Will Queen Elizabeth ‘disinvite’ the Sussexes from the Platinum Jubilee next year?

From left, Queen Elizabeth II, Meghan Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry Duke of Sussex, Prince William Duke of Cambridge and Katherine Duchess of Cambridge watch the RAF 100th anniversary flypast from the balcony of Buckingham Palace, London, Tuesday 10th J

In June, Buckingham Palace began making and announcing plans for Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee, which will be in June 2022. There will basically be a four-day holiday in the UK, full of parades, fly-overs, regattas, balcony-waves and parties. Buckingham Palace emphasized that the Queen would invite the entire Sussex family to the Jubilee celebrations because it was a family event (and likely the Queen’s last major Jubilee). Sources close to Harry and Meghan allegedly said they would definitely consider coming for the Jubilee, which started another round of angst and idiocy from the British media about how terrible it will be if the Sussexes show up, and whether they would be allowed on the balcony, etc. Now that Harry is writing his memoir, apparently someone thinks that the Queen will disinvite the Sussexes:

Prince Harry’s tell-all book is likely to see him sidelined for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee bash. The Duke’s memoir — due out shortly after the party — is threatening to widen the family rift and put the royal celebration in turmoil. Royal sources say it will make it “impossible” for him and Meghan to attend.

The Duke, 36, surprised dad Charles, 72, and his brother William, 39, by revealing he was writing a book about his life. Royal insiders fear it will go further than his Oprah interview, in which Harry, 36, and Meghan, 39, branded an unnamed family member as a “racist”.

Palace sources said: “Everyone now thinks it is inconceivable that he and Meghan can be part of the Platinum Jubilee. Bringing it out in 2022 when the Queen is celebrating will dampen the party.”

Royal author Penny Junor said: “The family must be despairing, this is a man who they all love and he seems to be doing his best to embarrass and damage his family. I think it’s a bit early to be writing a proper memoir. I imagine it is self justification and it’s exploring himself, and finding himself, but it’s going to be, I suspect, at other people’s expense.”

[From The Sun]

Junor is the second person I’ve seen make the “Harry is too young to write his memoir” argument (the first was Richard Kay). It feels like a talking point coming from Charles’ camp, right? And it’s a stupid talking point – clearly, given the Windsors’ absolute panic, Harry has enough to talk about in a memoir. As for the Sussexes being disinvited… it’s curious that no one is saying specifically that the Queen WILL disinvite them. It’s more like a vague threat being made by Charles’ camp and by the British press.

No offense but there’s no guarantee she’ll even still be around in a year…

    • Miranda says:

Yeah, that’s assuming a lot. I don’t want to be too morbid, but I can’t help but think of my step-grandma and my great-aunt. They were both in their mid-90s and still quite healthy and alert and all that, but after their husbands passed away, they kinda went downhill rather quickly. I certainly hope that doesn’t happen to the Queen, but I can’t help thinking about it.

      • Elvie says:

This is too true. My grandmother died very suddenly two weeks ago without warning. She had a “mini heart attack” in the bathroom and was gone. My husband’s grandmother recently just did not wake up one morning.

      • Chica says:

Yeah but Philip and Lizbet weren’t together in the traditional sense. He had a companion which is why QEII has been blooming since his death.

      • (TheOG) Jan90067 says:

So very sorry for your losses, Elvie! 💔

I have to say though, when it’s my time, I want it to be quick or better yet, in my sleep. Suffering through an illness, short or long, isn’t something I’d want, or want my family to have to go through.

      • Elvie says:

Thank you Jan. That has given me a lot of comfort honestly. When my grandfather died 14 years ago it was in the hospital from very painful bone cancer. I prefer this way.

      • Me says:

Her mother lived to be over 100. My money in the ghoul stakes is on Charles predeceasing his mother. The internecine strife once PWT has control of ALL the money—Lancaster as King and Cornwall because his heir is a minor, will be a story and a half—The Crown will have to keep going.

I would be flabbergasted if the Sussexes came to the jubilee—I can’t see Harry, let alone Meghan, exposing themselves and their children to the UK. Maybe, Harry would come for an appearance or two, but the way the D variants are popping off, this jubilee seems like wishful thinking.

