VF: Prince Harry will travel alone to the UK later this week & he’ll stay at Frogmore

Duke of Edinburgh funeral

Katie Nicholl has sources, y’all. And her sources are talking to her about, you guessed it, the fakakta statue unveiling. Which brings me to some theories going around Twitter and this very comment section: has Prince Harry even confirmed to Kensington Palace that he will, in fact, travel to the UK to attend the unveiling of the Princess Diana statue? Some people argue that Prince William and his clownshow courtiers have been making asses out of themselves recently because Harry has not actually RSVP’d. It’s an interesting theory. But I tend to believe Harry has told *someone* in KP, just not William, that he’s coming. Katie Nicholl claims that William and Harry have spoken… but who even knows. Some highlights from Nicholl’s VF exclusive:

Harry is traveling alone, he’s not bringing Archie: Prince Harry will travel to the U.K. alone later this week ahead….There was some speculation that the Duke might choose to visit with their two-year-old son, Archie. The queen is said to be desperate to see Archie, and was one of the first members of the family to be informed when daughter Lili was born on June 4. Though the toddler, who hasn’t seen the royals in 18 months, could have been a perfect ice-breaker for the family’s ongoing tensions, Vanity Fair has been told that the Duke will be returning to England by himself. “Meghan will stay at home with the children,” confirms a friend. “Harry is flying alone.”

Meghan is concerned about what those jackasses will do to Harry: The duchess is said to be concerned about Harry’s solo transatlantic trip because he is wary about the reception he will get back at home. He was privately shocked by the frosty welcome he received from some family members when he returned to England for the April funeral of Prince Philip. A number of family members were still reeling from his and Meghan’s claims in their interview with Oprah Winfrey.

Harry & William are talking? While Harry and his brother, the Duke of Cambridge, are said to be talking these days, there has been limited contact between them since Harry returned to the States. “There have been conversations, after Lili was born and to make plans for next week, but things are still very strained,” said mutual friend of the brothers.

They will give separate speeches & hope to keep things low-key: “They know the eyes of the world will be on them—watching their every move—so what you will see is a carefully choreographed show of unity for that day, at least,” says a source.

Harry to stay at Frogmore? The prince will need to take a COVID-19 test before he leaves the States and will quarantine when he arrives. It is expected that he will stay at the Sussexes’ U.K. base, Frogmore Cottage in Windsor, where he will be close to Queen Elizabeth and his cousin Princess Eugenie. It is not known how long Harry plans will stay in the U.K., but it has been reported that the queen has invited Harry for lunch at Windsor Castle.

What Harry will speak to the Queen about: According to royal author Ingrid Seward, the monarch is unlikely to want to discuss matters in too much detail “because she does not like confrontation,” but the meeting will be an opportunity for them to have a private and open discussion.

[From Vanity Fair]

Yeah, the Queen doesn’t like confrontation. So much so, I kind of wonder if this lunch at Windsor is just a figment of Nicholl’s imagination. For Harry to meet the Queen in person for lunch at Windsor Castle… well, how will the courtiers manage that? As soon as I wrote that, I knew. They’ll say that the Queen told off Harry for all of these things and that she’s going to inflict more punishments on him following the lunch. Still, I bet Harry will want to check in on Liz, if just to see how she’s being treated by the nasty old men around her.

As for the idea that Harry would possibly bring Archie back to Dusty Saltine Island… yeah, for some reason, a lot of Keen reporters were suggesting that. I guess the going theory would be that they could somehow force Harry and Archie to stay in the UK forever and then Meghan would stay in Montecito with Lili and so each parent would have “one kid” and it would be equal. Make no mistake: the goal for all of these people is to somehow break up the Sussex marriage and get Harry back to the UK.

I still don’t think Harry has confirmed shit.

    • JT says:

Me neither. All of the various sources don’t match up, so at the very least nobody knows what Harry will do. Also, big ups to Harry keeping everyone on their toes. I think it’s a huge flex for him to keep everyone guessing. It’ll be huge let down for them if he doesn’t go because he is the one everyone wants to see. It must burn TOB to always be the afterthought.

    • Lucy says:

Agreed. For a while, I thought he’d confirmed he wasn’t coming, so Will and the press felt free to gin up interest in him being there so the public would be disappointed/they could run with the story of Harry being scared to face Will.
But now I think he hasn’t confirmed anything, and they’re throwing 💩 to see what sticks, like usual.
I don’t understand why the press thinks any reasonable person would think a woman with a newborn would do an international flight during a pandemic to see a bunch of 🐀 and to show herself to be abused.

    • taris says:

british media are openly foaming at the mouth for some drama.

this statue unveiling will be philip’s funeral 2.0 – between now and july 1st expect a tsunami of misinformation, more annoying ‘reconciliation’ nonsense, and tons of contradictory fan fiction from the carnival.

      how tiresome.

    • Kfg says:

He’s not coming. I think he had Eugenie say something to test the leaking.

    • Beach Dreams says:

Yup. Until I hear a clear and direct “yes/no” from his spokesperson, I’ll just assume the RRs are continuing to write about their wishful thinking habits.

    • Moxylady says:

Archie isn’t vaccinated. Why in the actual heck would Harry endanger his son’s health to see a bunch of people who hate them both?!?

