Duchess Kate will deliver a ‘keynote speech’ at the Forward Trust next week

Duchess of Cambridge

Back in June of this year, the Duchess of Cambridge was given two new jobs in absentia, which is truly the only way to get Kate to “work” as a royal patroness: just announce that she’s the new Patroness of Early Buttons On Addiction in a press release, and bam! That counts as an event for Kate. In June, Kate was announced as the new patron of The Forward Trust, but there was a catch! The Forward Trust absorbed Action on Addiction, one of Kate’s old patronages, so The Forward Trust basically just inherited Madame Buttons as their royal patron. One week later, William suddenly announced another new gig for Kate: she would sponsor a battleship. She was not there for the announcement.

In case you forgot about The Forward Trust thing, don’t worry, everyone else did too because in the months that followed, Kate did absolutely nothing with her new patronage. Then on Tuesday, just a few hours after the NY Times’ exclusive about the Sussexes’ Ethic investment, suddenly Kate was keen to announce an event!

The Duchess of Cambridge will be joined by TV duo Ant and Dec, as she delivers a keynote speech for one of her long-standing patronages next week. Kate will speak at an event hosted by the Forward Trust on Tuesday 19 October to launch the charity’s Taking Action on Addiction campaign.

Led by the Forward Trust alongside a number of charity partners, Taking Action on Addiction is a long-term campaign, which will work to improve awareness and understanding of addiction, its causes and scale in society to enable more people to ask for and receive help.

At Tuesday’s event, Kate will meet beneficiaries of the charity as well as a number of supporters with lived experience of addiction and hear their stories. The Duchess will also deliver a keynote address which will highlight the importance of tackling misinformation and misunderstanding surrounding addiction and its roots in early childhood experiences. The meeting will be compered by TV presenters Ant and Dec.

The launch of the campaign coincides with Addiction Awareness Week, running from 18 to 24 October, which aims to provide a platform to highlight the challenges of addiction, to engage with people and families affected, and to raise public awareness.

[From Hello]

I’ll be fair to Kate: I would guess that this appearance was in the works for weeks, if not months, and that Kensington Palace was going to announce it this week anyway. That being said, it’s funny that Kate felt the need to “one up” the Montecito royals who live rent-free in her head. Now we get to prepare for another one of Kate’s speeches. I wonder if they’ll even allow any videos to go out? I hope the Forward Trust enjoys this one appearance by Kate, because that’s all they’re getting until next year’s Addiction Awareness Week.

PS… The last time she actually physically attended an event for Action on Addiction was June 2019. She went to a “gala dinner” and made a speech. Those are the photos in this post.

    Those BROWS….

Her brows are more interesting to me at this point

    • Wiglet Watcher says:

And her dress… there’s a zipper front and center… is her dress on backwards?

      • MsIam says:

That’s the impression I go too. Like the backwards blouse fiasco.

      • Merricat says:

Wearing a dress backwards is Kate’s idea of “fashion forward.”

      • February-Pisces says:

It’s an invisible zip as well so it’s not meant to be seen, so it’s definitely the back of the dress.

      • BeanieBean says:

F-P: nope, it’s just a cheap dress, viscose-poly blend fabric, cheap white zipper that doesn’t match the fabric quite right (looked it up on WhatKateWore).

      • Myjobistoprincess says:

William isnt actually there to help her dress up, that is why all the things to be zipped or buttoned in the back are worn in the front. lol

    • Drea says:

For me it’s not just the brows, but also the way the Botox is settling between them.

    • Agreatreckoning says:

The brows definitely seem to have a life of their own.

    • PinkestSlip says:

You mean her botoxed-to-attention eyebrows? Yeah…those….

  2. Scorpion says:

I hope they provide subtitles and British Sign Language for the audience because it is the only way they are going to understand this ghostwritten, canned keynote ‘speech’.

    • nina says:

      LOOOOOL

    • Rice says:

HA! Also, you just know that she got her “posh” accent from watching The Crown.

    • PinkestSlip says:

People keep writing that she’s been doing this “for ten years,” and should know how to speak in public. Flippin’ ‘eck, “ten years”??? She WAITED FOR ELEVEN!!! Didn’t work, didn’t do a thing, has no work ethic, no clue, nothing…think she coulda spent a few of those weeks trying to learn????

  3. Becks1 says:

I bet the speech is going to be all about how perfect childhoods like hers mean you don’t have addiction issues later in life.

But hey, at least she’s making an appearance for one of her patronages!

