The Sussexes are ‘deliberately trying to maintain a disconnect’ from the Windsors?

As I’ve said before, I believe that Prince Harry would like to have some kind of home or rental situation in the UK. That does not mean that he’s currently house-hunting in the UK, nor does it mean that he’s “begging” anyone for anything, especially his father. It’s merely a matter of convenience, especially given that Harry is due in the UK next January for a court appearance, and he’s likely to make several court appearances for his multiple press lawsuits over the next year. Harry had a perfectly good home in the UK, one which he and Meghan had renovated, leased and “paid back” to the tune of over £2 million. King Charles evicted the Sussexes from that family home, which is the root cause of all of this current “real estate drama” in the British media. Well, now the story is that Harry and Meghan are evil for wanting to not lease a royal property. These people, I swear to God.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are “deliberately trying to maintain a disconnect” from the Royal Family, according to one expert. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are reportedly looking to buy their own home in London to give them a base in Harry’s home country. It’s been reported that they want to “purchase a home themselves” instead of asking King Charles for a property on the royal estate.

One expert believes Meghan and Harry are preparing for another feud with the Royal Family, having dropped bombshell allegations about them in their explosive Netflix docuseries, Harry & Meghan. The Duke of Sussex made further claims about his family in his debut memoir, Spare.

PR expert Kieran Elsby said it’s “disappointing” to see Harry and Meghan “further distancing themselves” from The Firm. He told The Mirror: “While they’ve voiced their desire for privacy and independence, their actions, such as this potential property purchase, might be interpreted as a deliberate move to maintain a disconnect from the Royal Family.”

However, he suggested the couple consider having some sort of relationship with the Royal Family. “It’s essential for them to find a balance between personal freedom and maintaining some level of connection with the institution that has been a significant part of their lives,” he told us.
Kieran, director of Media PR Global, says it’s unclear whether or not their potential property purchase will worsen their relationship with the royals. “Whether this signifies another layer of the royal feud or not, it’s clear that the divide continues to widen,” he said.

Kieran’s comments come amid claims King Charles is “ready to reconcile” with Harry and Meghan. However, Dr Ed Owens, author of After Elizabeth: Can the Monarchy Save Itself? said the decision is ultimately down to Meghan and Harry.

“He is demonstrating he is ready to reconcile and that ultimately, the onus is on them to make a decision as to whether they want to heal the wounds that have opened up between them and the rest of the Royal Family. The King has done that quite successfully so far. He’s held the moral high ground, he’s presented himself as a conciliator. That is the best way to maintain his reputation as a public figure,” he told GB News.

[From The Daily Mirror]

Charles has done nothing of the kind, he has no moral high ground and he looks like and IS a dogs-t father who evicted his son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren from a secure UK home. Charles evicted them out of nothing but short-sighted spite, not some kind of high-minded moral imperative. And now that’s being used as an excuse to blast the Sussexes for “wanting to maintain a disconnect.” These people are gaslighting abusers. Something curious, though – in his last two visits to the UK, Harry didn’t stay at Frogmore Cottage or any royal property. It’s bonkers to me that the British media still can’t figure out where he was staying? There was some report that he stayed at a hotel in September, but surely we would have gotten confirmation of that at the time? The lack of reporting on that speaks to how thoroughly Harry can move around without the royals monitoring him.

It’s called grey rocking and no contact.

It’s the only way to deal with narcissists.
Also why the hell would they ask Charles for another home when they were gifted one and he threw a tantrum and took jt away?

Oh right. Charles wants to have something to control them with. Hence the no contact.

You can’t have a heathy relationship with someone who wants to control and use you.

    • Cessily says:

I have an entire shelf of books by experts in domestic violence and abusive relationships devoted to this topic. The BRF and their pirates with pens can be extremely triggering.

      • CuriousCole says:

Cessily, might you recommend some titles to me? I’m in an unfortunate situation and would like more resources.

    • StillDouchesOfCambridge says:

It’s so crazy to say the sussexes want to maintain a disconnect when it was so obvious from the moment they left, the interview, the memoir, the documentary, that all the reporting was pushing the narrative that the king was burning the bridges. looks like the monarchy can’r survive after QE and they absolutely need to fish back the sussexes.

