Prince Harry made a surprise appearance at the NFL Honors in Las Vegas

One of the Daily Mail’s biggest stories yesterday was about Prince Harry switching flights out of Heathrow on Wednesday. That’s it – the Mail obsessively tracked Harry as long as they could, and they “discovered” that Harry switched from a British Airways flight to a Delta flight because the Delta flight would get him back to LAX several hours sooner. I guess the point of the Mail’s coverage was to cry about how Harry couldn’t wait to get back to his wife and children. But now we know a secret other reason why he wanted to get back to America fast: he was due in Las Vegas on Thursday evening to present the final award at the NFL Honors.

Harry presented the “Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year” award to Pittsburgh Steelers defensive tackle Cameron Heyward. Harry surprised everyone there – his presence was not announced ahead of time, and all of those British papers trying to track Harry’s movements were caught flat-footed by his presence in Vegas. Those football players were excited to see him too, they know that’s Princess Diana’s son. Cam Heyward got on stage and the first thing out of his mouth was “Man, Prince freaking Harry. Man, I’m in shock. That’s Prince Harry.” Harry’s little intro was charming too – he’s such a huge rugby fan, so he basically talked about how Americans took rugby and made it better with football.

As you can imagine, the British media is incandescent that Harry would go somewhere and be seen while his father has cancer! Yo, Harry went to see his dad and those same people have been screaming for days about how it was great that Charles only gave his son 30 minutes and no one wants Harry in the UK anyway. Harry literally checked in with his father in person and then it was back to regularly scheduled programming for Haz. Love that for him.

  1. Talie says:

I think the reason for the visit was less conspiracy and more that Harry has a busy few weeks and didn’t need the media beating him over the head every day with when is he going to see or talk to his father. Especially if he is going to be at high profile events.

    • Laura says:

PH’s flight to UK was delayed 6hrs due to the weather, so his 30 min meeting was probably supposed to be much longer… the helicopter scheduled to take C&C to Sandringham was seen circling in Sussex for 15 mins so it looks like KC was due to leave earlier but stayed see Harry

      • Magdalena says:

Flight delay or not, his son is coming to see him after jumping on a 14-hour translatlantic flight and despite having accompanied the cancer diagnosis announcement with statements saying he would be reducing his work and stopping public duties during treatment, he could not clear his schedule for the entire afternoon to catch up with the “darling boy” his media friends keep claiming that he misses? So much so that he had a helicopter hovering (why could it not land and wait?) to make a quick getaway to his massive country estate from his large city house? He had to budget the the allotted time? It’s not as though he would be late for a meeting, he was going to rest! What was so urgent that he had to rush to Sandringham immediately? It’s not as though the house were rapidly subsiding and he had to rescue valuables.

I know Charles can be callous, but I also sense the hands of the courtiers (and Camilla) in this: “Your Majesty, unfortunately this is the only time that we can arrange transportation for you to go to Sandringham. The helicopter is here Sir, it’s best that we leave now.”

I am certain Harry expected nothing better.

      • MinorityReport says:

I’m actually not upset with Charles. He had just had his first cancer treatment that day. Harry was delayed, Charles waited and then went about his regularly scheduled day. I don’t think either of them are wrong. The rota is making a big deal out of something that probably doesn’t bother Harry or Charles.

      • aftershocks says:

In other threads, an informed and dear British CBer has told us that Harry’s visit was not just about seeing his ill father, but also about signing important documents. Knowing a bit about this gnarly institution, such ‘signings’ likely have to do with setting certain things in stone after Chuck eventually kicks it. We don’t know all that we don’t know, until we do know. 🤔

      • BeanieBean says:

Hadn’t thought about it before but yeah, no need for that chopper to circle, it could have just landed & waited.

      • Norvy says:

Also, no one know what Prince Harry discussed with his father before travel; during that time, any future arrangements may have been established, and all Harry did was check on his father before he left for Sandringham. British Media has almost no information, so they created a controversy about the amount of time spent with each other.

      • Lorelei says:

@BeanieBean, right? You’d think that Charles the environmentalist would have told them to stop wasting fuel. SMH

  2. Amy T says:

    For the win.