      • (TheOG) Jan90067 says:

My dad is almost 94, and I know I don’t want him to suffer in a hospital bed. With Covid variants getting more and more prevalent, I’m afraid of things becoming like they were 18 mos. ago: Dad got 2 blood clots in his lungs and pneumonia. He was hospitalized for 4 wks (3 in the hospital, 1 wk in rehab to get his strength up). We could not visit him in person during that whole time. We were grateful his busy nurses would FaceTime with us once a day, and we called him every half hr. to stave off confusion, but I noticed a steep decline in his cognition from that point on. I don’t think he’d come out of another hospitalization like that at this age.

I wouldn’t wish that on anyone.

I hope their memories are a blessing for you, Elvie! ❤️

    • Red Snapper says:

She’s lost weight since the pandemic began, at least 20 pounds.

      • susan says:

there’s no old fat people. your caloric needs go down as does your ability to digest food. but I’m guessing she still has her noontime champagne, her teatime cocktail, and her 2 gin and tonics every day.

one lesson I learned the hard way-never get between old people and their alcohol.

    • Over it says:

Harry regrets he can’t attend in June because he has plans to go to the Hamptons. Meg will send some cleverblend, a few copies of the bench and Harry will send his memoir and a dvd copy of the me you can’t see. All the best gran and we will definitely talk soon.
      Best regards
      Harry

    • Still_Sarah says:

@ Jan 90067 : My dad’s cousin was in his sixties and was told at a doctor’s appointment that he had a bad heart and should take it easy. He ignored the doctor, walked home (through snow) from the doctor’s office and died that night in his sleep.

      • (TheOG) Jan90067 says:

        So very sorry, Still_Sarah 💔

Perhaps this was his way of saving/shielding his family from prolonged suffering of watching him suffer from heart failure? My dad has had a diagnosis of congestive heart failure for almost 5 yrs. now. He’s at early stage 2 (of 4 stages). We caught a major TIA (thinking it was a stroke) that led to a pacemaker being put in. It can be a long battle.

    • Killfanora says:

That pic of her in the chair wearing the blue gilet is priceless! It’s the look of someone gloating “Mwahahaha family! Harry and I have put the cat amongst the pidgeons”

    • Beth says:

The palace need them more than they need the palace. Without H &M , it will be an empty celebration. No one will be interested.

    • Natters says:

I agree. If I were Harry I would have waited till she passed to publish his memoir. Maybe he thinks it’s okay because his feelings for her are very positive so he feels she will not take offense. As for the rest of the family…In the end your story is your story to tell. If you are one of the people in Prince Harry’s life who is worried and taking offense then you must be complicit in his narrative.

      • equality says:

If she is aware of all that goes on why did she not ever issue statements in defense of Harry? She could have said how happy she was that Lilibet had her nickname, for example. If she can’t be bothered why should her opinion be considered?

      • Maria says:

Her son didn’t have any qualms about publishing a memoir about what a crappy mother she was. The others have gone on record to say the same. I fail to see why this would hurt her more than that. In any case, she and Harry may have a private close relationship and that is his business but she’s made no public statements so I don’t see why he should refrain from telling his story just for her sake, particularly as I doubt anything in it will be badmouthing her.

  2. Alexandria says:

Do I want to see the Sussexes stand amongst these snakes? No.

    • Miranda says:

There’s a part of me that DOES want to see it, though. To see them standing on the balcony, all defiant, just DARING His Incandescence to say something. That would please me very much.

    • Myra says:

Same. I really don’t see Meghan intentionally going to an environment where she is made to feel unwelcomed. She comes across as someone who knows her worth and values her mental well-being. I admire that about her. I know they are Harry’s family but there are other ways to connect with family, other than taking part in the pomp and pageantry, just for the sake of it.

    • Beth says:

I was going to like your comment then I realized there isn’t a like button 😆poor me

  3. Merricat says:

The rota and the rf are so predictable. And so boring. I’ll be glad when the market for this drivel dries up.

    • NCDancer says:

This. All of this. It’s just dumb and tedious. As if any of this ish matters.

      • Still_Sarah says:

@ Merricat : “when the market for this drivel dries up”. I remember the appetite for anything Kennedy in the ’60′s and ’70′s. And then Princess Margaret and her follies (divorce, flying off with young lovers to the Caribbean) hit her stride in the ’80′s. Then Princess Di. Then the internet and reality TV and anything Kardashian. And so on and so on. The market for this drivel (or drivel adjacent stuff) never dries up.

