time or have more than one cake thing so that everybody. can honor the day. I doubt the Queen cares, so soon after her husband’s death.

  10. Ginger says:

I don’t believe he spoke to his father at all while he was there. And what we saw of Harry and William talking was it. I saw a report that his whole family was pretty cold towards him and that I believe. I think Harry will be there for the Queen but once she dies he is done. Charles clearly doesn’t want a relationship with Harry.

I think he spent some time with the Queen and visited some friends and then left.

  11. Cessily says:

They actually had tabloid photographers with huge telephoto lenses capturing every car leaving a supposedly secure private parking lot for people needing extra security. I don’t see this going well. Didn’t California tighten there laws?
When does this behavior turn into criminal stalking? No one has the right to know his travel plans except the security teams that need to be prepared.

    • Snuffles says:

The laws are regarding private residences. Celebrities are fair game out in public. That’s why the only pap
shots we see of Meghan and Harry are when they are in LA visiting offices.

I know for fact that LAX employees are constantly tipping off the paparazzi on the arrivals and departures of celebrities. My friend used to date a guy who worked there who did that all the time.

      • Cessily says:

I know it happens, it just seems wrong especially when it is so obviously a security concern.

  12. GuestWho says:

“Harry also chose to fly from Britain with the rift with his father and brother caused by his decision to emigrate and pour his heart out to Oprah still seemingly unresolved.”

F’ing exhausting. If only he had stayed within the warm, accepting bosom of his family, everything would be fine. If he could only accept that the lives of his wife and children are totally expendable, his weak-willed father and his ragey selfish brother wouldn’t be mad at him.

    • equality says:

If he waited around for Will to stop being mad and Charles to get back from Wales, how long would he be there? If it were Meghan they would be saying why hasn’t she gone home yet, she has a small child. Are dads not supposed to care about being with their children?

      • booboocita says:

If he’d had to wait for Charles to return from Wales, a week or two, maybe. If he’d had to wait for Baldimort to stop being angry, he’’d still be there when Princess Montecito was getting ready for her prom.

  13. Lola says:

Will he have to quarantine at home? Thoughts? To keep Meg and Archie safe?

    • Snuffles says:

If he’s not vaccinated already, yes.

    • SurelyNot says:

A self imposed isolation of 10 days is recommended though not required. There is no chance he hasn’t already been vaccinated (especially given that so many are refusing them). He also had to have a negative test prior to departure. I’m sure he will test frequently on his return as well.

  14. Myra says:

So they made a big deal about the use of HRH and taxpayer-funded security, then they sent the Met to meet him at the airport? I mean, it’s great they did that but it contradicts with their initial justification for stripping the Sussexes of their security as non-working royals. They should have just said that they can’t afford the security costs when overseas but can cover it when in UK. And certainly not cut it right away.

    • Brielle says:

They didn’t want Meg and Archie to benefit from it..

    • Cessily says:

That would have resolved a lot of issues, and maybe they would have chosen to stay secluded in Scotland or someplace to get things settled initially. Who knows but the entire scenario of ignoring things hoping they settle down or go away is not working at all. The BRF needs a better strategy.
As for the security I do wonder if the MET was secondary to his personal security? I would think his personal security would be more up to date about immediate threats so they would retain authority. Either way I am sure the Sussex’s will be paying that cost also but that won’t be reported except in the small script in the last sentence of the article highlighting the enormous cost.

      • SurelyNot says:

His personal security would not have any authority on foreign soil — neither to be armed (in any way, even non lethal forms) or to detain or neutralize a threat. Without the involvement of local LEO’s they would just be burly tourists so to speak.

      • Rita says:

It will be the other way round his American security team will have no up to date knowledge of threats and risk only the MET will, this is the royal family’s way of keeping tabs on Harry when he is in the UK and avoiding the embarrassment of the Americans saying they are protecting the most threatened and at risk royal on UK soil plus they don’t want an American security team given free access to BP, KP and CH without being escorted by British protection officers the Brits want to be in control on their own soil not be led by the Americans

      • Cessily says:

I understand that, but there are people cleared and vetted for international security not just domestic and can travel to countries they are already cleared in.

