This is silly, but every time I see Chasten’s name, I hear it as “chase-en”, like the disciplinary kind. I wish parents wouldn’t do that to their children!

@SJ, I assume that’s not how it’s pronounced because it seems so silly (and such a terrible name given its meaning), but I haven’t listened to anyone say it. I have been thinking it’s pronounced Chast-en.
I 100% pronounced it like Jason with a Ch-. Is this wrong?!

I agree that Chasten seems like an odd word to use as a name. I too wonder how it’s pronounced.
I was just thinking about how my brain kind of goes fzzzzttt when I see “Chasten.” I’m just glad I gave my kid a regular name, especially after so many years of my name being constantly misspelled. (And I’m pretty sure if someone forced me to say his name aloud I would say it like chasin’)
Poor Thandiwe, but that dress is so undeserving of her greatness. It looks awful on her and I agree on her lip color choice as well. What is this “dress” supposed to look like as it is a complete fail every way you look at it.

Yes, many congratulations to Catriona Balfe and her husband as well!! She seems so into her pregnancy and how grateful they are to be in a part of the world that millions of other children are not. They are very compassionate about those children less fortunate. Good for them!!

Perhaps, by “solo” you mean she’s the only one who will be wearing it? From the example in the link this doesn’t look like anything a person can wear, let alone swim in.

I won’t shame anyone but I will be salty AF if my company rolls out an incentive for people who get vaccinated now. I mean I highly doubt they will but if they do, it better be retroactive because I’ve been fully vaxxed since May, when my age group opened up.
My stepsister has Covid because she “didn’t have time” to go get the vax. She can’t wait to feel better so she can go get it. She has had some major life changes recently so I truly believe she just forgot or wasn’t thinking about it but damn that’s a hard lesson for her to learn.