    • Belli says:

DING DING DING, we have a winner!

“The Duchess will also deliver a keynote address which will highlight the importance of tackling misinformation and misunderstanding surrounding addiction and its roots in early childhood experiences.”

To her PR team’s credit, they seem to be making a real effort to push this idea that Kate really is interested in early childhood development. Consistency is key, say it enough and people might start to believe it no matter what she actually says or does.

      • Agreatreckoning says:

A keynote speaker needs to be compelling to keep people interested in sticking around for the event. It’s hard to find this in Kate. I hope she’s not charging a fee for this. Anthony Hopkins is a patron of the Forward Trust and has been sober for over 45 years. He has experience and would be more interesting to listen to. If Kate can channel the addiction she and Ma Midds had/have to being part of the royal family-she might be able to speak from experience. An interpreter might be needed as others mentioned. It does have the feel of being thrown together to compete with a couple who are good at speaking at engagements.

    • Lorelei says:

@Becks I will forever be astounded that neither she nor anyone on her team (is there not one brain cell among them??) realizes how totally insane it is for her to keep spreading this “happy childhood = perfect mental health in adulthood,” nonsense when James Middleton has been speaking openly about his struggle with depression for a couple of years now. James had the same exact childhood that Kate did. How does she not see the contradiction here? How?? 😫

Even years before James spoke out about his own issues, many of us here were appalled that she was spreading that message when it is completely untrue and problematic for tons of reasons we’ve already discussed. She is so out of her depth, and it’s dangerous for her to be putting misinformation out there every time she speaks. One would think that after *her own brother* went public with his own mental health struggles, she might gain a clue that this premise of hers is false — but no, she’s continued to repeat this classist bullsh!t over and over again.

I wish an audience member at one of the events she speaks at would ask her how she reconciles her theory with her brother’s issues. Because I would genuinely like to hear the answer.

      • PinkestSlip says:

@Lorelei: So true!! James is peddling a recovery-from-depression-caused-by-childhood schtick, while idiot sister is peddling how healthy she is. What a JOKE.

  4. Lexistential says:

Will her speech have subtitles? That’s all I’ve got.

  5. lanne says:

Why won’t she take some speech classes? She can’t say 2 words without looking down. It makes her look ill-prepared–like a student who didn’t do the assigned reading and is winging a presentation. Actually, my unprepared students fake it better than she does

    • Roo says:

She’s had more than ten years to get it right. She simply doesn’t care enough to put in any effort.

      • LahdidahBaby says:

…or, she simply can’t. Isn’t capable of that.

      • PinkestSlip says:

Please…it’s because she’s as dumb as a rock. Jeez, just look at her absolute lack of work history and ethic, and Waity Katy years, waiting for William to calm down enough to consider her a wife. Sheesh…what a mess!!

    • nina says:

Because she’s concentrating too hard on getting her aristo accent right

      • BothSidesNow says:

@ nina, that’s it!! She has trouble concentrating on her fake posh accent, in addition to being an awful speaker!!! KKWeen doesn’t care about doing anything meaningful.

And If she truly wanted to improve her public speaking, why she hasn’t taken the opportunity to do so boggles my mind!! Even Diana took lessons, but I guess Kate thinks she is above that. Another speech another set of inaudible words….

    • Mrs.Krabapple says:

I suspect she gets berated by William or her handlers if she gets any words wrong. When left on her own, she says things like, “Can you, um, test the, um, smell of the tea by, um, smelling it?” So I’m guessing she is constantly told ,”Do not deviate from the script. DO NOT DEVIATE FROM THE SCRIPT!” It could help explain why she is so nervous after all this time, and particularly so when William is around.

  6. Sandy says:

I’m only interested if there are useless piecharts and a pen prop. And sharpie eyebrows. That is the bare minimum, I tell you!

  7. She looks so uncomfortable in those pictures. You’ve been doing this job for a decade- how is this still so unnatural for you?! My best guess is that she just does not give a damn and can’t wait to just go home and get more Botox.

    • LaraK says:

She has no real platform, so she is always in an uncomfortable situation.

Meghan is an actress, yes, but she also has core issues (empowering women). on which she has credibility. Harry too has core issues (veterans, conservation). So when they speak, they speak from a place of authority and familiarity.

Kate has nothing she stands for, so how could she look comfortable?

  8. Harper says:

Kate’s speeches are the best. I never laugh harder than when I’m watching one. Can’t wait.

