Prince Charles & William ‘want to draw a line under Harry & Meghan’ & get back to work

National Service Of Remembrance At The Cenotaph

It’s been sixteen months since the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced their plans to take a step back from full-time royal work. They had an idea for a half-in/half-out scheme which would see them living abroad for most of the year, but returning to the UK for work and family events. That scheme was rejected by the Queen and a full Sussexit commenced. And in the sixteen months which followed, none of the royal reporters could keep their stories straight. Harry abandoned his family, oh no, his family exiled him for good reason. Charles didn’t want to see Harry go, except Charles is happy without Harry around. William is incandescent with rage over Harry for… reasons, but William is also happy that he has the spotlight all to himself. This haphazard messaging obviously extended to the Oprah interview too – the commentators are happy to breeze over the actual accusations and misery from M&H and just pretend that the Windsors are somehow justifiably mad at Harry. To hear the commentators call it, the Windsors still hold all the cards and Harry is super-pathetic. As opposed to Harry being hot, happy, free, successful and rich. So with all that in mind:

Prince Charles and the Duke of Cambridge are ‘fed up’ with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle causing a ‘distraction’ and want to leave them to ‘sort things out on their own’ before any peace talks take place, a royal expert has claimed. Prince William, 38, and his father, the Prince of Wales, 72, ‘want to draw a line under Harry and Meghan’ while they concentrate on ‘getting back to business,’ according to Russell Myers.

Speaking to talkRADIO about the Duke of Sussex, 35, and Meghan Markle, who live with their son Archie, one, in a $14.7million home in Santa Barbara, California,’ the royal expert explained: ‘The rest of the Royal Family are very, very united in trying to get back to business. We have hardly seen them. They have popped up on Zoom calls here and there. But no one has done the real business of monarchy, which is getting out, being among the people and shining a light on different charities, and travelling the world and the Commonwealth.’

It comes after radio host Kevin O’Sullivan commented: ‘There was this suggestion that Charles was all for forgive, forget, heal the rift – but apparently not. If that is his state of mind, I think the British people will be behind him every step of the way. I think most people think Harry does not deserve to be forgiven.’

Russell Myers went on to accuse the Duke and Duchess of Sussex of being a ‘distraction’ to The Firm – particularly noting how the Oprah Winfrey interview went down like a ‘lead balloon.’

‘There will be quite a lot of dissatisfaction in the camp and it remains to be seen whether they will ever be brought back in,’ the royal expert continued. ‘I’m sure that Harry was a bit sheepish seeing the rest of his family at Prince Philip’s funeral. It was the first time he has spoken to many of them since that Oprah Winfrey interview where he accused them of all manner of things. He went back to America with his tail between his legs and who knows what will happen in the future.’

[From The Daily Mail]

Again, this is why I hope Harry does not return to the UK in July for the statue unveiling. These jackholes can’t even keep their stories straight but they will definitely try to push all the stories about Harry being “desperate” to reconcile with William and Kate. They told him to shove off for good reason and they hold all the keen cards and Harry is so miserable. Why be a pawn in all of this psychodrama? Just avoid that bitter island for a long time.

Also: it’s beyond hilarious to me that people are like “no one has even seen Harry and Meghan!” H&M literally had the television event of the year. And whining about how H&M haven’t done anything to help anyone… they co-chaired an international concert for vaccines. While William was playing with sheep.

  1. Gobo says:

LOL. No. They want to get as much mileage out of them as possible because while the tabloids sate their bloodlust on H and M they are not eyeing up William, Kate, or Charles.

    • Elizabeth Regina says:

Of course they do. They need that comparison currency especially in the BM. They are dull, boring and no charisma having and resent Harry and Meghan for their star power. Despite their briefings and muck throwing the Sussexes are thriving and commanding the world stage. Those two, not so much. Of course they wheel out the children but beyond the cuteness, what is there? They killed the golden goose and opened it up to find no golden eggs.

      • JT says:

I think they are eyeing up W,K, and C. You cannot say they are better than H&M if they won’t be better. This guy admits the royals are in the wind not being royals. They need to pay the piper and it’s going to get harder because H&M keep “distracting” everyone from their real, regal service. Even with the royals buying their own press it’s not enough to keep their BM talking about them.

    • Tour-malin says:

‘The rest of the Royal Family are very, very united in trying to get back to business. We have hardly seen them. They have popped up on Zoom calls here and there. But no one has done the real business of monarchy, which is getting out, being among the people and shining a light on different charities, and travelling the world and the Commonwealth.’

I think this quote is not about H&M, but the RF. Anyway, if you read it that way it is even more hilarious LOL

  2. Amelie says:

What a bunch of bitter cows. Lmao. Just embarrassing.

    • Elizabeth Regina says:

Both of them have at least one trait in common. The ability to bear grudges and feel hard done by. Their entitlement and lack of self reflection will be the undoing of them.

    • Gillysirl says:

And the absurd part is they feel fully justified in their actions, like they actually are the saviors of England. All these stories have a similar narrative – How could the island survive without the monarchy? They are essential and doing essential work and practically saving the earth! They really think they are that important and making a real difference in the world.

      • Christine says:

The part I can’t quite figure out is how the royal family are ALL so blind to the fact that the only reason they have THEIR privilege and money is due to centuries of horrific ancestors, while Harry and Meghan are making their own money and way in the world, AND are better at being royal. Please, keep telling us all how horrible Harry and Meghan are for paying their own way in the world, while simultaneously doing more charity, on a global scale, than the rest of them put together.

