“James Corden wore a rat costume as he blocked LA traffic” links

I’m generally pretty ambivalent about James Corden but this video of a rat-costumed Corden thrusting his hips in LA traffic was pretty wrong. [Dlisted]

I used to be pretty ambivalent when it came to Corden as well, but he just keeps getting worse and an even louder voice. He has the same essence as Ellen. Only nice to celebrities and hates the “normals.” Yuck.

L.A. drivers might need to keep loaded nerf ball launchers in reach of the driver’s seat.

That sad feeling when you don’t follow someone’s career and only know them from one show which you really enjoyed – In my case, Gavin and Stacey, a British comedy series. I really enjoyed that show! – Now he’s ruined it for me by continually being a giant wanker Thanks a lot, you tosser.

      • Coji says:

Same. He was a twit in Gavin and Stacey but I didn’t hate him or anything. Now I think he’s insufferable and not nearly as charming or witty as he thinks.

      • Ocho says:

He didn’t just act in Gavin and Stacey. He co-created and co-wrote it! For that alone, I will always be grateful. I mean, honestly, a frickin enjoyable work of genius, that show. Basically the gold standard and if you haven’t seen it, stop what you are doing (it’s not as important) and watch it. But… I don’t pay attention to his talk show and remember the weird old stories about him, so it doesn’t surprise me that he could be insufferable.

    • SomeChick says:

you can really see it in the video he did with Prince Harry at the obstacle course. he snaps at the man who is running the facility in a seriously mean tone of voice.

Why are Billy and Idina involved in this mess? I’ve never listened to Camilla’s music and have no desire too because I’ve never seen anything positive about her.

  3. Haylie says:

James Corden performs with known anti-black bigot Camila Cabello; for once, isn’t the biggest rat on set.

  4. ohrhilly says:

The video was cringeworthy. His dancing. Camila’s horrible singing. I felt bad for Billy and Indina. They don’t deserve that. I just don’t care for anything James Corden. If I see him, I’ll change the channel.

    • Juliette says:

Me neither, Can’t stand him. He’s very mildly talented but mostly annoying and comes off extremely arrogant. I really don’t even know and can’t figure out why he’s a thing. Car pool karaoke was ok but that was only digestible because of the guests he had on.

He can go away at any time.

    • Tiffany :) says:

It’s so embarrassing. Flash mobs peaked around 2009, so this seems very stale and a decade too late to be interesting.

    • lucy2 says:

Same here, I can’t deal with his level of earnestness, it comes off as desperation, and there’s a lot of chatter about him not being a nice person behind the scenes.
      Camila’s singing, good Lord! Ouch.
Idina and Billy should have made a run for it.

  5. Tiffany says:

I cannot believe the studio approved this crap going through his television show.

As if ai needed another reason not to watch that movie.

  6. MangoAngelesque says:

I liked James in his two episodes of Doctor Who.

And I liked when Tom Cruise made him jump out of an airplane, because LOL.

And that’s about all I can say about him that I like 🤷‍♀️

  7. Lightpurple says:

Laughing at Lainey’s description of Tom Hiddleston in the upcoming Essex Serpent: windswept, Victorian, and horny!

But he does look nice in that lovely blue sweater while walking the dog. And the guy photobombing behind him is hilarious

    • TigerMcQueen says:

His dog is gorgeous! Very elegant. I’ll admit, that’s the first thing I looked at…it took me years to learn our neighbors’ names in our old neighborhood, but I knew everyone’s dog right away lol.

      • fluffy_bunny says:

My whole neighborhood turned over during the pandemic. I don’t know anyone but I know all of their dogs. Someone keeps posting one of the dogs on Nextdoor asking if anyone knows who owns her because they think she’s lost when the owner just lets them roam. They always come home.

      • Lightpurple says:

I know all the dogs in my neighborhood

      • Traveler says:

        Same here! LOL

  8. Still_Sarah says:

Ed Asner also had a recurring role on the revamped Hawaii Five-O where he played a character that he had originally played on the first Hawaii Five-O with Jack Lord. He played a fence that dealt in smuggled goods – name was August March!

  9. Valerie says:

Craig Ferguson wouldn’t have done that.

    • Penguin says:

The Late Late Show was so funny with Craig Ferguson. It wasnt as flashy as the other late night shows and he always got the C-D list celebrities, but by God it was funny and lovely. Corden really messed it up good and proper.

    • E.D says:

      Oh I loved Craig Ferguson!
What happened to him – did he retire?

      • North of Boston says:

He’s hosting some game show. But I also wondered because it seemed like he kind of disappeared for a while after he left late night.

      • lucy2 says:

I loved Craig so much. His show was goofy and silly, but then he’d have really great conversations with people, and you could tell Craig is an intelligent, thoughtful person. The current host is…different.

I think Craig moved back to Scotland? He had a short series about him on tour on Amazon a while back.

  10. Siul says:

Can’t stand Corden. He’s annoying and NOT funny.

  11. Green Desert says:

I loved Nick at Night as an adolescent in the early-90’s. The Mary Tyler Moore show was one of my favorites to watch then. It was how I was introduced to Ed Asner. RIP, legend.

  12. jferber says:

Shout-out to the beloved Ed Asner. May you rest in peace.

  13. Ktae87 says:

Say a prayer for Tahoe celebitches. Hosting evacuated family, thousands of homes in the line of fire, burned small communities around us. My favorite campgrounds and hiking trails gone.

    • Tiffany :) says:

What’s happening in Tahoe is so devastating. It’s such a beautiful area. It’s heartbreaking.

Thank you for hosting an evacuated family. That’s incredibly kind and wonderful of you. Thanks for being the light in a bleak time.

  14. Ana170 says:

I think this is probably a version of Corden’s Crosswalk musical bit in which he gets celebrities to perform songs from their show during a red light. I don’t think they actually stop traffic as they get out of the way once the light changes. There have been interesting versions of this skit. (The one with Dan Stevens and Luke Evans had funny moments.). It clearly works better as seen from the actors’ side of things.

The pelvic thrusting is gross. I don’t know what he’s thinking there. I haven’t paid him any attention for a while so it may be that he’s getting full of himself for some reason.

  15. Marjorie K. Margel says:

He must be back on drugs!

  16. SusanRagain says:

I don’t know how this guy ever got hired in show biz. Complete no talent.

    • Fortuona says:

Yet he co-wrote and acted in Gavin and Stacey with Ruth Jones who was in Fat Friends with him ,has worked as an actor for 26 years ,had 2 shows that went from the West End to Broadway and he won a Tony for one .I knew him from League of Their Own a game show on UK tv featuring sports stars which he hosted for 14 seasons

  17. Ry says:

This nasty derp face. He’s an asshole. He was wearing the perfect costume.
I really hate how I’m becoming. But so tired of jerks.

  18. Eleonora says:

I don’t like it when people block traffic for any reason, including even protests for good causes, so this is… yeah.

You never know who is in a car feeling ill/visiting a dying person/afraid to be late for a job they need etc.

  19. Snazzy says:

Everyone here is (rightly) dragging Corden, but let’s also not forgot Camila Cabello and her terrible voice, racist tendencies and total lack of talent. I cannot stand her UGH
