Ivanka Trump testified at her father’s fraud trial, said ‘I do not recall’ a lot

Grifter Barbie Goes To Court: A Trump Family Adventure. Yesterday, Ivanka Trump made her long-awaited appearance in a Manhattan courtroom to testify as part of the penalties phase of her father’s civil fraud trial. Donald Trump has already been found liable of fraud, so right now the judge is trying to determine the penalties. Previously, the court threw out any charges for Ivanka, so she was there purely as a witness to her father’s long history of lies about his finances. Ivanka ended up getting high marks from the reporters inside the courtroom because she was calm, she never raised her voice and she stayed on topic, if the topic was “I do not recall.”

On Wednesday, Ms. Trump appeared not as a top executive of the Trump Organization, but as a former employee, albeit one with a highly personal connection to the case. She played a key role in establishing some of the company’s relationships with lenders — particularly Deutsche Bank — and answered questions about the loan terms.

The attorney general’s team presented Ms. Trump with a 2011 email in which she told a Trump Organization colleague that the favorable terms of a deal would be possible only if backed by a guarantee about her father’s net worth.

“It doesn’t get better than this,” Ivanka Trump said of the generous terms in 2011. “Let’s discuss ASAP.”

The bank’s offer required the Trump Organization to maintain a minimum net worth of $3 billion, excluding any value tied to Mr. Trump’s brand, illustrating a central contention of the attorney general’s case: that loan terms were predicated on Mr. Trump’s wealth, and that his annual financial statements were submitted each year to uphold those terms.

In another email exchange, the family’s banker at Deutsche Bank, Rosemary Vrablic, offered the Trump Organization another set of favorable terms, prompting Ms. Trump to thank her profusely, saying, “You are the best Rosemary!”

Yet Ms. Trump, when asked about the annual financial statements, clammed up. At one point, she was asked about an occasion on which she was called to defend them. The meeting was with a government agency that was evaluating her company’s bid to develop the Old Post Office, a federal building in Washington that became the Trump International Hotel.

“I don’t recall them having discussed financial statements specifically,” she says. “The whole meeting was mainly about our vision for the project.”

[From The NY Times]

It sucks that Ivanka basically baby-whispered and pseudo-girl-bossed her way out facing consequences for the insurrection, for her father’s entire fascist presidency and for her family’s decades-long criminal fraud. Hilariously, Ivanka tried to get out of testifying by citing her children’s school schedule, but the judge ordered her to appear. I saw Letitia James’ presser after Ivanka’s testimony and James seemed kind of subdued, like she expected Ivanka to crack and Ivanka didn’t.

Ivanka did get heckled with “crime family” as she entered the courthouse.

    Well she would, wouldn’t she.

  2. ThatsNotOkay says:

    Her whole face is fraudulent.

    • Josephine says:

it’s creepy how much she looks like her step-mom. just the wig is a different color.

    • Cessily says:

She certainly had it all redone for the trial. Looks like she even reduced her nose more. I thought people usually waited until after they testified against organized crime to alter their appearance but guess not.

      • Chanteloup says:

haha @ Cessily, that made me cackle!

      • paintybox says:

@Cessily, I know, where did her nose go?? The proportions of her face are way off now.
        Also, Kaiser – Grifter Barbie – 😂 – priceless!

      • Lau says:

I was coming here just to ask what had happened to her nose because Wow, there’s nothing left of it. It’s even worse than Khloe Kardashian’s nose.

      • Smart&Messy says:

She wanted to disappear with the Saudi 2bn dollars, but the NY prosecuter got to her first, I guess. I’m sure she would have preferred her Dad dead or laying low with her, instead of running for another term and bring attention on the family again. I wonder if she and hubby shared any of that money with Daddy or wanted to keep it all to themselves. Maybe they did share, and that’s why Melania renigotiated the prenup.

      • bisynaptic says:

        The incredible disappearing nose!

    • SarahCS says:

I haven’t seen her on film in a while but the stills look like someone in a movie with a ton of make up and prosthetics.

    • Mrs.Krabapple says:

She HAS to. Whatever it takes to stop aging and keep her shallow, woman-hating husband in their marriage. Because HE (not Ivanka), has the real money in the family, and I’m sure she would get next to nothing in a divorce. Those Kushner boys must have iron-clad pre-nups because they can afford the best lawyers on earth. As soon as she’s not attractive to him anymore, she’s out. This is what happens to women who sell themselves to misogynistic assh*ole men for money.

    • ClaireB says:

It looks like she got jaw implants, because her face used to be moon-shaped, like her father’s.

