Last fall, Billie Eilish got a boyfriend. His name is Jesse Rutherford and he is ten years older than Billie. She’s 21, he’s 31. It was amazing and hilarious to watch her fanbase freak out about the age difference and suggest that he was a creepy older guy and a bad influence. Like, Billie is 21… she’s going to date some gross dudes. Many women date terrible men at that age. Well, good news for Billie’s fans – she got out of the relationship without getting pregnant or married. She apparently phased out Jesse over the past month.

Billie Eilish and Jesse Rutherford have called it quits, Page Six can confirm.

“We can confirm Billie and Jesse did split amicably and remain good friends,” the “Bad Guy” singer’s rep tells Page Six Wednesday.

Eilish, 21, and Rutherford, 31, have not been seen together since Coachella in April. The former couple were seen keeping a low profile at the music festival in Indio, Calif.

Eilish then attended the Met Gala in May without Rutherford. The “Lovely” singer stunned at fashion’s biggest night in a sheer dress designed by Simone Rocha. Later that night, Eilish was seen getting cozy with “Love, Victor” actress Ava Capri, who is queer, at an afterparty.

However, Eilish’s rep notes that any speculation about cheating is “false.” Reps for Rutherford did not immediately return Page Six’s request for comment.

Good for her? I’m fine with this, all of it. Sometimes you need to date someone gross. Sometimes you need to get this kind of relationship out of your system so you can move on to better things. I don’t think this was Billie’s first boyfriend, but Jesse was her most serious relationship in a few years, at least. I think it’s fine – normalize “dating.” Normalize “every relationship doesn’t have to be super-serious and forever.”