“That’s freakin’ Harry!! That’s Prince Harry!! That’s freakin’ Prince Harry!!”
~ Cameron Hayward, NFL Man of the Year

Yup, Cameron…that’s how we all feel 😊

      • Whyforthelove says:

Right ?!? For a guy the Palace insists is unpopular everyone is always happy to see him

    • bettyrose says:

He just clowned on American football so hard! The fact that he can charmingly mock this nation’s most revered national pasttime and still be much beloved is a testament to how genuine he is and how much we truly adore him.

      • Agreatreckoning says:

Did Harry actually clown on American football? Not imo. He wasn’t being disparaging to rugby either. He was expressing truths. American football is based on a combination of rugby & soccer.

IMO, and that might be something that set the RATS off, is Harry made the NFL sound more efficient and safer (helmets comment). He was also saying America took things from England. An exceptional balancing act from a diplomatic person.

We know rugby players personally in the states. Fortunately, the two that are close are pretty large guys. One is almost 6’8” and big in muscle way.

Mike Tindall is the poster child for rugby players needing helmets.imo

  3. TheHufflepuffLizLemon says:

We are so excited about Cam winning-my son’s fave player and he just talked about him in a speech. (He finished 2nd in his middle school as a 6th grader and he is still salty AF.) Cam winning and being presented BY Prince Harry is likely the perfect family crossover for our house.

    • Whyforthelove says:

He is one of our favorite players too.

    • Shoesies says:

We love Mr. Heyward too! He was so unabashedly fan gingering that I love him more!

Loving the way our Stealth Prince moves in silence. He tells #thatfamily nothing of his business so the media was left flat footed.

  4. Aww…. Harry is a very busy man but he still made time for his father! He is the perfect person to hand out this award because it is for service to your community and Harry knows service. How ever will the incandescent Peg top this….

    • Christine says:

Google search at KP today: What does “service is universal” mean?

    • Kittenmom says:

Maybe he will cook up an award for sports star Mike Freaking Tindall, the brother he deserves. LOL

    • Agreatreckoning says:

The Walter Payton Man of the Year Award is a big deal in the NFL. Walter Payton was a gem of a man. In Wisconsin, Green Bay Packer fan, Walter was very much loved by fans that love the sport. Disliking the Bears might be/have been a thing with some, normal good people recognize other great players.

Each year, every NFL team submits one player as the WPMoY. Heyward is an excellent choice and happy he was the recipient. He’s known as a gentleman of service. On and off the field. Love seeing CH & PH hug. Tidbits. Heyward’s charity will receive $250,000 from the NFL for this. The other nominee’s charities will receive $55K from the NFL.

      Awesome comment @Christine.

  5. vs says:

I don’t get how some people on salty island still haven’t figured out that their press is full of BS. I guess they enjoy being lied to!
Go Harry!!! I started paying attention because of my dear Meghan but Harry is incredible! The reception he is getting over here is amazing 🤩

  6. Carrie says:

Prince Harry Was. In. The. House. !!!!!!!!!
He is such a stealth Ninja. 😂 He really is appreciated in the States. Go Harry! 🍾🎉💙

    • Giddy says:

      “Prince Freaking Harry”!!!

    • Shoesies says:

We are showing Salt Island what manners look like. The fact that everyone loves Harry is gravy. That he left the brit media stumbling and his family knew nothing to leak is the SAUCE with heat!

  7. Cassie says:

Hilarious . Harry is everywhere .

They would have been in incandescent rage in pommy land and Harry doesn’t give a rats anymore .

    • bettyrose says:

I have to believe Harry doesn’t drink at all any more. Pushing 40 with his schedule, young children, and always looking energetic, Meghan’s lifestyle influence is clear.

      • Lawrenceville says:

He probably no longer drinks regularly, just socially or just seldomly. But he and Meg both look 10 years younger than their age. You’d be hard pressed to believe Meg, William and Kate are the same age. And certainly harder to believe William is just 2.5 years older than Harry. The Sussexes are aging 10 years backwards while the Waleses are aging 10 years forward. Both couples’ lifestyle choices are reflecting on their respective looks and aging processes.