I can totally get not being remotely interested in the monarchy, but Harry and Meghan are impressive completely WITHOUT the monarchy, and I think that is the actual pea in the proverbial princess’s mattress. If they stop telling everyone how awful Harry and Meghan are, and if people stop believing them, the jig will be all the way up.

  3. Leesa says:

Do you think it’s possible for anyone in the British press to mention that Harry and Meghan live in the US without also mentioning the cost of their home?

    • Charlotte says:

      I know!! 😂

    • Elizabeth Regina says:

No. This is the press that thought Frogmore cottage the servant’s quarters was too good for them. They will continue to seethe over a very beautiful Montecito mansion over looking the sea.

    • Mac says:

I guess the tabs really wanted them to live in a run down shack with no electricity or running water.

    • Louise177 says:

I don’t understand the thought why the cost and size is such a big deal to the British. The Royals live in homes with much more square footage, acreage, and costs which is costing tax payers. Yet Harry and Meghan’s home is so much worse.

      • Greywacke says:

Is it because the British upper classes don’t talk about money because it is vulgar? And therefore linking H&M to the price of their house demonstrates their vulgarity? I don’t know. The tabloid readership isn’t the aristos so I don’t get it.

      • Korra says:

Propaganda has never appealed to anyone’s sense of rationality. The BM likes to bring up the price of the Sussexes’ Montecito home because the BM wants their irrational, bigoted readers to seethe at the Sussexes’ (earned) wealth. In the meantime, the unearned wealth of the BRF goes unmentioned, allowing these same knuckle-dragging readers to prescribe a false sense of class and austerity to the BRF without having to critically think about how that wealth was accumulated.

      • Korra says:

        Duplicate. Please delete.

    • JanetDR says:

But it’s progress! Not a word about bathrooms 😂😂😂 Also, the business of royals is *not* traveling during a pandemic. Or is should be.

    • Sue E Generis says:

At least they’ve stopped mentioning the number of bathrooms!

  4. Merricat says:

They keep saying they want to get on with things, but they’re the ones feeding H&M stories to the racist rota. Less talk, more action, royal family. The clock is ticking.

    • Cecilia says:

Exactly. If they moved on why are we still getting stories about how angry they are with harry? Because beyond the oprah interview i have not seen one story about harry being disappointed with his father or brother. So william and charles should simply move on and so should the tabs by the way.

    • AnnaKist says:

Ah, right. I was going to say, “Get BACK to work? Doesn’t one need to have worked in the first place in order to get back to work?” Charles had been pretty consistent in his princely duties over many years, but Bill there? He couldn’t even manage to turn up for work at his PART-TIME job with the air ambulance service. I think he wants his new job to be to feed stories to the tabloids, paying particular attention to the ones skewering his brother, when not bigging himself up. He’s a bitter, petty, lazy twat.

  5. lunchcoma says:

    Then. Stop. Leaking. About. Them.

Harry and Meghan gave an interview months ago, and now they’re back to doing their work. Charles and William are perfectly able to change the narrative when they want to. It’s clear they don’t.

    • MsIam says:

Harry and Meghan have drawn the line under things and moved on. The Rota is still trying to fan the flames of the feud.

    • UnionSnack says:

So true! Like… It’s 2 months already, come on. How much of good things could they both do? Except playing with sheeps

  6. Maria says:

This is so pathetic I don’t even know where to begin.

They’re literally admitting the rest of the Windsors are sitting on their asses doing nothing but it’s somehow the Sussexes fault because…reasons.

If it’s true that the British people mostly feel Harry should never be forgiven then they deserve the crappy monarchy they get in return. I have a suspicion this is not true but I am not reassured by what I see. And this disturbs me as a person who has studied British history and culture for 20 years and lived there and considered myself an honorary Brit. This whole episode has been so creepy and horrifying to me.

    • Elizabeth Regina says:

Most British people don’t care. We just want to get back to normal. What I am noticing though are the amount of non royal fans who think the RF are a waste of space and wonder why Baldilocks and Karen Middleton are being embiggened every 5 minutes for doing absolutely nothing during lockdown. Most think the monarchy should go when the queen dies.

      • Maria says:

Yeah, I’m hoping it’s just it’s the minority being particularly loud and obnoxious.

      • ElleE says:

@ElizabethRegina and just how are our lovely fellow CB’ers getting on over there in the UK? All well with you and yours? Most fully-vaxed? Locked-downs mostly over? We need a mental health check-in post to catch up…all best and warmest wishes from here (presently on East Coast, USA)

  7. MF1 says:

“they literally co-chaired an international concert for vaccines. While William was playing with sheep.”

LOLOLOL. William is so pathetic and useless. Compared to people affecting real change, he’s a joke.

  8. Rapunzel says:

Hey Chuck? Willyboy? If the Sussexes are a distraction, it’s because you made them one by kicking them out.

What you reap= what you sow.

  9. Elizabeth Regina says:

Those two are an embarrassment. Both of them can never command the world stage or inspire anyone and they know it. They need Harry more than he will ever need them.

  10. Becks1 says:

LOL at the idea that William wants to get “back to work.” he wants to keep avoiding work for as long as possible.

Again though, there’s some shade, right? Because this bit seems to be about the royals:

“We have hardly seen them. They have popped up on Zoom calls here and there. But no one has done the real business of monarchy, which is getting out, being among the people and shining a light on different charities, and travelling the world and the Commonwealth.”