    • Becks1 says:

Yeah, we all saw this coming. and if it wasn’t about the memoir, it would be about something else. The next year is going to be all about whether or not the Sussexes will attend the jubilee.

It’s really not H&M’s fault the rest of the royals are so boring.

      • GRUEY says:

Christ it’s going to be a long tedious 18 months between now and the publication of that memoir.

      • AD says:

@ Becks 1Well you got that right. They were discussing why the H & M are so popular among Gen Z’s and Millenials and someone mentioned that Charles has been on this sustainability and climate change train for a while but no one is paying attention not because the issue is not important but because it is just not resonating. They also mentioned Elegant Bill and Kate on mental health etc and the response Elegant bill is seen as his father’s son and people are just not excited.

No, it is because Elegant bill is not authentic and Charles just does not have the charisma. Even the Duchy of Cornwall money cannot buy those elements and there you have it.

      • Still_Sarah says:

@ AD : Charles has always been a charisma-free zone.

    • Over it says:

Shush Harry. Don’t talk about yourself, you know nothing about yourself, you are too young to know anything about yourself. Let us write books about you for you to know who you are. Sign penny and company.

    • Mac says:

The RRs are probably over the moon. This is an exciting plot twist in the world’s longest running reality TV show. And we all know they want the dirt as much as the rest of us.

    • AD says:

I agree with you NCDancer. The horror of being disinvited (roling my eyes). The world ends when the monarchy disinvites the Sussexes. So I say stop talking about it. Let the Queen go ahead and not only disinvite them but also take their titles. One caller was mad and said Harry is responsible for the US hating the Monarchy lol!

Anyway, from one of the major news media, they finally admitted that they might be getting this wrong that they are not the audience as it seems as though his memoir is being well-received in the US. Bingo! My 7 year old nephew could have figured that out. All your outrage mean jack blank over here. Noboday cares.

These people are crazy though. Remember how they were getting on their case about not putting any content out for Netflix and Spotify (yeah like Netflix made them judge and jury). Saying they bit off more than they could chew. Then the Megcame out with Pearl, then it outrage. She had been working on it premegxit. What do these people want. They really have a hard on for her.

  4. equality says:

I think this is just the royal experts and haters dream for the Queen to disown them. I don’t think it’s happening. Charles and Will most likely will manipulate so only direct heirs are on balcony to emphasize their importance. If I were H&M I would only attend private events anyway. If H&M aren’t there the level of interest will certainly be less.

    • (TheOG) Jan90067 says:

Didn’t he already “slim the balcony” during the last birthday balcony bit before Covid? No “extenders”, just Brenda’s kids and their families?

Then of course, was the Christmas pic on Ol’ Brenda’s desk, with only her Petty Prince, Petulant Prince, and George.

So yeah, I can see this as a way to say, “Who, me?”, and to stick it to Harry (whom I doubt would even want to subject his wife and kids to the BM 🐀s and the racist scrutiny).

      • Lorelei says:

@Jan I’m going to need you to clarify which one is Petty and which one is Petulant because it could go either way with those two

      • (TheOG) Jan90067 says:

LOL. Yes, they ARE interchangeable, but I was referring to Charles as Petty (over Eddie), and TOBB (The Other *Bitter* Brother, as I call him) as Petulant in this instance.

  5. Mina_Esq says:

lol this again! Someone remind them that their strategy has failed spectacularly. They may want to try being nice to the Sussexes for a change.

  6. taris says:

these larkies think disinviting h+m to some party or stripping them of their titles is some kind of punishment … like, grow up!
harry and meghan don’t give a shit

  7. paranormalgirl says:

and they have no idea what’s even in the damned book.

  8. aquarius64 says:

Sure. Keep advertising you got something to hide Windsors.

  9. Lizzie says:

Standing on the balcony is really the be all and end all for this family. Remember pedo Andy’s rage when Charles kept his family off the balcony for one of these do’s ? He was outraged he and his princess daughters were not allowed.
    edit
Also I thought the rf really wanted Meghan on the balcony so they could forever more point to that and say ‘see we are not racist’ .

    • AD says:

Well in their defense that’s all they know. Their whole world begins and ends on that balcony. Being there in their eyes show status. That why I think they all need to get real jobs. Honestly, the whole thing is just so juvenile.

    • Saucy&Sassy says:

Lizzie, I’m confused. Since H&M are no longer working royals, why would they be part of anything of a formal nature with the family? Couldn’t they attend without being on the balcony. Frankly, I would feel exposed if I were them.

