Elin Woods to go to Sweden for Christmas, plans to divorce Tiger

infphoto_1140703
People Magazine has been running stories that claim that Elin Woods is about to leave her massively unfaithful husband of five years. Moving and utility vans were seen outside the Woods’ Florida mansion last week, and People reports that Elin is definitely leaving the bastard. She’s said to be meeting with divorce lawyers to try and wriggle out of some of the provisions in her prenup. Tiger’s kids will also spend the holidays in Sweden with Elin and her family while their dad stays stateside – probably on his yacht with the mistress he paid off for her silence and continued services.

Good for Elin for leaving and for making sure that People Magazine knew about it. If you’re going to talk to the celebrity press, you can’t do much better than People.

The holidays may bring a final showdown in the marriage of Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren, a source close to the golfer’s wife tells PEOPLE, saying, “She plans to leave Tiger.”

Another source says, “She’s made up her mind. There’s nothing to think about: he’s never going to change,” PEOPLE reports in its upcoming issue, on newsstands Friday.

A high-profile Florida divorce attorney tells PEOPLE that Nordegren has met with lawyers to renegotiate the Woods’ prenuptial agreement.

On Thursday, workers began moving large items including what appeared to be works of art out of the couple’s home in Windermere, Fla., and Nordegren was seen giving them instructions…

Escaping the media glare, Elin Nordegren is taking the kids and traveling to her homeland for the holidays, a source tells PEOPLE.

“Elin is going to Sweden soon,” the source says. “Two stewardesses and one pilot are in Sweden with the plane now getting it ready to come pick them up.”

The initial plan was for Nordegren, 29, and the family to travel to Sweden in January. But those plans changed. Woods is not expected to come along.

Nordegren’s mother, Barbo Holmber, has returned to Sweden after coming to her daughter’s side after the Thanksgiving morning crisis, and ending up in the hospital after complaining of stomach pain.

Sources caution that Nordegren’s holiday trip to Sweden, where she recently purchased a $2.3 million country retreat outside Stockholm, is not a permanent one as she plans to split her time between both countries.

But she still still intends to separate from Woods. “She plans to leave Tiger,” a source told PEOPLE after she was photographed sans wedding ring near her Florida home.

I love how People is focusing on Elin now and not dealing with all the mistress and ex-girlfriend drama – and there’s still plenty of it. We heard yesterday from a PUMA spokesperson that Elin was about to sign a deal to represent a Swedish-themed clothing line. PUMA is a major competitor of Woods sponsor Nike, which is standing by the golfer despite the cheating scandal. I’m hoping that deal goes through and that we see a triumphant ex Mrs. Woods looking hot in a national ad campaign. There’s nothing wrong with a little gloating.

In the many kind of tawdry stories about Tiger’s mistresses – the two Jaime[e]s with matching under-eye piercings ran into each other at a club in LA. The blonde Jaime, who used to be a stripper but took off to cash in on the Tiger affair and gained a lot of weight fast (according to her ex boss) tried to approach brunette reality contestant Jaimee and was rebuffed. It’s as if Jaimee thinks she’s better than Jaime!

There’s also news that Tiger is negotiating a million plus payoff for his longterm 40-something mistress. The woman, Theresa Rogers, has a 4-5 year-old son that may or may not be Tigers. Radar has a picture of her looking like she’s holding someone else’s babywhile wearing a T-Shirt that says “one boyfriend is not enough.” The story is somewhat complicated, but supposedly Rogers was married to a guy who couldn’t have kids and she was trying to get pregnant by Tiger for a big payday. She was also seeing a “Serbian basketball player” on the side and the baby could be his. The child doesn’t look like Tiger’s other kids so it’s probably not his. Either way, this woman is getting paid. I hope Tiger has enough left for Elin.

God this is tragic. The man is a serial cheater. Maybe because he is so young, maybe because he was brought up to think he was a king and deserved everything. My heart goes out to Elin and the two children. This is going to be one messy divorce. Even if he gets joint custody, he’s so busy on the circuit, he won’t see them that much. And don’t they have a pair of adorable dogs? What’s going to happen to them?

  2. Firestarter says:

    Good for her!

  3. DoMaJoReMc says:

Hopefully, IF he gets visitation rights, they will be supervised…and NOT by the many mistresses that he HAS. These kids need to learn what a loving relationship is, and hopefully Elin will have the opportunity to someday let her heart trust again. This sucks, all the way around, but KUDOS to Elin for signing on with Puma! My new favorite! Yesterday all the Nikes I had were thrown out. I know this doesn’t affect Nike or Woods one damn bit, but it made me feel better, symbolically! LOL!