    • Campbell says:

It is about control and Charles and the BRF as a whole don’t have any. Harry should never allow them that power again. I honestly don’t see how Harry and Meghan could buy anything in the UK that wouldn’t be constantly broken into somehow. Frogmore was the answer and now that Charles chose that path, the consequences are likely permanent because why would they bring the children there without a safe home and why would they maintain the security for a home there that they aren’t regularly there for? The result is Charles will likely never see the grandchildren from Harry but I don’t think Charles cares. If he did, he wouldn’t have taken Frogmore.

  2. Rachel says:

Goodness the delusion is strong. That’s how estrangement works peeps – you disconnect! Voilá!

    • swaz says:

Every time Harry and Meghan are out and about looking healthy and happy the Royal Institution send out their POISON PENS 🤢🤢🤢

“Kieran’s comments come amid claims King Charles is “ready to reconcile” with Harry and Meghan.”

How is KFCIII ready to reconcile? By evicting them from their lease home on a Royal Estate???

    • MsIam says:

I guess Charlie’s staff realized its not a good look for the head of the Church of England to come across as a mean spirited grudge holder who doesn’t care about his own flesh and blood. So that’s why there is a flood of articles saying Charles is “desperate” to reconcile but its all the Sussexes fault, its all William and Kate’s fault, next it will be Camilla’s fault, probably Beatrice and Eugenie’s fault too. The fact that Charles leaves town whenever Harry is in the UK tells the real story.

    • StillDouchesOfCambridge says:

of course, let’s unfriend people, treat them like shiz, try to trap them in all kinds of schemes, then tell them we’re ready to reconcile and to forgive them. see how that works. the king and his team are really a bunch of morons

    • Christine says:

Where is the refund owed to Harry and Meghan for the renovations to Frogmore Cottage, Chuck?

The onus is on you, this is next level gaslighting.

  4. Um.. yeah the Sussexes are disconnected because the royal cult klan wanted them out. So they have moved on and are not coming back. This is like the longest breakup known to man on the klans and tabloids part and all I can hear in my head is the song by Rainbow Since you’ve been gone lol. Get over it they are not coming back.

Pince Harry and Meghan Markle are “deliberately trying to maintain a disconnect” from the Royal Family, according to one expert.

    Good.

You trash racist lost your chance with Meghan and Harry. Now they’re gone and they’re never looking back. Move. On.

  6. Laura D says:

IF (and it’s a big IF) any of this is remotely true, then I don’t blame H&M looking for a UK base away from the Windsors. Even if Charles did give them back their home there’s absolutely no guarantee that William would honour the agreement. Harry trusted his father to make good on his wedding gift from QEII and look what happened. This isn’t about a disconnect from his family at all. This about a proven lack of trust. One fall out with a ‘favoured’ tabloid editor or an imagined slight by H&M towards any member of the family and H&M would be homeless all over again.

    • Lili says:

This is the real issue, when it’s Williams turn it will be worse, they will dependent on him for everything, so I don’t blame them for disconnecting, if they ever go back they will need to make sure they are totally financially independent. But when you look at how much of their own money they spent on furnishing the house and Meghan’s clothes, I’m not surprised they got out of dodge with no way to replenish their coffers they would have run out of money way too soon

      • tamsin says:

That parasitic family sucked Harry dry of duty, and was sucking Meghan dry of money. Grifters got to grift, as they say.

      • beautifully broken says:

This is quite profound, Lili. I am sure Meghan would have seen their financial dire straits if they had not moved on when they did.

    • pottymouth pup says:

based on Charles’ behavior with their last royal home, I wouldn’t trust him not to evict them from any home he would allow them to rent (after requiring them to a lease in advance and not returning any of the funds due them)

    • Wannabefarmer says:

You hit the nail on the head @Laura D with your observation about trust. I dont think many people realize the importance of trust in ANY relationships. None can survive without that. They broke H’s trust and have been doing it for eons. The last straw was what they did to HIS wife and child(ren). H says he feels compassion for them. When someone says that, you know they are done with you in any sort of intimate way. (I read, he feels pity for them).

