The full ‘Bridgerton’ season 2 trailer is here and yes, it’s brooding and hot

I saved the Bridgerton Season 2 full trailer as a lil’ treat for myself after I finished all of my “serious” work this morning. That’s what Bridgerton is for me – a fun, sexy treat. Nothing serious, just pure indulgence. I feel similarly about The Gilded Age too, which is absolutely a worthy “replacement” for Downton Abbey. It feels like there’s a genuine trend of high-production soap operas these days and I’m all for it.

So, in Bridgerton Season 2, the main story is Jonathan Bailey’s Lord Anthony Bridgerton and his quest to find his equal partner. The photos Netflix released are VERY Jane Austen, heavy on Sense and Sensibility and Pride and Prejudice. Anthony even climbs out of a lake in a wet white shirt, just like Darcy. There’s a plotline with sisters – Kate and Edwina Sharma – too which is very Jane Austen. Also: a dash of Taming the Shrew?

Fun! A love triangle. A brooding rake. An older sister who is a wise and hot Regency feminist. A younger sister who is simply in love. Broken hearts, sighing, heaving bosoms, corsets. Sign me up. I love it. This one is for the Desi girls!

*swoon* I CANNOT WAIT! Based on the best book in the series, and knowing how exceptional the first season was, my expectations are really high for this season!

I definitely think this is the best book in the series.

YES!!! The Viscount Who Loved Me is the best book in the series. I recently reread it to prepare for season 2, and it was just so delightful!

Yes, this is one of my favorites of the series and I was already impressed by what they did with The Duke and I, which is my least favorite. Squeeeee!

THIS LOOKS SO GOOD!!! I’m excited to see what they are going to do with the Anthony-Kate storyline obviously but also what they do with all the other secondary storylines they set up in season 1.

I feel like Bridgerton in 2020 came onto the scene at the perfect time….we had all had a horrible year, 2020 was finally ending, and bam! hot regency romance, thank you very much. I feel the same about this one….2 years after the US shutdowns started, we are worn out and tired and confused and not sure what we are supposed to be doing to stay safe and keep our friends and families safe (masks? social distancing? concerts? movies? eating indoors? how crowded is too crowded? do I need to show my vaccine card? Another variant? What about the under-5 year olds??) And now bam! more bridgerton. More hot regency romance. I am HERE.FOR.IT.

I’m so excited. I just finished Anthony’s and Benedict’s books (halfway through Colin’s) and so far, I like Anthony’s story the best.

My favorite book of the series too! I hope they don’t change too much, but since season 1 introduced me to the books, I probably don’t need to worry about the adaptation being good on its own

I needed this today! Thanks for posting.
