I’m genuinely looking forward to The Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery. It will have a theatrical run for a month, and then it’s due out on Netflix (which paid for a multi-film franchise) on December 23. The idea behind it is the same as the first film – a murder mystery with rich, terrible people behaving badly against an interesting backdrop. Edward Norton is the murder victim, I think? And Janelle Monae has some kind of significant role. Last night, they did the European premiere and everyone came out. The best dressed person was Janelle – she wore a spectacular Christian Siriano look in red.
Kate Hudson (with Danny Fujikawa) wore Saint Laurent. Usually I enjoy Saint Laurent and their minimalist boho vibes but this dress sucks. That bile-colored sheer panel is horrendous and combining the look with a fur coat… ugh. I’m sure it’s supposed to be some kind of nod to her character, but it’s awful.
And here’s Daniel Craig & Edward Norton. These two both have reputations for being a bit tricky to work with, I wonder how they got along.
Jessica Henwick in Versace. I like this?
Kathryn Hahn in Rabih Kayrouz. Very subdued.

Janelle looks gorgeous. I love Janelle’s gown for the fun and glamour of it all. Also the color red is *chefs kiss* perfect. That mid section of Kate’s gown is what is ruining it all for me and her face looks…different.
I actually love Ed Norton’s wife/partners gown. It’s basic but elegant and I enjoy the pleating a LOT. Daniel looks annoyed and I love that cause he’s sexy when he looks annoyed.
Janelle Monae looks like she’s at a different event than the others. The dress is kind of ugly, yet I like it. It’s dramatic. Kate Hudson’s dress is hideous. The others are fine but boring.

Janelle looks spectacular, love Christian Siriano. Kate Hudson’s dress is so bad, the colors, the design, ugh. The sheer opening somehow makes it look like skinny little Kate has a poochy tummy. And she’s looks like her cheeks had buccal fat removal, it’s strange and she doesn’t look like herself. Personally I’m tired of skinny spaghetti straps and boobs looking like they are going to slide out.

Kate Hudson’s sheer panel is bizarrely hideous.
She has “perfect” proportions and features (like she’s defo top 5 most beautiful women alive) so she can sell any look. This dress could have been a disaster on someone else
Janelle always looks fabulously great! She has bold tastes & carries them off so well. I wonder if she does her own styling? If she has a stylist, so many other women should be beating a path to that door.
St. Laurent or her stylist managed to make Kate look awful – horrible dress, lank hair.
Daniel Craig always looks so annoyed. Is that resting bitch face or is he really that terrible as far as personality? I love him in movies so I’m not being overly critical just wondering. My husband has hard resting bitch face but he’s really very nice – I guess just a by product of being life longer NYer and working in the construction industry lol
Rest assured, JackieJacks. Like your husband, I think he’s meant to be really nice in person and with a good sense of humour. I always feel his face is better in motion than in still pictures. His lips purse up when he closes his mouth because they are quite thin and wriggly – I think this is what gives him a pissed off demeanour. He reminds me of Kermit, James Kermit!
I love Janelle Monae’s outfit — even though I’m not sure why. I think, like Lizzo, she enjoys playing with her looks and has the presence to carry them off. Nice!
In contrast, Kate Hudson’s look makes me wince. It has exaggerated pieces of the Dior dress that Nicole Kidman wore ages ago ( possibly for an Oscars?). The acid green, the contrasting fur,
the body conscious show of skin. Nicole got it right.
Janelle is amazing. Few people could make that work.

Girl crush for years on Janelle. There is nothing that she can wear that won’t be a win for her. I mean, she’s so pretty, gorgeous, fun, fabulous, just everything, that she’s a joy to hear and see. Sorry for the gushing.
Janelle is wearing the hell out if that look. Love it! Someone less-skilled couldn’t pull it off, but she’s always brilliant at adjusting her posture and poses to complement her outfits.
Everything about Kate Hudson’s look is yuck. Even her makeup is bad, and that’s usually flawless. Ew ew ee.
K Hudson has an amazing body and that dress manages to make it look otherwise. Just horrible.