  4. photo jojo says:

I’m in desperate need of a new pair of athletic shoes and I believe I’ll be buying some Pumas. 🙂

  5. Kaboom says:

Well Tiger, as the bikini waxer said: “This is gonna huuuuuuuuuurt!”

  6. Guest says:

    story of the freakin year!!

  7. bella says:

How sad for Elin and her children, but thank God she’s got the strength to actually pull it off, rather than staying married to this massive jerk-off. Good for her for claiming what dignity she is able and walking away.

  8. Jojo says:

WOW, a mistress hierarchy! Who knew!

  9. UrbanRube says:

    Team Puma.

  10. Enonymous says:

I agree with everyone, good on her. I always hated the trend of women sticking by their cheating/abusive husbands and continuing to play ‘happy families’ while the husband grinned once again, the woman had to unfairly endure that humiliation for ever.

  11. snowball says:

I’m all for Elin moving out, moving on.

I don’t understand why Tiger should only have supervised visits with his kids. They have nothing to do with his being a cheating bum and as far as I know, he’s been a good dad. Sam at least, loves to be with him, she’s always reaching for him and in most pictures of them as a family, Tiger’s holding Sam.

  12. yeahyeahno-e says:

just an fyi… an extra “e” on the end of your name makes you better than everyone.

    everyone!

  13. CadieBelle says:

Elin has always been a class act.

  14. nj says:

I will support Elins campaign. Screw you, Tiger. Hold your head high, Elin. I wish all the best for you. Now you go, take your time to find your feet, enjoy those stunning kids, enjoy the money YOU HELPED HIM EARN and when you are ready, find a hot, faithful beautiful MAN who will adore you AND ONLY YOU. And try to remember that sometimes the real bad stuff has to happen to good people. Tiger was a fail, but you got those 2 lovely little children out of him. You have so much ahead of you; I bet the happiest days are right around the corner for you. Now if you’ll excuse me, I am heading off to buy some Puma gear.

  15. ogechi says:

***yarning*** is she still planning to?? Tot she had left since?? so that people will talk less of Tiger Woods!!!

  16. diva says:

I like that Elin is leaving with the kids to move back to Sweden, now all his sponsors that supported his “family image” will drop him. The only sponsor that will stick with him for sure is Nike. His stock will plummet as a spokesperson without her.

  17. K-Love says:

Everybody is on the hate Tiger band wagon. Such hipocrites. I don’t dislike Tiger. He is human and made a terrible mistake or mistakes. People do it everyday. I’ve just lived long enough and been through enough, not to judge anybody.Frankly what happened between Tiger and Elin is their business. Whatever she do, however she handles it is her business. Leaving or staying it’s up to her. My question is what good is any of this doing? How is this helping anybody? To see a man fall, no matter what the reason, and people taking pleasure in it. just remember. He without sin cast the first stone. Judge not that you be not judged. How many times shall you forgive someone?
What about love covering a multitude of sins. Yes I am going there. Because somebody needs to. What had been done is done. Now it is time for healing and forgiveness to start taking place. My heart goes out to the Woods family and yes, that includes Tiger. A month ago everybody thought he was so great, now as we as people do, now we want to kick him now that he is down, and we see our own inperfections through him. Does it make us feel good because he is down. I pray not. It’s ok not to like what he did, but where society is wrong is trying to throw away the person. No one has a right to do that. The bible says love thy neighbor as thyself. When I do something stupid. I forgive my self real quick. As I’m sure we all do. I just know now that I have to forgive someone else who does stupid things as fast as i forgive myself. So please stop tripping, get over yourselfs go on with your lives and let Tiger and Elin go on with theirs. This is the last comment that i will be making. I am following my owne advice. See Ya

  18. Phowie says:

Q: What’s the difference between Santa Claus and Tiger Woods?

A: Santa Claus stops after three hos.

  19. lucy2 says:

That’s a good one Phowie. I still think the best line was from SNL: “Tiger Woods hit a tree, and a bunch of ladies fell out.”

I truly wish the best for Elin and the kids. I hope she’s able to move on and find happiness elsewhere, and I think it’s for the best that she’s done with the marriage, as he was never in it to begin with.
As for Tiger, I hope he has learned something from all this, that when he makes a committment to love and respect someone, he should mean it or don’t do it, and I hope someday he fully understands how much his actions have hurt his family. So many people like this fail to truly understand what they’ve done, or even understand why it was so wrong.