      • Cessily says:

@rita actually I was not assuming or stating his security would be all American. Sorry if I didn’t clarify. I only meant to state that his personal security probably are is an International company. Either way I’m sure they will get the bill soon and the press will publish it.

  15. equality says:

I’m sure those who aren’t present can video chat with the Queen to wish her happy birthday, same as, Charles and Will if they wish to speak with Harry. It’s like these writers don’t recognize the pandemic or any modern conveniences except when it suits their purpose. I’m certain that Kate has her children very busy making cards to post on Twitter.

  16. Phoenix says:

Today when I read that Harry is back…I just hope that Gayle will ask Harry again how his trip went in UK. I bet it will blow up Kate the peacemaker PR lol

    • North of Boston says:

I’m hoping that Harry does whatever quarantining he needs to. And that then he and Meghan just go about their business, living their best lives, making a living while working to make the world a better place.

The Sussexes don’t need the RR, the family including Charles and William all know how to get in touch with them. Phillip’s funeral was really the only “probably must attend” thing that would have pulled Harry back to the UK. No need to go back there now for the foreseeable future.

H/M don’t need the royals or the RR or the BM and they have no need to feed that beast. Let that beast alternatively starve … with no new info on H/M and the little Sussexes, and choke … on it’s own twisted, conflicting lives.

      • bamaborn says:

Totally agree. Get on with your life and work, the others will stew and simmer in their own toxic mess.

  17. Woke says:

It must be hard for Harry to come to the realization that he must cut off his father. At least when Meghan cut off Tom she still had Doria.

    • Soupie says:

Many of us have had to [finally] cut off family and friends. It’s very difficult even in the face of egregious long term abuse. It’s surreal. Sometimes I still don’t believe it has to be true. Harry is still in the throes of that surreal realization imo. Every time he has contact, like at the funeral, the point is driven home.

      • Beana says:

Totally agree. Those toxic relationships (at least in my personal experience) usually come with years and years of gaslighting and learning to doubt the reality in front of your face. Even with evidence that someone is actively harming you, there’s still that constant nagging doubt: “Did it really happen? Could I be wrong?” And in a way you WANT to be wrong because it would mean they do actually love you unconditionally.

I feel for Harry so much. His mother is gone, his father and brother throw him to the wolves, his grandmother enables. That’s a lifetime of hurt to heal.

      • Soupie says:

        @Beana very well said!

    • Lizzie says:

This must have weighed on him while at his grandfathers funeral. Harry did all he could and if his father effectively turns his back then there is nothing else to do.

  18. Jane Wilson says:

So…they actually don’t want him back. This was the RF’s chance; they had him alone, they had him at a tender family moment, a warm welcome and some thoughtful, caring conversations could have gone far to restore family connections.
    But no.
They want to fight and snipe and indicate at every turn that HE is in trouble…that he’s too awful NOT to be punished.
What a bunch of tragic losers. The future for the fam looks bleak – whereas the future for Harry and Meghan can be whatever they want it to be.

    • equality says:

He was supposed to come back abjectly and apologize to them and say what a big mistake he made and that he was never going back to his wife and children. They don’t want him back without him doing things their way. (Isn’t that how loving families operate?) There was no point to him staying to “mend the rift” because any talking would be unproductive until they acknowledge Meghan and what she went through. Just talking to Harry isn’t going to do the job.

  19. Amy Bee says:

I’m glad he’s back home. I’m convinced that he didn’t have talks with Charles and William and I’m not sure he’s interested in talking to them. He’s already told them what the family has to do to make amends.

    • Amy Bee says:

I get it Ella you’re so confused

      • Alexandria says:

Why is Ella confused about this interview? Or she’s pretending to be confused?