      • aftershocks says:

It is well known that after courting Meghan and realizing the benefits of a clean lifestyle, Harry stopped drinking heavily, and he quit smoking. He did this on his own, without any pressure from Meg. It was just part of Harry’s overall glow-up and the result of ‘upping his game,’ for the love of a good, ‘bada$$’ woman.

      • bettyrose says:

No question, whatever changes Harry has made since Meg came into his life have been about upping his game for her, not being pressured by her. That’s what a healthy relationship is, finding someone who makes you want to be your best self, not being pressured into changing to please someone else.

      • aftershocks says:

Oh exactly @BettyRose. 💯 No personal changes made to please someone pressuring you are gonna last. To make effective changes in your life, you have to want to for yourself. What we see in H&M’s journey together is the beauty of a true, deep soul mate love founded on mutual respect, equality, and friendship. ❤️🤎💜 💫

    • Whyforthelove says:

I think I hear the incandescent echos now lol

  8. Pinkosaurus says:

Love that Steelers tweet! Prince Freaking Harry indeed. That should be added to his long list of middle names. Counting down until Prince “Blinky” William presents a rugby or soccer award, awkwardly…

    • Christine says:

      Blinky!!!

    • Lady Esther says:

Right? Prince freaking Harry! LOVE IT

Blinky Bill instead of Normal Bill.

(For the non Australians Blinky Bill is a childrens book about a cheeky young koala. It was developed in the 1930’s. 9. Izzy says:

All the saltines were “haha Chuck only gave him half an hour,” meanwhile Harry was like,” Gotta dip, going to hang with some real players in the NFL.” Epic. Legendary. Iconic.

  10. Maxine Branch says:

Harry is living his best life. As a son he did what he should have, he visited his stricken father. His intent was met and he booked out of that place as soon as he could. As usual the gutter rags in the U.K. have egg on their faces. As if William was on this man’s mind when he went to see his father. Harry has mentioned on several occasions his relationship with his brother is S-P-A-C-E. Proud of Cam Heyward.

  11. SussexFan says:

    Simply glorious.
    Eat that, BM.

  12. Tina says:

Ok this makes me so happy. I was manifesting his attendance at the game on Sunday but this works even better! The stealth way he moves now is so impressive. No leaks!

  13. Sydneygirl says:

Not me fist-pumping the air when I saw this news…

Harry: living his life in living colour.
Salt Island: butt hurt and forever bitter.

    I love it.

  14. Smart&Messy says:

Hi5 Harry! It makes me giddy to see him appreciated like that. Of course, the BM will find a way to say that it’s a bad thing, but who cares? So pathetic with the flight tracking and all. And I’m petty, so I love it for Peg too. He finally manages to get himself into an event about aviation with the presence of an A-lister, and then Harry does this. Poor Peg can’t catch up. I’m sure he is already passed out after drunk-shrieking for an hour. I truly hope he is not around the kids right now.

  15. aquarius64 says:

Right on cue the Fail was raging about Harry presenting the award and not giving a shout out to Charles.

    • Tessa says:

If he had the s h o u t out derangers would say. How come he did not mention Kate. He is phony. And the derangers mantra about Charles will.Harry is great and makes derangers look desperate.

    • Dee(2) says:

Why would you make giving an award to someone about their service about you and your family? Of course I know that’s just because they want to link the royal family to any sort of positive widespread attention, but that would be beyond crass. And if this is a sort of advice that they give, no wonder William’s always saying bone-headed things.

    • Just Jade says:

I don’t think the BM Rats will make it til Wednesday and I am loving it for them. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

    • Norvy says:

It would have looked very bad for Prince Harry to make any reference about his father, when he was there to present an NFL award to one man. That would have looked disrespectful.

      • Christine says:

Seriously, they need to come up with a different narrative, because performative outrage over Harry not referencing his father’s cancer (previously: surgery for an enlarged prostate) any time he is in public is absurd.

      • StarWonderful says:

        Yup.

    • Agreatreckoning says:

      @Izzy, ++

I just love that Harry presenting this award was a secret!

BM: Charles only gave Harry 30 minutes. He’s not worth Chubbly King’s time.
NFL: Prince Harry presented the NFL’s Walter Payton Man of the Year award and had huge hug time with Cam Heyward.