  10. MsIam says:

The queen can host a state dinner for Trump but her grandson and his family are a no go? Besides, I thought if the Sussexes went they “wouldn’t be allowed to stand on the balcony!” Harrumph! These people! I’ve always felt that the Sussexes should drop by and see the queen on the way home from Invictus (if it happens given COVID) and then hop right on the plane for home.

    • Amy Bee says:

Yeah, if Harry and Meghan go they’re going to be kept off the balcony.

      • Lorelei says:

@AmyBee in which case I don’t think they should go. Not because I think the balcony is the pinnacle that the BRF thinks it is, but purely on principle — it would be so insulting & offensive and why should they show up to be treated like that, AGAIN

      • AD says:

They would want nothing better than to put them in their place by embarassing them.

  11. Simone says:

The rota have been very quiet about whether The Queen knew about the book. Someone on twitter mentioned that the RF are holding the bullying allegations over Meghan until next year & now Harry is holding a memoir over their heads until late next year. The courtiers have already been making the Jubilee a nightmare for H & M, they made Lili’s name a nightmare, William said disgusting things about Meghan to Lacey. There is the possibility that Harry told TQ when he saw her a few weeks ago & that this was a deilberate leak by Random House so it looks like they had to announce the book over a year early. As the person on twitter said – don’t pick a fight with a soldier. #checkmate

    • Lili says:

I’m hoping her gave her an advance draft copy, when he was in town for the statue unveiling. maybe a link that ony she can access on her ipad. LOl

    • Nancy says:

Simone, one can only hope this is all true. #karmabestservedcold

    • Feeshalori says:

      I love this theory, payback’s a b@#tch!

    • Topaz says:

Simone love the theory maybe Betty is in on it. Someone else mentioned maybe Betty wants to be the last monarch and is supporting Harry in burning it all to the ground.

    • BnlurNforever says:

I don’t care if Harry has special affection for that woman, she’s a monster and I hate the way she’s talked about like she’s some special snowflake that he should give favors to. Yeah, she’s older and maybe not presently in charge of the monarchy, but she was for a longtime and her behavior then was in some cases downright evil, she’s no better than Charles/William, she’s just old.

      • Saucy&Sassy says:

BnlurNforever, I don’t think that anyone believes she’s without blame for many things over the course of her reign. I have reached the opinion that she treated Meghan well–possibly the only royal who did. I think that (along with Harry’s obvious affection for her) is why people are giving her a pass as a GRANDMOTHER. They’re not giving her a pass as a monarch, and I doubt they ever would.

  12. Amy Bee says:

Yeah this is definitely coming from CH and just like the Remembrance Day ceremony, the Queen is the figurehead but the organising committee is headed by Charles. I have my doubts that Harry even wants to go this event because he’s always hated these things. It could be that he has already told the Queen that he was not going to be there but I believe that Charles will let be known that Harry and Meghan were disinvited just as he did for Remembrance Day. It’s also interesting that all talk about Lili’s christening in Windsor has disappeared since the book announcement. That was definitely a false story put out there to get Harry to respond.

  13. Krista says:

OMG, make up your minds, RR’s! In one article we have Harry acting like a child when he’s “on the cusp of middle age”, but now he’s not old enough to write a memoir?

This is the way most whistle blowers are treated though. The people who have most to lose attack the ones who shine a light on the shady goings-on in a company (or the Firm in this case). The royal family must be shitting bricks right now.

  14. ABritGuest says:

Whether the Sussexes attend or not they will be a focus of the jubilee events. The press want the Sussexes at the jubilee so trust this narrative will flip to how can they let the queen down if they choose not to attend (if they are invited- I doubt Elizabeth is going to disinvite). If I was in same boat I wouldn’t do the public events anyway.

these reporters/experts who happily discussed Thomas Markle insulting his own daughter, how much William/Kate hated Meghan, how the queen didn’t want them discussed or invited to balmoral etc have some nerve talking about Harry hurting his family. And a ‘loving’ family wouldn’t have stood by whilst their own was slandered daily in the press or even helped feed the press beast.

Penny Junor has written about Harry so hopefully she takes her book out of circulation as he was too young for her bio.

Anyway I wouldn’t be surprised if Harry’s book has very faint references to Charles/William & maybe focuses on lessons he learned from his mother about charity work, possibly his grandparents re service, mentors like mark Dyer or army guys & then the big press complaint will be how dare he not credit Charles, William & the great peacemaker Kate.