      • LMR says:

And then quarantine for days with a toddler? No Archie, we cannot go out. Yes I took you on a 12 hour flight to sit in these 3 rooms, and then go home.

      • lise says:

taking a toddler on an international flight sounds like an absolute nightmare, much less two international flights in less than a week… during a pandemic… and when the parent has to be at nonsense public events that the toddler won’t remember or understand in between these long ass flights. why would any parent subject their kid and/or themselves to that?

bish please, H&M are gonna let archie stay and run around sunny socal and play with his new baby sister, obviously. the british press is genuinely delusional if they expected any other decision

    • LMR says:

I would love to see Harry not go just to watch the British Tabloid Media dissolve in a mass wailing, chest-pounding, vein-popping, spitting-while-they-speak outrage.

  2. Merricat says:

I hope Harry sets up a video link instead of flying over and going through the quarantine process.

    • Jegede says:

If he goes, I just hope Diana’s sisters are front and centre as well.

After the abuse Walmart has unleashed on Meghan this week, I can’t fathom him and Harry even successfully faking it for the cameras as a duo.

    • Carmen-JamRock says:

LOL This is EXACTLY what I came here to write so thanks @Merricat for doing it first: video link/H&M both appearing on the link from Montecito where H will deliver his speech/their proxy will be at KP sunken gdns to do H’s part of the physical unveiling which H wd hv done if he was there. Done & done.

  3. Sunshine says:

20 days quarantine required coming in from US. Shouldn’t he be there already?

    • Vivica says:

I thought it was 5 days?

    • Sofia says:

No. It’s a 10 day quarantine which he can potentially shorten to 5 days if he does the “test to release”.

      • Sunshine says:

I meant 10 days. (Fat fingers).
But we are less than 10 days out.

      • Sofia says:

Like I said, he can shorten it to 5 days with the “test to release” scheme

      • Snuffles says:

It’s already less than 10 days out. If he was already at Windsor, we would know for sure by now.

ETA: And I thought “test to release” was only for family emergencies like funerals.

      • Sofia says:

@Snuffles Test to release can be used for anything, not just funerals

      • Louisa says:

I’ve been trying to find official word about the 5 day “test to release” as I am in the US and haven’t seen my mum in Scotland now for almost 2 years. There’s no way I can do a 10 day quarantine, but may be able to get away for 5 days. Is there a link or somewhere I can go to confirm this ? (sorry, I know this has nothing to do with Harry, but just desperate to see my mum!)

      • Sofia says:

@Louisa Test to Release isn’t applicable in Scotland. You would have to do the full 10 day quarantine after arriving from the US.

What you could do is arrive in England, quarantine there and then travel up to Scotland. If you’re interested in that, here’s a link but be warned you’re going to pay for the tests

        https://www.gov.uk/uk-border-control/ending-self-isolation-early-through-test-to-release

Edit: before heading off, check if you would be able to come back to the US. I think the U.K. on a whole might be banned for travellers unless you’re a US citizen but I’m not sure

      • Becks1 says:

@Louisa this is a link from what Vivica posted above. If you are coming from a country on the “amber” list you can pay privately for a COVID test and release from quarantine after 5 days. However, it says it only applies to people quarantining in England. Scotland may have different rules.

  4. Noki says:

Am I the only person who actually DOES fear for Harrys safet?Everyone thought Diana was crazy and paranoid but much later we saw how valid her fears were.

    • Traci says:

This is all very scary. But Harry is well aware and I would think has already thought 10 steps ahead to protect himself as he travels back.

    • ABritGuest says:

I think they see Meghan as the bigger threat & who they wanted to get rid off. And yeah Katie Nicholls with her fan fiction as usual.

So some press say archie & Lili don’t deserve titles (hmm don’t think they get concept of royalty) but they also want Archie to be the ice breaker for the family? So dehumanising. They only wanted him to come for pictures & more info on him. It’s so exploitative

This isn’t a royal family event & is about Diana so if it’s safe for him to go etc & his wife is supportive etc than good for him. Whilst I think idea of the statute is dumb- it probably means a lot to her sons & I don’t think Harry should let the press or royal family shenanigans stop him from being there if that’s what he wants. I hope somehow this event can somehow remember its focus& have dignity. The press hype around it is ridiculous

      • Gina says:

I can’t imagine Harry standing near TOB after “damaged goods” article. Knauf and “friend of William” were talking, so it’s Willileaks doing. It’s just like spit in the face of Harry. And Meghan is postpartum, so it’s so cruel, inhuman.
I hope he won’t go. This piece of bronze artful as it could be, is not worth it.

    • Lucylee says:

Harry should speak at the event via Zoom. In addition, he could make a substantial donation to the charities his mother supported.
      BOOM!!!!!!

      • BothSidesNow says:

That’s a great idea!!! They should have Harry do a video link, and at the end, bring in Meghan too, looking her usual fabulous self, and make a comment about making enormous donations close to Diana’s heart as a tribute!! That will get TOB in an absolutely unhinged head space for months!!!

      • Robert says:

Do you really think William would let them set up a zoom call? They wouldn’t even lay a wreath for Harry last year. I’m sure Williams people are in charge of the set up. So nothing like that could happen. Now He could put something up on social media at the same time. And people would watch it instead of William.