  20. tey says:

no point in staying with a liar/cheater who didn’t even care enough for his wife and kids to wear a condom while he slept w/sleazy types. the only way this could get worse is if he did 3-somes w/other men as well.

as to whether he should have unsupervised visits w/his kids — i think someone who is so self-involved and sex-obsessed is not to be trusted w/anyone’s children, let alone his own – esp. not his daughter.

  21. wow says:

I hope she does get a divorce. But if she really have designs on keeping those kids away fromtheir father, she is going to have one hell of a fight on her hands.

Get the divorce and move on, but don’t use your kids as a pawn. That’s low class.

Both Tiger and Elin will move on fine after the divorce. Neither of them will be desperate for attention from admirers and they will still remain rich. So there is no point in trying to drag the kids into a mess that will be solved once they go on about their lives.

  22. Birdie says:

    lol @ yeahyeahno-e … Henceforth I shall be Birdiee

But seriously, did anyone else click on the picture of Tiger’s 40+ mistress? Boy O Boy is she beat down looking. Money can’t buy good taste!

  23. Sumodo says:

    @Phowie–Great! Pumas for everyone!

  24. sunseeker says:

Who buys Nike because they are endorsed by Woods, nobody i know, we all buy what suits us and what we like. It’s stupid to stop buying Nike because Woods has cheated. How do we know that the Head of PUMA is not screwing around. Get real Woods cheated not the bosses of Nike.

  25. Goddess711 says:

There shouldn’t be any “forgiveness” until a genuine apology is given; Tiger isn’t sorry for anything. He’s still strung out on painkillers and Whats’erface and he’s pretty much proven that he doesn’t feel anything that doesn’t involve putting his one in a hole.
It’s interesting how Ho’s on the side think their love is more important, better, bigger, deeper – gimme a break. Low-self esteem baggin’ you somebody else’s man (or woman) ain’t real love – it’s self-delusion.
This is another “be careful what you wish for” thing, especially for Elin. I love that she’s not wasting a millisecond getting what’s hers and getting the eff out!
There are a kajillion guys out there thanking Tiger for being the asshole that he is – they’d LOVE a chance at treating Elin and her kids right!

  26. skibunny says:

Why is he singled out? I’m sure just about every other over paid athlete, lead singer and movie star are guilty of the same thing.

  27. Firestarter says:

Enonymous: Exactly! I couldn’t agree more.

Skibunny- I’ve said this before, he is singled out because he was packaged as “Mr. Squeaky Clean Family Man”. Sure, other celebs, athletes do screw around, but they are not marketed to the public as super men for the youth of America to look up to. His fortune was made from golf, but also from the postive, perfect image that he projected. That image has now been massively damaged by these revelations, making people, who thought better of Tiger, very unhappy. I think the public expected more from Tiger. The public doesn’t expect so much from most pro athletes, musicians, actors. I mean, I do not believe it was ever said that Mick Jagger was a role model to young men on how to live your life. Tiger, on the other hand, was.

  28. Birdie says:

@ K-Love & all the other Tiger apologists:

Please, silence your self-righteousness, do not talk to us like we are your Sunday school pupils who need to be scolded and judged. In my opinion a stupid mistake that’s quickly forgivable is one done without forethought, an accident. Tiger’s affairs were not accidents, they were malicious acts, he committed with full knowledge of their wrongness. He actively went out and pursued these women, he arranged clandestine visits and flew them all over the world. He actively worked to deceive his wife, as well as the public, and trick everyone into thinking that he was a devoted family man. Of course we all feel sorry for Elin, and think Tiger is a jerk. Not because we have never made mistakes, but because sometimes certain behavior is unforgivable, especially when someone has set out with bad intentions without ever showing any remorse.

Honestly, to me it seems more and more likely that Tiger is a deviant sociopath. He married his wife to sculpt an image of a devoted family man, and felt absolutely no remorse continually pursuing other women, even before he was married! An honest person would have felt immense guilt. An honest person would have never married Elin and tricked her into a sick farce of a loving relationship and marriage. This woman had his children! All the while he was out sleeping with any oriface he could find!

Tiger had bad intentions from day 1. He did not even come clean about the affairs until it was blatantly obvious to everyone in America that he was having them. He waited 2 weeks to confess to anything. There is no honesty or remorse, Tiger is only trying to save his image at this point.

  29. H says:

@ Birdie ITA and to the apologists Tiger didn’t fall the man jumped.

