Have you seen the photos of Angela Bassett meeting her wax figure at Madame Tussauds? I wasn’t sure who was who at first! It’s a testament to the artists and technology at Madame Tussauds, along with showing how incredible she looks. Angela presented the last award last night, for Limited or Anthology Series. That went to The Queen’s Gambit, which I didn’t watch beyond the first episode. I did not regret that decision after seeing the speeches from the director and showrunner.
Angela killed it in a black column dress by Greta Constantine with a bright pink ruffle snaking around it. It was like a giant question mark asking “who looks better than this? No one.” This look might have overwhelmed another actress, but not her. She owns this look. 911 is coming back tonight at 8! My mom is visiting and I’m going to get her to watch it with me. I watched a couple episodes with when I was at her place and after she binged all four season.
We have a lot of people to cover but I’m going to give Angela Bassett her own post because no one should have to follow her.

Very 80’s inspired. I love it and it looks fabulous on her.
She’s gorgeous and the dress does look great on her (hot pink is having a moment), but I don’t like the ruffle. It looks like someone bunched up a bed skirt and stapled it to the dress. But again, I weirdly really like the dress on her, so I suspect that’s about Ms. Bassett.
She is magnificent – that’s all.

I’ve only seen Angela on American Horror Story, she was phenomenal (in my opinion she outshined the other “muses” as people call Murphy’s go to actresses. She should’ve got her own season!)

Anyone here remember “Squirmls” from the 70’s? I love Angela, think she is one of the most beautiful women, but that dress looks like it has a giant Squirml on it.