It almost sounds like a warning shot – “get out there William and work, and I don’t mean playing with sheep.”

    • Celia456 says:

@ Becks1 Yes, that’s how I read it. Definite shade at the royals for not visibly working 🤔

    • Rapunzel says:

And it’s a reminder that everyone mad at the Sussexes is basically mad a nearly 40 year old couple decided to earn their own money and stop living off taxpayers…so they could do more charity work.

Stripped of all the trimmings, that is what the anger is about. Even on the BRF’s part…they are mad about this because it shows how little they contribute and how unnecessary their funding is. I honestly think the real rage from the BRF steams from the fact Meg and Harry have shown that royals can get a job and actually work for their patronages.

Let us never forget how stupid this anger is.

    • Izzy says:

That’s how I read it: “we’ve had nothing to write about, get back to work so we at least have some nice photo ops.”

    • Cecilia says:

I mean i feel like we’ve seen william and kate more than ever before but what i read in that particular part is that nobody really cares and therefore they aren’t bringing in the cash.

      • Becks1 says:

I’m interpreting it as “Zoom calls are really old at this point, time to get out there and work.” I know there’s speculation as to whether W&K are vaccinated at this point, but they had no issues traipsing around the country in December when they definitely weren’t vaccinated – so I’m interpreting this as “get out there and work and do something interesting so we can sell papers.”

I think even coverage of “The Feud” between the brothers is getting old because there isn’t anything new to say about it. They need the royals still in the UK to generate interesting news and right now it’s not looking good for them, ha.

      • Sid says:

Becks I am seeing a lot more of those sly comments in the RR articles that CB has been posting about lately. Seemingly fawning over whichever royal is being discussed, but then the RR throws in a subtle or not-so-subtle dig. Yeah, the Piper is not happy with the cheap pennies he’s being tossed right now.

    • Alarmjaguar says:

That is 100% how I read that section, too.

    • Gabby says:

William will get back to work when his new $200,000,000 taxpayer-funded royal yacht is ready.

  11. Lauren says:

If the spare can cause such a distraction just by showing up places that says a lot about the heir and future heir. Stay bitter and pressed guys.

  12. Charlotte says:

It’s was very nice to see, the way people received Prince Harry on stage!! 😋

  13. C-Shell says:

Isn’t this old, desiccated fossil one of the lying RRs who were punked in that video commenting on the Oprah interview before it was aired? 🙄

    • Agreatreckoning says:

It’s a lying RR alright but I believe the 4 were the 2 Arbiters, Seward and Richard Fitzwilliams. That punked video is still excellent.

  14. Nina says:

Well then do it already! Draw a line and get back to your life. M&H certainly have

  15. Jegede says:

How anyone can look themselves in the mirror and declare themselves ‘a royal expert’ after the non-stop contradictory s-h-i-tshow of the past 2 weeks is a mystery.

And remember, Harry was only sighted ONCE when he set foot in Blighty for his grandpa’s funeral.

Pls let baby Alexandra Mountbatten-Windsor be delivered 3 days before statute unveiling.🙏🙏🙏🙏

    • Celia456 says:

My favourite fantasy is that Harry pays off the sculptor and installs the statue in his backyard in Cali 😮😊

    • Lori says:

I think they should go with a completely non royal name the new baby. And something that’s not at all on the british betting list. My personal suggestion is Poppy Harrison Windsor Mountbatten. In that way if the RF decides to strip them of the Sussex titles, they can fling the Windsor name back with it.

      • Jegede says:

Well, I like the names Archie & Alex together.

Plus, on a superficial level, Queen Alexandra was a babe.😉

Best looking female consort ever. 😎

Completely burying unfortunate consort duo – Queen Mary & Queen Mum Elizabeth.🤐

      • (The OG) Jan90067 says:

Considering they chose “Archie”, a total non-royal name (and not short for anything), I’m betting Baby Montecito will be given the same kind of name.

I still like Doriana, or Frankie (for Frances, Diana’s middle name).

Archie and Frankie have a good sound together 😊

    • Truthiness says:

Harry can zoom call it in! It’s just a statue ffs. For the home that she had so much drama and betrayal in. Working on vaccinating those with no access is a far better tribute to her spirit and legacy.

  16. MsIam says:

“Harry does not deserve to be forgiven”? For what exactly? Making his own life? Calling out his family’s racism and mistreatment of his wife and son? None of these royal boot lickers would stand for this treatment and they know it. But someone needs to tell the other royals they are making a grave mistake in shunning Harry and it will come back to haunt them.

    • HeatherC says:

Yes. That’s exactly what he can’t be forgiven for. He was supposed to stand for the treatment because he’s “just” a spare and his wife isn’t white. They needed to know their place.

Instead they left and made their own place where they don’t need permission or forgiveness!

    • Cessily says:

No the few who have had negative comments and feedback from the the public for their actions and words have gone hysterical on social media blaming any one Sussex or pro Sussex for harassment and fear for their safety.. Really? It was a week or so of bad articles suck it up it is your culture after all. Hypocrisy thy name is………

    • Laugh or Cry says:

They mean for going against this cruel system of white supremacy and calling out racists and racism. That is what they mean he will never be forgiven It is a belief system/religion/a god for them.

  17. Eurydice says:

I thought the “We have hardly seen them” is about the RF. The sentence is followed by “no one has done the real business of monarchy,” an interesting dig.