      The end.

This should have posted under comment #9.

Anyhoo, why would Harry reference his father during an NFL awards ceremony for someone else’s service???? Was Chuck ever a grand supporter of the NFL?? RR’s/BM get wierder every day.

    • Shoesies says:

They been screaming forever that he stop speaking on the rf. Saying that’s all he has to talk about – well oops you bad wrong

  16. JanetDR says:

What a lovely story to wake up to! We love our Harry 💗

  17. Kay says:

Lovely to see Harry . People were glad to see him. He has a lovely relaxed style and puts everyone at ease unlike his brother.when he grins he reminds me so much of his mother. On the other side one DM reporter Jan Moir thought it was disgraceful than Harry travelled all that way and was given less than 30mins and not even offered accommodation. Also his brother was spouting off how much he hates Harry . When he becomes King he will throw Harry out of the Royal family all together and strip his children of their titles. This is becoming so boring the royals need to move on . They have lost their shining stars and now regret it.

  18. Thena says:

Too bad Willy couldn’t sober up enough to find some sports gala willing to have him. Did he ever meet with the winning Women’s World Cup team?

  19. Jais says:

    Let’s gooooo, Harry! 😂🏈😂🏈😂🏈😂🏈
Some people are gonna be big mad.
Congratulations to Cam Heyward. I don’t follow football that closely but he has great energy.

  20. Beverley says:

Another positive sighting of Harry, such wildly cheering crowds, and his charming introduction has heads exploding in KP today.

Keep crying, Pegs. You cannot compare to your Better Brother.

Besides, Harry’s jokes are better too.

    • BlueNailsBetty says:

Right? The crowd was psyched (!) to see Harry walking out. A room full of rough, tough, macho men lost their minds when he walked out.

I love this for every one in that room.

  21. Inge says:

I’m not into American Football but nice that they asked Prince Harry, known sports lover, to hand out the award.

The Payton family didn’t even know!

and now I’m aware of who Walter Payton and Cam Hayward are…

    • Cessily says:

      Pure “Sweetness” ❤️

    • Berkeleyfarm says:

As I said on twitter, the Walter Peyton award is a big deal in the NFL. The winners might not be the most famous people to the public, but they are certainly famous and exceedingly well-respected in the league as well as beloved by the communities they serve.

So fitting for philanthropist, sports-loving Harry to present this particular award. Game recognizing game.

(And the fact that he was asked means that he has influential connections. He did well and I would absolutely not be surprised to learn of some substantial NFL-Invictus partnership.)

    • Charlotte says:

Walter Payton was a legend for All the Reasons. Stellar guy. Faced all the usual Chicago racism. Did good things. Was lovely lovely lovely. Died way too soon.
When I was in high school, the Bears started practicing in my home town (the local college built them a facility). One morning the busses pull up, and we’re all — why is Walter Payton standing on the auditorium steps? It was a beautiful building, built by the WPA because the local rich people didn’t want to shell out for a school for the “children of the servants” — but they also wanted it to be beautiful. Anyhow Sweetness was over on the auditorium portico shooting a car commercial, and we were all in awe.
Also, we would only ever have called him “Mr. Payton. Sir.”

  22. Krista says:

Love this! Can’t wait for the BM to talk about how irrelevant the NFL is…

    • MinorityReport says:

      Hahaha!

They’ll probably wind up insulting Taylor Swift, then the Swifties will end the monarchy. 🤣

  23. Amy Bee says:

Yeah, Harry knew he would be bashed if he turned up in Las Vegas without seeing his father. I love this for him. The British press are screaming and vomiting about this appearance.

  24. Shawna says:

    First mentions Prince Harry before…God!

  25. Jay says:

Yes, that’s awesome for Harry, but I pity the staffers at KP who are going to have to make up a sports award for TOB to present, too. At least it might get him out of the house!

  26. koko says:

    Way to go Cam.🖤💛
    Yep…that was Prince Freaking Harry.
Perfect award for him to present…an award all about service.

  27. Tessa says:

Meghan and the children no doubt enjoyed watching harry at the awards and watched at home.

  28. Tessa says:

Cue more stories today at how William is angry at harry.