    • Zapp Brannigan says:

In my imagination Harry’s book has a chapter on each person that had an impact on his life, school mentor that helped him with dyslexia, army mentor, Invictus mentor, Senetable mentor, and so on, he speaks about how their work influenced his life and his work, nary a mention of the Royal family, that would really chap their collective behinds.

      • (TheOG) Jan90067 says:

“Harry is going to tell EVERYONE how horrible his family was to him!!!”

“Harry didn’t say ONE WORD about us!!! How DARE he ignore his family!!”

Pick one or the other…each will apply if the other is done.

  15. Catherine says:

What a hypocrite Penny Junor is. She wrote a book about Harry to coincide with his 30th birthday. I guess he wasn’t too young for a biography. Katie Nichol and Angela Levin have also written Harry biographies. It’s not too soon for Harry because he has had so much written about him. That is what this book is about. A chance for him to challenge the narratives. A chance to introduce himself to the world without the filter of the British media. As for the Jubilee. That just made me laugh. It’s been the media hyping up their potential attendance and only speculation about their desire to attend. Harry clearly loves and respects his Grandma so if invited I think she would attend but I don’t think it will matter much to him if he doesn’t get to stand on the balcony. Also I don’t think Harry and Meghan will ever have their children on that balcony or on any Sandringham Christmas walk. I don’t think they will want their children used for PR like that.

  16. JennyJazzhands says:

This is really a lot, considering they don’t even know what the book will say. They’ve already jumped the gun and have to prove their made-up bullying claims. You would think they would chill being so hot-headed and ham-fisted with threatening things that haven’t happened yet?

  17. teresa says:

They want to be “mentioned” by him, they need it, they are addicted to the attention they get when he speaks. It’s kind of hilarious watching them react before anyone has read one word of this future book.

What if he doesn’t really mention them, what if he writes about how he grew, as a human being, how he learned to move on from pain and anguish and live his best life. They are so afraid he won’t “mention” them at all.

  18. HeatherC says:

Harry has lived a big life since the moment he was born. I’m interested in this book, not because of the possible spilling of tea (which will still be delicious even in small amounts), but because of everything else. THe development of Invictus Games, working with Prince Leeiso in founding Sentebale, his time in the military, his less than pleasant actions when he was younger and how he learned and grew from that, his difficulties in school (I think he has dyslexia?), sprinkle some of his mom in there, meeting Meghan, the first time he held Archie and Lili (First born and girldad might be a happy touching passage). I don’t think he’s going to spill as much tea as everyone, including the palaces, think. Remember the uproar over Finding Freedom and it ended up being pretty mild.

  19. Mandy says:

I mean…would they even want to go? Why would they?

    • Lizzie says:

so Harry can stand right in front of Keen. That’s my hope anyway.

      • (TheOG) Jan90067 says:

She’d probably elbow him out of the way to stand in front. Or wear another gigantic hat to block him and Meghan (like she did the other time).

      • Becks1 says:

Yeah you dont cross Kate on the balcony. She takes her position front and center and she STAYS and the only time I’ve seen her budge from that is when William made her move. and even then he had to gesture like 3 times for her to move.

  20. Mandy says:

I mean…would they even want to go? Why would they?

  21. Rapunzel says:

Harry will be invited as he clearly has a decent relationship with TQ, if not the rest of the family.

Now, if TQ dies, a possibility a her age, then Chuck might start disinviting.

RRs are just dusty, old brittle saltines, stale and crumbling to dust because Harry beat them at their own game.

    • Amy Bee says:

That decent relationship didn’t help when it came to laying down Harry’s wreath at the Remembrance Day, a decision that was gleefully briefed to press. It also didn’t stop the Palace from reacting poorly to his daughter being named after the Queen. It wouldn’t surprise me if Harry was disinvited and if he is invited I’m sure Meghan’s name will be left off the invitation.

      • Rapunzel says:

True enough about the wreath and Lili, but I’d say Harry and Meg know more than we do, and they don’t seem to be holding grudges. So I think they’ll be invited. Now, will they go? IDK. And is it possible that if both are invited Harry might go alone anyhow? IDK.

