Ghislaine Maxwell gave an “interview” to the Mail on Sunday – the interview was through her lawyers, as in the MoS submitted questions to Maxwell’s lawyers, she answered and the lawyers provided her statements to the Mail. During her trial and as she served her sentence, Maxwell hasn’t “named names.” She’s not revealing who received the trafficked girls and women provided by herself and Jeffrey Epstein. She was the one who ran the trafficking operation, so she would know. The feds obviously believed that at some point, Maxwell would try to cut a deal. She hasn’t. I guess she thinks/knows it would be too dangerous. All of which means that in this interview, she only names three people: Prince Andrew, Bill Clinton and Donald Trump, and she doesn’t say anything about any criminal activity. Some highlights:
On Prince Andrew: ‘I feel so bad for him. Yes, I follow what is happening to him. He is paying such a price for the association [with Jeffrey Epstein]. I consider him a dear friend… I care about him.’ Quizzed on the denial by Andrew’s lawyers that they were close friends, Maxwell said: ‘I accept that this friendship could not survive my conviction.’
On the March 2001 photo of herself, Prince Andrew & Virginia Giuffre: ‘I don’t recognise that picture and I don’t believe it is a real picture. There’s so many things wrong with it. There is no original and there isn’t a true picture and there are that many other things besides that I cannot hardly get into… I don’t know how many points there are, but there are over 50 problems with the picture.’
Whether she & Andrew ever dated: ‘I have read and seen and heard and had reported to me so many monstrous inaccuracies that I can’t start to pick apart all of them. If I pick apart one and then don’t address all the others, it’s going to say, ‘Well, she said no to this, what about all those others?’ I’m not going to discuss anything of that nature until after the appeal.’
On Bill Clinton: ‘It was a special friendship, which continued over the years. We had lots in common. I feel bad that he is another victim, only because of his association [with Epstein].’
On Donald Trump: ‘I was very grateful when he wished me well. He got bad media for it, but he dared while others didn’t. It gave me a big boost.’
So her take is that the photo of herself, Andrew and Virginia is fake? It’s not like Virginia had it in her possession this whole time – it was part of the FBI files, which were buried for years. Virginia had to fight to get access to the photo. As for Clinton and Trump… gross. It feels like Ghislaine has information on Trump especially, it’s always felt that way. As soon as she was arrested, Trump’s AG Bill Barr made a quiet visit to her in jail. Shady shady shady.
Anyway, Prince Andrew’s people are bothered by Maxwell’s words, even though for years, Andrew’s argument was that he wasn’t even that close to Epstein, and that Andrew mainly knew Epstein from Ghislaine, who was a close friend. From the Mail:
Hours after the interview was published, Prince Andrew was spotted looking ashen faced while driving around the Windsor estate with ex-wife Sarah Ferguson. And now friends of Andrew have suggested that Ms Maxwell’s comments ‘have not been very helpful’ for the Duke, who continues to shake off his own sex assault allegations following his decision to settle with Ms Giuffre in her US civil case. Prince Andrew has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing.
One friend of the royal reportedly today told The Sun: ‘Receiving words of support from a convicted sex trafficker isn’t very helpful.’ The friend also reportedly told the paper that he needs Maxwell’s backing ‘like a hole in the head’.
For the love of God, Andrew used to date Ghislaine, they were close friends, they socialized together for years, she would stop by the Palace constantly. The jig is up, we know, Andrew.