  9. Elvie says:

With these announcements, I always get the feeling that Kate’s private secretary is sitting on a stack of unanswered invitations and when the Sussexes announce something they go to the stack of invites, RSVP to the event, and then announce her attendance. There is no forward-thinking, no planning, just reactions to the Sussexes.

  10. Southern Fried says:

That could have been a great dress but for length. Her speech will be so feeble it’ll insult everyone there.

    • Becks1 says:

I don’t mind the length (I like that length in general) but I think she needed different shoes than those sparkly ones. She has worn the dress another time with strappy maroon/purple heels and I feel like it looked better.

    • Crowned Huntress says:

Thank you for saying that. I was quite impressed with the off the shoulder style and simple stripe design and then wondered in frustration why it didn’t end right below her knees!

Ugh, I can’t stand that she’s constantly so close to a great look and it’s ruined by buttons or length.

  11. The Duchess says:

I don’t know why they’ve announced it in advance like it’s some huge monumental achievement. Just do your inaudible speech and move on with your irrelevant self.

    • dido says:

Because announcements are the only way the Keens can get enough content to keep them in the news throughout the year. They’re all talk, no action. Remember the week of announcements of that a BIG announcement coming, re: “Early Years” centre (whenever that’s happening…) And then a cheap instagram video of a printer printing an 8 x 11 “Big Change, Starts Small” title page with the caption “Coming this week.” Same with William and the typewriter. It never ends: Announcing they’d hire a diversity tsar, announcing he’d work in helicopters during early COVID days–and of course, both went nowhere. Announcements are all they’ve got to look busy.

      • Becks1 says:

exactly. They have to announce every little thing so that it drags out the news cycle a little bit. Kate isn’t giving this speech until next week but we’re talking about it, right? They do this consistently and it gives the RRs enough to talk about to make people think they’re working constantly, but they’re not.

      • Nic919 says:

They also make sure to state that she’s been “working” on the issue of drug addiction for a decade. If it wasn’t for these announcements telling us what she has supposedly done, no one would know because her sporadic attendances don’t suggest she actually cares about anything.

She’s only ever been consistent with going to Wimbledon. Nothing else.

      • Merricat says:

Yes, it’s like beating air into egg whites to make a fluffy meringue.

  12. TabithaD says:

I get the impression that W+K have been told in no uncertain terms that they need to step up. I think that’s why we’re suddenly seeing all these “prestigious projects” and “roundtables” and “speeches”. I mean, it’s all hot air and empty announcements, and nothing is actually happening, and their impact is just as feeble as it was before, but they seem to be desperate to give the illusion that they’re doing important work.
    I think we know why.
My prediction: this “keynote” will be short, mumbly, full of buzzwords but signifying nothing, and there will probably be a lot of hand flapping.

    • ABritGuest says:

They are following Harry & Meghan. I don’t think we saw William & Kate doing editorials or round tables with experts before things like Harry’s Fast Company piece or their Time Talk with people like Nobel prize winner Maria Ressa. Their recent post for world mental health day was pretty much copy & paste from a 2019 Sussex royal post.

I remember after Meghan did a few speeches during the Oceana tour, the royal rota said that Kate would have to do more speeches. It was not just Harry who was forced to up his game when Meghan came on the scene.

Good luck to Kate as think she finds it nerve wracking to do speeches but hopefully the more she does it the more comfortable she will become.

      • MaryContrary says:

She has had ten years to get comfortable making speeches. As someone who is shy and loathes public speaking, the moment that standing up in front of people to present became a key component of my job-I PRACTICED and improved. Why is she still treated like she’s a child who’s scared of something and excused? It’s ridiculous and frankly, if my tax dollars were going to her upkeep, I’d be livid.

      • Amy Too says:

About the copying Harry and Meghan: does anyone want to bet that the phrase “my husband and I,” will be included in the speech?

      • BothSidesNow says:

@ MaryContrary, oh my gosh, I love your name!! I agree with you wholeheartedly!! If my tax dollars were supporting these 2 lazy leeches, I would be storming in the streets!! Including anywhere that awful, gas guzzling helicopter lands as well!! You are spot on!!

@ Tabitha D, that’s an interesting take you have! I would not be surprised if you are right!!
I also think that the impactful programs and the wonderful non profits that Harry and Meghan have been involved in since they left Salty Island of Petty and Anger, have also driven W&K into working more, but not better! There is a massive difference!!! Kween may be working more, but not smarter or more aggressive to seeing results. Just an opportunity to give a meek speech and move on, until next year or never again!