  29. Jan says:

Harry is always working, ‘Better Up’ headquarters are in San Francisco, who knows if Harry is networking with the NFL.
Will not be surprise to see, if he atttends the Superbowl.
The Tabloids were wetting themselves that Chucky only spent 30/45 minutes with Harry, not knowing he had business to take care of in Las Vegas.
England Rugby players must genuinely miss his patronage, because they could count on his support.
Their new patron is a Ghost.

    • Shawna says:

If Harry shows up supporting the 49ers, and Taylor shows up too, I can’t imagine the state of this site Monday morning!

      • Charfromdarock says:

Imagine the state of the RR and KP, if Taylor Swift rocks up with Harry and Meghan in the same box. 😂

    • tamsin says:

Isn’t Better-Up already doing something with the NFL?

      • Agreatreckoning says:

Yes. That came out after Harry’s appearance at the 2022 Super Bowl. The one where one of The Queen of Derangers, Angela Levin, claimed Meghan was drawing attention to herself by not being there.LOFLZZZZZZZZZZZZZ Meghan drew attention to herself by staying home and out of the public eye. Dead. I have to say, back then, when I first read it, I was like WTF and felt defensive for Meghan. A minute or so later, it was, thank you for showing your nuttery.

Also, Dr. Damian Vaughn, PhD, Chief Programs Officer for BetterUp, is a former NFL player. He was a TE for the Bengals & Buccaneers. Played in Euro? football I believe and is nice to look at. Oh, he also went to Brazil with Tony Gonzalez in 2003 to promote the NFL. D*mn, to be reporter then. Two fortunate looking men.

It’s like looking at three men at an awards ceremony wearing their suits quite well.

  30. sunny says:

Just for additional context, this is the pretty much the best award and the NFL asked Harry to present it. League MVP is the biggest award but the Walter Payton award is celebrating who the man is off the football game- specifically how they support the communities around them. Every year, each NFL submits one player for consideration.

Perfect award for Harry to give out because it is about service.

    • Giddy says:

Agree completely! I love this so much! And the crowd reaction to Harry was fabulous. Hooray for all involved!

    • Harper says:

Walter Payton was considered the greatest Chicago Bear player ever, who led the team to one of its only Super Bowl wins. His nickname was “Sweetness” as his off-field persona was all charm and love. He started his own foundation while a Bear and anonymously donated thousands of dollars to children in Chicago.

He died of a rare liver disease at 46 years old. When he was dying but his illness was not disclosed, a local sportscaster noted his deteriorating physical appearance and joked on-air that he looked like Ghandi, which rightly caused an uproar. He died that same year, but called the anchor to forgive him. Hearing Prince Harry’s and Walter Payton’s names together makes me want to cry.

      • Chantal1 says:

@Harper Thanks for the brief bio. I was never really into football so I only knew Walter’s name bc my father was a huge Bears fan. Loved how the audience welcomed Harry.

      • I’m going to date myself, but do you remember the “Super Bowl Shuffle” music video that the Bears made at that time? My family used to have it on VHS, and I remember it being one of my favorite tapes to play over and over again when I was little lol. To this day whenever I see Walter Payton’s name mentioned anywhere, his adorable rap from the video pops into my head, “so they call me Sweetness and I like to dance, running the ball is like making romance!” and it always makes me smile. RIP to the legend.

      • Proud Mary says:

I absolutely adored him, and I’m not even a Bears fan. Walter’s nickname, “Sweetness” suited him well.

  31. SueBarbri33 says:

This was amazing. Just a stroke of genius. Harry has his mother’s charisma, and her instincts for making a splash. Love this man! I saw this last night and was filled with happiness.

  32. Meghan says:

When I saw the headline my first thought was Fergie Ferg’s “oh $hit.” Heads are gonna explode.

While I know that Harry wanted to go see his sick father and made that happen, part of me is hoping that Charles asked Harry to come back and help and Harry was all “no, thanks. My family is in Cali and I’ve got prior commitments” and then bounced.