      • BadassBCBA says:

@WANNABEFARMER – I don’t think he will ever have an intimate relationship with them again. It’s going to be cute and civil… from a distance

  7. Feeshalori says:

I think of the old adage, which is very appropriate in this case. “Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me.” The Sussexes won’t put themselves in another situation, where it can lead to a second home being yanked from them.

    • Jaded says:

Nor will they put themselves in a situation where everyone from his effing father to the cleaning staff is leaking to the tabloids on them.

      • Feeshalori says:

Yep, that’s a snowball’s chance in hell of H&M going down that road again and the RF are fools if they think that. But then again, we all know how they think and operate.

  8. Jais says:

Let me get this strait. Harry and Meghan were evicted from one royal property already and somehow they’re wrong for not asking for another royal property. Make it make sense.

    • Debbie says:

Well, it makes about as much sense as refusing the Sussexes’ generous suggestion of working on a half-and-half basis outright, but now saying that the couple should consider having some sort of relationship with the family, and that “It’s essential for them to find a balance between personal freedom and maintaining some level of connection with the institution.” What, you mean like a half-in/half-out? If that suggestion had be accepted, it would have benefited the Windsors but this way it worked out better for the Sussexes.

    • Wannabefarmer says:

When they will figure out Meghan has no interest in ‘royal’ properties is beyond me. They are so besotted with ‘royalty’ they cannot fathom WHY a BLACK/mixed race woman is not doing the paplov’s dog dance to stay in. She got the one royal thing she wanted, she’s out. She doesnt care about these things – she wanted a husband, some children and to keep doing her philanthropy. She got all that now. She has no interest in gilded cages. When, oh when will they realize she IS DONE?? That she is one of those women who leaves the table when respect is not being served? I wish these people would just move along. geezus.

  9. dee(2) says:

It’s been almost four years of this nonsense, when will it end?!! Are they really going to be writing about whether or not 90-year-old Charles goes to Lili’s sweet 16, or if the Sussexes’ have been “snubbed” from Louis’ 18th birthday party? On what planet is someone buying their own home with their own money, a “dig” and indication of a “feud” with their family? The need for these people to know everything they are doing, everyone the speak with, and everything discussed is pathological. Literally none of these experts would find these questions appropriate turned on them or their family members. It’s disgusting.

  10. Eurydice says:

Uh huh, looks like this PR “expert” is doing some PR for himself.

  11. Slove says:

I guess PR expert Kieran Elsby didn’t hear about Chuck evicting the Sussexes from Frogmore Cottage. How embarrassing.

  12. Pebbles says:

All this article is doing is wishing H&M stay somewhere on royal property so that they can get info and leaks on them constantly and be able to write lies about them. If they maintain a separate space away from Royals it gives media nothing and it doesn’t benefit the Royal family with association. Even more so it makes Charles’ decision to kick them out of Frogmore even more ridiculous and spiteful. They can write as many lies as they want about him being conciliatory but even they know that stinks when the evidence is him rushing to kick them out for no reason and nobody to put in the house, plus him refusing to let Harry stay on his on property for his brief visits.

  13. Amy Bee says:

As Kaiser said it’s nothing but gaslighting. How is wanting to find their own place to live in the UK a bad thing? The only thing I can think of is the press wants them on a royal property so they can attack for living there.

    • Becks1 says:

The press wants to attack them for accepting any kind of crown or royal property and they also want control/access to them – I think that’s why we’re hearing so much about KP for Harry. They can track him at KP, in a way they couldn’t track him at Frogmore/Windsor.

  14. Shawna says:

Um, yes. They broke up with you. There IS a disconnect. It’s been there for three years.

  15. B says:

What has always surprised me about the UK press is how they can just repeat something again and again until people just start to believe its true. The latest talking point is “Charles is/has demonstrated he’s ready to reconcile”. If Charles wanted to reconcile he would have gone to Lili’s christening, they would have walked back taking Frogmore Cottage just like they walked back taking Andrew’s home, and the Sussexes would have tax payer funded security like Andrew or be allowed to pay for MET security like everyone else in the UK.

Even Angela Levin (Camilla’s biographer) recent Meghan memoir stories were probably just written to distract from Chuck’s latest cash for access scandal. Chuck is truly a awful father, monarch, and philanthropist but its especially galling when they act like he’s made any effort to be a decent father to Harry.