      • Christine says:

I refuse to accept “isn’t comfortable with public speaking”, this many decades into Kate wanting exactly this life. It is the job, she knew it, she still wanted it, now she needs to perform her actual job,

      • Lorelei says:

@Christine it is so obvious that she saw the wedding as her endgame, and didn’t give one thought about what would come afterward. Which is amazing to me, because we *know* she’s spent a significant amount of time studying photos of Diana, but did she ever look to see where Diana was going? Diana was going to engagements where she often made speeches!

I really think she looked at the photos for fashion inspiration and it went right over her head that the reason there were so many photos of Diana is because she worked a lot!!

  13. MellyMel says:

Her eyebrows in these pics make her look very harsh and villainess.

  14. Cathy says:

Another new dress and a “one note” address.

Ho hum, it’s tough being a Top CEO… and future Queen

  15. Kfg says:

Former addicts hate insincerity, especially from people claiming to be patrons or advocates. This will go as well as the round table photo shoot. I really think willy and chuck are setting her up to take a massive fall.

  16. Wiglet Watcher says:

Amazing how the BM and KP keep trying to prop up this woman child. It’s looking worse each time M steps out and as M becomes more active and visible Kate just looks desperate and tired.

  17. Lorelei says:

PLEASE, someone leak video of her “keynote speech” 🙏🏻

Also, I wonder if Renee Zellweger will be there, lol.

    • TabithaD says:

Perhaps they could put it up on their YouTube channel which they made such a fuss about. It’s a bit short on content.

      • BothSidesNow says:

@ Tabitha D, have you looked at their YouTube? I haven’t.

Wait!!! They have 13 videos!! That’s IT!!! How comical!! There is only one video of them speaking to their audience, otherwise it’s a bunch of clips from previous royal events. How awful…..

      • nina says:

Only 13 videos? I thought their channel was hailed as the thing that was going to break the internet? Greater than H&M’s NetFlix deal. (BAWHAHAHA. Can’t type that without laughing)
Oh well, I guess its back to the drawing board for their staff.

  18. Digital Unicorn says:

This will the usual cut and paste job where she criticises working parents and poorer families. See other speeches she has given on the subject.

  19. Layla says:

The head tilt she always does I guess in her mind she’s trying to look intelligent or interested but she does it so constantly it just looks off. It’s a wonder her head hasn’t snapped off already

  20. MY3CENTS says:

    Keenote speech you mean?
It’s a bit embarrassing but after all these years my mind just auto corrected as I was reading this.

  21. MsIam says:

Maybe she’ll wear the gold dress again and people will be so distracted (blinded) they won’t even notice her speech.

  22. Amy Bee says:

Misinformation about drug addiction includes the belief that drug addicts should be incarcerated. Will Kate talk about this or is this issue too political?

    • PinkestSlip says:

@AmyBee: not “political,” darling, just AMERICAN. Noooo, she won’t touch that. Meghan can and will, but not Keeny…she’s the Klu(less)KlunkKlan Keen Head

  23. Laura says:

Why did she look so angry at that 2019 event?

    • Maria says:

I think she thinks it’s her moody-sexy-Victoria’s Secret face.

    • Nic919 says:

The botox was put in the wrong places and hadn’t properly settled.

    • PinkestSlip says:

@Nic, you’re right, but there’s the added discomfort and strain of her face trying to twist itself into an “I look intelligent/interested/KEEN!!” expression that she can’t do at the best of times, let alone with a clump of Botox siezing up her already-siezed-up face and its bottomless pit of non-expression

  24. Basi says:

Does anyone get the impression this is a setup to fail by William (or Charles).

    • Kfg says:

My thoughts exactly! Will wants her gone and the only way to do that is by making people hate her. She’ll go here and say some effed up things about addiction and how the poors should do better during the airly yares to stop addictions. That and the browns and blacks need to stop having kids. I’m really looking forward to this.

    • Lizzie says:

Could be but I think the courtiers are telling them that H&M are out shining them and if the monarchy implodes it’s on the senior royals. The courtiers will protect themselves at the end of the day.

    • PinkestSlip says:

@Basi, I love the skullduggery of this background agenda 🙂 And of course she’s too stupid to realise that every shove they give her into the limelight isn’t for a good reason, but just an effort to stockpile her offenses and uselessness against her. You watch when they divorce: they’ll trot out a list of her inaction and her screw-ups during those rare times she was active.

