Lea Michele at a public appearance for L...

Lea Michele is very happy for Beanie Feldstein after Beanie was cast in the revival of Funny Girl. Lea would like to say, for the record, that she is not going to sh-t in anyone’s wig over this casting which she is definitely very happy about. [Dlisted]

And yet another reason why I will never set a foot into Hobby Lobby.

I’m really sad for the transgender employee who works there. I don’t know their reason for working in such a hateful atmosphere, but it can’t be their first choice.

      • Mcmmom says:

Did it say she has worked there for TWENTY THREE years? After 23 years, Hobby Lobby doesn’t consider her like family? I can’t believe they would go out of their way to hurt her like that – particularly when she had been part of their community for so long.

I didn’t need another reason to hate Hobby Libby but here we go. What a vile place

Erotic thrillers went away with everything else adult and provocative over the last two decades as Disney bought up everything and made it ~family friendly.~ It’s shocking to watch stuff from my childhood and realize how sanitized modern stuff is in comparison. Backwards. We are going backwards.

On another note, Lea Michelle is the definition of karma face. Better yet, she did that all herself.

I have no comment on Lea, but Beanie is very pretty. I only noticed during the recent wave of publicity around her (even though I have zero interest in watching her turn as Monica Lewinsky, I think they’re both beautiful).

Lea…for the record…you’re not funny and I would be more than happy to $hit in any wig you will ever need….should people actually want to watch you’re terrific skills of being a horrible co-worker…

Lea Michele is Exhibit A in the “Why You Should Never Believe Too Much Your Own Publicity” Ted Talk.

  5. Rai says:

She might be a terrible person but I have adopted ‘I will sh** in your wig” as my own. But only in Walmart.

If Lea Michele were working before social media, Funny Girl would be her role. I mean, I’m sorry, it feels like her role. But there’s enough ways and means to tell a-behind-the-scenes story about celebs these days, not filtered through mainstream press, and enough distressing stuff has come out about her from first hand accounts, that I can see her likability factor would put her out of the running and put Beanie in.

Obvi, I’m never going to applaud a monster-on-set getting a starring role and then making life miserable for everyone. But y’know, Christian Bale, Tom Cruise, etc have on set rages and they still star in stuff. I do think Lea Michele is enormously talented.

    • Anna says:

Let’s be honest. Lea Michele is NO Streisand. No one but Barbra Streisand owns that role. A remake is so unnecessary but I guess Hollywood only cares about its bottom line. LM has a slight resemblance, no more, and she doesn’t have the range or status. She is famous for one kids’ television ensemble show. She isn’t Barbra. Stop puffing up this nasty little racist bully unwarrantedly.

Sorry I won’t be crying for a super rich white woman not getting one (1) role.

We should have enough intellectual capacity to both understand this about Lea Michele and *simultaneously* criticize others who harass coworkers or crew.

    • girl_ninja says:

I thinks just fine. She’s one note Streisand want to be.

  7. steph says:

Beanie supremacy!!! I want her to take over the world!

  8. Grace says:

Lea would have been great. But kind of seems like she hasn’t wanted the role for awhile anyways. Wonder how she feels about the continued association. Glee may have briefly made her enormously popular but it (and herself) also screwed over her career trajectory. Always felt she’d be more successful if she’d just stayed on broadway longer

    • LillyfromLillooet says:

@grace HEARD. Broadway is a much safer place to hide your mean diva cray cray.

  9. Mikey says:

I will be able to see the show now that Leah is not in it. Although I am getting tired of all the remakes.

  10. J ferber says:

I heard Leah sing Barbra briefly and, just no. She was more interested in imitating Barbra than making the song an homage to Barbra, but with her own interpretation. Why go for imitation Barbra when the real Barbra does herself best?

  11. Ann says:

I have kind of a soft spot for Lea because she was in the original “Spring Awakening” with Jonathan Groff. I never saw it live, just videos of her performance as Wendla and she was very very good. The actress we saw in the touring production in Houston was good, but not great.

I know she’s a diva and a jerk but she is very talented. Happy for Beanie, though. I saw her in one film (didn’t know she could sing!) and liked her a lot.