    • Lilibetp says:

No, you’re not the only one. I wouldn’t put it past the courtiers to crash his plane or blow up his car, just so they don’t have to deal with Meghan.

  5. MaryContrary says:

In the middle of a pandemic, he’s going to fly 10.5 hours with an unvaccinated toddler to be with his family who have (with rare exception) backstabbed and maligned him? Her “sources” are as usual, BS. That was never, ever going to happen.

    • equality says:

I guess, they decided Archie would be a better peacemaker than Lili given he is so much older. How dumb can you sound?

    • SarahCS says:

They want to see the colour of Archie’s skin.

    • Cessily says:

I’m am sure PH is fully vaccinated by now, so is he still required to quarantine the entire ten days?
I think it is asking a lot to demand anyone show for a “statue” unveiling across the world when their infant is not even a month old and during a pandemic. I think a prerecorded video speech should be perfectly acceptable but I am not British and they seem to think they have owned him since birth. I just do not get why he would keep giving them access to himself when nothing good ever comes of it. The rags just get more viscous and bizarre in there hateful articles.

  6. Nomegusta says:

The way they have been slandering his wife this past week, a campaigned sanctioned by his own brother, tf outta here.

KN doesn’t know squat. They didn’t even know Harry’s funeral plans. I think the only one he talks to and trusts about things like that is Eugenie. And I doubt she’d f up her own situation.

  7. Aurora says:

Why does Harry do this to himself? Why does he continue to lend his time to an institution that craps all over him and nearly drove his wife to suicide?

I hope that Katie Nicholls is writing fan fiction as per usual and that Harry remains home with his wife and newborn.

    • Sofia says:

I think he’s going solely because it’s something to do with his mother. If it was, let’s say, a statue for Charles or a birthday party for Charles, Harry probably wouldn’t be going.

      • BnlurNforever says:

There will always be something like this though, so @Aurora question stands, why would he do that? Next it will be something to do with the queen and he loves her and wish to honor her so he goes, or they go. There will always be something and I say, at this point given the stance that family has taken in letting the media run uncheck with abusive stories, funerals only should be the stance imo. Then again, I don’t live in the gray areas of life some people are able to. I am honestly not good at compartmentalizing so for those who can, this is moot.

      • Carmen-JamRock says:

        @BnlurNforever
“….Next it will be something to do with the queen and he loves her and wish to honor her so he goes, or they go.;..”

Well i guess you’d better gird your loins. Because this IS going to happen. The queen WILL die sometime. If she dies before H, he WILL go to her funeral. Thats what a grandson, who insists on honoring his grandma, notwithstanding that she’s the oldest serving monarch in modern history, will do.

    • Alexandria says:

      It’s not even confirmed.

If he goes, I don’t know why. His mother is in him. There would be 3 months of article from 1 visit. But nothing we can do. Just pray for his safety.

    • Jegede says:

I truly hope Harry reconsiders having lunch with the Queen, after the crapstorm she sanctioned BP to evoke over a little baby’s name.😥😥

Yes the story is still on the BBC site. And no one tell me the Queen Betty is innocent.
      Thank you.

      • Carmen-JamRock says:

It will prolly be the last time he sees her before she dies so i wouldnt be surprised i he goes.

      • equality says:

I would and then bring up the subject and ask why are you letting this go on, Granny?

    • Ginger says:

Because that’s his mom and he can honor her however he chooses.

Katie Nicholl doesn’t know crap. She had multiple stories of Harry and William having many Zoom meetings for birthdays and anniversaries last year and that was proved false in the Oprah interview. She writes fan fiction.

      • lanne says:

Yeah, that skank wrote the “gender fluid baby” story to stir up prejudice against both Harry and Meghan and the LGBTQ community.

    • LaraW" says:

I know there are several aspects to this, but I know that if I were faced with such a situation, my therapist and I would be having extensive conversations, starting with a pro/con list. And this list is just based on my perspective as an outsider.

      Pros
      – Honor his mother with the statue unveiling, which I think(?) he worked on personally. Harry kind of seems like a person who sees a project through to whatever bitter end.
      – Visit Eugenie, Jack, and their baby.
      – Possibly visit his grandmother.
      — Her secretary or whatever may not allow this, given the whole Lilibet thing, which I think many self-important palace staff took as an insult that they didn’t know every single aspect of Elizabeth’s life.
      – Visit Schillings, figure out what’s going on with the bullying investigation.
      – Visit patronages? Does he have any still?

      Cons
      – Spend 1-2 weeks away from his family, 3 weeks after their daughter was born.
      – I don’t know how big of a deal this is for H&M’s family, but I believe he would be missing his first July 4th at his own home, which is an opportunity to host all of Meghan’s family (that she’s in touch with), their friends, all the children of their friends and extended family. Not sure they would do this and not sure if it’s important to Meghan’s family, but for some it is.
      – Face a hostile, passive-aggressive environment. I think it’s possible that their attitude towards him has changed since The Me You Can’t See, moreso than the Oprah interview.
      – Feed into the endless press cycle picking apart body language, reconciliation between brothers, etc.
      – Get hounded by paparazzi.
      – Forced into close proximity with a brother whose relationship with Harry is strained at best, abusive at worst.
      – Face an institution that he understands, better than ever, gaslighted and tortured his mother.
      – Travel by plane to London and relive the triggers he’s dealt with his entire life.
      – Possibly be forced by both Kate and William to pick sides in the clusterf-ck of their marriage (while Kate and William don’t express happiness for the birth of Lili).
      — In a bizarre twist of circumstances, Kate will no longer be the one who needs to make peace between the brothers, but Harry will be the who needs to fix Kate and William’s marriage.