  25. Noki says:

They are actually some people who are terribly scared of public speaking. I remember my uni days during group presentations some would even skip it with a lame excuse. Its terrifying doesnt matter how confident one apears to be,if its not in you. Especially when you know you have people who will critique you,the anxiety is times a hundred.

    • Dee says:

If only Kate had access to people who could help her be a better speaker and reduce that anxiety (sarcasm). The way to get over the nerves is to plunge in and do more public speaking. Know your subject, prepare, rehearse and get feedback. Kate won’t put in the work. Public speaking is part of the job. She needs to get better at it.

    • Nic919 says:

Kate was able to be the lead in My Fair Lady prior to university so it’s not like she has always been bad at speaking or performing in public. The big issue is her fake posh accent that impedes how she speaks and her lack of preparing for anything.

      • kelleybelle says:

The botox around the mouth makes it awkward too as it’s partially frozen. I had trouble understanding her when she welcomed Dr. Biden.

      • Jay says:

She actually played Eliza Doolittle??? I always assumed the “duchess Doolittle” nickname was a comment on her work ethic, but maybe it’s an injoke amongst the family to mock her attempts at posh elocution.

      • PinkestSlip says:

@Nic, THANK YOU. Finally someone gets it: she was up front and centre as much as she could be when it suited her, but that ridiculous Turnip Toff ring-in of an accent impedes her so much. And so it should: it’s more fake than her botox.

    • booboocita says:

Eleanor Roosevelt was painfully shy and awkward, plain and unfashionable. By the time she became First Lady, she was a practiced and competent public speaker, openly acknowledged by her husband (FDR) and his advisors as the president’s best weapon. And at the time of her passing, she was a globally famous and revered speaker. But Eleanor knew what duty was, and was honor-bound to do her duty. More importantly, she wanted to help — to make a difference in the lives of others. As for Kate, wellllll … It’s going to take a lot more than elocution and ghost-speechwriting to help that woman come across as something other than stiff and disengaged.

    • goofpuff says:

She’s had more than 10 years and plenty of resources that most people don’t have to get to be at least decent at it. This is part of her job taxpayers pay for and she is an adult. You learn how to do it or you get a new job. She is an 40 year old woman – she does not get a pass to be infantile.

    • Mimi says:

This is the job she signed up for; the time for excuses is long over.

    • Chrissy says:

As I recall Kate’s late MIL, who was known to be shy and sheltered, realized on her engagement to to the heir to the British throne, that as the future Princess of Wales she had to overcome her shyness and improve her public speaking. Diana came to this realization at 19 YEARS OLD. Kate, with her history of flashing the world, wearing see-through dresses to attract attention as well as Willnot, is not a shy and sheltered babe in the woods. She is lazy as heck, scared of failing and most of all, petrified that her public-speaking will now continue to show the world (especially her husband) that she is really unfit for her role in the BRF. She knows that her lack of progress in public-speaking could lead to even more problems with William, and if it contributes to her being dumped, she will be responsible for Caroles’s aristocratic dreams going up in flames. Also, with the incomparable Meghan being a confident and accomplished public speaker and advocate for change and Kate thinking she’s superior the Meg, Kate has put herself between a rock and a hard place. She knows she’s out of her depth and the chickens are now coming home to roost!

    • TabithaD says:

The woman’s 40 in a couple of months. All she has to do is read a short statement which someone else will have written for her. She won’t have to do her own research, or even think much at all (it’s obviously not her strong point). This really shouldn’t be beyond her capabilities.

    • Izzy says:

She was able to play a role in a play and parade around a runway in lingerie when she was younger. Public speaking is literally part of the job she signed up for; if she wasn’t prepared to buckle down and do it, she shouldn’t have chased the ring.

    • Thirtynine says:

Sure some people are afraid of public speaking. But Kate just has to copy her mother in law- visibly nervous, just out of her teens, doing her best, even attempting to speak in the hosts’ language. She didn’t let fear hold her back from doing what needed to be done, and neither should Kate. She kept at it, got help, practiced and prepared. It can be done.

  26. Seaflower says:

I just realised K is starting to look more and more like Peta Credlin who was Tony Abbott’s chief of staff. For the non Aussies, PC is not a supporter of other women either.

  27. rawiya says:

She can’t speak. It’s been 10 years. We’ve moved past all the excuses. She doesn’t practice and it shows. Let’s not make people suffer by having to try to decipher what she’s mumbling about. Let her show up in a pretty dress, smile, clap, and leave. That’s all she’s good for. (And yes that sounds mean, but a decade in without any improvement? Come on.)