Also be careful all, a flood of suspected bots followed some S Squad twitter accounts. These people are never going to apologize to HM. They prefer war.

      • Soupie says:

Exactly, what else should we expect from brutal thieving historical colonialists? I guess a lot of us thought it could change. Nope. I seriously doubt it. It is what it is. Harry can keep trying but from the comfort and safety of his own life, at his discretion.

  20. LaraW” says:

Funeral was Saturday, right? So covid test Sunday, 3 days gives you Tuesday. Leave Monday night, arrive in California Tuesday.

    US State Department:
Effective January 26, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) will require all air passengers two years of age and over entering the United States (including U.S. citizens and Legal Permanent Residents) to present a negative COVID-19 test, taken within three (3) calendar days of departure.

  21. swirlmamad says:

Glad he’s escaped the viper’s nest….leaving them look like the babbling fools they are who get it WRONG every time. He did what he had to do, and now he’s back at home with his family who loves him. (Too bad for the rest of us that we have to hear their inane analysis of this event for the next 3-4 months.) I hope that H&M can now enjoy the last couple months of Meghan’s pregnancy and prepare for the new little one in peace.

  22. BothSidesNow says:

I would like to point out the hypocrisy of the royal rats 🐀…
Per Page Six: “There’s a way to go. It’s not just Charles and William who want to keep their rapprochement private — but Harry too. No one needs Gayle King reporting on private family matters.”
But it’s perfectly fine for Page Six and the DF to keep uttering lies and grandeur, right!

    • lanne says:

we can’t have that uppity black woman thinking she can talk about royal stuff. Honestly, I think the fact that Harry and Meghan spoke to Oprah and Gayle is a big part of the vitriol. Had they spoken to someone at the BBC, there would still be grudging anger, but much less outrage. The RF don’t want black people meddling in “their affairs”

      • swirlmamad says:

Yup, that is absolutely the reason why. First, they had “one of those uppity Americans” infiltrating their lily-white institution, and then they had TWO “uppity Americans” (and they can’t understand why “those people” should have so much wealth and prestige anyway) sticking their nose where they feel it doesn’t belong.

  23. Merricat says:

Let Bitter Isle moan and complain. Harry’s back and Meghan’s got him.

  24. Anne K says:

I don’t understand. Did the met police send Harry’s security away? It doesn’t seem safe after all we know from the Oprah interview to trust palace security? Did his private security leave him unprotected all these days in the UK?

  25. Sofia says:

Wish him a safe quarantine (if he’s doing it). And yeah I doubt any conversations beyond pleasantries happened.

  26. TheOriginalMia says:

Glad he’s home. We and BM have no idea what went on with Harry and his grandmother. Not like he’s calling them up to tell them. He might have had dinner with her after everyone left on Saturday. Maybe breakfast on Sunday. No one knows and those that do aren’t telling.

As for Charles and William, they know where they stand with Harry. All this kvetching by the BM because William has nothing to feed them about Harry is amusing. Cry more!

I guessed Harry’s American security would hand off to the RPS and I was right.

  27. ThatgirlThere says:

I just picture Harry visiting with Eugenie and Jack and meeting baby August for the first time. Maybe spending time with his granny.

    Bump everybody else.

  28. ABritGuest says:

Harry said on Oprah he felt let down by Charles but seems like he wanted to work through the relationship. He said he loved William & they had been through lots together but relationship is space & time heals wounds. Much nicer then what William has briefed against him (dropped him like a ton of bricks/wanted to exile him to Africa) or what Charles has briefed against his parents (queen was distant mum/Philip was a bully & pressured him to marry Diana who he never loved) and I think he still had a relationship with Philip & has one with the queen. There’s even claims that Charles was on good terms with Diana before she died after their interviews & briefing against each other.

I don’t blame Harry for trying to resolve a relationship with his only living parent. Not sure the firms structure & relationship with the press will permit that though.

  29. Seraphina says:

That picture says it all. Notice the clenched jaw on Willy.