Also the BRF is constantly engulfed in seedy scandals like sex crimes, lying about donations and money laundering under the guise of charity work. OF COURSE the Sussexes want to distance themselves and Archewell from all of that.

  16. Nic919 says:

Why would Harry ever lease a property where the monarch can do whatever they want when they feel, like it? And William would be just as volatile if not worse.

The fact that stories still abound relating to Royal Lodge and giving it to William, when Andrew has a 99 year lease and payment was made tells you just how unstable it is to have the monarch as direct landlord.

If Harry purchases something in the UK it will be outside of the reach of either Charles and William.

Also kicking out you child from a fully paid lease is the opposite of conciliation.

  17. Stephanie says:

I kind of want them to shop around, find an amazing place, and then watch both Will & Kate have a sh*t fit in the press about how THEY deserve that kind of property somehow. Because you know they will.

  18. DeluxeDuckling says:

“The lack of reporting on that speaks to how thoroughly Harry can move around without the royals monitoring him.”

    Truly

  19. VilleRose says:

So this article is literally just talking about the obvious: the deliberate emotional/physical distance between the Sussexes and the rest of the BRF? Yes and…? I get that they’re panicking because the Sussexes are never coming back but the well on reconciliation stories is running dry. It’s been almost 4 years, they won’t have anything interesting to write about until William and Kate announce their separation (probably).

  20. Emma says:

In terms of Harry’s ability to stay safe in the UK, I still think the Spencers are involved. If not his uncle, then one of his aunts. He’s still got family who are nothing to do with the Windsors.

  21. YeahRight says:

Before any property can be purchased the security situation has to be settled. As much as he would love to own a home in his homeland making sure he and his family can move around safely is top priority for Harry. Why would he want another palace owned home? So they can leak when he’s there and snatch it from him when they get mad at him. Even if upchuck and Harry reconcile and the security thing is settled I still don’t see them wanting a home on palace grounds. Fact remains Willy is still a jealous hateful weirdo who will try to take anything upchuck gives Harry when he becomes king if a reconciliation happens.

  22. Renae says:

I would not trust any of the Windsors around Archie and Lili.
If H&M do buy something in the London area, it will be thru a straw buyer and no one will know. Heck, they may already have a place and no one knows. (Maybe why no one knows where Harry has stayed on his last visits).

  23. Mrs.Krabapple says:

If I had family members who are emotionally and physically abusive to their spouses, who supported racist tropes, who raped girls, who hung out with child rapists, who laundered money for Russian oligarchs and the bin Laden family, and God know what else, I would probably try to distance myself as well.

  24. Saucy&Sassy says:

I can’t see the logic of H&M purchasing a place in the UK. They can come and go when they need/want to without anyone the wiser as to where they’re staying. If they purchased a home, every bm and photog out there would be telling the world where it is and would undoubtedly have pictures of the inside of the home. Why would H&M do that?

My advice to KFC: If you really do want to reconcile with your younger son, you need to SPEAK to him face-to-face. Stop running away when Harry is in London. Stop letting the bm talk for you (assuming this isn’t all made up.) So far, I would say that KFC has no intention of reconciling with H&M.

  25. blunt talker says:

I feel like a lot of posters-King Charles is burying his head in the sand by running away everytime Harry comes to London-If he really wants to improve his relationship with his son then make time to do so-Taking Frogmore Cottage away is on him-if the Sussexes are looking for a place in the Uk-this will be their decision, their choice, and their money-no imposing rules and regulations on this family-if the royals would back off with their pit-bull tactics using the Uk so-called media-then things can improve -as Harry has said-they have a contract with the shitstain media because they are afraid and need their help to spread their message-if anybody is being controlled it is the royal family of the king and future king-I don’t see love or care in this family-I see something sinister.

  26. bisynaptic says:

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are “deliberately trying to maintain a disconnect” from the Royal Family, according to one expert.
    — no shit, Sherlock.

  27. Norvell says:

Common sense: Why would H & M accept another Royal Family property to risk another future eviction and/or loss of privacy from Royal busybodies? Did KCIIi ever compensate H & M for what they paid in renovations? Accepting another Royal property means loss of control and dependency upon people, who are basically evil…
