Glad to see Scarlett receiving some support from somebody from the marvel universe

  2. Becks1 says:

The most recent episode of Ted Lasso was SO GOOD. So good! Why is every episode better than the last? I hope they are already filming season 3. Why do I love Roy Kent so much? WHO is Rebecca talking to on Bantr?? (is it who I think it is?!?!!?) WHY did I want Shelley to get that window table so bad? And why was the whole thing one big homage to romantic comedies??

I can’t even. everyone needs to watch this. It’s just the BEST.

    • BothSidesNow says:

I too loved this last episode!! I have an inkling as to who Rebecca is talking to, but I am not certain. I think this entire season has been fabulous!!!!
I love the entire cast and Rob Roy’s character is charming even though he growls at people and children!! They hopefully sign up for season 3 too!!

    • Keats says:

I just really don’t want it to be who I think it is bc I love the current dynamic and I hate chaaaange

      • Becks1 says:

That’s my concern too @Keats. If it’s who I think it is…I dont know how I feel! But I think it would be a really good season finale at least.

    • Merricat says:

My favorite thing about Roy Kent (besides the chant) is the way children are not fooled by his growl. They see through him immediately, and know him for the secret softie he is.

I like Elizabeth Olsen and I want this to be purely altruistic but there’s also the notion that she read the body of Scarlett’s suit and doesn’t want to get short changed by Disney+ for multiverse of madness.

Like there’s an email from Disney’s counsel pe-covid on the day D+ launched assuring ScarJo that they would make streaming arrangements in addition to the box office backend and then the go radio silent. Elizabeth is looking out for her coin too.

    • Rapunzel says:

Word. Olsen’s sisters are billionaires…she knows business.

      • Sarah says:

Agreed. That’s she’s both lending support AND looking out for herself business wise seems true; good for her. These sort of hybrid streaming/ theater release deals seem to be the future and contract precedent needs be set. Anyone involved in the Marvel universe is probably watching this play out VERY closely.

    • Jenn says:

I mean… of course it’s in her own self-interest, too? I’m kind of surprised and impressed by Olsen nevertheless. She’s always seemed like someone who keeps her head down and tries to not rock the boat — a little bit of a goody two-shoes — when more likely she just doesn’t have Johansson’s platform or clout to be loud about stuff. Of course she appreciates ScarJo for taking on the Mouse. Talking about salaries and contracts and self-advocating DOES still make you look like a liability (whether to studios or to workplaces in general), and it’s cool of Olsen to take on a bit of that burden. Besides, I probably wouldn’t be paying attention to this at all if Olsen hadn’t said “no, this is really important.”

So it really doesn’t bother me that Olsen is looking out for her own bottom line — this whole thing is about how the Disney/Marvel women are paid.

(And honestly, I feel like Olsen is really sticking her neck out, since Disney could retaliate by taking away any Wanda-in-the-works. ScarJo got her movie, you know? It seems like different stakes.)

Who is Rosie HW married to?

  6. FilmTurtle says:

A few years ago, I randomly ran into dishy Maxwell Caulfield at a Hollywood Fringe Festival play at 11 p.m. on a Friday night in a tiny dump of a theatre. He was there to support someone in the show; now that is a good friend. And those blue eyes still sparkled.