  30. hmm says:

Yes, Tiger is an evil sociopath because he cheated on his wife. Isn’t this getting a tad bit ridiculous. Tiger is worse because he was packaged as a nice guy. And Michael Jordan wasn’t? I didn’t read anyone requesting that Sean Penn be prohibited from being an Oscar contender because of his domestic violence or because of his multiple affairs over the years. Bill Clinton cheated many, many, many times and I don’t see him being vilified in the same manner that Tiger is. Tiger disrespected his wife and their marriage but he doesn’t deserve to be treated like a freaking murderer or worse than the many men who have come before him. No one knows why he married her or why she married him, but I do know that she is the one who became violent, not him. She can divorce him all she wants but that doesn’t mean that he shouldn’t see his children or that he’s a bad father.
And in my opinion, as your supposed fairy tale life is crumbling and you are trying to take care of your two small children, it seems a little bitchy to take your children away for Christmas just to stick it to your husband.

  31. Cinderella says:

    Amen, Birdie.

As for me, I’ll never buy anything Nike again. Tiger can stick his Swoosh up the old poop chute.

I hope the Puma deal works for Elin. I’d support her.

  32. Kim says:

Team Nike! That’s OK Tiger pay her 30 million and you can get another trophy wife just like Donald Trump. She only leaves after the affairs became public he has been cheating on her since before they were married .She knew his rep from info she got from the other golfers wives. I see all the other golfers except Jasper are remaining quiet so their skeletons wont come out.

  33. Temeneos says:

    well

    here’s another thought.

Tiger may have shut down completely. he has not been seen at all, his statements are kinda strange, it’s entirely possible he didn’t expect this and has shut down and is unable to work on this problem at this time.

That being said, it makes sense Elin would take the kids elsewhere if he is unable to interact with them because of the shock to his “moral compass” and he hasn’t truthfully interacted with them. It also would make sense that he is still “sexting” one or more of his mistresses because this behavior does reflect his true nature.

*Shrug* I don’t know, it seems strange, but I could totally understand Elin’s desire to get out if Tiger couldn’t show true remorse for what he has done.

  34. K-Love says:

Birdie: I am entilted to my own opinion and that’s how I feel. Your opinion is yours and we can go back and forth all day long. But guess what? It doesn’t change anything. Because people do what they are going to do bottom line and that is what I have learned in life. So calling someone names and being mean does not change anything or helps anyone. I try to have compasssion just for people in general. I have lived long enough to know. That is what’s important in life. Tiger did not do anything to me. What he did, does not effect my life one way or another so yes I can show compassion. As I did when my own husband beat me, cheated on me, used drugs, and left me to raise our son on my own without any support whatsoever. Do I hate him. No, because I haved learned people do stupid things and if I allowed what he did to stay in my heart in a negitive way. I would not have been able to be the mother I needed to be for my son. Being mad or angry would not have resolved anything. I learned to be compassionate, not from something I read about, but from what I’ve lived through in my own life. I hate when people hurt other people. I hated when I was hurt, but I dealt with it and I moved on. I learned from my mistakes. I didn’t do anything to my husband either. I just didn’t make the same mistake and marry or get involved with that type of person ever again. Bottom line we have to live, deal with life and move on.

  35. andrea says:

YOU GO, ELIN! i shall also no longer be buying nike’s overpriced stuff. if that puma campaign with elin really happens, i CANT WAIT for the taglines!

  36. Macheath says:

    @ Tey

How on Earth do you get from extra-marital affairs to pedophilia????
That’s probably the most effed up thing I’ve read about this whole thing. Unless you have evidence, accusing people of that is one of the worst things you can ever do.
You’re proof that this whole thing has gone too far now. Get a grip.

  37. moo says:

    BIRDIE – YOU ARE CORRECT.

    K-Love : go away!!!

  38. princess pea says:

You know, one incident of cheating… sucks but it isn’t a big stinking deal. One affair… sucks a LOT, but again it’s not that big a deal. However, the total is what now? 14? 15!? That’s not nothing. That’s certainly not “a mistake”.

  39. K-Love says:

    Gladly.

  40. Lway says:

I’ so glad that Elin isn’t just a pretty face and that she has the balls to stand up for herself. You go girl!

  41. Climmy Twat says:

Just how long is Tiger’s dick anyway that he could service all those broads??!

I can’t believe that he could screw anyone else when he was hooked up with one of the most gorgeous broads in the world.

But then they do say, show me the most beautiful girl in the world and I’ll show you the asshole who is tired of f***ing her!

  42. Judy says:

GOOD FOR YOU ELIN. YOUR MOVING ON.