      • teecee says:

Are they not holding grudges or are they making the kinds of excuses lots of (especially white) people make for their grandparents’ bigotry? Or perhaps they realize that Elizabeth’s unexplained popularity with the British press and public means they can’t be completely honest about her failures without risking a full-out assault. Because as bad as this has been, it would be worse if the press could point to a specific instance of H&M criticizing Elizabeth, even if it was deserved.

      • Becks1 says:

@teecee I think its a combination of several factors – I think H&M know more than we do, and I think they know how little control the Queen has these days – remember Harry’s comment about her being surrounded by bad advisors or whatever.

I also do think they are excusing her bigotry, she’s 95 and Phillip was basically 99 and his racism was reduced to “gaffes” or “off color remarks”. If the Queen is making racist remarks in private, Harry probably just accepts it at this point because he loves her.

And I absolutely think that they 100% knew going into the interview and the podcast and TMYCS that they could not utter a single word against the Queen because of her popularity. That would have turned even more people against them. So even if they had wanted to, they knew they could not.

      • BnlurNforever says:

@teecee, I completely agree with you. I truly believe that their behavior towards her is strategic and it’s smart. I’m not getting into how he personally feels about her as a grandmother because people are complicated and I actually don’t really care that much to be honest. But he’s not the stupid man the BM have tried to convince the world he is and so he KNOWS who she is, like he knows who his father is and he knows who his bother is. He and especially Meghan knows what NOT to do, which is why they’ve played this almost flawlessly.

    • BabsORIG says:

@Rapunzel, if the queen kicks it, there won’t be nothing for Chuck to disinvite from and he can’t disinvite the Sussexes from the queen’s funeral.🤣

  22. Over it says:

Maybe this is Harry way of saying I don’t want an invitation. I am done with you racist fuckers.

  23. Oshin says:

I am more interested in his relationship with Diana

  24. LaraW” says:

Oh noes! Whatever shall we do if they don’t invite the Sussexes and we possibly lose millions of £s from clicks and selling new photos!

It’s a foregone conclusion the Sussexes will be invited. The BM won’t allow anything else— their flagging bottom line depends on it.

  25. tamsin says:

How can any person with an ounce of self-awareness and integrity not be affected eventually by the pettiness, lying, and bullying involved in so-called royal “reporting” and eventually arrive at some form of self-loathing for making a living by such pathetic means. The kindest take is that they are frustrated fiction writers, but ones who lack humanity, and do not see the humanity of their “victims.”

  26. Fawsia says:

    People grow and change!

  27. J ferber says:

A balcony disinvite is hilarious to me. Since most commoners don’t even have a balcony (backyard patio or deck, yes), I’d re-write it like this, “Stay off the deck, Harry. You had better stay off the deck. Goddamn you, Harry, off the deck!” It’s asinine, juvenile and such a potent symbolic jab since we know they’d rathet throw their immediate family OFF the balcony. It’s sort of a royal equivalent to throwing someone under the bus. Except it’s a balcony. Stupid as hell.

    • Jaded says:

Yeah…it’s like the grumpy old fart next door yelling at kids to “get off my lawn!!!” I would imagine if H&M decide to go it will be a stealth visit – no public appearances, just a private meet and greet with Gran then peace out back to Montecito.

  28. Cisne says:

Did Harry not say in his Oprah interview that he would never name names re that racist interactions with his family member(s)?

Yah Random House is a real bitch for letting this leak but that is how they will make back their signing bonus and generate interest in the project/book. All these rich white people are so shady and vile. Probably got paid for this information by some media mogul.

I bet Harry’s book will speak of his familial experiences – growing up with his mom and brother, and father in that order of emphasis; his school days & dealing with his mom’s death/life in Royal family after her death/his relationship with his grandparents; his time as a soldier and then as a working royal/building his charitable organizations and chops; the finale’ -meeting Meghan and becoming his own man; Being a non working royal, father, husband and finding his way as an independent man, the royal strings and support cut off. Finding some mental good health and peace in this part of his life.

He is being one of the lions who will and is able to write his story, so that the hunter wont be made out to be the hero, and the hunter’s record wont stand without a counter.

There will be no mention of Camilla; No revealing of the bold-faced racist; No deep dive into Charles the horrible husband and lacking father nor of William the abusive, amoral bastard. BUT! There will be the beatdown of the press and paparazzi for sure.

The British Press and the KP and CH as usual are going to cynically milk this book until publication for clicks and revenue with these inane stories which vilify Meghan.