  33. paddingtonjr says:

Let’s see: in less than a week, Harry flew to another country in order to visit with his cancer-stricken father, then came back and presented at an awards show (also known as “work” in the BRF), all while being, by all accounts outside of the BM, a loving husband and doting father. In more than a month, Williams managed to see his hospitalized once in two weeks and barely managed two local events in one day. Aside from the public being told he’s looking after his wife and doing the school run, there is absolutely no evidence of how he spends his time.

    • BlueNailsBetty says:

I’m sure Harry is also doing work to prepare for his visit to Canada for the one year to Invictus celebration.

Meanwhile, Will showed up stoned to a work function and dropped a medal.

  34. HeatherC says:

I watched the whole broadcast and it was a very nice surprise! Esp since my players got robbed lol (Flacco coming back from the Jets disaster last year was more of a comeback than Damar Hamlin coming back from cardiac arrest while playing? Ugh.) He looked fit and handsome and Heyward’s reaction was adorable.

And yes, MOTY is a major award for the NFL.

    • Lauren says:

Yeah, Damar Hamilin was definitely robbed

      • Moneypenny424 says:

I read a lot of NFL stuff and a lot of people felt that Damar shouldn’t win because he didn’t actually play very much. I think that is silly–coming back from cardiac arrest is the greatest comeback of all–but that’s what others felt.

If he plays more games next year, he’d still be the best candidate!

      • HeatherC says:

@Moneypenny Hamlin played 5 games. Flacco played 6. And he came back from what? Being on a horrible team last year and not playing for half the season this year? Still a little salty over here in Bills Mafia.

  35. Chelsea says:

What’s Meghan been feeding this man? He looks fine as Hello 😩. In so incredibly glad that the UK press has spent the last 2 days writing about how his family hates hin and doesn’t want to see him and that Charles meeting with him for less than an hour was to humiliate hum because now they’re left floundering as they try to make Harry out to be terrible fot flying back for this event(even though he has no house to stay in the UK because his father evicted him from his house). Yall told him he’s not wanted or needed so he can go about his business as he pleases.

  36. Jk says:

Bwahahaha! My goodness! Harry is an absolute star. What a legend. I’m just delighted for him.

Yesterday I was so disgusted with Charles but I saw the photo of Harry smiling at the airport as he was leaving and thought, ah he seems ok with his short visit, and now this. Just brilliant.

  37. tamsin says:

One can only conclude that Harry went to great lengths and suffered back to back transatlantic flights to check in on his dad before his Vegas and Invictus commitments. Harry flew out of LA while California was being pelted by a major storm, and we’re hearing that his flight to Heathrow was delayed by several hours. Mind you, Charles could still have delayed his heli flight, unless it was getting dark and the chopper can’t fly in the dark. So it’s been a marathon the last three days for Harry. The man has stamina, and is a busy man. No sign of jet-lag, swaying, or blinking.

  38. Becks1 says:

I love this. IMO it completely changes the narrative around this week – HARRY made time in his busy schedule to see his father, not the other way around. Harry didn’t stay longer in the UK because Harry had this important award to give (and it is very important for the NFL.)

and it says a lot about him that the NFL asked him to present this award. I would love to see him back at the Super Bowl~!

  39. sevenblue says:

This really shows that Harry would never reach his full potential in UK. That place (especially after Brexit) is too small for him. Glad to see him happy and thriving in USA.

    • seaflower says:

He would never have been allowed to reach his full potential – he was not allowed to out shine PWT.

    • Kingston says:

This is why they keep spreading the hilarious joke (bcos it cant be seen as anything else) that M didnt like the fact that she was second to kHATE; which has given birth to the joke from derangers that M wanted to be queen.

      I kid you not.

In reality, when they were in the cage, H&M had impactful, carefully planned and sustainable projects they wanted to get done. But they were held back because they couldnt be seen to be out-doing the lazy duo ahead of them.

I’m someone who dislikes football and lives happily without it, so thank you Harry for warning me about rugby 😄
This is really charming, though: Prince Freaking Harry, love this!

  41. Lulu says:

This is the opposite of obliterated. Good for Harry.

  42. Ginger says:

Harry is a legend. To fly over 14 hours to see your dad just stops those ridiculous narratives the British press are trying to push. Everyone knows he went and saw his dad and the narrative looks like ‘Harry squeezed in his dad during a very busy time for him’’ Love it.

