Princess Beatrice went to Bond St in NYC the same night as Taylor Swift

Princess Beatrice was seen out in New York over the weekend! I’m not sure that anyone even knew she was in New York, and it feels like the only reason she was pap’d on Saturday was because she happened to be at hotspot Bond St at the same time as Taylor Swift and Tay’s girl squad. There was no sign of Beatrice’s husband Edo Mapelli Mozzi and we don’t know who Beatrice was with or if she interacted with Taylor and the squad at all. Beatrice has celebrity connections and I wouldn’t be surprised if she knows Taylor and Sophie Turner, not to mention Cara Delevingne. I like Beatrice’s coat in these pics, even if I think she should have gone for a different color.

Meanwhile, people are still talking about that Eden Confidential column from last week, where Mail columnist Richard Eden publicly begged King Charles to make the York princesses into “working royals.” There is a need for younger, cooler royals but of course Charles won’t hear of it. As it turns out, the CEO of Republic (the anti-monarchy group) also thinks it’s a bad idea.

Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice’s mooted promotion to working members of the Royal Family has been torn apart by the CEO of Republic.

Graham Smith, CEO of Republic, slammed the idea of adding more working members to the Royal Family’s roster and paying them to undertake engagements. Republic is a pressure group that campaigns for the monarchy to be abolished and to replace King Charles with an independent elected head of state.

Smith told GBNews.com: “It’s appalling that they are paying for people to go around on these engagements. The engagements are infrequent anyway, so the idea he needs to pay for more royals to do them is nonsense.”

Eh. Clearly, if Charles was a chief executive with half a brain, he would understand that he and his wife need some additional support beyond Buttons and Rage. The fact that Charles refuses to ask for the support is really funny though. Meanwhile, Beatrice and Eugenie are just living their lives and enjoying themselves. Bea flew to New York for no apparent reason and no one in that family had anything to say about it.

I don’t believe either York sister is interested in becoming working royals. They will lose the freedom they have now and the Palace will throw them under the bus to protect the heirs.

    • Eggplantpeggie says:

they’d be completely crazy to do it knowing exactly what happened/is happening with Harry and Meg. They’d be the everyday punching bag of unpopular tampon king and power hungry eggplant prince, thrown under the bus every day everyday, exposed for things that they thought would be confidential, their life and family would be monetized, etc. CRA.ZY.

Forgive me since I don’t know this (and barely care about her)- does she have a job? Didn’t one of the York sisters work in art or something? Maybe she’s in nyc for work. It’s funny that nobody cares enough to check, love that for her.

    • Dee(2) says:

I was just thinking that I couldn’t remember if it was her or Eugenie maybe both that lived in New York for quite a while for work. Could be work related, or they could be catching up with old friends.

      • Elizabeth Kerri Mahon says:

Eugenie worked in New York for a while for Paddle 8. She was also a director at an art gallery in London. Princess Beatrice also worked in New York briefly. She works as Vice President of Partnerships and Strategy at Afiniti, according to Wikipedia.

      • Jais says:

I think her mom might also be in nyc?

    • Beatrice says:

Beatrice works for Afiniti. I don’t know what she does exactly. Eugenie is the one who works in art, at the art gallery Hauser & Wirth

  3. Jais says:

It’s a gorgeous coat. If they became working royals, they would one day work for William. I’d like to think they have a greater sense of self-preservation than to ever do that.

  4. Kristen from MA says:

While i admit that I’ve never cared for the York sisters (especially
Beatrice), I don’t want them to become working royals simply because Andrew wants it. F that entitled, pedo creep.

    • Jan says:

Andy, Fergie and Beatrice wants it, don’t talk about her husband, he would love nothing more.
I’m not sure about Eugenie, I believe the Windsors are putting pressure on her to stop being friends with the Sussexes.
What the English don’t understand is, Americans love an underdog, and if they’re hardworking, a cherry on top.
In England Charles is King, but in America the $ is the King.

I LOVE Bea’s coat and think the color is lovely. The style really suits her and I appreciate her messy hair style. Taylor should take notes. I don’t know what Beatrice does for work but I know that Eugenie worked as a gallerina in NYC and then as a Associate Director at Hauser & Wirth.

    That coat is fabulous.

  7. J.Ferber says:

The coat is great, but I don’t envy her that husband. This is probably true for all of them, but her situation screams, “Edo would NEVER be with her if she weren’t a royal princess and he weren’t a social climber.” I couldn’t stand that if I were her. Obviously, she doesn’t feel like that or know/care that others feel that way. Something is very obviously slimy about him, like he’s The Talented Mr. Ripley (by Patricia Highsmith) in real life (without the murders, one would hope).

    • Tarte au Citron says:

Definitely… would anyone be surprised if it ever turned out he had some side action? Guys like him who marry up still think they could do even better.

  8. Jay says:

That trench looks polished, warm and overall luxurious – would love one for myself if I had the money!

  9. Lauren says:

Beatrice was in NY with her mother, they both visited a make-up artist and had a few photos up of the makeover.

  10. BQM says:

Cara is good friends with Eugenie—and was at her wedding—so I’m sure Beatrice knows her.

    • Grace says:

I remember reading that Sarah is friends with Cara’s mother, so they’ve all known each other for ages.