Unless H&M caused the coronavirus, I don’t think they’re the ones keeping the RF from traveling the globe to visit Commonwealth countries. Coronavirus and laziness. But if Charles and William want to get back to work, by all means, go right ahead – nobody said “no.”

    • Gail Hirst says:

I thought they had to be invited to a Commonwealth country. And then that country has to pay for … everything. Even if they take a break for some private time, we have to pay for their lodging.
If Prime Minister Trudeau were to invite any of them to Canada, he could kiss his career goodbye, I think.
I cannot imagine any country, Commonwealth or Not would want a visit from them right now. Would want or could afford to incur the expense.
If they paid their own way and just showed up, I don’t think there would be crowds in the streets, or even a small, tasteful welcome mat……..

      • Gabby says:

OMG do you mean the Commonwealth countries have been paying for all those royal tours over the years? That’s despicable.

  18. Woke says:

This spin is probably the closer to the actual state of mind of Charles and William. They are desperate to put the interview behind and pretend it never happened. They have no intention to make peace with Harry.

For the statue we are seeing it from a PR point of view when Harry probably will make a decision from his heart likely he want to be there because that’s his mother and he participated to the making if the statue.

  19. Rapunzel says:

This is definitely the new crisis managers at work.

For weeks now, they’ve been yelling that the Sussexes are disingenuous with their work. That all Meg wants is fame and she made Harry betray his family for celebrity and he is crying into his beach towel in dreary Montecito.

Now, the Sussexes have gone from glum, unhappy folks who don’t know duty….to folks who are working so hard and making such power moves that they are…distracting the FK and FFK? Someone is shifting the narrative.

    • Chica says:

I’m hoping he does a private visit before or after. Let the Keens be front and center. Harry moved on and he does not need this. Let Keens carry on with the performative behavior.

    • Laugh or Cry says:

And the new spin per Washington Post, is they now want to be Oprah… Their paternal sides are vile. Tragic.

  20. Amy Bee says:

The royal rota is still under the impression that Harry went back to the UK for a reconciliation. He went back for his grandfather’s funeral, that’s all.

  21. Moxylady says:

So. Do it then. Just – do it. Stop dragging them into your narrative if you want it to be all about you. Do the work then. No one is stopping you. Prince Pathetic.

  22. Myra says:

It’s been almost two months since the interview and more than a year since they stepped back from royal duties, Charles and William still have been unable to draw a line under Harry and Meghan. Unfortunately, the media will never allow them to shine in their own right. The shadows of the Sussexes will always loom over their work.

  23. Noodle says:

I know they do it intentionally, but do the authors of the articles in the DM have to put the price of their house in every single story? Can you imagine that flying in ANY other context? “Linda, who purchased her house for $340,000 in 2012, won her case against the restaurant for unlawful termination.” “Randy, whose house cost $39,999 when he bought it in 1970, was met with applause and well wishes when he retired from Boeing yesterday after 42 years of employment.”

    • Lizzie says:

Or could they mention the number of homes Charles and the other brother have and their size and value. And how many servants at each one.

      • BothSidesNow says:

@ Lizzie, that’s what I want to see!! Instead of always harping on the mortgage that they took out in CA, why not talk about the homes that were “gifts” to the rest of the bunch and how much Keen Doucheness spent with tax payer dollars in not only her ugly clothing, but renovations on multiple properties and the size and cost of each one!! Harry and Meghan are similar to non royals that have a mortgage.

And yes, please do pretend to work Baldimort as you have done nothing for the last 20 years and that seems to be perfectly fine with these so-called royal experts and RR!! But I do think that there was shade there in regard to the RF getting back to work, or actually doing some work.

      • KW says:

they squeaked out a mention of Kathy’s $12,000 ugly necklace (and matching earrings) probably picked by Rose, given by WeeWilly!!!! What a burn.

      • Laugh or Cry says:

And please include ALL of the stolen property they have looted over the centuries!

    • HeatherC says:

Prince Charles, known to stay in Clarence House worth an approximate 76.5 million, begrudges his son buying his own house worth 14 million with his own money, while BRitish taxpayers subsidize Prince Charles’ entire life. How dare his son have thoughts of independence! That American woman has clearly influenced him.

    • SarahCS says:

I’ll endorse the approach if they start doing it for ALL royals each time they are mentioned. That would be fun.

      • lanne says:

the Queen returned to her home at buckingham palace, with over 700 rooms, worth an estimated 1.7 billion…

    • Cessily says:

Thank you all.. laughter is the best medicine.

    • Rose says:

It’s ridiculous. When I worked in a school, a few years ago we had a teachers strike. Someone posted a letter in our local newspaper calling out a car in the parking lot—it was mine—as proof that teachers don’t need raises. They went and looked up the sticker price of my car when it was new—“teachers don’t need a raise when they drive 70k cars.”

My car was made in 2001. I bought it in 2014.

It’s the oldest car in the lot.

      This is the same thing.

It’s not about the money that was spent. This is just another way to identify someone as “uppity” or “get back in your place”.

  24. Lizzie says:

God, the whole family are just keen aren’t they?

  25. Soupie says:

That’s quite a standing ovation Harry got from us Americans. Oh but us Americans “don’t support him.” Alright, sure, “keep telling yourself that Christy.” (Romy and Michelle quote.)