  3. L84Tea says:

Holy chin and cheek implants, Batman!

    • Whomever says:

The facial injections and implants only serve to highlight how tiny her nose is after all her rhinoplasties. Wasn’t there a story a few years back that when she has her makeup done she has to put straws up her nostrils to breathe? I just can’t unsee it now.

    • Chantal says:

She’s the original Botox Barbie! She started having plastic surgery when she was very young. I was shocked when I first saw the photos but that plastic surgeon did a good job.

  4. Playing stupid on the stand will not absolve her or her fraudulent family of their crimes.

    • Josephine says:

she’s such an amazing business person that she and her husband got top jobs for the us gov’t but she’s too stupid and low-level to know anything or remember anything. right. low-class grifters.

  5. D says:

Did she get a full facelift? It’s so obvious from the profile shop.

    • PunkyMomma says:

That was my immediate thought—full face lift.

    • seaflower says:

She looks different, almost has a masculine jaw in some photos.

      • Debbie says:

I’m glad someone else saw it too because that’s what I thought after looking at the photos. That, and she looked very plastic, and her checks looked “flat” if that makes any sense.

    • Dilettante says:

D and Punky Momma, I agree.

    • Bread and Circuses says:

Not a face-lift — someone did a side-by-side comparison of photos and it’s definitely that she got cheek implants and a chin implant.

In motion, in the footage outside the courthouse, I thought she looked different but very pretty. In still shots, however, she’s starting to look unnatural.

  6. Eowyn says:

I’m not young, I know there are different rules and consequences for different people in this world but JFC. Sometimes it’s very hard to stomach reality!
She wishes she had any of those facial features to pass on to her kids, ha.

    • seaflower says:

She’ll just pick up the plastic surgery tab for their 18th birthdays

      • Lightpurplei says:

She started having procedures when she was about 14 so doubtful she’ll wait until they’re 18 before she starts in on them. Their saving grace may be that, based on the body language in the family photos she loves to post, Jared has a much better relationship with all 3 kids than she does and he may not want their faces carved up.

  7. girl_ninja says:

It’s already been said here but she seriously needs to stop messing with her face. She looks like Melania and that’s not a compliment.

    • Blithe says:

Plastic surgery that makes her resemble her step-mother must make for some interesting family dynamics. I wonder what Jared’s take on this might be. How do people explain stuff like this to their kids?

  8. ML says:

“Hilariously, Ivanka tried to get out of testifying by citing her children’s school schedule, but the judge ordered her to appear.”

Her FIL is not an English king. This excuse was bound to fail in the US.

Interesting how that whole viperous family suffers from dementiamnesia.

    • Seraphina says:

Citing that it would cause undo hardship. I was like, are you ASKING the judge to order you to appear??? because that is a lame ass excuse.

    • Deering24 says:

Yeesh. She’s dumb enough to model a “get out of trouble” strategy on what Kate does?!?!?! 😂

  9. Mamasan says:

She was pretty before. That face looks like she ordered it off Temu. Almost a caricature of herself.
I wonder why she did that, it’s not like she looked bad before at all.

  10. Lightpurplei says:

Just pointing out that the very strong charges against her were dropped only because of statutes of limitations problems

Also, in her attempts to look like Stormy Daniels, she has entered Michael Jackson territory. Where the hell is her nose?

  11. Her again says:

Has she had another nose job?? Her nose looks even smaller than the last nose job

  12. Becks1 says:

her lawyer must actually be competent because that’s what a good lawyer would have advised her to say – “i do not recall” as much as possible. It’s not lying per se, its more just that lawyers will instruct clients to not answer anything if they dont know the answer 100%. and its really hard to prove what someone does or does not remember.

It is frustrating though how she seems to skate by like she wasnt a willing participant in some of these schemes.

  13. Lucy says:

She’s outside the statute of limitations to be included in the civil portion, it’s still possible for criminal charges to come, depending on the limitations there.

It doesn’t matter if she “can’t recall,” they got all her internal e-mail communications in the record where she was clearly involved in financial side and knew what was going on and I believe the emails looped Jared into the scheme.

Remember, trump has already lost this case, all of the testimony is to figure out how big the financial penalties will be. This is to determine their level of intent and culpability. It’s pretty clear that the whole organization was knowingly involved from top to bottom. The minimum fine trump org is getting is $250 million, there’s no way they have that in cash. So assets will be frozen and sold off to pay it. This is not a loss.

    • BlueNailsBetty says:

Exactly. Ivanka’s testimony is irrelevant. The purpose of getting her on the stand was so the prosecution could get those documents accepted as evidence.