  29. Lizzie says:

As I said above I would love to see Harry stand right in front of Keen on the balcony. But if they don’t go maybe they would post a congrat’s to the queen along with a family pic. Talk about overshadowing!

  30. EllieK says:

    Why is this news?

  31. J ferber says:

    Sorry, “rather,” not rathet

  32. Nic919 says:

It’s really amazing how the same people who have written books about Harry can say with a straight face that he’s not old enough to write a memoir. Then what the hell have they been peddling?

Harry doesn’t care about the jubilee. If the Queen wants him there he will be but otherwise I don’t see how this will make a difference. Kate won’t have anyone to remind William to not leave her out in the rain, as Harry had to do last time, but maybe she will have her own umbrella.

  33. MangoAngelesque says:

Harry will wind up writing about how much fun his mom was when he was a young boy, how much it hurt growing up after she died. How the military shaped him. How his mother’s legacy moved him to Lesotho. He’ll talk about Sentebale, his work with kids, veterans, and various countries/cultures and how it all caused him to recognize his privilege and how he could impact the world.

And yes, he’ll likely devote a bit of capital to the negative impact of the paparazzi and media, but not nearly as much as as the things that positively impacted him, because why give them free rent?

But I bet anything he’ll keep his words toward his grandmother very positive, and things about the rest of his family either neutral, passing, or nonexistent. This is HIS memoir, not the monarchy’s. The fact that they think he has no story to tell that isn’t about THEM is pathetic, but totally on-brand for a group of narcissists.

  34. Calibration says:

I think Betty knows, and i think he told her at that private visit at Windsor. And i suspect she does not care one iota.

i wonder what she thinks of Charles/William as F and FF? especially William? i think she knows the writing’s on the wall.

  35. Izzy says:

This now? It’s like… Fakakta Statue Two: Jubilee Boogaloo

  36. Cary says:

Just to get a grip on matters: Harry wants to publish his “memoirs” aka “I am a spoiled prince and once represented the Queen in Vegas by showing of the royal jewelry” and he did quit the RF and he wants to diss the Royal Family in his bio and calls them racists and them being a prison but he expects that his daughter be christened in that family’s chapel as if he still represented Britain as a Royal and he expects to be invited for the jubilee of the Queen and her family. yeah, that works just so well. Calling people racist and then expect them to bend over for your spoiled little one. It is interesting that Meghan manages to keep out of this – at least she keeps her name out of that public mud slinging press.

  37. Curious says:

the press was saying ,how can Harry do this or that his grandmother is in mourning. then out comes the Queen in public, happy like no tomorrow, she is glowing, she is so happy her smile and glow is never ending ,like a newly wed young girl… in the meanwhile her children /grandchildren are fighting against each other . her great grandchildren are being blasted by the press. and the queen is going about her merry happy glowing smiling life, like its not her family. lol. she is like, i am done with all of you, time for me to enjoy my last few yrs.. the queen got nothing to say to Charles, if she could say anything ,harry would still have his medals, Charles and William decided to take it away from him.and the queen had to go with their decisions. the heirs are not listening to the queen anymore, the power is in Charles hands, with Camilla telling him what to do . Camilla knows all Charles secret. she was always stronger than him emotionally.

  38. Marivic says:

When you hear Prince Harry speak, he is articulate and smart. He talks with so much sense and sincerity. And he has the most amazing and admirable emotional quotient. The trolls, the British media, and his brother are mad at him and throws at him almost everything one can think of even the kitchen sink. They are all consumed with racist rage and jealousy. The world sees them. And the world loves Prince Harry. These British racists cannot brainwash the world. We see you.

  39. serena says:

They’re so pathetic, what they’re really doing is showing everyone how guilty they are.

By throwing away a great education, do you mean not going to college? Do you want the list of successful people who didn’t go to college? College isn’t for everyone.

And yes I was referring to the Nazi costume, and the naked billiards, and other Vegas exploits. I want to read about what he learned, how he grew, what work he did on himself to get to where he is now. I don’t know if you know this, but he married a biracial woman and is the father of 2 biracial children and has an African American mother in law he seems to like a lot. He worked on himself, that’s interesting to me.

  42. HeatherC says:

This comment was to another comment that was deleted. Probable troll that is popping up on all the harry threads

  43. Calibration says:

people have said for years that Harry is stupid but he had undiagnosed dyslexia. But the trolls love that stuff.
