Kate Hudson almost broke up with her fiance when they got lost on a hike

Kate Hudson and musician Danny Fujikawa have been together for ˜six years. They got engaged last year and they have a three-year-old daughter together. They recently went on a hike together and it was almost a relationship-ender. Apparently they got lost and were out there for a whole day, rationing water and all. Who among us wouldn’t have a big fight with our partner in that scenario? Kate says she was ready to toss her ring in in the water, but luckily they made it back intact.

Kate Hudson says she “almost threw my ring into the water” when things got heated during a hike with her fiancé, Danny Fujikawa.

In a new Instagram post, the actress — who shares daughter Rani, 3, with Fujikawa — revealed that the couple had gotten lost during their hike, prompting them to butt heads.

“Ever been on a hike where you got lost, lasted an entire day in the scorching heat, rationing water and almost ended a relationship? We have,” the Truth Be Told star, 43, captioned her video, which was shot by Fujikawa.

Wearing a white string bikini featuring a bird print, Hudson laughed about how frustrated the couple got during their scary ordeal.

“Honey, the fight was on another level,” the seemingly recovered star says as she shakes the sand out of her red cover-up. “We got lost. We had no idea where we were. We like … scaled rocks. I almost threw my ring into the water and said ‘we’re over!’

“And now we’re back,” Hudson added, smiling as she walked into the sea.

I love hiking and have hiked down a burning mountain in South Africa, but I’ve never gotten lost. And getting lost seems singularly scary — I’d rather try to outrun a fire than get lost. Getting lost is preventable, can almost always be blamed on someone, and there’s plenty of time to fight about it because you don’t know where you are. I use AllTrails to navigate, but mistakes still happen. It seems like this happened to Kate and Danny in California, which I’ve heard is currently experiencing a heatwave, so that must have been rough. Glad they made it back.

Funnily enough, their first date involved a hike. Kate loves her musicians, but I didn’t realize she and Danny had known each other for 15 years before getting together. They were introduced by his stepsisters, Sara and Erin Foster, when Kate was pregnant and married to Chris Robinson. It’s sweet that they were friends for so long and eventually got together. That sounds like a solid foundation for a relationship. I wonder when the wedding is happening and also can’t wait to see the Knives Out sequel in December.

Oh I believe it. Once my partner tried to teach me how to ski and it ended up in a battle where I threw my skis at him and walked down the hill … any kind of sport in a relationship is not for the faint of heart!

In France, many hikes are are marked with tags, we call them “balises”, so you can’t easily get lost. Getting lost like Kate Hudson and her partner is definitely one my fears.

My SO and I built a chicken coop a couple years ago that almost ended with one of us being buried under it. I mean, you have the kids talk, you open a joint checking, you buy a house, you make it through a cancer diagnoses and treatment … turns out none of those things are the REAL test 😂🤣

Wallpaper. Wallpapering a room together almost ended my marriage; I get where she’s coming from.

Getting lost is scary but at least they had eachother because it’s better than being lost and alone! I have a feeling they are just engaged to be engaged and won’t get married. They have the best role models in Goldie and Kurt.

Was in a group backpacking into the CO mtns and half the group got lost. Luckily they stayed along a creek which helped them to keep track of where they were and could follow it back down to the trailhead. Many trails are marked but more backcountry ones are difficult to find. This one had the path cross the creek, the other group missed the crossing. It happens!

We weren’t lost, per se, but my husband and I did an out-and-back hike once that was longer than we anticipated on a day that was hotter than we anticipated, and I’ve never been so sure that I was about to die in the woods. When we finally found the parking lot, there was thankfully a hose by it and I completely hosed myself down before we got in the car and cranked the a/c. It sounds like a joke, but it was scary.

Referring to the bikini photo; she’s had 3 kids. By her own account she gained lots of baby weight, lost it, gained it etc. No cellulite on that butt or thighs. How is that possible? Ordinary people don’t have skin like this.

Is it me or do all her significant others (especially the fathers of her kids) look alike?

@Peridot, I’m glad you made it down the burning mountain okay! I’ve been in a car where we had to turn around and find another route due to forest fires and i thought that was scary!
Anytime I’ve taken a wrong turn with an SO, it’s helped my relationships. However, wallpapering (I like to match up patterns so you don’t see the separate swathes on the wall) and drilling holes (oops, but we can fix it) for pictures, light fixtures and the like has been far more stressful for us…