At the end of the day, I don’t think Harry’s calculations are going to depend on the press’s reaction or stories– they will always say something no matter what. Not attending, I think, gives the press less to talk about. I think the calculations will be based on how Harry feels. All his life, he’s been trained to shove his feelings aside and do his duty– I hope that, if he has a therapist, they’ve told him that it’s all right to put his feelings– his own mental health– first, and “duty” second.

Practice what you preach, Harry. There is no scenario in going back to the UK where he will not feel stress, pressure, anger, guilt, sadness, resentment, etc. At best, he can mitigate it with seeing people he likes. But does that outweigh the trauma he is re-exposing himself to?

    • swirlmamad says:

If he goes, he’s not doing this for the RF. He’s doing it for his beloved mother. Let’s give him grace and respect the fact that he’s a grown man who knows the best move for himself and his family.

    • ABritGuest says:

Laraw below makes v good points. But also this Diana statue unveiling is probably a unique event. it’s not for the royals who have treated him & his family atrociously- it’s for his late mother. Can’t really see many other memorials to her being built so this might be it in terms of events he might have to stand alongside his brother in Diana’s memory.

Aside from that though, based on how things appear in public, Bill & co would only see me at funerals unless public apologies & amends are made.

  8. lanne says:

What do they think they “solve” by getting Harry back, especially without his children? Do they have a “government issue” wife for him waiting in the wings? Do they really think that “everything will go back to the way it was before” if Meghan were gone? Do they think Harry will walk behind Will-di Amin like a Stepford Wife?

Perhaps they need to have a blowup doll made of Harry. All they seem to want from him is to be a body without a voice.

    • Emmitt says:

“Do they have a “government issue” wife for him waiting in the wings?”

No. Harry is not to marry again until after the Cambridge children are old enough to become working royals.

“Do they really think that “everything will go back to the way it was before” if Meghan were gone?”

      Yes.

“Do they think Harry will walk behind Will-di Amin like a Stepford Wife?”

      Yes.

  9. equality says:

How can you be a leader of any organization and avoid confrontation? When I was a supervisor, I would have liked to avoid confrontation with employees but that wasn’t an option.

    • taris says:

69 years on the job … still struggling

    • SnoodleDumpling says:

These people are reeeeaaally all in on the Christian martyrdom.

The fact that the monarchy and the whole ecosystem that has grown up around it are actively destroying the lives of the royal family generation after generation as they do their duty to the Crown is actually a bonus, sort of. Not much inspirational about people who were appointed by God to lead you if all you see is their fleet of expensive cars and gallons of gems and gowns, have to see them suffering for their God in some way so that the money and luxury can be spun as cold comfort. Romanticize the hell out of all of it.

  10. Amy Bee says:

Well, we know Katie is lying about them speaking after Lili was born because Kate confirmed that they didn’t at the Biden event. The Queen longing to see Archie also rings hollow because Harry says she sees him all the time on Zoom calls. I also have a hard time believing that Harry was surprised by the reception he got from the family. He told us in the Oprah interview that Charles had stopped speaking to him and that he has no relationship with William so why would he surprised that the rest of the family would be frosty. The fact the press still don’t if Harry is attending means KP doesn’t know either. If they did it would have been leaked to the press already.

    • Ginger says:

Exactly. It makes me think he won’t go if William has no idea. But we will have to wait and see. I do love how tight the Sussex team is. They are not telling anyone over there anything.

  11. Frida_K says:

    I hope he doesn’t go.

Honestly, before all of this, I really didn’t think much one way or another about the BRF. They just didn’t register for me. I had other things that truly mattered in my life.

    And now?

They are so appalling and vile that I do pay attention. I even feel a sense of worry for Harry and Meghan and their children. I hope with every fiber of my being that he doesn’t go back there for this event. And I sincerely care about Meghan’s mental state. It’s not front and center of my life–I still have lots else going on here–but the dreadful behavior and the ongoing attempts to abuse and gaslight are so extreme … how can anyone not notice and not be appalled at this point?

They are ghastly. I hope that that Harry remains out of their clutches and that his wife and children have minimal contact (or better yet, no contact at all) with those wretched freeloaders.

    • Alexandria says:

I’m angry. I think it’s because I’m a minority and my country was colonized. So it’s disgusting. I’m never giving them my tourist dollars. I wanted to bring my dad to visit Old Trafford but nah! They don’t want us!

      • Lady D says:

I apparently am ‘acceptable’ to them, but never will I grace them with my presence. I have spent most of my life wanting to go to England for a thousand different reasons. The Cambridge duo and his father have destroyed a fifty year dream and truthfully, it’s a little heartbreaking. I really wanted to see England.
Yes, I am sure it will mean nothing to the RF, but they’ve destroyed millions of people and millions of dreams. Where be Karma?

