Kanye certainly transformed her look, but now Kim is making it her own, with an endless parade of black, grey and beige monochrome outfits to match her monochrome house. Well, guess who’s sick of it? North West, that’s who.

Kim Kardashian’s eldest daughter North West doesn’t hold back when it comes to sharing her fashion opinions. Kardashian, 41, opened up about North’s critiques at Vogue’s Forces of Fashion conference Tuesday, sharing that the 8-year-old isn’t always impressed with what her mom is wearing — especially if Kardashian doesn’t incorporate enough color.

“North is very opinionated when it comes to what I’m wearing,” Kardashian said. “She’ll always complain when I’m wearing too much black… I showed up at her school on Valentine’s Day wearing head-to-toe pink, and she got so excited she ran over and hugged me. [Of course] she opened my coat, saw the black lining, and says, ‘Mom, you’re still wearing black.’ “

It was the opposite for me and my mom. My mom was a teacher, so she dressed like… Jill Biden, basically. Teacher-mom clothes, shirts with images of animals, shoes with cats cartoons, and everything colorful. Meanwhile, I started wearing all-black when I was like 13 years old? I spent most of my teenage years looking like I was always wearing a witch costume for Halloween. Basically, daughters want to do the opposite of whatever their mothers do. North will probably always want lots of color in her life, lots of pink, red, green. That way she’ll “rebel” against both of her parents.