    • Lizzie says:

Reminds me of the standing ovation he got on their farewell tour. He is loved everywhere except for his family.

      • Courtney B says:

I remember a visit to the White House during the Obama years. Michele and Jill were big on military families and during a luncheon, brought Harry out as a surprise. The place went bonkers! He had, and has, so much charisma and charm.

    • bamaborn says:

That was something! Almost like people know sincerity when they see it.

  26. Keanu's Kitten says:

The last time I checked, the Monarch is the ‘head’ of the church of England… so you’re telling me that they are happy for it to be known that the future kings and heads of the church of England do not believe in forgiveness?!

It’s the hypocrisy for me … isn’t the pinnacle of Christian based on the action of forgiveness?!

    • ElleE says:

My only take-away about CoE is that they plan for months, choose the most elaborate of costumes, make the difficult decision of which pilfered jewels from the royal vault will beat suit the occasion and then sit through an elaborate cathedral ceremony, trying to manage their yawns until it is over. Christianity and forgiveness don’t make headlines, so who knows what they believe in.

Anywhoooo, when a man first scopes out a territory (Canada) as far away from his family as he can get, and then inexplicably grabs his wife and baby and leaves the Commonwealth completely to make a permanent move to the Wild West (Cali😂)? He ain’t coming’ home ever and he sure as hell ain’t askin’ for forgiveness for anything. Has the Royal Rota ever seen a Western with Redford or Eastwood?

  27. aquarius64 says:

Harry got a standing ovation because he is standing by his American wife and half American son and soon to be daughter. He’s not dumping them like the BRF and the rota rats want.

  28. Vanessa says:

I Think the British tabloids know that they only way for people to given a damn about the two heirs is for them to mention Meghan and Harry . The Cambridge’s can’t even get a decent Pr for their Anniversary without mention Meghan and Harry . The more those salted royal reporters screaming about how Irrelevant the Sussex’s are the more people will be paying attention to them most sane people realize that the Sussex’s did the right things for their family . Only the haters and the royal reporters are screaming about betrayal it wasn’t betrayal when Kate let a three years lie about Meghan continued to this day it’s wasn’t betrayal when someone in the royal household told a reporter about Meghan mental health issues.

  29. Rai says:

Harry & Meghan are building a billion dollar empire. Professionally, they are laying the ground work for how financial independence can be obtained for royalty. While William, the Chosen One, gets to play with sheep and beg for money from his father.

Of course he feels trapped and bitter. What I don’t get is why the British public doesn’t feel trapped and bitter.

Personally, I sincerely hope the family is able to heal the rift and move forward. If nothing else, it appears they will need jobs in the future

    • MsIam says:

They can go work for Harry, lol. Nah they’ve got tons of money hidden all over the world. They could disappear into oblivion and still be fine. I think that’s partly why Harry was so bitter about how they cut him off. He knew it was done out of spite and not necessity.

      • JanetDR says:

Excellent reason to be bitter. I can’t get beyond that.

      • Dilettante says:

Especially about no longer funding his security! Even after the death by a thousand cuts from his loving family, this last cut must’ve really stung.

  30. ElleE says:

Guys! Twitter just sent me an update on an account I reported for Sussex hate tweets. The msg said the investigation found the acct. “violated our rules against Hateful Conduct”

I honestly don’t even remember what the twt was, but the old White man in the pfp is smoking a cigar so you get the idea.

Twitter probably does nothing except delete the tweet- feel good anyway. I don’t know the Duchess, so if anyone here does: please tell her and thank her for taking all of these hits for the team. I have two daughters, future members of the Meritocracy and targets of Patriarchal slut-shaming (they are 9 and 12 now, but you know it is coming) and we are all in it together.

    • Cessily says:

I have several dozen of those.. the one acct had multiple variations of the same exact account. It is targeted hate and I personally have seen the veiled death threats and blatant ones. More people need to report it and the platforms need to do better. Glad to hear you are reporting and getting results👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 As you said , “We are all in this together”

  31. Sofia says:

This kind of reads like a threat towards Charles and William? Especially the whole bit about how the royals aren’t being seen doing the business of the monarchy? Okay not threat but maybe shade but definitely something. It reads like the whole “okay we want you guys to start being seen out and about because we’re running out of outrage for the Oprah interview.”

  32. M says:

This is amazing. The palace must be so pissed he received this reception. Go on Harry.

    • MsIam says:

Its their worst nightmare come true. Its why they wanted to send them to “Africa” or Malta or Antarctica. Anywhere but the US.

  33. Cessily says:

“If that is his state of mind, I think the British people will be behind him every step of the way. I think most people think Harry does not deserve to be forgiven.”

Really? Now the tabloids and firm decide if a person is “deserving” of forgiveness? I believe that judgement lies with an individual and their god and or conscientious depending on beliefs.
So many things I want to say, but I believe there is a special place in hell for people like this.

No one has stopped the BRF from doing anything! They have been free to advocate for every patronage, football topic, or to help in anyway during this entire pandemic.
Absolutely nothing has stopped their work but them! The fact that they chose to do the absolute least possible is fine if that is what the British people are happy paying for I don’t care, but to go after a family for not living off those funds and under your thumb is what is unforgivable. To act like it is shameful to chair an organization that wants to end this pandemic worldwide and recognizes that is unforgivable. Just seeing the healthcare workers and first responders enjoying a night of normal after the unimaginable emotional and psychological toll this pandemic has taken on anyone in those fields was enough to bring tears even in the short clips we were shown.
As for the home in California, if you don’t pay for it it is not your concern.. focus on the wasted housing in all the Royal properties that are not collecting rents. I have read housing is an immediate British issue of importance. Then there is PA, after him the Sussex’s are saints. (Almost forgot the commissioning of the SS pandemic for the BRF is a must, forget the current UK circumstances)
Let the people celebrate any hope of an end to this, we don’t want to deal with the tabloids and RR that have nothing positive to contribute to any society.