    • Myra says:

I went from “they’re quite uninteresting as people” pre-Meghan to “I really abhor all of them, #AbolishTheMonarchy” post-Meghan. I do worry about the Sussex family’s safety but not just in the UK. Online radicalisation makes physical borders meaningless.

    • Nan says:

Frida_K — Meghan’s the sole reason the BRF are getting so much attention & focus again. They’re so arrogant and vain to think it’s about them but they actually owe all of this attention (for better or worse) to the fact that Meghan was, and is, a fascinating and progressive choice of partner by Prince Harry. And they can’t handle it and they’re stuck in the racist, sexist, classist past. The end.

  12. Amelie says:

I doubt William and Harry are talking at all. Especially given the shit show since Meghan gave birth. And I doubt Harry has said anything about returning for the statue unveiling.

  13. Becks1 says:

I think Harry is going (and I’ve always thought he was going to go, unless Meghan’s due date was July 1 ha) and I think its going to be like the funeral – he’s going to show up for the unveiling, give his speech, and that’s it. Stans will freak out because he doesn’t punch William in the face and acts like a civil adult in front of the cameras.

And of course he’s not taking Archie.

    • Eurydice says:

Yes, this is how I’ve figured it all along. It’s too bad – this could have been a lovely event to honor Diana. I haven’t followed the story leading up to this event, but it seems the RF isn’t on board with it. Like it was planned between the brothers and Diana’s family and the palace finds it an embarrassment.

      • LMR says:

Oh yeah, the palace finds it an embarassment until the statue brings in more visitors and tourism dollars to the KP gardens.

Someone said in another thread on this site that Americans are always considered “gauche” until one needs their money. Credit to that CB’er. Time to close the wallet.

      • notasugarhere says:

The monarchy and Historic Royal Palaces are completely separate things. HRP is a stand-alone charity, not controlled or owned by the Windsors.

    • Ginger says:

I agree Becks. If he goes the stans will go after him if he doesn’t punch William or cuss him out. Can’t wait *sarcasm*

    • swirlmamad says:

Same. If he does go (and I think he will too), it will all be civil because he has class AND he knows that his every move and word will be scrutinized. There won’t be any “shoulder-to-shoulder” pics like they keep blathering on about. And he would never in a million years bring Archie if Meghan wasn’t going to be there as well. Katie Nicholl is useless. Any of us here could write the same crap she does AND probably be more accurate even without any direct sources.

      • ElleE says:

@Swirlmamad taking my crack at fan fiction: Harry wrote of Charles a long time ago, something to do with his mother and realizing that the relationship was transactional, not parental, based on love and protection. When Charles cut off the transactions (the funding, the only reason for the relationship to exist) Harry walked away. No sense standing in front of a broken ATM.

Harry loves his brother and will never give up on him, door is always open thing, which makes Harry very vulnerable and he has to fight this. I don’t cares about anyone else really, maybe Peter? IDK. A lot of sh!t is projected onto that family- Harry hasn’t lived in a proper home with parents since he went to boarding school, he was, 12? Younger? Think about people that you know it had the misfortune to date that went to boarding school at 12.

        The End.

      • Tessa says:

Harry does not “love” what his brother is doing. And the “love” may turn if William keeps up this campaign against Meghan. What does William want? For Harry to come crawling back, and William would “pay off” Meghan and Harry will be around as the third wheel and Kate would find a cousin or something to marry off to Harry. Does William want Meghan brought up on charges and jailed? He is downright creepy now.

      • notasugarhere says:

Harry was sent to boarding school weeks before he turned 8, a few months before Charles and Diana announced their separation.

      • ElleE says:

@NASH 8? Yikes. I just learned, last Summer, that Harry was sent back to boarding school 3 days after Diana’s funeral.
Imagine an American family doing this? The neighbors would be talking about that for decades (“remember when his grandmother sent him back to boarding school and Charles went on vacation with Camilla after the funeral?? We offered to let him spend the term with our family but they wouldn’t hear of it!”) Cultural, not economic, disconnect…

    • Aud says:

Yeah he’s going and it will be very underwhelming, much like his trip for the funeral.

  14. MsIam says:

Katie doesn’t know sh!t as usual. This is just a rehash of other stories and more speculation. Harry stayed at Frogmore last trip so its not a stretch to say that’s where he’ll stay this trip. And the Sussexes have a media team, they don’t need “friends” to speak for them. And no friends of the Sussexes will speak to her anyway, she was one of the ones pushing the “Kate cried too” story.

    • Haylie says:

Right? Remember how the press claimed he was staying at KP when he went for Phil’s funeral?

      They don’t know shit.

  15. Vivica says:

Disclaimer: All Royal Fanfiction shall now read: Palace sources say….

My Palace sources say that Harry is not going. Harry is not even going to send a video, because he would want to include his entire family to honor his mother and he knows that William won’t “allow” that. Therefore, he will be releasing his own video tribute via Archewell to include who his mother is to him and how he strives to live on through her legacy in the world and against the BM. Then he will highlight HER charities for anyone that wants to donate. This will of course, overshadow William’s latest romp in the garden and all hell will break loose.

