For weeks/months now, Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga have been filming Joker: Folie à Deux all around New York. For a while, they were filming right by the Manhattan courthouse where Donald Trump will be arraigned today, and it would have been possible to see the MAGA dumbasses interact with Gaga’s Little Monsters, which I honestly would have loved. I feel like Gaga’s monsters would have kicked some insurrectionist ass. Unfortunately, it appears as if Joker is filming in the Bronx this week.
These photos are from recent days, including some pics from last night. They’ve been filming on the iconic “Shakespeare Avenue stairs” in the Bronx, which were famously featured in the first film as well. It looks like Harley Quinn will also get some iconic moments on those stairs.
Personally, I hated the first film and I’m not looking forward to the sequel whatsoever. I will be interested in the promotional tour, because I feel like it will probably be messier than the film. Joaquin famously hates to promote his films, and Gaga… well, she’s going to tell everyone that she was so Method as Harley Quinn, she was actually going out and murdering people.

I agree. Gaga especially has classic over the top theatre kid energy and I am so not here for it.

No, I think it will be fun too. I’m not much into comic book movies, but a musical will at least be a different take, and I enjoyed the first Joker more than I expected.

Lady Gaga can’t act, full stop. She was atrocious on that horrible gucci movie. And this looks next level awful, but might be involuntarily funny at least.
I mean, it’s all objective. She has an Oscar nomination for A Star is Born, and had a BAFTA nom for Gucci. She also had good reviews for that tv show she did a while back. She’s not Jennifer Lawrence imo, but she’s a decent actress.
