The distance from LA to Las Vegas is roughly 230 miles, so a solid four-to-five hour drive with no traffic. Most Angelenos prefer to fly though, especially the people with private planes. So it was for Kim Kardashian, who celebrated her 42nd birthday last Friday. Not only was she inundated with headlines about Taylor Swift – who conveniently dropped her album on Kim’s birthday – but Kim ended up having to cancel her big birthday plans in Las Vegas. She tried to fly out to Vegas with a group of friends and family to watch the Usher show and have a party at Carbone, but the winds in Nevada made it too dangerous for the plane to land. She and her group flew back to LA and she celebrated her birthday at In-and-Out. She ended up posting this days later:
Thank you so much for the birthday wishes. This weekend I had an overwhelmingly beautiful amount of love from so many people reaching out and it really made me smile so much. The flowers, the dinner the almost Vegas trip all was so so special and I will remember this birthday forever
It’s a little bit funny. It was like Taylor Swift’s Revenge played out over the course of the day. But still, Kim got to eat fast food and hang out with her fam, so it was fine. As for those “flowers” Kim referenced, she posted a photo of all of the bouquets she received, and some people think that Pete Davidson sent her one of the bouquets. According to ET, they still talk:
No hard cutoffs for Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson. A source tells ET that the two still communicate despite their breakup in August.
“Pete and Kim still keep in touch,” the source says. “It wasn’t a bad fallout or breakup, so things are good between them and they’ve remained in contact.”
Fans also speculated online over the weekend that Pete had sent his ex flowers for her star-studded 42nd birthday party. Kim posted a photo of roses alongside a jasmin scented Diptyque candle to her Instagram Story, which fans believed to be a reference to the “Jasmine and Aladdin” Saturday Night Live sketch that originally introduced the couple in October 2021.
I bet Pete did send her flowers and a candle. That’s thoughtful and nice. He clearly needed to get out of that relationship because of Kanye West’s harassment and bullying, not because Pete and Kim had some kind of falling out. I kind of wonder if we’ll get a Kim/Pete redux.

Why are Diptyque candles so pricey? Very lovely flowers. Wonder is Ivanka gave her anything for her bday?

Candle lover here – they’ve been in business since the 1960’s and their candles are the real deal. I can often smell them from another room even when they’re unlit.
I bought some from Cire Trudon once, even more expensive (used to be candlemaker to Louis XIV), and the amount of scent was nothing compared to Diptyque in my experience although it may have been the scents I chose.
I also love their perfumes and room sprays.
So it’s definitely pricey but compared to other luxury candles I think they’re definitely worth it.

If you are ever in Paris – go to the Diptyque store there; the prices are lower AND if you spend enough, you get the IVA back. Baies is the bomb, but also everywhere now. Cire Trudon candles – especially Ernesto, is DIVINE. I hoarded the room spray refills and make my bedroom smell swanky with a spitz or two every day. Finally, Astier de Villatte also has some wonderful candles – get the ones in the ceramic containers and, when they are done, clean it out and you have a very pricey porcelain tea cup.
Kim looks great. She looks like she is in her mid thirties not 42. I wish she stopped puckering her lips like that, she is not a teenager any more. The flowers are very beautiful and it looks like Pete may still have feelings for her. Unfortunately as long as Kanye is lurking in the background Pete should stay away from Kim for his own good.
She really does look amazing these days. Most of it is fake, I’m aware but I don’t care. I love the blond hair on her.
The pics are heavily photoshopped/edited/filtered. These women look nothing like this in real life. I must say, Kim from before the surgeries was a true natural beauty. Why on earth she got rid of it all is beyond me.
I was in Vegas this weekend. My first time visiting! The wind was wild!
I think with all the work she’ s had done to her body and face she looks just awful, and just so unattractive. Her body is so weirdly shaped, and that horrible hair color. Oy! She was so cute before all of this work. Every time I see her I think, “OMG the THOT is on the loose”.
She was quite naturally beautiful, but now I just think she (and her sisters) look uncomfortable all the time.
Slightly off topic- but i am concerned for her safety and the safety of her children as their jackass dad implodes. I am sure she has it covered, but yikes.

Nice gesture on his part. I agree that the break-up was about Kanye’s menacing. North and Saint look so much like Kanye. Chicago (especially) and Psalm don’t look at all like him. I’ve always wondered if Kim worried about Kanye’s mental health issues being genetically passed down to the kids. I know it’s possible (I had a schizophrenic student whose father had the same ailment). I hope all the kids are and will be okay. They (and all kids for sure) deserve good lives.
