Last week, American gossip outlets were still claiming that Prince Harry had to be quarantined in the UK for ten days before the fakakta statue-unveiling. But they were wrong, and/or the UK quarantine rules are confusing. While we’ve never gotten confirmation on it, I would also assume that Harry is fully vaccinated by now, which probably contributed to the Queen’s decision to stop by Frogmore Cottage last Friday to see her favorite grandson (lol). My point? I don’t know, that I don’t really understand the UK’s quarantine rules either, but I guess this could be true: the Sun claims that Harry will step out at a charity bash this evening.
Prince Harry flies to Britain early to be the “surprise guest” at a secret charity bash today. The Duke of Sussex, 36, is isolating at Frogmore Cottage before tomorrow’s unveiling of Princess Diana’s statue. But he landed in London on Friday so he can leave his quarantine 24 hours earlier and attend today’s hush-hush event as a surprise guest.
A source said: “Organisers have moved Heaven and Earth to make this happen. It’s been carefully choreographed. It’s an incredibly important day for him and the organisers want to make it as successful as possible.”
Harry was stripped of his military and royal patronages when he stepped back from royal duties to move to the US. But he and his wife Meghan, 39, have kept their private links to charities.
I find it sus that The Sun would have this exclusive information about Harry’s attendance at a charity bash… but they don’t name the charity. Hm. Harry just made an appearance at the virtually-held Diana Award charity thing, and he’s got other patronages left in the UK as well, like WellChild and African Parks. I wonder if it’s for WellChild? He used to do a lot of work for WellChild. It would be funny if Harry did something for Heads Together, the now practically-defunct “umbrella charity” for all of his work, Kate’s work and William’s work on mental health. Kate and William have barely said anything about Heads Together in the past year.

I can see Harry squeezing in a charity visit if he can. Because his ass will be on a plane the evening after the statue unveiling.
If this is true, it is just so Harry. Just quietly and undramatically doing the work while the Other Brother and Keen Kate spend all their time spinning their wheels and ramping up drama about nothing.
If you have scheduled your COVID tests prior to arriving in the UK, you can test out at day 5 in Britain’s “Test to Release” program. This is available for anyone to use and makes sense for Harry to minimize his time in the UK. 🙂

Slightly different. Funerals are exempt. You can quarantine, attend funeral only, and then you’re back in quarantine.
If however, he was properly quarantining – the Queen should not have visited him. No matter what his vaccination status. He can still pass it on- and she can spread it to the whole of Scotland
Maybe they visited outside and she sat at one end of Frogmore garden and he sat the appropriate distance away. I’m sure they are all completely vaccinated by now and I think they could meet at a certain distance outside and perhaps masked.

They are probably shaking every tree humanly possible to get whatever Harry crumbs they can get. They clearly got a whiff the SOMETHING is happening but couldn’t get the details. Because if they did, they would have splashed it all over the news.
Well, I guess it’s not a secret anymore. But it’s The Dim reporting and they have zero access to the Sussexes, so I have my doubts. Part of me hopes it’s not true just so The Dim can look like the idiots they are.
I doubt it’s Wellchild because at the WC events we have seen Harry attend in the past, there are lots of children there and I don’t think they would organize something like that right now.

He’s arrived at Kew Gardens. Outdoor events are allowed to have as many people as can be accommodated with social distancing.

Outdoor events have to be risk-assessed and comply with detailed safety rules. The football match for example had 50% of the stadium’s capacity. The statue unveiling is being restricted to those with some involvement in the project and to Diana’s family – her sons, her sisters and her brother. Perhaps Kate has no connection with Diana.
I get the impression that these restrictions, which include a ban on the royal rota rats, are Harry’s conditions for attending.
So someone is leaking Harry’s plans and day-of movements? Between this and the weird flurry of oddly specific details in the tabloids’ stories recently (vegas, boys lunch, etc), I really think that Harry is feeding information out as a trap to catch someone in an active, current leak so he’ll have definitive proof who’s seeding these stories.

Harry isn’t leaking anything. The tabloids just have a 24/7 harry watch stationed outside of frogmore just in case they spot him. Obviously palace aides aren’t far away (hello windsor castle) and harry did used to work under palace operations with certain charities that he still has.

The source knows the organizers moved “heaven and earth” but doesn’t know who the organizers are? Or maybe it’s the charity that’s a secret – yes, because charities don’t want any media about what they’re doing. In any case, I guess now Harry won’t be a “surprise” guest.
It was a suprise to the guests. It’s the Well Child Awards. Harry arrived over 2 hours ago. Hopefully there’ll be photos released soon.

Rules aren’t that complicated. You have to quarantine for 10 days and get tested on Day 2 and Day 8. But if you also elect to get tested on Day 5 and it and Day 2 test are negative you can end quarantine early. Today’s Day 5 I believe.
I’m glad he managed to do something with one of his charities. Of course anything they do there will leak but those rota reporters won’t be there and will have to get one of their moles to give them info. Based on the way the Matt Hancock affair was exposed, these tabloids seem to have a lot of surveillance going on.

I hope he gave out copies of The Bench. I watched a video, looked like it was from someone’s phone, and it looked lovely. I’m sure he would rather be busy and accomplish a few things while he is there and done with quarantine than sit around waiting to see if Waity shows up at his mothers statue unveiling.

I don’t know how UK is doing on vaccines but everyone I know in the US has been vaccinated (2nd shots plus 2 weeks) since May.

@Kale, probably because Harry was more than likely fully vaccinated before going to Philip’s funeral (and Vax live event), quarantined/tested and children with underlying medical issues/serious illness have been vaccinated. It also looks like from the photos that there is a certain amount of social distancing going on at this outdoors event.
Kate didn’t get her first jab until the end of May. Long after she was around children that weren’t her own.
No vaccine is approved for children under 12, FYI, and not even sure if vaccination of 12-18 year olds is underway at all in the UK.
True. I do know that about the US and only know of 2 situations regarding a child under 12 getting the vaccine under an emergency use situation. It doesn’t look like the UK is the same as the US yet in the 12-18 year old range yet. I would be wrong in assuming that. Protocols are different now. Kate was being hassled about the mask when masks were expected/mandated?. That’s the difference and reason for no outcries. That should have been my initial reply.

Masks were never mandated in the UK outdoors, so she wasn’t breaking the rule. So Harry is more than likely vaccinated? It’s speculation. And I thought according to posters in this forum Kate and William were vaccinated a looong time ago and the pictures they posted were fake. Make it make sense…