  43. phlyfiremama says:

The prospect of M&H at the Superbowl is a SERIOUS heat score for the NFL. Throw in the possibility of Taylor being there and forget about the game, I would be watching for the cut aways alone. 😂😂 Good on you, America’s Prince Harry. We scored getting you on our side.

  44. Kittenmom says:

Just waiting for the British media: “Harry desperate to grab the spotlight from Baldimort and Tom Cruise! So he paid the NFL last minute to let him present MOY trophy! Waaaaah!”

  45. Mrs. Smith says:

Honestly, it is such a brilliant PR move to present this sports award, make in-person introductions with top NFL stars and then take ALL that love and media momentum to Vancouver for the Invictus visit next week. So smart! He also looks great and rested. I don’t know how he does it!

  46. Renae says:

I’m convinced we ‘grow’ not Because of our parents but Despite them.
    Go Harry!

  47. Swaz says:

Go Harry 👏👏👏 and he’s so handsome 😍😍😍

  48. Honey says:

In a spite/revenge move, the DM will probably start running stories about “the last time Harry was in Vegas” and will likely start rerunning the pictures where he supposedly played strip poker.

It was mentioned on Twitter that the NFL may likely be one of Harry’s upcoming financial sponsors for the Invictus Games. If so, that would be great.

    • Tessa says:

There are embarrassing photos out there of William at a stag party and more recently the dad dancing weekend when he left his wife and children for a weekend to party. Maybe social media could counter by putting out those photos of William

  49. kyliegirl says:

This is so awesome! Congratulations to Cam Heyward! Also, the mystery to why Harry’s photo was on the bulletin board during the promos for the Manning Cast. I was hoping he was going to be a guest, but when that didn’t happen I was confused though thought they were just fans. Nationwide sponsors the Walter Peyton Award and Manning is closely tied to them and they have been hyping the award all morning. Well done for keeping it under wraps if this is true.

  50. Normades says:

That picture of a hug with a man he’s never met before. This is why he is Diana’s son and Will could just never.

  51. Miss617 says:

I love this crossover, Prince Harry presenting an award for a player that shows service is universal.

Since we now know Harry has gotten into American football through his previous rugby fandom, I’d love to see Harry go on the Kelce brothers’ podcast. There’s a lot of interesting parallels between William/Harry and Jason/Travis (younger brother is flashier, older brother married to a relative normie with kids when the younger brother meets a glamorous celebrity partner who hijacks the family’s news cycle) and I could picture all three of them crying over how Jason has been the ideal big brother throughout the whole circus that The Other Brother was too narcissistic and contemptible to be.

  52. Kelsey says:

LMFAOOOOO go on and go forth, Ginger Avenger!!!

  53. Lau says:

I hope the Sussexes keep on making these surprise public appearances every week because it’s delightful to see the British media freaking out.

  54. Linda says:

I never watch this award show, but I did last night to see my QB Lamar. I screamed when Harry came out and scared my husband. Then I thought he spent some time with Chuck and peaced out of salty island to live his own life. This kills their narrative of him getting snubbed…

    • Pinkosaurus says:

@Linda what an awesome surprise for you! I saw the headline so knew what was coming in the clip, and was still so delighted.

  55. QuiteContrary says:

Harry just has the “it” factor — rizz, as the kids say.

He just radiates, like his Mom. And like Meghan.

    This is so great.

  56. Over it says:

I don’t know what fashion house Harry is wearing but can I say, every major fashion brand should give this man a deal. He is the suit. Harry , Madame Duchess Meghan husband is that hotttt.

  57. Mary Pester says:

Ah how’s the tux brothers looking today bm 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Hey willy, this is how it’s done!!
Harry’s flight was delayed or he would have had longer with his father, and wouldn’t willy and cam have screamed then.
Charlie couldn’t delay the helicopter as it’s not equipped for night flight and if Charlie’s medication is anything like mine, it’s time sensitive and leaves you feeling really ill afterwards.
Good on you Harry, I absolutely LOVE the welcome you get everywhere (apart from this toxic island). The only down side of this is it’s given the BM extra column inches, but hey after the gruesome twosome tux brothers, (is it me or is Tom starting to look like a shar pei with a wig?) and Billy, well the penis with teeth will always be fugly. Your really a site for these tired eyes.