    End Scene.

    • Sunday says:

My personal fantasy is that instead of attending the unveiling, Harry does what you said above and releases his own video with a speech, but ALSO I want him to unveil a playground or center for children somewhere in her memory. William would IMPLODE and I think it would be a much more fitting tribute to Princess Di than a statue.

      • ABritGuest says:

I do love that idea. honestly for what was spent on this statute which will likely not even look great, donating to a hospital etc might have been better especially since one of the hospitals she was famous for visiting Aids patients in is seriously struggling with funds. And certainly in London safe, accessible playgrounds are thin on the ground.

    • notasugarhere says:

I’d like to see a video like this, released via HALO Trust.

  16. Izzy says:

I don’t believe anything Katie Knucklehead writes. I’ll believe Harry is there when a Sussex spox confirms it. Photos and videos can be altered, so no, not even that is good enough with these assclowns.

  17. sandy says:

i truly hope he just makes a video from CA and sends it in. they want to kidnap him or something? they’re deranged

  18. Iris says:

I’m not a rabid royal watcher but I found the Sunday Times piece about meghan being ‘unhinged’ and a ‘sociopath’ to be genuinely alarming. The hatred they’re whipping in the comment sections and on Twitter beggars belief. And then I keep coming back to the fact The Firm took their security away? I would be so terrified if I was meghan. The right wing media have put such a target on their backs.

She must really, really love him. Because for me? I don’t know if this would be worth it.

    • Jegede says:

I can tell you the words used describing her as a b!tch, an unhinged, narcissist, sociopath stunned some of us here in Blighty.😶😶

Not even Fergie or Di got that level of abuse. And they were having flat out affairs!!!

      • Tessa says:

Diana was gaslighted. She was vilified as “mad” and “poor” Charles went through Hell until Camilla “saved him.” She was accused of being “mean” to staff and all sorts of charges. Diana did get the level of abuse plus she was accused of all sorts of things like “driving” Charles back to Camilla. It got really ugly, especially after Diana died and could not defend herself anymore. Charles good friend Junor even accused Diana of “threatening” Camilla when “helpless” Camilla was “alone in the house.” This after Diana died and could not defend herself. Meghan is getting the same treatment.

      • ElleE says:

@Tessa I have a really good memory and for all of the things I have forgotten, I remember a lot of details about the last years of Diana’s life and the year that followed. You won’t find this detail on the internet as this information predates the massive real-time information upload we now live with.

Nothing you relay here sounds remotely familiar to me.

      • Tessa says:

Elle, I was talking about a year after Diana died, A book Called Charles: Victim or Villain by Penny Junor. Junor admitted she had the cooperation of Charles and Camilla. It really gaslighted Diana as “mad” and how “Charles suffered.” Junor followed up by a series of books including one about Camilla that continued this train of thought. It’s out there in print. Also Seward launched a series of negative books about Diana. Charles was photographed with his sons as ‘the great dad” and ca. July 1998 started his Camilla promotion again this time using WIll and Harry.

    • Carmen-JamRock says:

Theres a reason for kp and baldimort and his henchmen’s frenzied lashing out at M over these past couple of days:

my understanding is that the palace-appointed “investigators” were ready to publish their report this wednesday. However, Schillings has put the brakes on those plans because the investigators never spoke to M, as part of the investigations and they dont have specific incidents of “bullying” to justify the accusations. However, M has specific incidents of being bullied/sabotaged.

Bottomline: Schillings is making demands and giving ultimatums and the palace puppets and minnows alike are now running around like chickens without heads.

    • Tessa says:

And Meghan is already “guilty” by some in the media and social media who never wanted her to marry Harry. And William is Always Right. It is really weird and creepy.

  19. Eurydice says:

This is becoming more and more like Blackadder – with Baldrick crooning, “I have a cunning plan.” Vilifying Meghan for years didn’t break up H&M, forcing them out of the country didn’t work, continued abuse for the past year and half hasn’t worked – so how is stepping up the abuse supposed to work better? And if Harry does go to the unveiling, how will the Queen piling on more punishment, William continuing his rage and Charles cowering 400 miles away help keep Harry in the country? What kind of sales pitch is “Don’t go back to your loving wife and children; stay here so we can keep torturing you. ” It’s the definition of insanity.

  20. Elvie says:

“I guess the going theory would be that they could somehow force Harry and Archie to stay in the UK forever and then Meghan would stay in Montecito with Lili and so each parent would have “one kid” and it would be equal.”

That is some fucking Parent Trap shit, but I totally believe the RRs would be into it.

Harry should just stay at home in Montecito and enjoy his children, but I think he’s doing this out of a misguided obligation and likely in the back of his mind, he knows he has limited opportunities to spend any time at all with his grandmother so he’s doing it.

    • Tessa says:

I think William really was obnoxious and pouted when the Queen gave permission for Harry to marry Meghan. Harry needs to go alone if he goes at all, otherwise the Cambridge stans would talk about Kate being a “fit” person to raise Archie.