  28. WithTheAmerican says:

Gosh it makes me sad when I see how thin she is, compared to her younger weight. Somethings very broken in that family.

  29. Merricat says:

She can barely form a coherent sentence. I can’t imagine listening to that voice for an entire speech.

    • Noki says:

I wonder why William never told her to knock it off with the fake accent when she started it. Her sister Pipa speaks just fine, its not like they have (no offence) a mancunian or scouse accent.

      • nina says:

Because he’s an idiot and didn’t care. Because they were going to live a life of leisure as idle rich until Meghan came along and showed them all up. By then the dye was cast and this is the result.

      • Lady D says:

        Is mancunian Manchester?

      • The Hench says:

Yes, Lady D. Mancunian = Manchester and Scouse = Liverpool.

      • Lady D says:

Thanks @The Hench. Is it me, or is ‘scouse’ an insult? It makes me think of scuzzy or scummy. It just doesn’t come off as complimentary.

      • TabithaD says:

Liverpudlians do use “scouser” of themselves, so I assume it’s not regarded as insulting. The opposite, if anything. I think it derives from “lobscouse” which is a type of meat stew associated with Liverpool.

  30. MerryGirl says:

Good evening (look down at notes) mumble, mumble, mumble…ak-shunna-dishon (look down at notes) mumble, mumble, mumble.

  31. Eurydice says:

Well, that’s what happens when you don’t attend the meetings – you get volunteered for the stuff nobody else wants to do.

She’s the patron, she has to do it, and the media has to report it. It should be ok – Ant and Dec have just won their 198th award for TV hosting and they know how to keep an evening moving along.

    • SarahCS says:

There’s the video on youtube of Ant and Dec watching Susan Boyle’s Britain’s Got Talent audition from backstage and I would pay good money for a genuine reaction video of them watching this. Hey, the revenue could go to the charity, there’s a novel idea – actually do something tangible.

      • Eurydice says:

I love that video – I could watch it forever. And yes, a video of them watching Kate from the sidelines, like she’s a contestant on BGT – priceless.

      • Christine says:

That video makes me cry every time, it’s SO GOOD.

  32. Myjobistoprincess says:

William isnt actually there to help her dress up, that is why all the things to be zipped or buttoned in the back are worn in the front. lol

Omg is it on backwards. I like the off-the-shoulder look… So close yet so far.

I don’t know that anyone expects much from her. It’s gotta hurt that people just smile and clap politely when she says anything. She has to realize that she’s basically just an ornament.

  34. Fanciful says:

But SHOULDERS! I thought off the shoulder was against protocol, offensive to the queen and made you look like a hooker? Or is that only when Meghan wore slight OTS (not like this).

    This comment:

” it’s funny that Kate felt the need to “one up” the Montecito royals who live rent-free in her head. ”

If this was planned for weeks, how is it a “one up”; I am in America so without even trying I’ve seen several headlines about Harry and Meghan’s new investment venture and nothing on Kate because again I’m in America and this agenda for Kate is a local event.

Question for anyone in England: is this headline news???

You can’t compete or try to compete when you’re not in the same arena.

    That dress looks so uncomfortable!

That first pic is eyelid lift gone wild. Doesn’t she usually get better work done than that?

Mumble, mumble, umm, mumble. Mumble, mumble, mumble is so important to the early years of children. Thank you.

My eyebrows are very light, always have been. light enough that they barely show up in pictures, I don’t even bother doing much with them. When I was about 16 I decided I wanted eyebrows like everyone else (this is 20+ years ago lol) so with what I thought was a steady hand and a brown chubby eyeliner…I drew them in myself. Her eyebrows are pretty much identical to my hilariously amateurly attempt in my youth.

I will say this, Kate should have her videographer do close ups on her face and avoid filming her hands while she speaks. That might help. Now if only she could actually say something intelligible.

There are plenty of people in the UK who deal with anxiety and teach public speaking! She can afford the best and doesn’t have to improvise. The UK aid full of angry people at the moment. Any reference to ‘Early Years’ and the fault of parents will be a match to paper. Aside from that I’ve never heard her parents speak. I know a Public School will ‘polish off rough edges’ if enough money is coughed up so her accent should be RP. Her ‘home’ accent is probably that of her mother. My poor mother has dementia, was a career woman and spoke very nicely. As the dementia progressed I’ve been startled to hear Mum speak like a local! Kate’s accent is clearly a veneer. Sorry to go off topic but Kate is just a lot of veneers stuck together.