  14. Chantal says:

I thought it was interesting that a reporter said that 45 used some of his offsprings’ asset to also increase his net worth and get the DB loan, which was supposed to be based on his assets alone. I’ll bet DB and other third party lenders are paying close attention bc 45s entire crime spree org made fools out of them. Bc by then, US banks were refusing to lend any more to this 4 times fake failed “businessman”. I mean, how do you bankrupt a casino, when the house is supposed to always win? What’s also funny is that if he had just invested his $400m inheritance, he would have been a billionaire without lifting a finger. Anyway, most legal consensus seems to be that Business Barbie’s testimony didn’t help her father’s case at all regarding the fraudulent financial statements the third party lenders relied on and based their rates on. She’s smart, and although she couldn’t fully distance herself, bc she helped make some of those deals happen (the statute of limitations had expired so she wasn’t a defendant), it was obvious that at her level in the org, she should have known the info in those financial statements weren’t true. It also further illustrated what circus clowns her brothers are (apologies to clowns).

    • Roan Inish says:

Agree 100%. I’m also curious about another thing that came up during the Donald’s testimony. He repeated many times that DB didn’t lose any money that they paid the loans in full. What about all of their many bankruptcies? Which creditors got stiffed from those?

    • Truthiness says:

Ivanka absolutely hurt Trump’s case. Revealing that Trump loans were contingent on maintaining a net worth of x billions shows motive for the fraud.

  15. Bumblebee says:

I really, really, really hate it when rich women of privilege use being a mother as an excuse to get out of work or as a criminal defense. Holmes, Middleton, Trump, the list goes. Ivanka tried to get out of testifying at this trial by saying, she’s a ‘mother of young children’.

  16. NJGR says:

All the facial surgery in the world can’t change the fact that she has her father’s angry little anus-mouth.

  17. Alix says:

The way she strut through the photographers to the courtroom as though she were on the runway was gag-worthy.

    • FYI says:

I saw her at a restaurant in Georgetown once, exiting with her kids. (This was four noses ago.) She smiled and preened for everyone as she walked out, as if we were all thrilled to see her go by.
      Reader, we were not.

The weird, pert smile is so effing psycho. Like she thinks she’s being adored!

    • Debbie says:

From the way she dressed and was posing or cat-walking, I got the impression that Ivanka wanted to go viral for her fashion, like Gwyneth Paltrow when she was on trial and Wynona Rider years ago when she was on trial too.

  18. Ennie says:

Her wig is what Kate”’s wig aspires to be.

  19. Mel says:

Of course she can’t recall. IG has video of her entering the court while the people outside screamed “Crime Family” at her. She looked unnerved. I enjoyed every second of her discomfort.

  20. Ace says:

Holy shit, her nose looks like it’s going to collapse at any moment. It looks so incredibly fake that it’s unnerving, like an AI image gone wrong.

  21. equality says:

Probably true. It likely would be hard to remember that many lies and keep them straight in your head.

  22. Beverley says:

She’s a criminal, just like dear old dad.
Someday Karma will come for her bony ass.

  23. Libra says:

Somewhere Tiffany Trump is saying thank you !! for not being born beautiful enough to be considered part of this crime syndicate .

  24. Jaded says:

Although she’s not a defendant in this civil case, she could still be facing criminal exposure and there could still be ongoing investigations. She was the principal contact with Deutsche Bank, the largest lender to the Trump Organization, and was involved in communicating Donald’s net worth, knowing full well the amount was far higher than it actually was. She was deeply involved in the development of the Trump hotel & resort in Doral Fla. as well as the Old Post Office redevelopment project in DC so she knows the numbers were grossly inflated in order to get the necessary financing. It ain’t over ’til it’s over!

  25. Mrs.Krabapple says:

I know it’s hard to prove, but saying “I don’t recall” when you really do, is perjury. She lied under oath to God. But of course, that does not matter to their rabid republican base who claim to be so-called “Christians.”

  26. olliesmom says:

No wonder we haven’t seen her for awhile. She has a new face.

I would love it if she went to jail so that she wouldn’t be able to keep up all of the stuff that she does to her face like the fillers, botox and whatever else she considers “maintenance”. It would be fun to see what she would look like after about a year.

Sorry? Not sorry. Because she’s a horrible whatever she is.

  27. Ann h says:

It’s disturbing how much she is trying to channel Melania with her hairstyle and new face. I was under the impression she didn’t like her dad pawing her, but maybe I’m wrong. Strange family.