    • Brittany says:

Princess Sofia of Sweden worked *in a hospital* during the pandemic. No one is stopping Will or Charles (or Kate) from volunteering their time in actual lifesaving efforts. But they’d rather be figureheads grandly waving their pens around and folding paper and saying “thank you” over Zoom. They don’t even have to meet Sofia’s standard. They could hand out meals and backpacks to those in need — like Harry and Meghan did. They do SO LITTLE.

  34. ThatgirlThere says:

Charles is a terrible father and a worse human.

  35. Nina says:

Man, PWT just cannot catch a break. His current signature issue got overshadowed by the Man U fans’ invasion of the Old Trafford pitch over the weekend. Couldn’t happen to a nicer person. Bawhahahah.

  36. lanne says:

The royal ratchets are following the joseph goebbels playbook: repeat a lie often enough and it becomes truth. They have nothing else to do but create this “drama” between Harry and his father/brother that exists only in the ratchets heads. They are also following the abuser’s playbook: “How DARE you leave us and make your own life! You’re NOTHING without us.” The problem with that strategy is that harry and Meghan have clearly shown, over and over again, that they are plenty something without the RF.

  37. Curious says:

All i can think about this, is William/Charles was place in the naughty chair.. They was so busy leaking things to the press ,they forgot to do real work.cause no matter how much they tried to hurt/destroy Harry/Meghan,the people that matters wants Harry/Meghan to be part their Projects. No one seems to be asking Charles/William to do anything that is global worthy. its seems like all the negative press they tried , to bring down Harry/Meghan made them more positive popular around the world.. so i guess and i hope Charles/William might stop wasting their time feeding the press negative things about them.

  38. ROSA says:

in 2014 the Queen said in her Christmas speech. ‘For me, the life of Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace, whose birth we celebrate today, is an inspiration and an anchor in my life. A role model of reconciliation and forgiveness, he stretched out his hands in love, acceptance and healing.”

Sophie’s been forgiven for selling out the royals, Sarah, the same. Charles has had his cheating whitewashed and as for Andrew…. enough said. Yet Harry isn’t deserving of forgiveness…

How can Charles or William be authentic representatives of the church of England. So much bitterness, jealousy and hate.

  39. Randie says:

“…no one has done the real business of monarchy, which is getting out, being among the people and shining a light on different charities, and travelling the world and the Commonwealth.”

This says it all. Charles, William and etc. are seething with jealousy over H & M. They are FUMING over the attention they are getting.
The Firm needed Harry to fail. They needed him to come crawling back.
    Nope!
    Not happening!
This Vax Concert is going to show up the Firm’s innate jealousy big time.

    • Gail Hirst says:

They need to accept Plan A failed..Harry is not gonna fail, nor will he come crawling.
They need to go with Plan B…
What’s that you say? There is no Plan B?
      LOLOLOLOLOL
      Too bad, so sad…NOT

      • iconoclast59 says:

No, no, no… Plan A has been to be as horrible and cruel as possible to H&M. I shudder to think of what the BRF and RR would dream up for Plan B. They need to just take the L (loss), sit down, shut up, and eat their food.

  40. Jan says:

CBS won the network TV ratings, Super Bowl, Oprah’s Interview and I can’t remember the third show, and it’s only May.
The applause Harry received, reminds me of when he was at the Youth Show and Meghan came on stage.
Poor tampon Charlie and Cain, with all the British tabloids at their disposal and they can’t stop the Sussexes trending World Wide.

    • Cessily says:

The show VaxLive has not even aired yet.. we have only been give minimal clips and releases so I will be very interested to see those ratings. Also I can’t wait to see something positive and almost normal happening. (Even if it is taped)

      • Jan says:

VaxLive is airing on CBS, NBC, ABC at 8, Fox is showing it at 11, and a few other networks, so it is going to be which network you prefer.
This is a fundraiser, how much money they raised is more important than the ratings.

      • Cessily says:

@jan I just think it will be interesting and also I want to see the fundraising exceed all goals. Sorry did not mean to make ratings the issues or focus. The world needs hope and I pray that it is taken that way.

  41. kelleybelle says:

Then shut up and do it. Why must they announce it?

  42. mlouise says:

It sounds like : Kodak (circa a few years after digital camera began to be a thing), we will just draw the line with Digital and continue to do things our way…. crickets… when you draw the line to exclude innovation, to choose to keep doing things your way, you can… but it may lead to the end of the line.

Kodak was always the example for what happens if you ‘refuse’ to deal with innovation.

    You become archaic and disappear.

That line may just show who will be relevant in 20 years, those below it in the mind of those above.

  43. atorontogal says:

So when they dress up in their undeserved uniforms and top hats, do they look in the mirror and shudder? Do they honestly think it’s a good idea to wear all these costumes? Do other monarchy’s do this too?

