Sarah Ferguson will co-host ‘Tea Talks’ podcast, focused on ‘hot topics’ of the day

Last summer, the Duchess of Sussex’s Archetypes podcast debuted. It was an immediate hit, and the royal ecosystem was in a full-blown panic for months. Royal reporters were crying about how Meg’s lil podcast was a “smack in the face” and even Omid Scobie noted that the palace was not calm nor carrying on about Archetypes. They screamed and cried about Meghan’s podcast, they called it narcissistic and tacky, and they gave it millions of dollars of free media. Well, now Sarah Ferguson has announced that she’ll do a podcast as well. And the response has been… crickets.

Sarah Ferguson will be spilling the tea on a new podcast! On Monday, the Duchess of York, 63, announced the launch of a new weekly podcast called Tea Talks with the Duchess & Sarah, out next week. Fergie, as the Duchess of York is affectionately known, is co-hosting the show with entrepreneur Sarah Thomson, and the friends said they won’t shy from any subject.

“It’s about time we spilled the tea… our brand new podcast ‘Tea Talks with the Duchess & Sarah’ is out next week on all streaming platforms,” Fergie wrote on Instagram Monday, linking to the new program from Viral Tribe Entertainment.

According to Tea Talks’ Spotify profile, audiences can look forward to “candid conversations” from the co-hosts “as they spill the tea on the roller coaster of life. With a cup of tea in hand, each week you’ll hear about the week’s hot topics, as the hosts share their thoughts and perspectives on everyday issues. The duo will also be joined by special guests and share personal insights to listeners’ dilemmas,” the page states. “These two great friends will approach everything with infectious enthusiasm and a healthy dose of humour. The Duchess and Sarah promise to leave no stone unturned, and no biscuit un-dunked.”

So, a podcast specifically about the news and gossip of the day, some of which will likely include royal gossip? And no one is saying anything, no one is panicking, no one is calling this tacky or a slap in the face to the Windsors? Don’t get me wrong, I doubt Fergie will actually say anything harmful to the Windsors, but it’s still pretty tacky. I’ve also believed for some time now that Fergie has been shocked with the way Harry and Meghan have launched their brand in America and she’s been trying to replicate their moves for a while.

OMG! I wonder if she can rein it in if the ratings are poor. They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery… Sussexiting has suddenly become a new thing: Sussexful

  2. GoldenMom says:

First, the copykeening in this family is really off the charts! Even the peripherals can’t help themselves.

Second, who cares what this pathetic woman thinks ABOUT ANYTHING? Crickets is the fully appropriate response.

  3. Flower says:

The sole purpose of this podcast will be to dunk on certain members of her family.

I wonder tea Fergie will have on her cohabiting partner ?

I strongly suspect that Sarah is feeling the heat from Charles, the new king, paying the royals in a different way than his mummy used to. Secondly, I think that Sarah will spill “tea” on royal events like the coronation and that spring-carriage thing they do annually. But I also think that she’ll talk about what’s going on with the Sussexes, in a similar way that the BM do on tv, but slightly milder (think shadier) way. Basically, Sarah’s just trying to make money in the York family way.

  4. Mary Pester says:

And I wondered if fergie will talk about her toe sucking texan 🤔

  5. HeyKay says:

Hard. Pass. on anything Fergie or Andrew.

Talk about grifting! Why doesn’t she endorse dog food because she and Andrew are looking after QE remaining corgi’s

  6. Rnot says:

They’re not panicking because they know she’ll step in it sooner rather than later. She’ll say something offensive about some hot topic and then Charles will have more of a reason to exile both of them.

  7. Amy Bee says:

Fergie probably believes that she paved the way for Harry and Meghan being successful in the US. Where’s the press outrage for her new podcast?

  8. Peanut Butter says:

There are so many great podcasts out there with too little time to get to even a small fraction of them. It’s hard for me to fathom why a sizeable audience would burn any time on whatever Sarah’s peddling. I’m mildly curious how long it will last before she quits it, but not curious enough to listen to it

  9. MollyB says:

What in Hula Hell is she wearing?

  10. Ally says:

I love how she’s using the duchess title in the name of the podcast. Guess it’s ok for her to monetize her title, huh? Not that I should be surprised, she’s been doing it for decades.

    • [insert_catchy_name] says:

      This!

    • Angimima says:

^^^ can anyone enlighten me as to why she can still be called a duchess even tho they are divorced? Would she lose the title if he remarried?

    • BeanieBean says:

And divorced from the guy which made her ‘duchess’. It’s like continuing to call yourself ‘missus’ long after your divorce.

  11. [insert_catchy_name] says:

Unlike Megan, this isn’t part of a deal with anyone right? It’s just her and her friend recording themselves chatting and hoping they can make bank with advertisements??

Also who is this Sarah Thompson? She looks quite a bit younger than Fergie in that photo- I just did a quick search, seems like she works for GB news? *rolls eyes*

  12. Lexistential says:

Hard pass. And she had better not open her mouth on what happened in NYC.

  13. Monlette says:

I will swim against the tide and say I am actually looking forward to this. Sarah served up tea to Oprah before Meghan did, and it was delightful. I look forward to what she had to say.