Is this a joke?? PageSix is not only a US publication, it is a NYC rag with a storied history of legendary gossip and it is reduced to writing lifting stories from the DM, and not even bothering to change the terminology??

“Sunny California” WTAF? That is Cali. LAX not “Los Angeles” “returned home to the US???” “Harry’s US return” you mean when he flew home? and, OMG, I am gouging my eyes out…

“HIS BIRACIAL WIFE AND SON ARCHIE”??? only about 40% of the population of NYC is “white” and no one talks like that here anyway please make it stop

The timeline doesn’t make sense here. When you travel from London to California, you go back in time.

If he left Monday night in London, he would arrive 10 hrs later, on Monday night in California – with the time change. Worst case scenario, Tuesday morning London time. If he flew private.

However, there are no overnight flights back to California. I’ve flown that route for years with non Covid reduced schedules. They don’t exist going that direction.

The flights back to CA leave mid morning or early afternoon London time and land late afternoon California time.

    This reeks of BS.

    • Dara says:

Yep. I read the headline and went “that doesn’t sound right”. He had to have left London on Tuesday, probably mid-day, if he did indeed arrive around 1:30pm local LA time yesterday.

    • Kkat says:

He could have changed flights in new york, then flew on to lax.
But yeah if he was doing non stop from Heathrow to lax, which would be safer security wise, there are no overnight flights.

My husband is Danish and I used to fly through heathrow all the time, I’m in Southern California. ( Although my favorite was KLM through Amsterdam)

  32. Chelsea says:

I’m glad he’s back home and so freaking grateful that Meghan was able to avoid all of this mess and stayed home. Babg Girl Sussex is the real MVP.

The British tabloids can try to trash him for leaving but most of their shots theyve tried the last week have failed to gain any traction outside of that island because of how well he handled himself.

  33. Ali says:

Archewell’s new CEO still lives in London, so most likely they had meetings on Monday. Then there’s Travalyst, Invictus, maybe even seeing some friends. He was in self isolation until Saturday, so no surprise he would stay two more days to be able to have at least some meetings.
    Flight left Tuesday mid morning

  34. Isabella says:

I love that the tabloids can’t get actual photos of Harry coming and going. He’s got this thing figured out. H&M are finally in control.

  35. Tashiro says:

Does anyone think the queen is interested in “celebrating” her birthday when her husband has just been buried?

  36. Liz version 700 says:

The security thing is not cool. He was dependent on security from the father who left him hanging with his family after the Royals outed his location in Canada? Oh hell no. I hope he skips the Diana unveiling and lets his crazy relatives visit him if they want to reconnect. Glad he is back home and safe with his family (specifically his US based not crazy family).

  37. A says:

“Prince Charles is at his Welsh home and Prince William is not expected to visit.”

So interesting how neither of these cretins will get bashed in the tabloid press for their utter lack of care and concern for the Queen in her grief. William isn’t even offered an excuse–he’s just flat out not expected to visit. Kate is out shopping with the kids in London and trying out her new PR strategy on Twitter, so she’s not going to show up either. Charles just scuttled off to Wales. I’ll bet that none of the others will be there for the Queen either–not Andrew, or Anne. Maybe Sophie will show up with the grandkids, but aside from that, everyone’s just gone off into their own little corner to do whatever. What purpose is there for Harry to stay, in that case? Not like the Queen’s getting a birthday party or anything.

  38. Well Wisher says:

Harry went to the funeral in a respectful manner and without saying/writing anything execpt a statement in regards to his grandfather quietly. This is how one behaves when attending the last rites of a beloved individual. There were no palace sources since he is a private citizen, lots of whinge and at least one unreasonable demand with the explicit threat of banishment from the family and drama. He managed to be above it and return to his family.
His presence seemed to be a trigger for some individual(s) whom unwittingly confirmed the Sussexes assertions that were made in the Oprah Winfrey interview.
    Good on him.
