Ahhhhh, No Sudden Move is a heist movie. I thought it was about Khloe’s face

Totally onboard for this movie! I loved Logan Lucky, and generally like Soderbergh’s work. So looking forward to this.

Did you guys that preordered get the Bench in the mail today yet? I did! There’s an illustration in the back of the sussex family! Archie and Harry feeding the rescue chickens from the bench, Meghan is in the veggie garden wearing Lili in a carrier. The spotted beagle, the black dog! It is so sweet! I wonder if baby girl sussex was always due before the book came out and that’s why she’s included in the illustrations. Or if she was born right on time, a little early, so that she could actually be here to see herself, as Lili baby-born and not just baby-anticipated, in the book?

Harry’s also on page one with the dogs, holding baby Archie.

What’s kind of funny is that I don’t think that one illustration of the soldier catching leaping blonde boy in his arms is actually meant to be Harry, but all the tabs claimed it totally was. That guy has blonde-ish hair and no beard. Harry illustrations have red hair and the beard and are obviously Harry.

I did! It’s lovely, I told my partner not to read it yet. I thought I hid it well but he found it and it’s supposed to be part of his father’s day gifts.

      It’s so sweet!

I will watch this movie. I was lucky to work with Brendan once and he’s lovely, would love to see him more on screen.

    • The Recluse says:

I recognized his voice, but it took a moment to recognize him among all those dark and quick shots.

  5. KBeth says:

David Harbour is in it so I’ll watch..

I am always ready for Don Cheadle. He is an excellent actor, who always elevate a movie thru his performance. Benicio Del Toro is so sexy and a great actor too. Neither one is a pretty boy actor with a one note range like Hemsworth and the rest. Both are rock solid actors with a long acting range.

  7. Mee yo says:

Benicio Del Toro is in so that’s a hard YES for me. Escape at Dannemora was so good, he was an absolute beast in that. Along with everyone else in the cast.

  8. FrenchGirl says:

Happily Soderberg disliked « difficult » actors because there are many difficult actors in his movies

I am really into documentaries, and “There’s Something Wrong With Aunt Diane” has stayed with me for a decade now (and I’ve watched a majority of this list). It really puts an exclamation point on how we see family, and the excuses we will make for family, even at our own detriment.

I will never get over this family trying to prove that Aunt Diane didn’t ruin all of their lives by drinking, and also science is wrong, because they need to believe they didn’t have a chance to save everyone else. It is beyond tragic, I feel for all of them.

    • Norman Bates' Mother says:

Same! This story made me think about how little we actually know about other people, even family. Most of our lives are happening internally and we choose what to share. Diane must have been one of those people who are having the “ideal person” mask for everyone else, but are 90% secrets and demons inside. I tried to imagine how I would behave if my mother did something like this. As far as I know, she never even drinks beer because she’s very anti alcohol and she’s a very responsible person in my eyes, so I would probably also be in a huge denial.

  10. Jayna says:

Brendan Fraser was amazing in The Affair season he was in. I’m glad to see he’s cast in this.

  11. EduBois says:

One woman listed in the cast on the top line. You all seem cool with it! When does it rise to be an issue for the commentariat in this community? Formulaic trailer. Pass for me.

Perhaps it’s just more representative of the actual proportion of bank robbers (or whatever) who are male?
I guess not every heist movie is going to be Ocean’s 8.