  21. Over it says:

What the f is wrong with Katie Nichols, it’s not Archie or lili job to fixed that f -up family. Their job is to be happy children. You want someone to fix things, then tell mr. incandescent rage machine to grow the f up. Tell him learn to be a good king and not a f——Ing dictator.tell them stop being so racist to two babies and their mixed race mom, this is how you fixed things Katie mchatey. Also start by saying a public I am so sorry for all the shit we did to Harry, Meghan and their children

  22. Me says:

Do any of those people (RF) think about the fact that they may really need Harry and his connections when Charles cuts them off and they have to fend for themselves? The upcoming generation will not be on the gravy train; they will have to find some kind of career. The family money is all in the Duchies of Cornwall and Lancaster—the rest of the RF are hangers-on that are about to be brushed off.

    • notasugarhere says:

The family money is completely separate from the Duchies of Lancaster and Cornwall, and is all held by Liz Windsor.

  23. girl_ninja says:

I’m hoping that he doesn’t go even though I think it’s unfair that he misses the unveiling. Diana was his mother too and he should have his place there. I just think that Charles, Will, the UK press and the courtiers are so unhinged that he’s not really safe.

  24. Chelsea says:

At this point I’ve given up figuring out what Harry has planned re: thr unveiling but im not really that worried. Hatty came out of that week in April for Phil’s funeral just fine so i know their team will manage whatever they decide to do well. (And by just fine i mean that while the British press was in coniptions about it for weeks the US Press just reported on the funeral with like 1 followup and then moved on with no damage to his image here)

  25. Bren says:

Harry needs to lay down the law and tell his family to stop colluding with the press against him, his wife, and their children or he’s never returning to the salty isle. I have no idea how he can look at his father, brother, and Kate in the eyes with nothing but disappointment and contempt for their lack of care for him and his happiness.

    • Ginger says:

What makes you think he hasn’t? I’m sure he has but that doesn’t mean they will listen.

In his docu series he made many requests and it was meant with total silence and total neglect (his words not mine)

    • Dee Kay says:

I’m positive these WERE his conditions, that he laid down long ago, which were refused (hence Sussexit). I’m sure on his end it was pretty simple: Call off the attack dogs (ie the British media) and stop feeding them, be civil to my family and treat them with respect, and we will all play a role (half-time) to hold up the Crown. I don’t think that deal still stands, though, as H&M are never, ever going back to do the half-time deal under any circumstances now. So now the Royal Family cannot admit they just completely f–ked up, and will keep briefing against the Sussexes to the end of time, apparently, out of spite.

  26. Margaret says:

That will never happen. He really is unhinged. The US mo way a person can be incandescent with rage, all the time that it changes their appearance, will they start being humane. The bully squads are cheering him on, and he feeds off of it.

  27. Lowrider says:

All bases covered in this article. Katie Nucklehead has no sources in Harry and Meghan life.

  28. Emmitt says:

Harry needs to do what is best for HARRY.

WE the public project how we feel about our own toxic families onto Harry and WE the public project how we feel about Harry’s family onto what he should be doing.

And what’s worse, many of us threaten to withhold our support of Harry if he does something we don’t like.

That’s the same thing his family of origin is doing to him. That’s not honoring Harry.

Harry will be fine. Diana was expendable. Harry is not; they will not hurt him.

If he does go, it might be because his aunts might also be going and he doesn’t want them to be subjected to William’s rages.

It’s ultimately not a Royal family event, it’s a Spencer family event so I don’t think Harry would be reporting to the Royals what he’s going to do about a Spencer family event.

If he does not attend, he will probably have a video released on Archewell because William and his team can’t be trusted to show the video from the unveiling.

Harry knows his family of origin better than we do and I trust Harry will make the right decision for himself and his chosen family.

    • Ginger says:

      Wonderfully said Emmitt. Agreed 100%

    • swirlmamad says:

      COSIGN THIS 100%. Stated perfectly!

    • Sof says:

It’s a lose-lose situation for him, in my opinion. It’s as if he was being forced once again by the public’s needs to do something reagarding his mother death.

    • BnlurNforever says:

Who here is withholding support of Harry if he doesn’t do what they like? I’ve missed that if it’s on here somewhere. Also, the one thing all this has shown the world is that, TBRF maybe Harry’s family, but he really never knew them. He and Meghan have my support because it’s clear they are good people who are constantly under attack based on nothing they’ve done wrong. It’s clear that they’ve become proxy for a culture war waging in Western Civilization at the moment through no fault of their own and it’s clear they need the public’s continued support, which I will continue to provide.

  29. what's inside says:

Diana lives in his heart, not in some statue. A big public display for what? To use her name and likeness to garner public support for Prince William.

  30. qtpi says:

Hmmm. I have to see this to believe it. He has a newborn that he would not want to be away from long. Surely he is vaccinated. Do vaxxed people have to quarantine as well? If I was him I would land the night before and take a taxi from the event back to airport. Or just do a prerecorded speech from home and call it a day. Diana would approve.

  31. ElleE says:

Daydrinking and Delta variant. Take it easy there Katie.

Serious question: we aren’t ready to take our masks off right? Most are maskless here now on the East Coast and it went from being sheepishly maskless at first, to now looking like a weirdo if one is wearing a mask in a store ( except for the workers, they are masked).