    • Lauren says:

I was impressed that Prince Harry still looked tall next to an NFL player, they make normal sized people look tiny.

  58. Saucy&Sassy says:

Mary Pester, I can’t for the life of me figure out why the suits and dresses that the brf wear are not tailored correctly. How is that possible. When I look at Harry, it’s clear that his suits are tailored and he look superb. He has great posture, which I think the military probably instilled in him. That’s part of the look, too.

  59. Mrs.Krabapple says:

CNN’s article on this described the athletes as “star-struck.” S_ck it, William and Charles

  60. AC says:

The responses from NFL and even the NFL fans have been mostly positive. It’s funny how derangers try to put something negative on their posts but their comments are literally getting ripped apart lolZ…They haven’t dealt with NFL fans before and how brutal they can be 😆.
    Im really happy for Harry.
Btw.. regarding the BM and BRF delusional theory that he’s not popular in the US because in their warped minds they think they are the voice of Americans . As you can see for yourself, H is very much Loved in the US. They can Stay Mad!

    • Sid says:

AC, it is always entertaining watching what happens when derangers leave their troll dens and try to comment about the Sussexes in online spaces that are populated by normal human beings. The derangers get dragged and mocked every single time and end up having to run back to their dark corners. They just don’t get that most people either like or are indifferent to the Sussexes and the average person ain’t interested in entertaining the derangers’ brand of crazy.

    • Lauren says:

Yeah, you don’t wan to get into a pissing match with sports fans they can out vile any troll

  61. JP says:

Charles only had 45 minutes for Harry was actually Harry having a tiny window to spare for Charles, lol.

  62. Kay says:

Kevin OSullivan Talktv. Saying wanted Harry an embarrassment at the NFL award ceremony? How vulgar it all was. Couldn’t the NFL find someone better to give out the award. The critiqued him for not mentioning his sick father and sister in law. Then went on to say how wonderful William was getting back to work and mentioning his poor sick Father. They must be sick after Harry winning his court and William disappearing into the countryside again. I wonder what they will say about Harry and Meghan attending this Super Bowl. After all Wills and Kate are more popular in the US than Harry and Meghan.

    • Just Jade says:

Guess what? Harry would have been able to turn the embarrassment into a joke and people would laugh, applaud and love him even more. Sorry losers go kick rocks!

  63. GeordieinCA says:

Prince Freaking Harry! I LOVE it!! Still trying to coincide my travel time to pass thru Santa Barbara and see his polo training, that’s another sport that is full on!

  64. Agreatreckoning says:

Walter Payton is legendary in the NFL. Great human of humans. CBS produced a great story on Walter Payton. That included Brian Piccolo & Gale Sayers. The videos are out there. Sayers & Piccolo’s relationship is well documented. Payton admired both. The Walter Payton Man of the Year Award isn’t solely about philanthropy. It’s also about race relations. Service is Universal. If you need a cry, watch the videos of Payton and his amazing self or Brian’s Song, the relationship between a white and black man, in the same position on the same team. Love.

@SueBarbri33, that video was awesome. It still is. Bit of a giggle-white men couldn’t dance. 83 had the moves. The Bears won the Super Bowl that year too(beat the Patriots I believe). Payton totaled over 2,000 yards in that season. I love the Bears Super Bowl Shufflin’ Crew.

But, it’s certainly important for us to know that Chuck could only give Harry a half hour of his time per the BM and their nefarious sources.

  65. Emily says:

When will the UK press fully realize there are something like 350 million of us—and we were and are largely team Spencer? Charles doesn’t poll well here. And Harry has found a whole nation of fans five times bigger than the UK. And we have the giant cultural events (and Cash) that go along with our size. The UK needs to rightsize its sense of importance in the grand scheme of things. There is so much potential here—that will never exist for M and H in the UK.

  66. Truthiness says:

A couple of days ago the Brit media was writing trash about Harry. Then Meghan was papped smiling. How dare she smile over anything in her life! But also, she knew Harry was en route to Vegas and she knew what happens when Harry appears to a crowd.