    • iconoclast59 says:

Oh, yeah, other monarchies bedeck themselves in tiaras, sashes, and medals at formal events, just like the BRF. The other royal houses of Europe are probably anxious as they watch this all go down. If the UK and Commonwealth countries decide that keeping the royals is more bother than it’s worth, what’s to stop the people in those other countries from starting a similar debate? If I were Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden, King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands, Queen Letizia of Spain, etc, I’d be calling or emailing Charles and William, saying, “What the #$%& are you doing?!?! Knock it off! You’re going to ruin it for ALL of us!”

      • lanne says:

I just had a flash memory of a Beverly Hills Cop movie, I forget which one. Eddie Murphy shouts at a party: “Party’s over! Max fucked it up for everybody!”

I’m imagining someone shouting at a gathering of monarchs: “monarchy’s over in Europe! Chuck and Wills fucked it up for everybody!” And all the monarchs groaning and pulling off their sashes.

  44. MyJobIsToPrincess says:

    beeeeeeeeeeeee (like a sheep)
    That’s all I got & I love Harry & Meghan

  45. AMJ says:

William wants to ‘get back to work’. LOL. He never started actually working in the first place, just did the bare minimum to satisfy his elders. And did it without any effort or conviction.

    • kelleybelle says:

And Harry and Meghan left more than a year ago. Sounds like they’re pissed off at yet another Sussex success.

  46. Coco says:

If this story is correct about their state of mind regarding their son or brother (and grandson or nephew), what an incredibly cold, cruel way to treat Harry. They really do function more as a business than a family if they act like Harry quit and there’s no need to think about him again. I feel that part of the reason that Harry agreed to do the Oprah interview is as a last-ditch effort to get his father to finally take his calls. I hope Harry has the support and solace of his chosen family as his family of origin continues to scapegoat him on a global scale.

    • Jan says:

No I think Harry was tired of the palaces lying about them, and was throwing down the gauntlet, that this is the start, and put his family on noticed, he is willing to rip the masks off the leakers(family).

      • Coco says:

Harry seems to be the most empathetic of the Windsors, with the highest emotional intelligence, but he might be having a hard time realizing that the others in his family aren’t built like that. As he has said, he only realized how weird his upbringing was while with Meghan, which is relatively recent. Maybe he still has a desire for his family to realize it, but perhaps some of them have and prefer the power of the monarchy to authentic human connection to their family.

    • Cessily says:

I think they are as cold as they see or worse. I don’t recall any reaction out of them when the open letter she wrote about their miscarriage was printed. The tabloids did not even give the a reprieve.

    • Ainsley7 says:

Charles only stopped taking his calls for a short period in early 2020. Harry said that Charles had begun taking his calls again in the interview.

  47. TheOriginalMia says:

Why even mention Harry & Meghan? Just work. Promote yourselves. Stop worrying about Harry & Meghan since they are so irrelevant to the monarchy.

  48. RedWeatherTiger says:

They are blaming their lack of work on Harry and Meghan. That’s pretty clever.

We have not been able to do to ANYTHING for the last year + because they left! And we have been consumed by their absence, which we both wanted and needed to happen, and their absence has caused **us** to be absent. It’s clearly THEIR fault.

It’s like Baldimort pretending that an online boycott is DOING something…the absence of action IS the action.

  49. Mina_Esq says:

Lol at “work”. Again, Harry is involved in the most important cause of the moment.

  50. Hollah says:

So… they finally decided to read the room? Draw the line and carry on fellas.

  51. Snuffles says:

Oh for F**ks sake! Just DO it! Get on with your work and leave Harry and Meghan to do theirs.

And keep their name out your mouths. Stop comparing. It’s apples and oranges. The Sussex’s are global, the Windsors have the UK and will probably continue to be unjustifiably wealthy until the day they die. They should be happy with that.

    • Dee Kay says:

Imagine being so consumed by hatred and jealousy of your own family member that you cannot enjoy an enormous fortune, castles and servants galore, and the prospect of being crowned a monarch one day!!!!!!!! Geez, BRF, just focus on what you HAVE (which is literally more than anyone else in the world has!!!) and not what you LOST (i.e., who you drove out of the country)!!!

  52. one of the Marys says:

The reporters need M&H to remain a distraction because they need the clicks. They will continue to feed the storyline of a feud and disharmony. I actually do think Charles and William would like to draw a line under this past year and Move On but the tabloids won’t allow it. The great sin of M&H that cannot be forgiven is pulling back the curtain and undoing the family narrative. There are many factors at play of course but defying the family identity is huge.
But I do lol at the remarkable ability to witness the same events and come to a completely nonsensical conclusion. In no way did Harry return to Cali with his tail between his legs, for crying out loud! He was always poised and calm. William was the one who could not maintain his composure.

  53. booboocita says:

That short clip of the VaxLive concert is giving me LIFE. Harry looks and sounds delicious. Love, love, LOVE that he got a standing ovation! I’m eagerly awaiting the megaton nuclear explosion over on Salty Bitter White Island, both in the press and at Sandringham, when the concert airs next Saturday, May 8.

  54. Liz version 700 says:

Fantastic idea! Stop leaking stories about your son/brother and his family and move on… leave them alone and go back to ruling bitter island without letting the words Harry or Meghan pass your lips!