My daughter had the first cold in almost 2yrs! Even my husband is saying “allergies “ – she has never had allergies and, ok, she has allergies that started with a runny nose, moved into her chest and is finally getting better. Are we in denial that masks worked 🥲

    • MonicaQ says:

I’m not. I still wear mine except in my local gaming store. I haven’t been sick since I caught the flu in Feb 2020. In FL it gets you some looks but I don’t even care. I’m going to do me 😀

    • Saucy&Sassy says:

ElleE & MonicaQ, I’m on the West Coast and the people I talked with all agree: We’re going to continue to wear masks in doors (grocery stores, etc.) Although we’re doing a good job of getting people vaccinated, there are those anti-vaxxers that means this Fall we’ll have the number of cases go up along with hospitalizations and deaths. In the meantime, we’re all pretty happy not getting colds or flu. It’s a win win for us.

  32. L4Frimaire says:

I’m hope he brings a few signed copies of the Bench to give Wills kids.

  33. Sunday says:

I really hope he doesn’t go, but if he does then at least he can drop off a newly loaded burner phone for granny.

Has anyone actually seen the statue yet? I’m really hoping it’s accurate and doesn’t turn out like that Cristiano Ronaldo monstrosity, could you imagine? LOL.

Harry shouldn’t go, but healing is a journey and if he feels like he has to do this and if Meghan supports him then who am I to complain. I wish he would stay at home though, or maybe take Archie with him to open a playground or something in honor of Princess Di in California. The resulting meltdown would SO be worth it.

  34. Jay says:

I hope if he does go, it’s for his own reasons, and not to satisfy any questions or accusations from the media about healing the rifts in his family. They will be unhappy no matter what he and Meghan do – if he stays in California, it’ll be said that Meghan forced him to stay, and if he goes, how dare he show his face here after abandoning the family etc etc.
So, since you can’t please them, best just to please yourself.

I have never read the possibility that he might take Archie. That seems very farfetched, but you know the cartel will be mad – on behalf of the Queen, of course – not to have a new cute photo with JUST Harry and his son. They’d love to erase Meghan if they could and, I think, stoke comments for weeks about whether Archie favours Meghan, how Black he appears or doesn’t appear, and all kinds of articles with racist intent.

  35. HeatherC says:

Whether he goes or not, the headlines will troll Meghan

‘Meghan in fear that Harry will stay- Harry escaped her clutches to return to brother’s side!’

‘Poor Harry! Meghan demands he skip statue unveiling out of fear of losing him to duty and family!’

‘Archie not in attendance! Meghan prohibits tot from seeing his family!’

They write themselves in the most unhinged psychotic way possible jus

    • Carmen-JamRock says:

Hmmmm…..methinks the RotaRats will be too busy & preoccupied in the wake of Schillings demands and ultimatums to the puppeteers (MenInGrey) and their minions which is going on as we speak.

A “report” on the “independent investigations” was to be released this Wednesday. Schillings has torpedoed that.

      Stay tuned.

      • Nina says:

I guess that explains the crazy, froth at the mouth articles coming out of PWT’s camp regarding the so-called bullying. The greys and the Walking Wart were stopped in their tracks by Meghan’s very competent legal team and the Walking Wart is throwing an almighty tantrum. Meghan must be getting tired of winning by now BAWHAHAHAHA

    • Haylie says:

They can write whatever lies they want about Harry escaping Meghan, but Harry told us what it was in The Me You Can’t See. He doesn’t see it for those hos. Especially since they keep lying on his wife. If he chooses to go, he’ll leave ASAP, just like he did after Ol’ Phil’s funeral.

    • Tessa says:

And the bots go on about the “good old days” when Harry and William and Kate were “a family” and Harry “changed”.

  36. Dee Kay says:

I feel confident that PH will do exactly what he wants to do when he wants to do it, and it will be good. H&M have class, taste, sophistication, and intelligence and it shows in every event they do and every situation they take on.

  37. Mina_Nur says:

I hope Meghan makes a surprise appearance! Can you even imagine the chaos?!

  38. Saucy&Sassy says:

Carmen-JamRock, and there it is. I was waiting to see how the “puppets and minnows” were going to handle their really stupid PR move to accuse M as a bully. I knew when they opened this can of worms it could only backfire on them. They should really dial back all of this crap being thrown out now. When they have to clearly state that they found no instances of bullying by M, they’re going to look more incompetent than they do now. I believe her attorneys are going to require them to clear her name publicly since they accused her publicly.

    • Tessa says:

The bots claim she is “abusive” based on nothing. Making up stories about her.

  39. The Recluse says:

Ugh. I can’t believe that they still expect for Harry to bring Archie….The Delta variant of COVID-19 is still out there and spreading. They need to keep the young ones safe. It is wreaking havoc as we type on this site : it’s in Cornwall and tourism is the likely factor: it’s hitting young people.

  40. Tessa says:

It is creepy when there is speculation about His taking Archie, since the bots want him to leave Meghan and take the children.

  41. Tessa says:

It reminds me of those old movies where a wealthy titled man finds someone not in their circle and wants to marry her. The spiteful brother tries to “pay her off” and send her away and find someone “suitable” for his brother.