  55. adri3nne says:

LMAO at the comments on that twitter post. All the bitters are insisting that the audience of frontline workers, who gave a long and audible standing ovation, actually have no idea who he really is and were only clapping for him because they were told to and the rest is fake audience noise

  56. Laugh or Cry says:

Neither paternal side is worth a hill of beans. #SAD

  57. MerlinsMom1018 says:

If I see “14.7 million dollar home” one more time…

  58. Agreatreckoning says:

I personally believe most people completely understand why he left and don’t think he’s done anything he needs to be forgiven for. I also don’t believe Charles & William are having these conversations together. With all of the articles that were coming out from the Middleton’s-Uncle G/BM/Cambridge’s speculating that William should leap frog Charles-I’m guessing William & Co. want to make it sound like he and Charles are working together.

  59. Chelsea says:

Delusional comments like this explain why so many royalists were having breakdowns on twitter today. They REALLY wanted to believe that Harry went back to the US with his “tail between his legs” and was so embarrassed and miserable. Seeing him happy, thriving, and supported in his new home is driving them insane.. I’ve never seen anything like this. Scores of people losing thier minds because a married man put his wife and childs health and happiness before everything else and didnt end up living in a box because of it.

Also lol at Russell admitting the taxpayer funded royals have done jack all this year while trying so hard to convince everyone that they really want to get back to work they have just been distracted by big bad Harry..meanwhile harry has multiple jobs and has helped secure tens of millions of dollars to vaccinate people in low income countries. Womp womp

  60. Mooshe1 says:

Drawing a line? Harry and Meghan haven’t been doing anything to Charles and William. The distraction is not H&M’s fault. The other royals are boring.

  61. February-Pisces says:

Why can’t Willie, keen and Camilla’s tampon just focus on their own damn jobs and let harry and Meghan do the same? Are they still clinging on to hope that harry will abandon his wife and children to come back to his abusers.

I know they are desperate for him to come back for the statue unveiling but I don’t think it’s gonna happen. I know keen will be desperate to see him again so she can get dolled up for him hoping he will notice her.

Anyway Charles is a weak ass man. He’s gotten involved in this smear campaign to get rid of Meghan when she did nothing to him. But Kate, who’s entire family has basically worked with the press to get his ass off the throne, is completely ok with him. Seriously wtf, I mean the middletons were clearly behind the ‘skip a generation’ campaign when George was born. But of course his white daughter in law who basically wants him to die ASAP is better than Meghan. Twat.

  62. Noor says:

The royals and the tabloids are busy resetting reality.

    Who leaks?

The royals leak. But they used the Oprah interview to beat Prince Harry for leaking

Who were the original Duchess Doolittle and Prince Workshy?

Kate and William from 2013 till 2017 were dubbed by the tabloids as Duchess Doolittle and Prince Wills Workshy . They did not become fulltime royals until 2017 and even then they had scant royal engagements. For eg in 2017 instead of attending the Commonwealth event, William went skiing and Kate stayed at home to look after her children

William and Kate were the reluctant Royals and did not step up their game until faced with Megan ferocious work ethics and sheer productivity.. Kate felt intimidated and William felt threatened and overshadowed by Prince Harry and Meghan.

Who benefitted the most after Prince Harry and Meghan exited royal life?

Kate and William were transformed by the tabloids into Catherine the Great and William the injured party, Willian the dutiful.

  63. NotSoSimpleTaylor says:

Nothing is stopping Charles and William from getting back to work. The problem is no one is interested in the royal family without Harry as a part of it. More importantly too many people know the truth about how Harry was treated by his father and brother and the British media can’t hide it. So they can return to work at any point. They only need to be willing to face scrutiny for their actions instead of hiding them.

    • True says:

Will they ever face scrutiny without the BM turning on them at some point? I think it could happen if they tire of no Sussex news and less funds because of it. They are sitting on a lot regarding the rest of the royal family.

    • Saucy&Sassy says:

NSSTaylor, what I can’t understand is that if anyone wants to copy H&M, why don’t they try do something to spotlight a charity to get donations? If they pared down the number of patronages they have and focus on a much smaller number, they could do this. I’m not talking about a one shot appearance. Spend three or four months highlighting the charity in various ways–but always with the charity front and center. I don’t understand why they haven’t been doing this for the 10-20 years. It’s never too late to start and they could do some good. They could WORK at being relevant. And, as you said, they would face scrutiny. The public would get past that if the brf just carried on, and it wouldn’t be pleasant at first. Well, they need to suck it up.

  64. Roisin says:

Ugh…go ahead y’all. Like something was stopping you from moving forward with your snooze-a-rama?

  65. It’s about time the both of you get back to work. First order of the day: tell your royal rota to stop smearing Meghan and Harry. Majority don’t believe the British press anymore. You can see in the US reception to Prince Harry. Americans love him. The world loves him. Your global hate campaign against the Sussexes is not getting any traction. It’s doing the reverse. The world is starting to see how very racist the royals are for the first time. It tarnishes your image, hence not good for your global image.
Go work to uplift yourselves. Work by not setting these couple up to fail. Maybe the world will look at you with more understanding and compassion.

  66. Over it says:

It must really suck and Hurt like a mother to be the heirs and be outshone by the spare because no one cares about them . Keep on keeping on Harry, to heck with bitter chuck and Willy.

  67. jazzbaby1 says:

    These two work? When?

  68. Jessica says:

“and get back to work”…A HA HA HA HA-

  69. Likeyoucare says:

Thats why according to the british polls they really hate meghan and harry, these two had block the 2 future kings on doing their works.

H&M should really pity these two clowns and need to give their blessing to the clowns so that they go to work.
